Abstract

To provide a printer, etc. that are able to restrict a decrease in printing efficiency and a decrease in printing accuracy even if an error occurs in print data during transmission.SOLUTION: A printer includes: a main control circuit; a sub-control circuit group including a plurality of sub-control circuits connected in series and configured to transfer printing data, transmitted by the main control circuit, from an upstream side to a downstream side; and a plurality of heads. The plurality of heads are driven by the plurality of corresponding sub-control circuits. The printing data includes a plurality of pixel data, The main control circuit generates, based on the printing data, first pixel group data to n-th pixel group data (n is a natural number of 2 or more) having pixel data not adjacent to each other, and transmits the first pixel group data and the n-th pixel data to the sub-control circuit group. Each sub-control circuit acquires, from the first pixel group data to the n-th pixel group data, pixel data associated with itself and drives the heads, based on the pixel data associated with itself.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
