[0024] 1 and 2, the dye-migration prevention film 10 for fabrics provided in the first preferred embodiment of the present invention has a layered structure, and includes a surface layer 20 and a barrier layer assembly 30 bonded to the surface layer 20. The barrier layer assembly 30 includes a carrier layer 31, a release layer 32, a first protective layer 34, a barrier layer 40, and a second protective layer 36. The thickness of the film 10 is very thin, and the figures in this specification only exemplify each layer. Note that dye migration (also called color transfer) refers to the flow of dye from a colored fabric to dye a light-colored or colorless fabric, and also refers to the transfer of color due to dye. The dye transfer includes the seepage of dye from the fabric into the film on the fabric.
[0025] In this preferred embodiment, the surface layer 20 and the barrier layer assembly 30 are prepared separately and then bonded together. Referring to FIG. 3, the method of preparing the barrier layer assembly 30 is as follows. First, a carrier layer 31 is prepared, and PET (Polyethylene Terephthalate, Polyethlene) or polyethylene (PE, Polyethylene) is preferably selected. Then, a liquid resin is applied to the release surface 33 of the carrier layer 31 to form a first protective layer 34. The scraper of the application device can precisely control and shape the thickness and flatness of the first protective layer 34. Preferably, the material of the first protective layer 34 is polyurethane (PU) or thermoplastic polyurethane elastomer (TPU). After the first protective layer 34 is molded and shaped, a sputtering or deposition device is used to coat a barrier layer 40 made of a metal material on the surface of the first protective layer 34, and preferably, the barrier layer 40 is selected from gold, silver, copper, or aluminum. Then, a second protective layer 36 is applied to the barrier layer 40 to protect the barrier layer 40, and the barrier layer 40 is located between the first and second protective layers 34, 36 and is protected by the two protective layers to prevent the two surfaces of the barrier layer from being damaged. The carrier layer 31 is located on one side of the barrier layer assembly 30, and the barrier layer 40 and the second protective layer 36 are located on the other side of the barrier layer assembly.
[0026] 4, the surface layer 20 is formed by applying a liquid resin to the release surface 26 of the release layer 25, the release layer 25 can be a release paper or a release film, the release surface 26 can be formed by applying a release agent, or can be formed according to the material properties of the release layer 25, that is, the material of the release layer 25 itself has a release property to form the release surface 26, and there is no need to apply a release agent. After the surface layer 20 is shaped, the surface layer 20 can be prepared and the surface layer can be removed from the release layer 25.
[0027] The film can be prepared by combining the surface layer 20 with the second protective layer 36 of the barrier layer assembly 30. Alternatively, the barrier layer assembly 30 does not include the second protective layer 36, and the surface layer 20 is directly attached onto the barrier layer 40 to prepare the film. When the film is to be attached to a fabric, the carrier layer 31 and the release layer 32 are peeled off to expose the first protective layer 34, and the film with the carrier layer and release layer removed is attached to the fabric, and the film is attached to the fabric on the side with the first protective film 34, so that the surface layer 20 is exposed on the fabric. The film 10 can be cut into a pattern and attached to the fabric to give the pattern. Due to the barrier layer 40 blocking, the dye molecules in the fabric cannot pass through the barrier layer 40, so that the surface layer 20 is not contaminated by the dye of the fabric.
[0028] In one manufacturing method, the first protective layer 34 can be an adhesive material (eg, a hot melt adhesive) such that the film 10 is attached to a fabric with a hot melt adhesive.
[0029] In one manufacturing method, the first protective layer 34 is non-adhesive, and an adhesive layer is provided on the protective layer 34, and the film 10 is attached to the fabric through the adhesive layer.
[0030] By adding phosphorescent material, reflective glass beads or pearl powder to the resin forming the surface layer 20, the film can become a phosphorescent film, a reflective film or a film with pearl luster that can block fabric dyes.
[0031] The surface of the surface layer 20 can be processed to be mirror or matte or have a pattern, so that the outer surface of the film can have a mirror or matte surface effect and various patterns.
[0032] Another method of manufacturing the film 10 is to provide a reflective layer on the surface 20, which is exposed to the film to form a reflective film on the film. The reflective elements of the reflective layer can be reflective glass beads or reflective prisms.
[0033] Referring to FIG. 3, in this embodiment, the carrier layer 31 of the film 10 may be biaxially oriented PET, which has very low stretching, excellent flatness and uniform thickness, and low elongation and deformation when subjected to force. A release layer 32 is provided on the surface of the carrier layer 31, and a release agent is applied to the surface layer of the carrier layer 31 to form a release surface 33 on the surface of the carrier layer 31. In practice, by adding a release agent to the carrier layer 31 made of PET material, one surface of the carrier layer 31 can be directly formed as a release surface without applying a release layer. The carrier layer 31 can also be selected from a material having a release property (e.g., high density polyethylene, polyethylene has a release effect) so that one surface of the carrier layer forms a release surface. Polyethylene can be prepared as a film with high stiffness, low ductility, and good flatness.
[0034] The first protective layer 34 is formed by applying a liquid resin onto the release surface 33 of the carrier layer 31, and the first protective layer 34 can be made of a resin that can generate adhesion or a non-adhesive resin, and the protective layer 34 can be made of selectable polyurethane (PU) as in the embodiment of Fig. 6, and can be made non-adhesive. The first protective layer 34 uses a hot melt adhesive made of thermoplastic polyurethane elastomer (TPU) material in the embodiment of Fig. 2, and can generate adhesion when heated.
[0035] The barrier layer 40 is coated on the surface of the first protective layer 34, and has no pores inside the barrier layer 40, and has the effect of blocking the passage of substances. In this preferred embodiment, the barrier layer is a layered metal medium, and is formed by coating a metal material (e.g., silver, aluminum, gold, copper) or its oxide on the surface layer 20 by a vacuum evaporation method in physical vapor deposition (PVD), or coating an inorganic material such as zinc sulfide, niobium pentoxide, silicon dioxide, titanium dioxide, etc. on the first protective layer 34 by magnetron sputtering ion plating, or vacuum sputtering a metal material such as silver ions, aluminum ions, gold ions, copper ions, etc. on the first protective layer by a vacuum sputtering or ion plating method. A specific manufacturing method of the barrier layer is as follows: a biaxially oriented PET film is used, a release agent is applied to the PET film, a PU film (the first protective layer) is applied to the release surface 33 of the PET film, and then the barrier layer 40 is coated on the PU film. In this embodiment, aluminum is used as the barrier layer. The second protective layer 36 is provided on one surface of the barrier layer 40, and in this embodiment, the second protective layer 36 is a film formed by applying a PU resin to the barrier layer 40, and is used to protect the barrier layer 40.
[0036] The inventor has found through experiments that if the barrier layer 40 is not formed through the carrier layer 31, but is directly coated on the PU film with metals such as gold, silver, copper, aluminum, etc., or inorganic materials such as zinc sulfide, niobium pentoxide, silicon dioxide, titanium dioxide, etc., the PU film has a certain elongation rate, so it is easy to deform and stress, and the PU film is prone to unevenness such as wavy and wrinkles, and the metal barrier layer coated on the PU film will have defects such as stress and deformation, causing gaps and breaks in the barrier layer 40 to form holes, and it will not be able to block the dye molecules of the fabric, so that the method of directly coating the metal barrier layer on the PU film is not practical. This preferred embodiment uses a PET film or PE film with low elongation and uniform thickness as the carrier for the metal barrier layer, and coats the carrier with a barrier layer with good formability, making the barrier layer uniform in thickness, without stress or deformation, and without gaps or cracks, and can effectively block the dye of the fabric from passing through the barrier layer. The present invention uses a PET film or PE film as a carrier, coats PU (first protective layer) on the carrier, and then coats the barrier layer, stabilizing the barrier layer through the stronger rigidity and low elongation (low elongation and deformation amount) of PET or PE, thereby coating a dense barrier layer without stress, deformation and damage, and achieving the purpose of blocking the dye molecules of the fabric from migrating to the surface layer. The thickness of the first and second protective layers 34, 36 is very thin, and the rigidity of the carrier layer 31 is greater than that of the first protective layer 34, and the elongation and stretchability are much lower than that of the first protective layer, so that the first protective layer 34 does not stretch or stretch, is flat and wrinkle-free, and the barrier layer does not suffer from stress, deformation or damage.
[0037] The thinner the thickness of the first protective layer 34, the less deformation of the barrier layer 40. In this preferred embodiment, the thickness of the first protective layer 34, the barrier layer 40 and the second protective layer 36 is 3 microns (μm) or less, between 0.3 and 3 microns, preferably 2 microns or less, more preferably 1 micron or less. The thickness of the barrier layer assembly 30 is 20 microns (μm) or less, preferably 16 microns or less, more preferably 14 microns or less.
[0038] The surface layer 20 is formed by applying a liquid resin onto the release layer 25, as shown in Fig. 4, and the material of the surface layer 20 can be selected from polyurethane (PU), thermoplastic polyurethane elastomer (TPU) or thermoplastic polyester elastomer (TPEE), and in this embodiment, the surface layer is polyurethane. The surface layer 20 has a first surface 22 and a second surface 24 located opposite each other, and the first surface 22 faces the release layer 25 and is bonded to the release surface 26.
[0039] The release surface 26 of the release layer 25 is processed to have a mirror surface (or a smooth surface, a glossy surface) or a matte surface or is provided with a textured pattern, so that the first surface 22 of the outer layer 20 has a mirror surface, a matte surface or a pattern, and the pattern is a mirror image of the release surface 26, so that the outer surface of the film 10 has a mirror or matte surface effect and various patterns.
[0040] After the surface layer 20 is created, a second surface 24 is created in the film 10 by bonding with a second protective layer 36 of the barrier layer assembly 30. The side with the surface layer 20 is the outside of the film 10, and in FIG. 2, the surface layer 20 is the outer surface of the film 10. Alternatively, the barrier layer assembly 30 does not include the second protective layer 36 of PU material, and the second surface 24 of the surface layer 20 of PU material is attached to the barrier layer 40. The barrier layer 40 is located between the first protective layer 34 and the surface layer 20.
[0041] The film 10 is used to be attached to a fabric, and referring to Fig. 5, before it is to be attached to a fabric, the carrier layer 31 and the release layer 32 are peeled off from the film 10, and after peeling, as shown in Fig. 6, the first protective layer 34 is not covered by the carrier layer 31 and is exposed, and the film 10a only retains the surface layer 20, the second protective layer 36, the barrier layer 40 and the first protective layer 34. Reference numeral 10a denotes the film from which the carrier layer and the release layer have been peeled off, the surface layer 20 is the outer surface of the film 10a, and the surface on the side where the protective layer 42 is present is the inner surface of the film 10a.
[0042] Next, as shown in Fig. 6, the inner surface of the film 10a is attached to the fabric 60. In the embodiment of Fig. 2, the first protective layer 34 is a TPU hot melt adhesive, and during attachment, as shown in Fig. 6, the protective layer 34 is brought into contact with the outer surface of the fabric 60, and then heat energy is applied to the film 10a by an iron or a heating device, so that the hot melt adhesive melts due to the heat and becomes sticky, and the film 10a is bonded to the fabric 60.
[0043] The film of FIG. 7 similarly comprises a surface layer 20 and a barrier layer assembly 30 bonded to the surface layer 20, the barrier layer assembly 30 including a carrier layer 31, a release layer 32, a first protective layer 34, a barrier layer 40, and a second protective layer 36, the first protective layer 34 being PU, and the film 10a of FIG. 7 has the carrier layer 31 and the release layer 32 removed. The film further comprises an adhesive layer 38 (e.g., gel or adhesive) on the surface of the first protective layer 34. When the film is to be applied, the carrier layer 31 and the release layer 32 are peeled off to expose the first protective layer 34, the adhesive layer 38 is bonded to the first protective layer 34, the inner surface of the film 10a is brought into contact with a fabric 60, and the adhesive layer 38 is used to apply the film 10a to the fabric 60.
[0044] After the film 10a is attached to the fabric 60, the barrier layer 40 is located between the surface layer 20 and the fabric 60. There are no pores in the barrier layer 40 made of the metal material of the present invention, and the barrier layer 40 has no stress, deformation, cracks or holes due to the manufacturing method and structure disclosed in the present invention. After the film 10a is attached to the fabric 60, as shown in Figures 6 and 7, the barrier layer 40 can block the dye molecules 62 of the fabric 60, preventing the dye molecules 62 from migrating to the surface layer 20, and the surface layer 20 is not mixed with the color of the fabric 60, so that the color of the surface layer 20 remains pure and is not contaminated by the dye molecules of the fabric.
[0045] In the practice of the present invention, a luminous material, reflective glass beads or pearl powder is added into the surface layer 20 to provide the surface layer 20 with the functions of luminous storage and reflection, or to have the color luster formed by the pearl powder, so that the film can not only block the dye of the fabric, but also become a luminous film, a reflective film or a film with pearl luster.
[0046] Figure 8 shows a third preferred embodiment of the film 10 of the present invention. The film can have the structure of Figure 2 or the structure of Figure 7, with the difference being that the film 10 further includes a reflective layer 50 attached to the first surface 22 of the outer layer 20. The reflective layer 50 is a layer made of resin, one surface of which is a reflective surface 52 provided with a plurality of reflective glass beads 54. The reflective surface 52 faces outward and is exposed to the film 10a.
[0047] 9, after peeling off the carrier layer 31 and the release layer 32 of the film 10, the inner surface of the film 10a is attached to the fabric 60, and the film 10a is attached to the fabric 60 via the first protective layer 34 made of TPU material as shown in FIG. 5, or via the adhesive layer 38 as shown in FIG. 6, so that the reflective surface 52 of the reflective layer 50 is exposed to the fabric 60, which improves safety. The barrier layer 40 can block the dye molecules 62 on the fabric.
[0048] Referring to Fig. 10, the film 10 (10a) can be cut into various graphics 70, including non-text graphics and text graphics (e.g., LOVE in English), manually or by computer equipment. In Fig. 10, the side of the graphics 70 with the surface layer 20 is the outside of the film, and the side with the first protective layer 34 is the inside of the film. After cutting, the graphics 70 are attached to a fabric on the inside of the film, so that the graphics are present on the surface of the fabric, and the barrier layer 40 is located between the surface layer 20 and the fabric.
[0049] The present invention provides a metal medium or inorganic barrier layer 40 on the film attached to the fabric to block the dye molecules, thereby preventing the fabric dye molecules from seeping into the surface layer 20 of the film, allowing the surface layer 20 to maintain its own color and preventing the color of the fabric dye from affecting its luster. According to the inventor's experiments, after the film was attached to the fabric, even after it was subjected to harsh conditions of 168 hours at a high temperature of 90°C, the surface layer of the film maintained its own color, and the fabric dye molecules were reliably blocked by the barrier layer 40 in the film and could not pass through the barrier layer.
[0050] The above embodiments are merely illustrative of the features of the present invention, and are not intended to limit the present invention. Any equivalent modifications of the present invention are considered to be within the scope of protection of the present invention. [Explanation of symbols]
