Abstract

(1) The article relating to the design of the present application is a storage rack for storing cylindrical sample containers with lids for collecting and storing liquid samples such as scientific analysis samples and blood, and for performing centrifugation and various physical and chemical analytical treatments. The lid of a sample container can be opened and closed from above with a screwdriver while the sample container is stored inside. A screw drive mechanism that can be rotated with a screwdriver is provided on the upper surface of the lid of the sample container. (2) It is a combination of two components: the storage rack body and the storage rack cover that covers the upper surface of the storage rack body. (3) The storage rack body is provided with compartments for storing sample containers, into which the sample containers can be inserted and stored. (4) The compartments of the storage rack body are provided with rotation stoppers to prevent the stored sample containers from rotating in the horizontal plane. (5) The upper wall surface of the storage rack cover is provided with through holes from the front to the back for accessing the lids of the sample containers, and the tip of a screwdriver can access the sample containers below through the through holes. (6) On the back wall of the storage rack cover, there are claws facing downwards that can be fitted onto the lid of the sample container, surrounding the through-hole. When the lid of the sample container is fitted into these claws, its sides are gripped by the claws and suspended, holding it in place. (7) When the sample container is stored in the storage rack body (initial state), and the storage rack cover is placed over it from above, there is a gap between the lid of the sample container and the claws on the back of the sample container, and the claws have not yet gripped it. (8) As opening procedure 1, the tip of a screwdriver is inserted from above through the through-hole of the storage rack cover and fitted into the screw drive part on the upper surface of the lid of the target sample container, and the lid can be detached from the body of the sample container by rotating it. (9) As opening procedure 2, when the screwdriver is pulled upwards while still engaged with the tip of the screwdriver, the lid of the sample container fits into the claws on the back of the storage rack cover, its sides are gripped, and the lid is suspended, holding it in place. (10) As part of the opening procedure 3, when the storage rack cover is detached from the storage rack body, the main body of the sample storage container is in the compartment of the storage rack body with the lid removed and in an open state, allowing access to the inside of the sample storage container.(11) By going back through the steps of opening procedure 1, opening procedure 2, and opening procedure 3 described above, it is possible to return to the closed state in which the sample container is stored in the storage rack body.
