Furthermore, the child support assembly described herein may include a cushion portion extending below the front seat portion and the rear seat portion, the rear seat portion being rotatable relative to the front seat portion and the cushion portion between an unfolded state and a folded state, and the cushion portion provides a bearing support for the front seat portion and the rear seat portion in the unfolded state, which is elastically deformable along the up-down direction of the child support apparatus. Thus, a comfortable support can be provided to a child seated in the front seat portion and the rear seat portion. The child support apparatus embodiments described herein include a child stroller apparatus. However, it will be appreciated that the features of the child support assembly described herein can be implemented in any type of child support apparatus, including, but not limited to, a child stroller apparatus, a child motion apparatus such as a baby swing or rocker, and the like.

[0009] Figures 1 and 2 are two perspective views illustrating a child support apparatus 200 implemented as an embodiment of a child stroller apparatus, Figures 3 and 4 are two side views illustrating the child support apparatus 200 in an unfolded state and a folded state, respectively, and Figures 5 and 6 are two perspective views illustrating a child support assembly 100 provided in the child support apparatus 200. Referring to Figures 1 to 6, the child support apparatus 200 may include a standing frame 201, a handle frame 2013 connected to the standing frame 201, and a child support assembly 100 supported by the standing frame 201 and adapted to receive a seated child.

[0010] The standing frame 201 may include two leg frames 2011 and 2012 connected to two side connecting portions 2081, where the leg frame 2011 is illustratively a front leg frame and the leg frame 2012 is illustratively a rear leg frame. Each of the leg frames 2011 and 2012 may include two side segments symmetrically disposed on the left and right sides of the standing frame 201, such as two side segments 2011A for the leg frame 2011 and two side segments 2012A for the leg frame 2012, respectively. On the left and right sides, the side segments 2011A of the leg frame 2011 and the side segments 2012A of the leg frame 2012 can be pivotally coupled to one side connection part 2081, respectively, so that the side connection part 2081 and the leg frames 2011 and 2012 can rotate relative to each other during folding and unfolding of the child support apparatus 200. According to one example of the structure, the side segments 2011A of the leg frame 2011 and the side segments 2012A of the leg frame 2012 can be pivotally coupled to the side connection part 2081, respectively, about a common pivot axis on the left and right sides, respectively. According to another example of the structure, the side segments 2011A of the leg frame 2011 and the side segments 2012A of the leg frame 2012 can be pivotally coupled to the side connection part 2081, respectively, about two different pivot axes on the left and right sides, respectively. Additionally, the two leg frames 2011 and 2012 may have wheel assemblies 204 and 205, respectively, for facilitating movement of the child support apparatus 200 over a floor surface.

[0011] 1-3, the handle frame 2013 may be pivotally coupled to the standing frame 201 via two connecting bars 2083. According to an example of a structure, the handle frame 2013 may include two side portions 2013A symmetrically arranged on the left and right sides, and a grip portion 2013B connected to the two side portions 2013A. On each of the left and right sides, the side portion 2013A of the handle frame 2013 may be coupled to a side segment 2012A of the leg frame 2012 via a connecting bar 2083, and two opposite ends of the connecting bar 2083 are pivotally coupled to the side portion 2013A of the handle frame 2013 via a pivot connection P5 and to the side segment 2012A of the leg frame 2012 via a pivot connection P6, respectively.

[0012] 1-6, the standing frame 201 may be provided with a bearing frame portion 202 for mounting the child support assembly 100. The bearing frame portion 202 may include two side bar portions 2021 disposed on the left and right sides of the child support assembly 100, respectively, and one or more cross bars 2022 fixedly connected to the two side bar portions 2021. The cross bars 2022 may contribute to adding stability and strength to the bearing frame portion 202. Each side bar portion 2021 may be pivotally coupled to the standing frame 201 and the carrier bar 2082, respectively. For example, the pivot connection P7 may couple one end of the side bar portion 2021 to a side segment 2011A of the corresponding leg frame 2011 at a midpoint between the upper and lower ends of the side segment 2011A. Furthermore, the side bar portion 2021 can be pivotally coupled to the carrier bar 2082 via the same pivot connection P5 that pivotally couples the side portion 2013A of the handle frame 2013 to the connecting bar 2083. For example, the pivot connection P5 can pivotally couple the side portion 2013A of the handle frame 2013, the connecting bar 2083, the carrier bar 2082, and the side bar portion 2021 to each other, which are arranged adjacent to each other in this order from the inside to the outside of the standing frame 201. Thus, the side portion 2013A of the handle frame 2013, the connecting bar 2083, the carrier bar 2082, and the side bar portion 2021 can be pivotally connected to each other about a common pivot axis defined by the pivot connection P5 on the left and right sides of the child support apparatus 200, respectively. The carrier bar 2082 may further be pivotally coupled to the side link portion 2081 via a pivot connection P8 spaced apart from the pivot connection P5.

[0013] In the above frame structure, the side connecting portion 2081, the carrier bar 2082, and the connecting bar 2083 provided on the left and right sides, respectively, can form a connecting structure 208 that is coupled to the standing frame 201, the handle frame 2013, and the support frame portion 202 to facilitate folding and unfolding of the child support apparatus 200. Furthermore, the handle frame 2013 can be adjusted between two different positions for a child to push the child support apparatus 200 in different directions facing forward or backward. For example, the handle frame 2013 is shown in Figs. 1-3 in a position where a child pushes the child support apparatus 200 in a direction facing forward. In this position, the handle frame 2013 can be locked to the carrier bar 2082 at a position away from the pivot connection P5, for example via a latch portion 2018 provided on the side portion 2013A of the handle frame 2013.

[0014] In relation to Figures 1-3, Figures 5 and 6 are two perspective views illustrating the child support assembly 100, and Figure 7 is an enlarged view of part A shown in Figure 6. Referring to Figures 1-3 and 5-7, the child support assembly 100 is supported by a standing frame 201 and attached to a support frame portion 202. The child support assembly 100 may include a cushion portion 40, a front seat portion 10, a rear seat portion 20, a backrest frame 203, two side guards 206, and a head guard 207.

[0015] 1-3, 5, and 6, the cushion portion 40 can extend under the front seat portion 10 and the rear seat portion 20, and can provide support for the front seat portion 10 and the rear seat portion 20, which is elastically deformable along the up-down direction V of the child support apparatus 200. According to an example of a structure, the cushion portion 40 may include an elastic wire 41. Examples of materials for the elastic wire 41 may include, but are not limited to, steel, metal alloy, plastic, or any other suitable material having the ability to elastically deform. The elastic wire 41 can extend between the left and right sides of the child support assembly 100, and two opposing ends 41A of the elastic wire 41 are fixedly connected to two side bar portions 2021 of the support frame portion 202 respectively via two joint portions 42. Each joint portion 42 may illustratively be fastened or welded to the side bar portion 2021, and the corresponding end 41A of the elastic wire 41 may be fastened to the joint portion 42.

[0016] The front seat part 10 may be fixedly connected to the elastic wire 41 and further pivotally connected to the rear seat part 20 via a pivot joint 30. The pivot joint 30 may illustratively include one or more pivot mounts 11 provided on the front seat part 10 adjacent to a rear portion of the front seat part 10, one or more pivot mounts 21 provided on the rear seat part 20 adjacent to a front portion of the rear seat part 20, and a shaft portion 31 passing through the pivot mounts 11 and 21, thereby defining a pivot axis extending transversely to the front seat part 10 and the rear seat part 20. The pivot mounts 11 and 21 may be alternately arranged along the pivot axis defined by the shaft portion 31.

[0017] The elastic wire 41 can provide support for the front seat part 10 and the rear seat part 20, which can be elastically deformed along the up-down direction V of the child support device 200. According to an example of the structure, the underside of the front seat part 10 can include a capture part 43, and the elastic wire 41 can be attached to the front seat part 10 by inserting and engaging with the capture part 43. The elastic wire 41 can extend from the underside of the front seat part 10 to the underside of the rear seat part 20 behind the pivot joint 30, and can include multiple curved parts between two opposite ends 41A, which respectively form multiple hinges, allowing elastic deflection of the elastic wire 41 along the up-down direction V. For example, the elastic wire 41 can be curved upward from the two side bar parts 2021, and can include two parts extending vertically from the underside of the front seat part 10 to the underside of the rear seat part 20, and can further include a transverse part extending along the width direction of the rear seat part 20. It will be appreciated that although the elastic wire 41 is shown in FIG. 6 as having a particular shape, other shapes may be suitable to allow elastic deflection of the elastic wire 41 along the vertical direction V.

[0018] In the above-mentioned structure, the rear seat part 20 can rotate relative to the front seat part 10 and the cushion part 40 between the unfolded state and the folded state. More specifically, the front seat part 10 and the rear seat part 20 can extend along substantially the same plane and can be supported in contact with the cushion part 40, respectively, in the unfolded state, and the rear seat part 20 can rotate relative to the front seat part 10 away from the rear part of the cushion part 40 in the folded state. For example, the rear seat part 20 can be placed in contact with the rear part 41B of the elastic wire 41 located behind the pivot joint 30 in the unfolded state, and can be rotated away from the rear part 41B of the elastic wire 41 in the folded state.

[0019] 5-7, the pivot joint 30 may further include one or more springs 32 adapted to provide a biasing force to facilitate deployment of the rear seat portion 20 relative to the front seat portion 10. For example, the springs 32 may be torsion springs disposed around the shaft portion 31 and connected to the front seat portion 10 and the rear seat portion 20, respectively.

[0020] According to one example of the structure, the shaft portion 31 may be disposed through two pivot mounts 11 provided on the front seat portion 10 and one pivot mount 21 provided on the rear seat portion 20 between the two pivot mounts 11, and the spring 32 may be wound around the shaft portion 31 on both sides of the pivot mount 21. The spring 32 may have two end prongs 321 attached to two anchor portions 33 attached to the front seat portion 10, respectively, and a middle tab portion 322 between the two end prongs 321 attached to an anchor portion 34 attached to the rear seat portion 20. For example, each end prong 321 may be hooked onto a corresponding anchor portion 33 which may have a hook shape including two curved portions 331 and 332 connected to each other, the curved portion 331 protruding substantially vertically from the lower surface of the front seat portion 10, and the curved portion 332 protruding substantially vertically or at an angle from the curved portion 331. Similarly, the intermediate tab portion 322 can be hooked onto the anchor portion 34, which can have a hook shape including two curved portions 341 and 342 connected to each other, with the curved portion 341 protruding from the pivot mount 21 substantially parallel to the lower surface of the rear seat portion 20 and the curved portion 342 protruding substantially perpendicularly or at an angle from the curved portion 341.

[0021] 1-6, the backrest frame 203 is pivotally connected to the rear seat portion 20 such that the backrest frame 203 can rotate relative to the rear seat portion 20. For example, the backrest frame 203 may include two side portions 203A and a transverse portion 203B connected together, and each of the two side portions 203A can be pivotally connected to the rear seat portion 20 via a pivot connection P4. The two side guards 206 can extend parallel to the two side portions 203A of the backrest frame 203, and the head guard 207 can extend laterally along the transverse portion 203B of the backrest frame 203. Each side guard 206 can be pivotally connected to a corresponding carrier bar 2082 via a pivot connection P1 and to the head guard 207 via a pivot connection P2, respectively. Further, the head guard 207 may be pivotally connected to the transverse portion 203B of the back frame 203 via a pivot connection P3.

[0022] In conjunction with Figures 1-3 and 5-7, Figure 4 is a side view illustrating the child support apparatus 200 in a folded state, and Figures 8-10 are perspective views illustrating an exemplary folding operation of the child support apparatus 200. When the child support apparatus 200 is in an unfolded state for use, the front seat portion 10 and the rear seat portion 20 can be unfolded from each other and can extend along substantially the same plane to receive a child sitting or leaning on. Furthermore, the side connecting portions 2081, the carrier bar 2082, and the connecting bar 2083 of the connecting structure 208 can be spread out, with the pivot connection P5 being located above the pivot connection P4 and the pivot connection P6 being located below the pivot connection P4.

[0023] When the child support apparatus 200 is to be folded, the leg frame 2011 and the handle frame 2013 are rotated and folded towards the leg frame 2012, which can urge the support frame portion 202 and the back frame 203 to be folded towards the leg frame 2012 on two opposite sides of the leg frame 2012. As a result, the front seat portion 10 and the rear seat portion 20 can be rotated and urged to be folded towards each other, and the pivot connections P6 and P4 can move upward relative to the pivot connection P5 until the pivot connection P6 reaches a highest position above and in front of the pivot connection P5 and the pivot connection P4 is located above and behind the pivot connection P5. Thereby, the folded child support apparatus 200 can have a compact size for convenient storage.

[0024] Advantages of the child support apparatus described herein include the ability to fold for compact storage, provide cushioned support and a larger seating area for a child, and therefore the child support apparatus may be more comfortable during use.
