Abstract
Description
[Technical field]
[0001] The present invention relates to an absorbent article. [Background technology]
[0002] Various techniques have been proposed for deodorizing body fluids secreted or excreted from the human body. For example, disposable diapers and sanitary napkins are widely used as absorbent articles used to absorb and retain urine, menstrual blood, and the like. On the other hand, bodily fluids other than urine and menstrual blood include bodily fluids caused by cancer, skin diseases, etc. These bodily fluids generally have a sickly odor. Various techniques have been proposed for deodorizing the odor of body fluids absorbed by absorbent articles. For example, Patent Documents 1 to 3 describe absorbent articles having a top sheet, a back sheet, and an absorbent body and a deodorizing sheet between the two sheets. [Prior art documents] [Patent documents]
[0003] [Patent Document 1] JP 2015-70995 A [Patent Document 2] JP 2016-120192 A [Patent Document 3] Patent Publication No. 2021-186080 Summary of the Invention [Problem to be solved by the invention]
[0004] In Patent Documents 1 to 3, the deodorizing sheet is a sheet containing activated carbon. In order for the deodorizing sheet to fully exert the deodorizing effect, it is necessary for the sheet to contain a large amount of activated carbon. However, if the amount of activated carbon in the sheet is large, the sheet becomes hard and loses flexibility, so that the fit when the absorbent article is worn is impaired. In addition, the deodorizing sheet of Patent Document 3 is disposed between the top sheet and the absorbent body, on both sides of the longitudinal center line of the absorbent article. In Patent Document 3, when the absorbent article is worn, the end of each of the pair of deodorizing sheets on the center line side may be rolled up or bent toward the skin-facing surface side. If the end of the deodorizing sheet is rolled up or bent, the end of the deodorizing sheet may become hard, and the wearer may feel uncomfortable. Furthermore, if the ends of the deodorizing sheet are bent so that the outer surfaces of the sheets face each other and part of the outer surface of the sheet is covered by the sheet itself, the area of the part of the sheet that can fully exert its deodorizing function will be narrowed, and there is a risk that the deodorizing performance will be reduced. An object of the present invention is to provide an absorbent article that can overcome the above-mentioned drawbacks of the conventional techniques. [Means for solving the problem]
[0005] The present invention relates to an absorbent article comprising a top sheet and a back sheet, and comprising an absorbent body and a functional sheet between the top sheet and the back sheet. The absorbent article preferably has a longitudinal direction and a transverse direction. It is preferable that the functional sheet has a porous particle-containing portion and a non-porous particle-containing portion, and is disposed continuously in the width direction of the absorbent article. The containing portion preferably has a longitudinally extending portion extending along the longitudinal direction. It is preferable that the non-containing portion is formed continuously or discontinuously along the longitudinal direction between the longitudinally extending portions adjacent to each other in the width direction. It is preferable that the containing portion and the non-containing portion have different basis weights. Effect of the Invention
[0006] According to the present invention, it is possible to provide an absorbent article that has deodorizing properties and is excellent in fit. [Brief description of the drawings]

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS
[0008] DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS The present invention will now be described based on preferred embodiments with reference to the drawings. Fig. 1 shows one embodiment of an absorbent article of the present invention. The absorbent article 1 shown in Fig. 1 has a longitudinal direction X and a width direction Y. The longitudinal direction X is a direction in which the length of the absorbent article 1 is longer than the width direction Y. As shown in Figs. 1 and 2, the absorbent article 1 includes a top sheet 2 and a back sheet 3. Furthermore, the absorbent article 1 includes an absorbent body 4 and a functional sheet 5 between the top sheet 2 and the back sheet 3. Either the functional sheet 5 or the absorbent body 4 may be located on the skin-facing side. In this embodiment, the absorbent body 4 is located closer to the skin-facing side than the functional sheet 5. In addition, an intermediate sheet 6 is disposed between the top sheet 2 and the absorbent body 4. The intermediate sheet 6 is also called a second sheet, a sublayer sheet, or the like, and is made of paper or various nonwoven fabrics.
[0009] The top sheet 2 is disposed on the skin-facing side of the absorbent body 4, and the back sheet 3 is disposed on the non-skin-facing side of the absorbent body 4. In this embodiment, the top sheet 2 and the back sheet 3 have the same shape and size in a plan view. The top sheet 2 and the back sheet 3 may have different shapes in a plan view, and may have different dimensions in the longitudinal direction X or width direction Y. The top sheet 2 may be larger or smaller than the back sheet 3 in the longitudinal direction X or width direction Y.
[0010] The functional sheet 5 is disposed between the absorbent 4 and the back sheet 3. The functional sheet 5 is disposed continuously along the width direction Y. Specifically, the functional sheet 5 is made of one sheet that is continuous in the width direction Y. The functional sheet 5 has a substantially rectangular shape in plan view. As shown in FIG. 3, the functional sheet 5 has a porous particle-containing portion 51 and a non-containing portion that does not contain porous particles. The porous particles are capable of adsorbing or encapsulating odor components generated from the body fluid absorbed by the absorbent 4 in their pores. The porous particles are fine particles having a large number of pores. Examples of odor components include phenol-based odor components such as phenol, p-cresol, 4-vinyl-2-methoxyphenol, 4-vinylphenol, 2-methoxy-1,3-benzenediol, 1,4-benzenediol, and 1,3-benzenediol for urine odor, and lower fatty acids, dimethyl trisulfide, and acetoin for odor components generated from cancer exudates. The details of the porous particles will be described later.
[0011] The containing portion 51 has a longitudinally extending portion 51a extending along the longitudinal direction. In this embodiment, the containing portion 51 is arranged intermittently in the width direction Y. Between the longitudinally extending portions 51a adjacent to each other in the width direction Y, the non-containing portion 52 is formed continuously or discontinuously along the longitudinal direction X. In this embodiment, the non-containing portion 52 is formed continuously in the longitudinal direction X. In this embodiment, the absorbent article 1 has a side edge non-containing portion that does not contain porous particles at the side edge portion in the width direction Y, but since the side edge non-containing portion is not located between the containing portions 51, it is not included in the "non-containing portion" of the functional sheet. The functional sheet may not have one or both side edge non-containing portions.
[0012] In the absorbent article 1 of this embodiment, the advantage of the non-containing portion 52 being located between the longitudinally extending portions 51a adjacent to each other in the width direction Y is as follows. The non-containing portion 52 of the functional sheet 5 does not contain porous particles, and is therefore softer and more easily deformed than the containing portion 51. Since the soft and easily deformed non-containing portion 52 is disposed between the containing portions 51 adjacent to each other in the width direction Y, when an external force compressing the absorbent article 1 in the width direction Y is applied to the absorbent article 1 while the absorbent article 1 is being worn, the non-containing portion 52 of the functional sheet 5 is more easily compressed in the width direction Y. Therefore, the absorbent article 1 is more easily deformed along the body, and the fit of the absorbent article 1 can be improved. Since the non-containing portion 52 extends along the longitudinal direction X, the non-containing portion 52 is more easily compressed in the width direction Y, and the fit of the absorbent article 1 can be further improved.
[0013] In addition, the containing portion 51 and the non-containing portion 52 have different basis weights. In this embodiment, the non-containing portion 52 has a smaller basis weight than the containing portion 51. In this embodiment, the functional sheet 5 is a laminated sheet in which a porous particle-containing sheet 5a is partially disposed between a pair of non-containing sheets 5b, 5b that do not contain porous particles, as shown in FIG. 3(b). In the functional sheet 5, the pair of non-containing sheets 5b, 5b and the containing sheet 5a are integrated. The containing sheet 5a is disposed intermittently in the width direction Y. The containing portion 51 has a three-layer laminated structure in which the containing sheet 5a is disposed between the pair of non-containing sheets 5b, 5b. The non-containing portion 52 has a two-layer laminated structure in which the containing sheet 5a is not disposed between the pair of non-containing sheets 5b, 5b.
[0014] The basis weight can be measured by the following method. <Method of measuring basis weight> From the functional sheet 5, a 10 mm x 10 mm sheet piece including the entire thickness direction is cut out for each of the non-containing portion and the containing portion, and the basis weight is calculated by dividing the mass of the sheet piece by the area of the sheet piece. For both the non-containing portion and the containing portion, 10 pieces of the sheet piece are cut out, and the average basis weight calculated for each is taken as the basis weight of the non-containing portion and the containing portion. If it is difficult to cut out a 10 mm x 10 mm sheet piece, a sheet piece of similar dimensions is cut out and measured in the same manner. The number of measurements is 10 cm for a total area. 2 So that it is about the same.
[0015] In the absorbent article 1 of the present embodiment, by making the basis weight of the containing portion 51 and the non-containing portion 52 different, the functional sheet 5 can be easily folded at the boundary between the containing portion 51 and the non-containing portion 52, so that the absorbent article 1 can be more easily deformed along the body, and the fit of the absorbent article 1 can be further improved. From the viewpoint of making the non-containing portion 52 more easily compressed in the width direction Y and further improving the fit of the absorbent article 1, it is preferable that the non-containing portion 52 has a smaller basis weight than the containing portion 51. Specifically, the ratio M2 / M1 of the basis weight M2 of the non-containing portion 52 to the basis weight M1 of the containing portion 51 is preferably 2.5 or less, more preferably 2.3 or less, and even more preferably 2.0 or less. In addition, from the viewpoint of obtaining sufficient deodorizing power, the ratio M2 / M1 of the basis weight M2 of the non-containing portion 52 to the basis weight M1 of the containing portion 51 is preferably 1.1 or more, more preferably 1.3 or more, and even more preferably 1.5 or more.
[0016] The absorbent article 1 of the present embodiment may be, for example, an incontinence pad, a sanitary napkin, a disposable diaper, etc., which is used mainly for absorbing and retaining body fluids such as urine, menstrual blood, etc. When the absorbent article 1 is used mainly for absorbing and retaining body fluids such as urine, menstrual blood, etc., it is preferable to wear the absorbent article 1 in the crotch area of a wearer such that the longitudinal direction X of the absorbent article 1 coincides with the front-rear direction of the wearer of the absorbent article 1.
[0017] The absorbent article 1 may be used primarily to absorb and retain bodily fluids resulting from cancer, skin diseases, etc. For example, when cancer-derived exudates are secreted from advanced cancers that have infiltrated the skin, such as breast cancer, the absorbent article 1 may be used to absorb such secretions. For example, in order to absorb exudates resulting from breast cancer, the absorbent article 1 may be worn on the breast with the longitudinal direction X of the absorbent article 1 approximately perpendicular to the midline.
[0018] In the thickness direction of the absorbent article 1, the functional sheet 5 can be disposed at any position between the top sheet 2 and the back sheet 3. It is preferable that the functional sheet 5 is not in direct contact with the top sheet 2 in the thickness direction of the absorbent article 1. Specifically, it is preferable that the non-skin facing surface of the top sheet 2 and the skin facing surface of the functional sheet 5 are not directly opposed to each other. In other words, it is preferable that another member is disposed between the top sheet 2 and the functional sheet 5. In this embodiment, as shown in FIG. 2, the absorbent body 4 is disposed between the top sheet 2 and the functional sheet 5. Instead of the absorbent body 4, an intermediate sheet 6 may be disposed between the top sheet 2 and the functional sheet 5. Since the non-skin facing surface of the top sheet 2 and the skin facing surface of the functional sheet 5 are not directly opposed to each other, even if the wearer's excretory liquid penetrates the top sheet 2 while the absorbent article 1 is being worn, the functional sheet 5 can be prevented from becoming wet with the liquid and the deodorizing performance of the sheet 5 can be prevented from being reduced.
[0019] In this embodiment, the functional sheet 5 is joined to the back sheet 3 at a joint 7 as shown in FIG. 4. The joint 7 extends along the longitudinal direction X. The joints 7 are arranged intermittently in the width direction Y. From the viewpoint of preventing the functional sheet 5 from losing its flexibility, the length L1 of the joint 7 in the width direction Y is preferably 10 mm or less, more preferably 8 mm or less, and even more preferably 5 mm or less. Moreover, from the viewpoint of firmly joining the functional sheet 5 to the back sheet 3 and preventing a decrease in deodorizing power and discomfort due to twisting of the functional sheet 5, and from the viewpoint of fixation of the functional sheet, the length L1 of the joint 7 in the width direction Y is preferably 0.1 mm or more, more preferably 0.2 mm or more, and even more preferably 0.3 mm or more. The joint 7 is formed by applying an adhesive. As the adhesive, a hot melt adhesive or the like can be used. The application pattern of the adhesive is not particularly limited, and may be, for example, a bead shape, a spiral shape, an elongated surface shape, a wave shape, or the like.
[0020] From the viewpoint of preventing the flexibility of the functional sheet 5 from decreasing, the ratio L3 / L2 of the distance L3 between the adjacent joints 7 in the width direction Y to the length L2 in the width direction Y of the non-containing portion 52 is preferably 20% or more, more preferably 30% or more, and even more preferably 50% or more. In addition, from the viewpoint of preventing a decrease in deodorizing power and discomfort due to twisting of the functional sheet 5, the ratio L3 / L2 of the distance L3 between the adjacent joints 7 in the width direction Y to the length L2 in the width direction Y of the non-containing portion 52 is preferably 400% or less, more preferably 350% or less, and even more preferably 300% or less. When there are a plurality of spaces between the joints 7 as in this embodiment, the distance L3 between the adjacent joints 7 in the width direction Y is the average value of the distances between the plurality of joints 7. In addition, when there are a plurality of non-containing portions 52 as in this embodiment, the length L2 in the width direction Y of the non-containing portion 52 is the average value of the lengths in the width direction Y of the plurality of non-containing portions 52.
[0021] The ratio L2 / L4 of the length L2 in the width direction Y of the non-containing portion 52 to the width direction length L4 of the containing portion 51 is, from the viewpoint of the balance between the deodorizing effect and flexibility of the functional sheet 5, preferably 1.5 or more, more preferably 2.0 or more, even more preferably 2.5 or more, and preferably 35 or less, more preferably 20 or less, even more preferably 10 or less, and preferably 1.5 or more and 35 or less, more preferably 2.0 or more and 20 or less, even more preferably 2.5 or more and 10 or less.
[0022] From the viewpoint of the balance between the deodorizing effect and flexibility of the functional sheet 5, the widthwise length L4 of the containing portion 51 is preferably 10 mm or more, more preferably 20 mm or more, even more preferably 30 mm or more, and also preferably 100 mm or less, more preferably 80 mm or less, even more preferably 60 mm or less, and also preferably 10 mm or more and 100 mm or less, more preferably 20 mm or more and 80 mm or less, even more preferably 30 mm or more and 60 mm or less.
[0023] From the viewpoint of the balance between the deodorizing effect and flexibility of the functional sheet 5, the length L2 in the width direction Y of the non-containing portion 52 is preferably 3 mm or more, more preferably 5 mm or more, even more preferably 10 mm or more, and also preferably 50 mm or less, more preferably 40 mm or less, even more preferably 30 mm or less, and also preferably 3 mm or more and 50 mm or less, more preferably 5 mm or more and 40 mm or less, even more preferably 10 mm or more and 30 mm or less.
[0024] The joint 7 may or may not overlap the containing portion 51 in a plan view of the absorbent article 1. From the viewpoint of preventing the deterioration of the flexibility of the functional sheet 5 and the deterioration of the deodorizing performance of the functional sheet, the number of the joints 7 overlapping the containing portion 51 in a plan view is preferably 3 or less, more preferably 2 or less, and even more preferably 1 or less. The number of the joints 7 overlapping the containing portion 51 here is the number of the joints 7 overlapping each containing portion 51 when a plurality of containing portions 51 are present as in this embodiment. Of the plurality of containing portions 51, the number of the joints 7 overlapping the containing portion 51 within the above-mentioned range is preferably 50% or more, more preferably 75% or more, and even more preferably 90% or more. It is most preferable that the number of the joints 7 overlapping the containing portion 51 for all containing portions 51 is within the above-mentioned range.
[0025] In order to prevent a decrease in the flexibility of the functional sheet 5 and a decrease in the deodorizing performance of the functional sheet, the number of joints 7 that overlap with the containing portion 51 per unit length is preferably 1 or less, and more preferably 0.5 or less. The number of joints 7 that overlap with the contained portion 51 per unit length is measured as follows. First, the length L5 of the joints 7 in the longitudinal direction X is measured. The number of joints 7 that overlap with the contained portion 51 is defined as N1. Then, the number of joints 7 that overlap with the contained portion 51 per unit length is calculated by the following formula 1. The unit length is 10 mm. Number of overlapping joints with contained parts per unit length = [N1 (pieces) / L5 (mm)] × 10 mm (Formula 1) When multiple contained portions 51 are present as in this embodiment, the number of joints 7 that overlap with the contained portion 51 per unit length is calculated for each contained portion 51, and the average value is taken as the number of joints 7 that overlap with the contained portion 51 per unit length.
[0026] Furthermore, the joints 7 may or may not overlap the non-containing portions 52 in a planar view of the absorbent article 1. From the viewpoint of preventing a decrease in the flexibility of the functional sheet 5 and a decrease in the deodorizing performance of the functional sheet, the number of joints 7 overlapping with the non-containing portions 52 in a planar view is preferably one or less, and more preferably zero. In order to prevent a decrease in the flexibility of the functional sheet 5 and a decrease in the deodorizing performance of the functional sheet, the number of joints 7 that overlap with the non-containing portions 52 per unit length is preferably one or less, and more preferably zero. The number of bonding portions 7 that overlap with the non-containing portions 52 per unit length is measured as follows. First, the length L6 of the non-containing portions 52 in the longitudinal direction X is measured. Also, the number of bonding portions 7 that overlap with the non-containing portions 52 is defined as N2. Then, the number of bonding portions 7 that overlap with the non-containing portions 52 per unit length is calculated by the following formula 2. The unit length is 10 mm. Number of overlapping joints with non-containing parts per unit length = [N2 (pieces) / L6 (mm)] × 10 mm (Formula 2) When multiple non-containing portions 52 are present as in this embodiment, the number of joints 7 that overlap with the non-containing portions 52 per unit length is calculated for each non-containing portion 52, and the average value is taken as the number of joints 7 that overlap with the non-containing portions 52 per unit length.
[0027] In this embodiment, the absorbent body 4 has a low basis weight portion 41 having a basis weight lower than the surrounding area. In this embodiment, the low basis weight portion 41 is formed by making the basis weight of the absorbent core of the absorbent body 4 lower than the surrounding area. The low basis weight portion 41 may be a slit penetrating the absorbent core in the thickness direction. The low basis weight portion 41 may also be a non-stacking portion in which no constituent material of the absorbent core is present.
[0028] When the absorbent article 1 is viewed in plan, the low basis weight portion 41 may or may not overlap the non-containing portion 52 of the functional sheet 5. From the viewpoint of making the absorbent article 1 more easily compressed in the width direction Y and further improving the fit of the absorbent article 1, it is preferable that the low basis weight portion 41 overlaps the non-containing portion 52, and more preferably overlaps the boundary between the non-containing portion 52 and the containing portion 51. By overlapping the boundary between the non-containing portion 52 and the containing portion 51, the absorbent article 1 becomes more easily bent at the boundary between the non-containing portion 52 and the containing portion 51, so that the absorbent article 1 can be made more flexible. From the same viewpoint, it is further preferable that each of the non-containing portion 52 and the containing portion 51 extends in the longitudinal direction.
[0029] There is no restriction on the position where the low basis weight portion 41 is formed, but from the viewpoint of improving the fit in the center of the longitudinal direction X of the absorbent article 1, the low basis weight portion 41 is preferably disposed in the central region in the longitudinal direction X. Specifically, the low basis weight portion 41 is preferably present in five central regions when the absorbent article 1 is divided into seven equal parts in the longitudinal direction X, more preferably present in three central regions when the absorbent article 1 is divided into five equal parts in the longitudinal direction X, and even more preferably present in one central region when the absorbent article 1 is divided into three equal parts in the longitudinal direction X. The entire length of the low basis weight portion 41 may be located within the aforementioned region, or the low basis weight portion 41 may have a portion extending from the aforementioned region.
[0030] In addition, from the viewpoint of improving the fit in the center of the longitudinal direction X of the absorbent article 1, the low basis weight section 41 preferably has a portion extending in the longitudinal direction X in the central region of the longitudinal direction X of the absorbent article 1. Specifically, the portion extending in the longitudinal direction X of the low basis weight section 41 is preferably present in five central regions when the absorbent article 1 is divided into seven equal parts in the longitudinal direction X, more preferably present in three central regions when the absorbent article 1 is divided into five equal parts in the longitudinal direction X, and even more preferably present in one central region when the absorbent article 1 is divided into three equal parts in the longitudinal direction X. The entire length of the portion extending in the longitudinal direction X of the low basis weight section 41 may be located within the region, or the portion extending in the longitudinal direction X of the low basis weight section 41 may have a portion extending from the region.
[0031] In this embodiment, the containing portion 51 of the functional sheet 5 has a band-like shape extending linearly in the longitudinal direction X, but the planar shape and arrangement pattern of the containing portion 51 are not limited thereto. For example, as shown in FIG. 6(a), the containing portions 51 having a substantially circular shape may be arranged in a dot pattern. In the embodiment shown in FIG. 6(a), the longitudinally extending portion 51a is formed by a plurality of containing portions 51 arranged in the longitudinal direction. In addition, the containing portion 51 may extend in a curved shape in the longitudinal direction X as shown in FIG. 6(b). In addition, the containing portion 51 may extend in a lattice pattern as shown in FIG. 6(c). In the embodiment shown in FIG. 6(c), the non-containing portion 52 is formed discontinuously in the longitudinal direction.
[0032] Furthermore, the functional sheet 5 may have an end in the width direction Y folded back to the skin-facing surface side as shown in Fig. 7(a). In this embodiment, the intermediate sheet 6 is disposed between the topsheet 2 and the absorbent body 4, but instead, the functional sheet 5 may be disposed between the topsheet 2 and the absorbent body 4 as shown in Fig. 7(b).
[0033] As shown in Figs. 8(a) to 8(i), the absorbent body 4 may have a lower absorbent body 4a and an upper absorbent body 4b arranged on the skin-facing side of the lower absorbent body 4a. When the absorbent body 4 has a lower absorbent body 4a and an upper absorbent body 4b, a functional sheet 5 may be arranged between the lower absorbent body 4a and the back sheet 3 as shown in Figs. 8(a) and 8(b). As shown in Fig. 8(c), the end in the width direction Y of the functional sheet 5 arranged between the lower absorbent body 4a and the back sheet 3 may be rolled up to the skin-facing side of the lower absorbent body 4a. As shown in Figs. 8(d) and 8(e), the end in the width direction Y of the functional sheet 5 arranged between the lower absorbent body 4a and the back sheet 3 may be rolled up to the skin-facing side of the upper absorbent body 4b. In Fig. 8(e), another functional sheet 5 is arranged between the end in the width direction Y of the rolled-up functional sheet 5 and the upper absorbent body 4b. As shown in Fig. 8(f) and (g), a functional sheet 5 may be disposed between the lower absorbent body 4a and the upper absorbent body 4b. The form shown in Fig. 8(a) is preferable because the functional sheet 5 is less likely to become wet with urine or body fluids, and therefore the deodorizing performance is easily maintained, and the functional sheet 5 is disposed far from the body, so that the effect on flexibility is small. The form shown in Fig. 8(d) is preferable because the functional sheet 5 wraps the absorbent body (4a, 4b), and therefore the deodorizing power is easily maintained. 8(h) and (i), an intermediate sheet 6 may be disposed between the lower absorbent body 4a and the upper absorbent body 4b. This allows liquid discharged by the wearer of the absorbent article 1 to be efficiently diffused into the lower absorbent body 4a, making the functional sheet 5 even less likely to become wet, thereby improving the deodorizing performance of the absorbent article 1.
[0034] 5, the low basis weight portion 41 has a band-like shape extending linearly in the longitudinal direction X, but the planar shape of the low basis weight portion 41 is not limited to this. For example, as shown in FIGS. 9(a) and 9(b), the low basis weight portion 41 may have a portion extending along the longitudinal direction X and a portion inclined with respect to the longitudinal direction X. Furthermore, in this embodiment, the absorbent body 4 has a pair of low basis weight portions 41, but as shown in FIGS. 9(c) and (d), the absorbent body 4 may have only one low basis weight portion 41. Furthermore, in this embodiment, the low basis weight portion 41 overlaps with the boundary between the containing portion 51 and the non-containing portion 52 in a planar view. Alternatively, as shown in FIG. 9(e), the low basis weight portion 41 may overlap only with the non-containing portion 52.
[0035] Next, the constituent materials of the absorbent article 1 will be described. The topsheet 2 may be a liquid-permeable sheet, such as a nonwoven fabric or a perforated film. The topsheet 2 may have an uneven shape on its skin-facing side. For example, a plurality of scattered convex portions may be formed on the skin-facing side of the topsheet 2. Alternatively, ridges and grooves extending in one direction may be formed alternately on the skin-facing side of the topsheet 2. In order to form an uneven shape on the skin-facing side of the topsheet 2, the topsheet 2 may be formed using two or more sheets of nonwoven fabric.
[0036] For example, a liquid-impermeable film or a spunbond-meltblown-spunbond laminated nonwoven fabric can be used as the back sheet 3. A liquid-impermeable film may be provided with a plurality of micropores to impart water vapor permeability to the film. In order to further improve the feel of the absorbent article, a sheet with a good texture such as a nonwoven fabric may be laminated on the outer surface of the back sheet 3.
[0037] The absorbent core of the absorbent body 4 is composed of, for example, a pile of hydrophilic fibers such as cellulose including pulp, a mixed pile of the hydrophilic fibers and an absorbent polymer, or a pile of absorbent polymer. At least the skin-facing surface of the absorbent core may be covered with a liquid-permeable core wrap sheet, or the entire surface including the skin-facing surface and the non-skin-facing surface may be covered with the core wrap sheet. As the core wrap sheet, for example, tissue paper made of hydrophilic fibers or liquid-permeable nonwoven fabric can be used. The absorbent body 4 may be composed of only the absorbent core.
[0038] The absorbent core may be mainly composed of an absorbent sheet, which is a sheet-like absorbent body. The absorbent sheet is typically composed of a fiber sheet mainly composed of a fiber material such as wood pulp, and a water-absorbing material such as an absorbent polymer fixed inside or on the surface of the fiber sheet. The absorbent sheet may have a configuration in which particles of an absorbent polymer are interposed between two sheets facing each other. When the absorbent body 4 has a lower-layer absorbent body 4a and an upper-layer absorbent body 4b, it is preferable that at least one of the lower-layer absorbent body 4a and the upper-layer absorbent body 4b contains a water-absorbent material such as an absorbent polymer.
[0039] The material of the porous particles may be inorganic or organic. The average pore size of the porous particles is preferably 4.0 nm or more from the viewpoint of the molecular size of the odor to be adsorbed in the absorbent article. The shape of the porous particles may be any of a spherical shape, a rod shape or a needle shape having an aspect ratio, an irregular shape such as a crushed shape, and the like.
[0040] Examples of the porous particles include synthetic porous polymers such as porous methacrylic acid polymers, porous acrylic acid polymers, aromatic polymers such as porous divinylbenzene polymers, porous pyridine copolymers, and copolymers thereof; natural porous polymers such as chitin and chitosan; inorganic porous substances such as activated carbon, zinc oxide, aluminum oxide, silicon dioxide (silica gel), aluminosilicates, metal-supported aluminosilicates such as zinc, calcium silicate, hydrophobic zeolite (high silica zeolite), sepiolite, cancrinite, zeolite, and hydrated zirconium oxide; metal-supported porous materials such as silver-supported zeolite, silver-supported cancrinite, and vinylpyridine copolymers such as silver-supported porous styrene-divinylbenzene-vinylpyridine polymers and silver-supported porous divinylbenzene-vinylpyridine polymers. These porous particles can be used alone or in combination of two or more. Of these porous particles, it is preferable to use one or more types selected from the group consisting of cancrinite, zeolite, activated carbon, zinc oxide, aluminum oxide, and silicon dioxide (silica gel), as they are suitable for deodorizing odor-causing substances. The function of the functional sheet 5 is preferably deodorization, but may have a function other than deodorization. Examples of the function other than deodorization include a moisturizing agent, an anti-inflammatory agent, an antibacterial agent, a cooling sensation material, a warming sensation material, a moisture absorbent, etc.
[0041] The porous particles are preferably fixed to the sheet constituting the inclusion sheet 5a, either alone or together with a fixing composition. For example, a fiber raw material and porous particles may be mixed together to form a mixed paper. As the fiber raw material, known natural fibers such as wood pulp such as NBKP and LBKP, and non-wood pulp such as straw and cotton are used. In addition, rigid fibers such as polyethylene fibers may be used in combination to improve the sheet strength. As an example of a single method, a manufacturing method in which activated carbon alone is sprayed on one non-inclusion sheet, the other non-inclusion sheet is further stacked, water is sprayed, and then the sheet is dried is exemplified. The porous particles may be fixed to the functional sheet 5 by sandwiching a porous particle-containing sheet 5a between a pair of non-containing sheets 5b, or may be fixed to the functional sheet 5 by joining a porous particle-containing sheet 5a to one non-containing sheet 5b, or may be directly supported on one or two non-containing sheets 5b. When the porous particles are directly supported on one or two non-containing sheets 5b, a known hot melt adhesive may be used. In this case, the application pattern of the adhesive is not particularly limited, but it is preferable to avoid blocking the holes of the porous particles as much as possible, and for example, a bead shape, a spiral shape, an elongated surface shape, a wave shape, etc. are preferable.
[0042] The functional sheet 5 can be manufactured, for example, as follows. A sheet constituting the containing sheet 5a is made by wet papermaking or the like, and porous particles are applied to one or both sides of the sheet in a wet state. Thereafter, a non-containing sheet 5b made by wet papermaking or the like is superimposed on the surface on which the porous particles are sprayed to form a laminate, and the laminate is dried by a known drying method such as a Yankee dryer to manufacture the functional sheet 5. Also, instead of laminating the containing sheet 5a and the non-containing sheet 5b before drying to form a laminate, the containing sheet 5a and the non-containing sheet 5b can be dried separately and then superimposed to form a laminate to manufacture the functional sheet 5.
[0043] Although the present invention has been described based on the preferred embodiments, the scope of the present invention is not limited to the above embodiments. [Explanation of symbols]
