Abstract
To provide an optical component, a lens holding structure, and an optical communication module that can achieve miniaturization while dealing with optical axis misalignment.SOLUTION: A lens assembly 6 has a holder 6A and a lens 6B. The lens 6B has a central axis 6C along a Z direction. The holder 6A has a central axis 6D in the Z direction, and the lens 6B, which has a main surface in the Z direction, is fitted in such that the central axis 6C is eccentric from the central axis 6D.
