Abstract
Description
[Technical field]
[0001] The present invention relates to a method and system for providing information regarding the segments that make up a golf swing. [Background technology]
[0002] As leisure time has increased in recent years, the number of people enjoying golf has increased, and various golf-related industries have grown.
[0003] Since golf is a sport in which a user (e.g., a golfer) uses a golf club to swing the golf ball to a target position, analyzing the golf swing and providing appropriate feedback based on the golf swing can be helpful in improving golf skills.
[0004] One example of a conventional method for analyzing a golf swing is to capture an image of a swing posture of a user making a golf swing using a camera, and to analyze the captured image.
[0005] However, there are two major problems with this method. First, in the analysis of a golf swing, information (e.g., the length of the backswing section or the length of the downswing section) on the time section occupied by the partial movements that make up the golf swing (hereinafter referred to as "sections that make up the golf swing") is important, but no specific analysis of the sections that make up the golf swing was performed. Second, since no appropriate feedback was provided to the user regarding the results of the analysis of the sections that make up the golf swing, this method was not very useful for improving the user's golfing ability.
[0006] Therefore, the inventors propose a technique for analyzing two or more images of a golf swing to generate information regarding the sections that make up a golf swing, thereby enabling a specific analysis of the sections that make up a golf swing, and a technique for providing a user with appropriate feedback regarding the golf swing by comparing information regarding at least one section that makes up a golf swing with reference information. [0007] [Patent Document 1] Published Patent Publication No. 10-2023-0001294 (January 4, 2023) Summary of the Invention [Problem to be solved by the invention]
[0008] An object of the present invention is to solve all of the problems of the prior art described above.
[0009] Another object of the present invention is to obtain two or more images of a golf swing and generate information about at least one section constituting a golf swing by referring to a comparison result of the two or more images.
[0010] It is yet another object of the present invention to enable accurate analysis of sections constituting a golf swing by comparing two or more images related to the golf swing and determining sections constituting a golf swing corresponding to a particular image by referring to the comparison results.
[0011] It is yet another object of the present invention to enable precise division of sections constituting a golf swing even when a frame rate of a sensor (eg, a camera) is low. [Means for solving the problem]
[0012] A representative configuration of the present invention for achieving the above object is as follows.
[0013] According to one aspect of the present invention, there is provided a method including the steps of acquiring two or more images of a golf swing, and generating information regarding at least one section constituting the golf swing by referring to a comparison result of the two or more images.
[0014] According to another aspect of the present invention, there is provided a system including an image acquisition unit that acquires two or more images related to a golf swing, and a section information generation unit that generates information regarding at least one section constituting the golf swing by referring to a comparison result of the two or more images.
[0015] In addition, other methods for embodying the present invention, other systems, and a non-transitory computer readable recording medium having a computer program for carrying out the methods are also provided. Effect of the Invention
[0016] According to the present invention, two or more images of a golf swing are obtained, and information regarding at least one section constituting a golf swing is generated by referring to a comparison result of the two or more images.
[0017] In addition, according to the present invention, two or more images related to a golf swing are compared, and a section constituting a golf swing corresponding to a particular image is determined by referring to the comparison result, so that an accurate analysis of the section constituting a golf swing can be performed.
[0018] Furthermore, according to the present invention, even if the frame rate of a sensor (eg, a camera) is low, the sections constituting a golf swing can be precisely divided. [Brief description of the drawings]

Meanwhile, the characteristics of such an application may be generally similar to the image acquiring unit 210, the section information generating unit 220, the section information acquiring unit 230, the feedback information generating unit 240, the information providing unit 250, the communication unit 260, and the control unit 270 of the information providing system 200, which will be described later. Here, at least a part of the application may be replaced with a hardware device or a firmware device that can perform substantially the same or equivalent functions, if necessary.
[0032] Information provision system configuration
[0033] Hereinafter, the internal configuration of the information providing system 200 and the functions of each component thereof, which perform important functions for implementing the present invention, will be described in detail.
[0034] FIG. 2 is a diagram illustrating in detail the internal configuration of an information providing system 200 according to an embodiment of the present invention.
[0035] As shown in FIG. 2, the information providing system 200 according to an embodiment of the present invention may include an image acquiring unit 210, a section information generating unit 220, a section information acquiring unit 230, a feedback information generating unit 240, an information providing unit 250, a communication unit 260, and a control unit 270. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the image acquiring unit 210, the section information generating unit 220, the section information acquiring unit 230, the feedback information generating unit 240, the information providing unit 250, the communication unit 260, and the control unit 270 may be program modules, at least some of which communicate with an external system (not shown). Such program modules may be included in the information providing system 200 in the form of an operating system, an application program module, or other program modules, and may be physically stored in various known storage devices. Also, such program modules may be stored in a remote storage device that can communicate with the information providing system 200. Meanwhile, such program modules include, but are not limited to, routines, subroutines, programs, objects, components, data structures, etc. that perform specific tasks or execute specific abstract data types according to the present invention, which will be described later.
[0036] In this specification, a golf swing may refer to a swing motion for sending a golf ball to a target point. Here, a golf swing may be divided into eight steps of motion, including address, take away, back swing, top of swing, down swing, impact, follow through, and finish. However, the eight steps of divided motions are merely examples, and it is obvious to those skilled in the art that a golf swing motion may be divided in various ways.
[0037] FIG. 3 is a diagram illustrating an example of a section constituting a golf swing according to an embodiment of the present invention.
[0038] For example, referring to section example 1 of Fig. 3, the golf swing according to the embodiment of the present invention may be divided into 10 sections, namely, address, takeaway, takeback, backswing, top, transition, downswing, impact, follow-through, and finish. Referring to section example 2 of Fig. 3, the golf swing according to the embodiment of the present invention may be divided into 7 sections, namely, address, takeback, backswing, top, downswing, follow-through, and finish. Referring to section example 3 of Fig. 3, the golf swing according to the embodiment of the present invention may be divided into 3 sections, namely, backswing, top (Pause section), and downswing.
[0039] Meanwhile, although the information providing system 200 has been described above, such description is merely illustrative, and it will be apparent to those skilled in the art that at least some of the components or functions of the information providing system 200 may be implemented within the device 300 or a server (not shown) or included in an external system (not shown) as necessary.
[0040] First, the image acquiring unit 210 according to an embodiment of the present invention can perform a function of acquiring two or more images related to a golf swing.
[0041] Specifically, the two or more images related to the golf swing according to an embodiment of the present invention may be acquired from a sensor (e.g., an image sensor such as a camera). For example, the image acquiring unit 210 according to an embodiment of the present invention may acquire a plurality of frame images included in a video of a user's golf swing from the sensor as the two or more images related to the golf swing.
[0042] For example, the two or more images according to an embodiment of the present invention may include a first image and a second image that are acquired consecutively. For example, if the first image according to an embodiment of the present invention is the 90th frame in a user's golf swing video, the second image according to an embodiment of the present invention may mean the 89th or 91st frame in the user's golf swing video. However, according to the present invention, it is obvious to those skilled in the art that the two or more images acquired by the image acquisition unit 210 according to an embodiment of the present invention do not necessarily have to be images acquired consecutively, and may be images that are separated by a predetermined interval in time (e.g., non-consecutive) (e.g., the first image is the 50th frame image and the second image is the 90th frame image).
[0043] In addition, the image acquisition unit 210 according to an embodiment of the present invention may acquire two or more images related to a golf swing from at least one sensor. For example, the at least one sensor according to an embodiment of the present invention may include various sensors such as a ground pressure sensor and an image sensor.
[0044] In addition, the images that the image acquiring unit 210 according to an embodiment of the present invention can acquire may include at least one of a 2D image and a 3D image. For example, according to an embodiment of the present invention, the image acquiring unit 210 may acquire a 2D image from one image sensor (e.g., a camera) and may acquire two or more 3D images by generating a 3D image using two or more 2D images acquired from two or more image sensors.
[0045] Next, the section information generating unit 220 according to an embodiment of the present invention may perform a function of generating information about at least one section constituting a golf swing by referring to a comparison result of two or more images.
[0046] Specifically, the section information generating unit 220 according to an embodiment of the present invention can compare two or more images.
[0047] FIG. 4 is a diagram illustrating an example of a process of comparing images related to a golf swing according to an embodiment of the present invention.
[0048] For example, referring to FIG. 4, the section information generating unit 220 according to an embodiment of the present invention may compare a first image 410 with a second image 420, and more specifically, may compare a first joint information 411 of the first image 410 with a second joint information 421 of the second image 420. Here, the joint information according to an embodiment of the present invention (i.e., the first joint information, the second joint information) may be extracted from an image (i.e., the first image, the second image, etc.) by a joint information estimation model trained using an artificial neural network. In addition, the joint information according to an embodiment of the present invention may include information on a line segment formed by extracting positions of the user's joints in an image and connecting the extracted joints at different positions.
[0049] As another example, referring to Fig. 4, the section information generating unit 220 according to an embodiment of the present invention may compare the first shaft information of the first image 410 with the second shaft information of the second image 420. Specifically, referring to Fig. 4, the section information generating unit 220 according to an embodiment of the present invention may compare the first tilt information included in the first shaft information with the second tilt information included in the second shaft information.
[0050] However, the method of comparing two or more images according to an embodiment of the present invention does not necessarily have to be performed in a manner of comparing joint information or shaft information, and may be variously modified within the scope of the present invention. For example, the method of comparing two or more images according to an embodiment of the present invention may be performed in a manner of comparing pixel values of two or more images, or comparing specific values derived by filtering two or more images according to a preset condition.
[0051] 3, the sections constituting the golf swing according to an embodiment of the present invention may be divided into various categories, but in order to calculate the rhythm of the golf swing (e.g., the ratio between the length of the first section related to the backswing and the length of the second section related to the downswing), it may be necessary to accurately analyze information on the first section related to the backswing and information on the second section related to the downswing. Therefore, at least one section constituting the golf swing according to an embodiment of the present invention may include a first section related to the backswing and a second section related to the downswing, and the information on at least one section generated by the section information generating unit 220 according to an embodiment of the present invention may include information on the ratio between the first section and the second section.
[0052] Furthermore, the section information generating unit 220 according to an embodiment of the present invention may generate information regarding at least one section constituting a golf swing.
[0053] For example, the information about at least one section generated by the section information generating unit 220 according to one embodiment of the present invention may include at least one of information about the length of at least one section constituting a golf swing and section ratio information about the ratio between two or more sections constituting a golf swing.
[0054] As a specific example, the information regarding at least one section generated by the section information generation unit 220 in one embodiment of the present invention may include at least one of first section information regarding the length of the first section, second section information regarding the length of the second section, and section ratio information regarding the ratio between the first section and the second section.
[0055] To continue, the section information generation unit 220 according to one embodiment of the present invention can generate information regarding at least one section by determining whether or not a section corresponding to the first image is identical to a section corresponding to the second image by referring to a comparison result between the first image and the second image.
[0056] For example, referring to FIG. 4, when the second image 420 corresponds to a section related to the top of the swing (hereinafter referred to as the top section), the section information generating unit 220 according to one embodiment of the present invention determines the similarity between the first joint information 421 extracted from the first image 410 and the second joint information 421 extracted from the second image 420, and when the similarity between the first joint information 411 and the second joint information 421 is higher than a preset similarity (for example, when the similarity between the swing posture in the first image 410 and the swing posture in the second image 420 is high), it can determine that the section corresponding to the first image 410 and the section corresponding to the second image 420 are the same (i.e., it can determine that both the first image 410 and the second image 420 correspond to the top section). Here, if the similarity between the first joint information 411 and the second joint information 421 is lower than a preset similarity (for example, if the similarity between the swing posture in the first image 410 and the swing posture in the second image 420 is low), it can be determined that the section corresponding to the first image 410 and the section corresponding to the second image 420 are not the same (i.e., it can be determined that the second image 420 corresponds to the top section, while the first image corresponds to the previous section, the backswing section).
[0057] Also, at least one of the first image and the second image according to an embodiment of the present invention may be a reference image determined according to a preset condition for dividing a swing section.
[0058] For example, the reference image determined according to a preset condition for dividing a swing section according to an embodiment of the present invention may refer to an image in which the degree of change in posture during a user's golf swing is below a predetermined standard (e.g., an image corresponding to a time point at which the user is determined to have stopped during a golf swing). Here, the reference image according to an embodiment of the present invention may refer to an image corresponding to a time point at which the user is determined to have stopped instantaneously in a top section of a golf swing section (e.g., a time point at which the degree of change in posture is below a predetermined standard).
[0059] Therefore, the section information generating unit 220 according to one embodiment of the present invention can generate information regarding at least one section by identifying a reference image, which is determined according to a preset condition, from two or more images related to a golf swing (e.g., a plurality of image frames included in a swing video), and comparing the reference image with other images to determine whether or not a section corresponding to the reference image (e.g., a top section) is identical to a section corresponding to another image (e.g., a backswing section, a top section, or a downswing section).
[0060] As a specific example, the section information generating unit 220 according to one embodiment of the present invention may acquire a plurality of image frames related to a golf swing, identify a frame among the plurality of image frames in which the user's change is below a predetermined standard among consecutive frames (e.g., a frame in which the joint movement is below a predetermined standard or the shaft angle change is below a predetermined standard when comparing joint information extracted from the image) as a reference image, compare other images acquired before or after the reference image with the reference image, and determine whether the section corresponding to the reference image is identical to the section corresponding to the other images, thereby generating information regarding at least one section.
[0061] In another specific example with reference to FIG. 4, when the section information generating unit 220 according to an embodiment of the present invention specifies the third image 430 as a reference image (e.g., an image corresponding to the top section), the section information generating unit 220 may compare the third image 430 with the second image 420 to determine whether the second image 420 is an image corresponding to the top section. Here, according to an embodiment of the present invention, since the similarity between the second image 420 and the third image 430 is equal to or greater than a preset similarity, it may be determined that the second image 420 is an image corresponding to the top section. Then, the section information generating unit 220 according to an embodiment of the present invention may compare the second image 420 with the first image 410 to determine whether the section corresponding to the first image 410 and the section corresponding to the second image 420 are the same section. Here, if it is determined that the section corresponding to the second image 420 is not the same as the section corresponding to the first image 410, the section information generating unit 220 according to one embodiment of the present invention determines that the second image 420 and the third image 430 are images corresponding to the same section (e.g., the top section) and the first image 410 is an image corresponding to the backswing section, thereby generating information regarding at least one section.
[0062] Therefore, according to the present invention, by sequentially analyzing adjacent images (e.g., by comparing the first image 410 with the second image 420, comparing the second image 420 with the third image 430, and comparing the third image 430 with a fourth image (not shown)), it is possible to determine which of the sections of the golf swing two or more images related to the golf swing correspond to.
[0063] Meanwhile, it is obvious to those skilled in the art that the reference image according to an embodiment of the present invention does not necessarily have to be an image corresponding to the top section, and may be an image corresponding to the address section or the impact time. For example, the section information generating unit 220 according to an embodiment of the present invention may extract position information of the golf ball from the image, identify an image corresponding to a time when the position of the golf ball starts to change (e.g., the impact time) in two or more images as a reference image determined according to a preset condition, and compare two or more images using the reference image.
[0064] Since the frame rate (e.g., 30 frames per second) of an image sensor (e.g., a camera) is finite, even if two or more images are captured consecutively, there may be a time gap between the consecutively captured images. However, for precise analysis of the sections that make up a golf swing, it is important to accurately calculate the length of a specific section of the golf swing, and therefore it may be necessary to determine the start and end points of the specific section of the golf swing.
[0065] Therefore, the interval information generation unit 220 of one embodiment of the present invention can determine the point at which the interval corresponding to the first image and the interval corresponding to the second image are separated in response to determining that the interval corresponding to the first image and the interval corresponding to the second image are not identical.
[0066] For example, referring to Fig. 4, it may be assumed that the section information generating unit 220 according to an embodiment of the present invention determines that the section corresponding to the first image 410 is a backswing section, and the sections corresponding to the second image 420 and the third image 430 are a top section. Here, according to an embodiment of the present invention, the section information generating unit 220 determines the time at which two different sections related to golf swings (i.e., the backswing section and the top section) are separated as a time corresponding to the midpoint between the time corresponding to the first image 410 and the time corresponding to the second image (e.g., t = 3.15 [sec]) by referring to the time information corresponding to the first image 410 (e.g., t = 3.00 [sec]) and the time information corresponding to the second image 420 (e.g., t = 3.03 [sec]), and determines the time corresponding to the end point of the backswing section (i.e., the start time of the top section) (e.g., t = 3.15 [sec]).
[0067] Meanwhile, according to one embodiment of the present invention, as described above, the midpoint between the time corresponding to the first image and the time corresponding to the second image can be determined as the time at which two different sections are divided; however, in order to generate more accurate information regarding the sections that make up a golf swing, it may be necessary to more precisely determine the time at which the section corresponding to the first image and the section corresponding to the second image are divided based on the similarity between the first image and the second image.
[0068] Therefore, the section information generation unit 220 according to one embodiment of the present invention can determine weight information for the second image based on the similarity between the first image and the second image, and can determine the length of time corresponding to the second image to be incorporated into the section corresponding to the first image by referring to the weight information.
[0069] For example, referring to Fig. 4, when the first image 410 corresponds to the backswing section and the second image 420 corresponds to the top section, the section information generating unit 220 according to an embodiment of the present invention may calculate the similarity between the first image 410 and the second image 420. Here, if the similarity between the first image 410 and the second image 420 according to an embodiment of the present invention is high, the time at which the section corresponding to the first image 410 and the section corresponding to the second image 420 are separated may be determined to be the time closer to the time corresponding to the first image 410 among the time corresponding to the first image 410 (t = 3.00 [sec]) and the time corresponding to the second image 420 (t = 3.03 [sec]).
[0070] In other words, according to one embodiment of the present invention, even if the golf swing sections to which the first image and the second image correspond are different, if the similarity between the first image and the second image is high, the time point corresponding to the first image can be seen as being close to the start time of the section corresponding to the second image, and therefore, the time point closer to the time point corresponding to the first image among the time point corresponding to the first image and the time point at which the second image is acquired can be determined to be the time point at which the section corresponding to the first image and the section corresponding to the second image are separated.
[0071] As another example, referring to FIG. 4, when a first image 410 belongs to a section related to a backswing and a second image 420 belongs to a section related to a top, the section information generating unit 220 according to one embodiment of the present invention can calculate a similarity between the first image 410 and the second image 420 and determine weighted value information for the first image 410 based on the similarity.
[0072] As a specific example with reference to FIG. 4, the section information generation unit 220 according to one embodiment of the present invention may determine, based on the similarity between the first image 410 and the second image 420, information on a weighting value for the first image 410 to be applied to the first image 410 corresponding to the corresponding similarity (for example, if the similarity is high, the weighting value may be 2, and if the similarity is low, the weighting value may be 0.5).
[0073] 4, according to an embodiment of the present invention, when the similarity between the first image 410 and the second image 420 is high (e.g., the similarity satisfies a preset condition), the section information generating unit 220 may determine weight information (e.g., weight information of 2) for the first image 410 and determine the length of time (e.g., 0.01 [sec]) to be incorporated into the section corresponding to the second image 420 from the time corresponding to the first image 410 by referring to the weight information. In other words, since the weight value for the first image 410 is 2, the time point corresponding to the first image 410 is reflected twice as much as the time point corresponding to the second image 420, so that the time point (e.g., t=3.01 [sec]) that divides the time point 410 corresponding to the first image 410 (e.g., t=3.00 [sec]) and the time point 420 corresponding to the second image 420 (e.g., t=3.03 [sec]) in a 1:2 ratio may be determined as the time point at which the two sections are divided.
[0074] On the other hand, referring to FIG. 4, as another example, the section information generation unit 220 according to one embodiment of the present invention may determine weight information (e.g., weight information of 0.5) for the first image 410 when the similarity between the first image 410 and the second image 420 is low (e.g., the similarity does not satisfy a preset condition), and may determine the length of time (e.g., 0.02 [sec]) to be incorporated into the section corresponding to the second image 420 from the time corresponding to the first image 410 by referring to the weight information. In other words, since the weighting value for the first image 410 is 0.5, the time point corresponding to the first image 410 is reflected 0.5 times more than the time point corresponding to the second image 420, so that the time point (e.g., t = 3.02 [sec]) that divides the time point 410 corresponding to the first image 410 (e.g., t = 3.00 [sec]) and the time point 420 corresponding to the second image 420 (e.g., t = 3.03 [sec]) by 0.5:1 (i.e., 2:1) can be determined as the time point at which the two sections are separated.
[0075] However, it is obvious to those skilled in the art that the weight information according to an embodiment of the present invention does not necessarily have to be a preset constant value, and may be determined in real time by an artificial neural network model. Also, the similarity according to an embodiment of the present invention may be calculated by comparing the similarity between the first joint information 411 and the second joint information 421 using a similarity estimation model trained using an artificial neural network, but does not necessarily have to be calculated by the joint information, and may be calculated by comparing other information related to the swing posture (e.g., information related to the shaft angle, the displacement of the golf club head, etc.).
[0076] Therefore, according to one embodiment of the present invention, when the weighting value is a specific constant value, the division point of the section can be determined to be closer (or farther) than the point corresponding to the first image by applying the weighting value to the first image by the corresponding constant value.
[0077] In addition, according to the present invention, by determining weight information, when the similarity between the first image and the second image is high, the length of the time corresponding to the second image that is incorporated into the section corresponding to the first image is lengthened, and when the similarity between the first image and the second image is low, the length of the time corresponding to the second image that is incorporated into the section corresponding to the first image is shortened, thereby making it possible to more accurately determine the point in time at which two or more sections are divided.
[0078] Hereinafter, the content of generating information about at least one section constituting a golf swing according to an embodiment of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to FIG. 3 and FIG.
[0079] First Example
[0080] According to one embodiment of the present invention, the section information generating unit 220 may determine at least one image determined to be a backswing section among two or more images as a reference image (for example, among images corresponding to before the impact point, an image determined to be an image in which the golf club rises over time may be determined to be the reference image).
[0081] Next, the section information generating unit 220 may refer to the comparison result between the reference image and another image acquired immediately before the reference image to determine whether or not the section corresponding to the reference image is the same as the section corresponding to the other image acquired before the reference image is acquired. If the sections corresponding to the two images are the same, the section information generating unit 220 may determine whether or not the sections are the same by comparing the other image acquired before the reference image with the other image acquired before the reference image is acquired. That is, if it is determined that the user has stopped at the second image as a result of comparing the first image with the second image and analyzing the second image, the section information generating unit 220 may determine that the second image corresponds to the address section and the first image corresponds to the backswing section.
[0082] Next, the section information generating unit 220 may determine the time when the section corresponding to the first image (e.g., a section related to the backswing) and the section corresponding to the second image (e.g., an address section) are determined not to be the same, and may determine the time when the two sections are separated (i.e., the time when the address section ends and the time when the backswing section starts). Here, the section information generating unit 220 may determine weight information related to the second image based on the similarity between the first image and the second image, and may determine the time when the address section ends (in other words, the time when the backswing section starts) by referring to the weight information.
[0083] Second Example
[0084] According to one embodiment of the present invention, the section information generating unit 220 may determine at least one image determined to be a top section among two or more images as a reference image (for example, among images acquired before the impact point, an image in which the golf club head is at a predetermined distance or more from the ground and the degree of change in the user's posture is below a predetermined standard may be determined as the reference image).
[0085] Then, the section information generating unit 220 may determine the start point of the top section by sequentially comparing the reference image with an image acquired before the reference image, or, conversely, the section information generating unit 220 may determine the end point of the top section by sequentially comparing the reference image with an image acquired after the reference image.
[0086] Third Example
[0087] According to one embodiment of the present invention, the section information generating unit 220 may determine at least one image determined to be a downswing section among two or more images as a reference image (e.g., among images acquired before the impact point, an image determined to be an image where the golf club head approaches the ground may be determined as a reference image).
[0088] Then, the section information generating unit 220 may determine the end point of the top section by sequentially comparing the reference image with images acquired before the reference image. Conversely, the section information generating unit 220 may determine the end point of the downswing section by sequentially comparing the reference image with images acquired after the reference image. Here, the section information generating unit 220 may determine the end point of the downswing section by acquiring position information of the golf ball and identifying the impact time by referring to the change in the position of the ball, instead of determining the end point of the downswing section based on the similarity of two or more images.
[0089] Fourth Example
[0090] According to one embodiment of the present invention, the section information generating unit 220 can determine at least one of the start point of the backswing section, the end point of the backswing section (i.e., the start point of the top section), the end point of the top section (i.e., the start point of the downswing section), and the end point of the downswing section (i.e., the impact point) according to the various embodiments described above, and generate information regarding at least one of the length of the backswing section (i.e., the length from the start point of the backswing section to the end point of the backswing section), the length of the top section (i.e., the length from the start point of the top section to the end point of the top section), and the length of the downswing section (i.e., the length from the start point of the downswing section to the end point of the downswing section).
[0091] Also, according to an embodiment of the present invention, the section information generating unit 220 may generate information regarding a ratio of the length of the backswing section to the length of the downswing section as information regarding at least one section.
[0092] The following provides a more specific description of a method for providing feedback regarding a golf swing.
[0093] Next, the section information acquiring unit 230 according to an embodiment of the present invention may perform a function of acquiring information about at least one section constituting a golf swing.
[0094] Specifically, as described above, the at least one section constituting a golf swing can include a first section related to a backswing and a second section related to a downswing. Here, the information on the at least one section can include at least one of first section information related to a length of the first section, second section information related to a length of the second section, and section ratio information related to a ratio between the first section and the second section.
[0095] Also, the section information acquiring unit 230 according to an embodiment of the present invention may acquire information on at least one section constituting a golf swing from the above-mentioned section information generating unit 220. However, the section information acquiring unit 230 according to an embodiment of the present invention may acquire information on at least one section constituting a golf swing from an internal or external system (not shown) of the information providing system 200.
[0096] For example, when the information providing system 200 according to one embodiment of the present invention is linked to a virtual golf simulator system (not shown), the section information acquisition unit 230 according to one embodiment of the present invention may acquire at least one of first section information regarding the length of the first section, second section information regarding the length of the second section, and section ratio information regarding the ratio between the first section and the second section from the virtual golf simulator system.
[0097] As another example, the section information generating unit 220 according to an embodiment of the present invention may obtain information regarding at least one section constituting a golf swing from the device 300. Here, the device 300 may include, but is not limited to, a mobile device including an image sensor.
[0098] Next, the feedback information generating unit 240 according to an embodiment of the present invention may perform a function of generating feedback information regarding the golf swing by referring to a comparison result between preset reference information and information regarding at least one section.
[0099] Specifically, the pre-set reference information in one embodiment of the present invention may include at least one of first reference section information corresponding to the first section information, second reference section information corresponding to the second section information, and reference section ratio information corresponding to the section ratio information.
[0100] For example, the preset reference information according to one embodiment of the present invention may include at least one of first reference section information (e.g., information regarding the length of a backswing section of a professional golfer) corresponding to a preferred golf swing posture, second reference section information (e.g., information regarding the length of a downswing section of a professional golfer), and reference section ratio information (e.g., information regarding the length of a backswing section and the length of a downswing section of a professional golfer).
[0101] As a specific example, the preset reference information in one embodiment of the present invention may include at least one of first reference section information (e.g., information that the length of the backswing section is preferably 1.2 seconds), second reference section information (e.g., information that the length of the downswing section is preferably 0.4 seconds), and section ratio information (e.g., information that the ratio of the length of the backswing section to the length of the downswing section is preferably 3:1).
[0102] As another example, the preset reference information according to an embodiment of the present invention may include at least one standard reference information.
[0103] As a specific example, when the first reference section information according to one embodiment of the present invention includes information that the length of the first section is preferably 0.9 seconds, the standard reference information included in the first reference section information according to one embodiment of the present invention may include at least one of the following information: information that when the length of the first section is 0.8 seconds or more and less than 1 second, it is a preferable swing; information that when the length of the first section is 0.6 seconds or more and less than 0.8 seconds, it is an unpreferred swing because the length of the first section is slightly short; information that when the length of the first section is 1 second or more and less than 1.2 seconds, it is an unpreferred swing because the length of the first section is slightly long; information that when the length of the first section is less than 0.6 seconds, it is an unpreferred swing because the length of the first section is very short; and information that when the length of the first section is 1.2 seconds or more, it is an unpreferred swing because the length of the first section is very long.
[0104] Therefore, since the reference information according to the present invention includes reference reference information, at least one of the length and ratio of an interval can correspond to subdivided reference reference information (e.g., the reference information can include two or more reference reference information), and various feedback information can be generated by comparing the subdivided reference reference information with information regarding at least one interval.
[0105] To continue, the feedback information generator 240 according to an embodiment of the present invention may compare the reference information with information regarding at least one section.
[0106] For example, when the section information acquisition unit 230 according to an embodiment of the present invention acquires section ratio information (e.g., information that the ratio of the length of the first section to the length of the second section is 4.8:1) in the golf swing of the user, the feedback information generation unit 240 can compare the section ratio information with preset reference information (e.g., information that the ratio of the length of the first section to the length of the second section of a professional golfer is 4:1). Here, the feedback information generation unit 240 according to an embodiment of the present invention can generate information suggesting to make the backswing a little faster (i.e., shorten the length of the backswing section) as feedback information, thereby guiding the section ratio information of the user to approach the reference section ratio information.
[0107] Furthermore, the feedback information generator 240 according to an embodiment of the present invention may compare information about at least one section with at least one reference reference information included in the reference information.
[0108] For example, the reference information according to an embodiment of the present invention may include information that the swing is preferable when the length of the second section is 0.25 seconds or more and less than 0.35 seconds, information that the swing is unpreferable because the length of the second section is slightly short when the length of the second section is 0.2 seconds or more and less than 0.25 seconds, information that the swing is unpreferable because the length of the second section is slightly long when the length of the second section is 0.35 seconds or more and less than 0.4 seconds, information that the swing is unpreferable because the length of the second section is very short when the length of the second section is less than 0.2 seconds, and information that the swing is unpreferable because the length of the second section is very long when the length of the second section is 0.4 seconds or more. Here, when the information on at least one section according to an embodiment of the present invention is that the length of the second section is 0.3 seconds, the feedback information generating unit 240 according to an embodiment of the present invention can compare the reference information with the information on at least one section and generate information that the user's downswing is a preferable swing as feedback information. Here, if the information regarding at least one section according to one embodiment of the present invention is that the length of the second section is 0.6 seconds, the feedback information generating unit 240 according to one embodiment of the present invention may generate, as feedback information, information that the user's downswing is very long and therefore is an undesirable swing.
[0109] In other words, the feedback information generating unit 240 according to one embodiment of the present invention can compare information on at least one section with standard reference information including at least one section information, determine section information to which the length of a specific section constituting a user's golf swing belongs, and generate preset feedback information corresponding to the corresponding section information.
[0110] Meanwhile, it should be considered that the at least one section compared by the feedback information generating unit 240 according to an embodiment of the present invention may include a top section in addition to the first and second sections. For example, the feedback information generating unit 240 according to an embodiment of the present invention may compare information on the top section with standard reference information, determine whether the length of the top section in the user's golf swing is an appropriate length when compared with the standard reference information, and generate feedback information on the top section.
[0111] To continue, according to an embodiment of the present invention, the information on at least one section may include first section information on a length of the first section and second section information on a length of the second section, and the feedback information generator 240 may determine a section for which correction is proposed between the first section and the second section by referring to a first comparison result corresponding to the first section information and a second comparison result corresponding to the second section information. Here, the feedback information generated by the feedback information generator 240 may include information on the section for which correction is proposed.
[0112] For example, the feedback information generating unit 240 according to an embodiment of the present invention may determine the section for which correction is proposed to be made as the first section, since the length of the first section should be further shortened but the length of the second section is ideal, by referring to a first comparison result obtained by comparing the first section information (information that the length of the backswing is 1.5 seconds) with the first reference section information (information that the length of the backswing is ideal when it is 0.8 seconds or more and 1.0 seconds or less) and a second comparison result obtained by comparing the second section information (information that the length of the downswing is 0.3 seconds) with the second reference section information (information that the length of the downswing is ideal when it is 0.25 seconds or more and less than 0.35 seconds). Here, the feedback information generating unit 240 according to an embodiment of the present invention may generate feedback information that the length of the first section should be further shortened.
[0113] As another example, the feedback information generating unit 240 according to an embodiment of the present invention may determine the section for which correction is proposed to be made as the first section by referring to a first comparison result obtained by comparing the first section information (information that the length of the backswing is 1.5 seconds) with the first reference section information (information that the length of the backswing is ideally 0.8 seconds or more and 1.0 seconds or less) and a second comparison result obtained by comparing the second section information (information that the length of the downswing is 0.7 seconds) with the second reference section information (information that the length of the downswing is ideally 0.25 seconds or more and less than 0.35 seconds). In other words, when the length of the backswing and the length of the downswing are both longer than the reference standard information, it is preferable to correct the backswing first and then correct the downswing, so that the feedback information generating unit 240 according to an embodiment of the present invention may determine the section for which correction is proposed to be made as the first section.
[0114] According to the present invention, when the length of the first section and the length of the second section are different from the lengths corresponding to the reference information, the section that needs correction first among the first section and the second section is identified, so that the user can easily correct his / her posture using the feedback information.
[0115] Meanwhile, the reference information according to an embodiment of the present invention may be directly determined by a user. For example, the user according to an embodiment of the present invention may determine at least one of the first reference section information, the second reference section information, and the reference section ratio information as specific information (e.g., information on the length or ratio of the section targeted by the user). For a specific example, the user according to an embodiment of the present invention may provide specific reference section ratio information (e.g., information that the ratio of the length of the first section to the length of the second section is 4:1) for the information providing system 200, and the feedback information generating unit 40 may compare the corresponding reference section ratio information with the section ratio information to generate feedback information.
[0116] FIG. 5 is a diagram illustrating an example of a user interface provided through a display according to an embodiment of the present invention.
[0117] 5(b), the section information acquiring unit 240 according to an embodiment of the present invention can acquire at least one of information on the direction in which the user's swing posture is photographed (e.g., the front direction of the user or the side direction of the user), information on the type of club used by the user (e.g., iron or driver), and section ratio information targeted by the user (e.g., reference section ratio information), which can be acquired by the image acquiring unit 210 or by other components within the information providing system 200, as will be apparent to those skilled in the art. Here, the acquired section ratio information targeted by the user is preset reference section ratio information, and the feedback information generating unit 240 can generate feedback information by comparing the corresponding preset reference section ratio information with the user's section ratio information.
[0118] Meanwhile, the information providing system 200 according to an embodiment of the present invention may further include an information providing unit 250. The information providing unit 250 according to an embodiment of the present invention may perform a function of providing at least one of preset reference information, information on at least one section, and feedback information through a display.
[0119] Specifically, the information providing unit 250 according to an embodiment of the present invention may visually provide at least one of preset reference information, information on at least one section, and feedback information through a display of the device 300 or an external system (not shown). Here, the information providing unit 250 according to an embodiment of the present invention may be linked to a User Interface (UI) / User eXperience (UX).
[0120] For example, referring to FIG. 5(a), the information providing unit 250 according to an embodiment of the present invention may exemplarily provide a swing image corresponding to specific section ratio information (e.g., golf swing rhythm information).
[0121] As another example, referring to (c) of FIG. 5, the information providing unit 250 according to one embodiment of the present invention may provide information regarding a method for calculating the length of a particular section (e.g., the tempo of a backswing, the tempo of a downswing) and the ratio between two sections (e.g., the rhythm of a golf swing).
[0122] FIG. 6 is a diagram illustrating an example of a situation in which feedback information is provided according to an embodiment of the present invention.
[0123] Referring to FIG. 6(a), the information providing unit 250 according to one embodiment of the present invention can provide information on the length of at least one section (e.g., when a user makes a golf swing, the length of the backswing section is 1.65 seconds, the length of the top section is 0.03 seconds, the length of the downswing is 0.28 seconds, and the length from the start of the address section to the point of impact is 1.95 seconds) and section ratio information (e.g., information that the ratio of the length of the backswing section to the length of the downswing section is 5.8:1) through a display.
[0124] 6(b), according to one embodiment of the present invention, if the feedback information generated by the feedback information generating unit 240 includes information that the length of the first section (i.e., the length of the backswing section) in the user's golf swing is determined to be somewhat longer than the first reference section information and the length of the backswing should be shortened (i.e., the backswing should be made faster), the information providing unit 250 may provide information to make the backswing faster through a display. If the length of the first section in the user's golf swing is determined to be too long compared to the first reference section information, the feedback information generated by the feedback information generating unit 240 may include information that the length of the backswing should be very short (i.e., the backswing should be made very fast), and the information providing unit 250 may provide information to make the backswing very fast through a display.
[0125] Therefore, according to the present invention, by comparing at least one reference information included in the reference information with information on at least one section, feedback that can be provided to the user can be diversified.
[0126] The information providing unit 250 according to an embodiment of the present invention may cumulatively provide information on at least one section in response to two or more golf swings.
[0127] For example, referring to Fig. 6(a), the information providing unit 250 according to an embodiment of the present invention may compare the length of a specific swing section constituting the user's golf swing with the length of the previous swing section in response to two or more golf swings, and provide information on the increase or decrease in the length of the section compared to the previous swing. As a specific example, referring to Fig. 6(a), when the user makes two or more golf swings, the information providing unit 250 may provide information through a display that the length of the user's backswing section is shorter than the previous swing, the length of the top section is longer than the previous swing, and the length of the downswing section is shorter than the previous swing.
[0128] As another example, referring to FIG. 6(a), according to one embodiment of the present invention, the information providing unit 250 may display preset reference information (information shown by a solid line in the graph of FIG. 6(a)) and information regarding at least one section (information shown by a dotted line in the graph of FIG. 6(a)).
[0129] FIG. 6 is a diagram illustrating an example of a situation in which feedback information is provided according to an embodiment of the present invention.
[0130] 6(a), as another example, the information providing unit 250 according to an embodiment of the present invention may cumulatively provide the results of the golf swing on the screen in response to the user's golf swing being performed two or more times (e.g., five times). Thus, the user according to an embodiment of the present invention can easily check the results of his / her golf swing, which can help improve his / her golf skills.
[0131] As another example, the information providing unit 250 according to an embodiment of the present invention may provide statistical information corresponding to at least one of preset reference information, information regarding the at least one section, and the feedback information.
[0132] Referring to (b) and (c) of FIG. 6, the information providing unit 250 according to one embodiment of the present invention can provide, as statistical information, information regarding the average length of the backswing section, information regarding the average length of the downswing section, and average section ratio information corresponding to the section ratio information in response to a user's golf swing being performed two or more times.
[0133] As yet another example, the information providing unit 250 according to one embodiment of the present invention may provide at least one of a coordinate system element corresponding to the first section information and the second section information and a slope element corresponding to the section ratio information through a display.
[0134] 7(a), the information providing unit 250 according to an embodiment of the present invention can visually provide the results of a golf swing on a two-dimensional coordinate system composed of an axis (e.g., horizontal axis) corresponding to a first section (i.e., backswing section) and an axis (e.g., vertical axis) corresponding to a second section. Here, according to an embodiment of the present invention, the section ratio information can be expressed by the gradient elements of the two axes, so that the information providing unit 250 can provide the gradient elements corresponding to the section ratio information through a display.
[0135] Therefore, according to the present invention, a user can easily understand information regarding the length of the first section, the length of the second section, and the section ratio in his / her swing through the display, which can help improve his / her golf skills.
[0136] 7, the feedback information generating unit 240 according to an embodiment of the present invention may further generate at least one of information regarding the consistency of the golf swing and information regarding accuracy calculated based on the similarity between the golf swing and the reference information in response to the user's golf swing being performed two or more times. Here, the similarity between the golf swing and the reference information may be calculated based on a similarity model using a linear regression analysis model or an artificial neural network, but is not limited thereto.
[0137] Hereinafter, the provision of feedback regarding a golf swing according to an embodiment of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to FIGS.
[0138] Fifth Example Referring to FIG. 5(b), according to an embodiment of the present invention, information on at least one of a swing position, a club used, a number of practice sessions, and a target rhythm can be obtained.
[0139] Then, the feedback information generating unit 240 may preset the reference information by referring to information regarding at least one of the club used (eg, an iron or a driver) and the target rhythm.
[0140] Next, the section information acquisition unit 230 may acquire information regarding at least one section constituting the golf swing.
[0141] Then, the feedback information generating unit 240 may generate feedback information regarding the golf swing by referring to a comparison result between preset reference information and information regarding the at least one section.
[0142] Therefore, according to the present invention, reference information can be preset according to the type of a specific club selected by the user, and the user can receive feedback information customized for the specific club.
[0143] Next, the communication unit 260 according to one embodiment of the present invention can perform a function of enabling data to be transmitted and received from / to the image acquisition unit 210, the interval information generation unit 220, the interval information acquisition unit 230, the feedback information generation unit 240, and the information provision unit 250.
[0144] Finally, the control unit 270 according to an embodiment of the present invention may perform a function of controlling data flow between the image obtaining unit 210, the section information generating unit 220, the section information obtaining unit 230, the feedback information generating unit 240, the information providing unit 250, and the communication unit 260. That is, the control unit 270 according to an embodiment of the present invention may control the image obtaining unit 210, the section information generating unit 220, the section information obtaining unit 230, the feedback information generating unit 240, the information providing unit 250, and the communication unit 260 to perform their respective unique functions by controlling the data flow from / to the outside of the information providing system 200 or the data flow between each component of the information providing system 200.
