Abstract

To provide a control method for a piezoelectric motor capable of attaining reduction of power consumption, and a piezoelectric motor.SOLUTION: A control method for a piezoelectric motor comprising a piezoelectric vibrator including a piezoelectric element and being vibrated due to elongation and contraction of the piezoelectric element and a drive circuit including an inductor forming an LC circuit together with the piezoelectric element includes changing a resonant frequency of the LC circuit by applying a DC bias voltage to the piezoelectric element so as to reduce the difference between the resonant frequency of the LC circuit and a drive frequency, which is a frequency of an AC drive voltage, while driving the piezoelectric vibrator by applying the drive voltage to the piezoelectric element.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
