[0009] [Description of the embodiments of the present disclosure] First, the embodiments of the present disclosure will be listed and described. The planetary gear device of the present disclosure is (1) A planetary gear device comprising: a shaft member that rotates around an axis; a carrier having a pair of wall portions extending radially of the shaft member and rotating around the axis together with the shaft member; a pinion shaft whose both ends are supported by the pair of wall portions; a pinion gear rotatably supported on the pinion shaft; and a receiver attached to one of the pair of wall portions, wherein the pinion shaft has an oil passage that opens to one end face and allows oil to flow for lubricating the pinion gear, and the receiver supplies oil toward the opening of the oil passage, wherein the receiver has a holding portion that clamps and holds the wall portions, and the holding portion has a washer portion that is arranged between the pinion gear and the wall portions and has a through hole through which the pinion shaft passes.
[0010] According to the above-described configuration, the receiver has a washer portion, and thus can perform a washer function in addition to an oil supply function.
[0011] (2) The washer portion may be formed in a corrugated plate shape. According to the above configuration, the washer portion is formed in a corrugated plate shape, and thus can perform further functions such as adjusting the clearance between the pinion gear and the wall portion and absorbing the thrust load received from the pinion gear.
[0012] (3) It is preferable that a plurality of the receivers are provided corresponding to the plurality of pinion shafts, respectively. According to the above configuration, since the receiver is disposed only where the pinion shaft is located, it is easier to reduce the weight and size compared to the conventional configuration in which the receiver is disk-shaped and covers all of the pinion shafts. Also, if one receiver is provided for one pinion shaft, even if the number of pinion gears increases or decreases due to design changes, for example, the configuration can be adapted by preparing the corresponding number of receivers.
[0013] [Details of the embodiment of the present disclosure] Specific examples of the present disclosure will be described below with reference to the drawings. Note that the present invention is not limited to these examples, but is defined by the claims, and is intended to include all modifications within the meaning and scope of the claims.
[0014] <Embodiment 1> A planetary gear device 100 according to a first embodiment of the present disclosure is provided in a transaxle of an electric vehicle such as a hybrid electric vehicle (HEV) or a plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV). The planetary gear device 100 is housed in a casing (not shown) and rotates around a rotation axis A disposed substantially horizontally. As shown in Figs. 1 and 2, the planetary gear device 100 includes a shaft member 10, a carrier 70, a plurality of pinion shafts 30, a plurality of pinion gears 20, and a receiver 80.
[0015] In the following description, the direction along the rotation axis A is defined as the axial direction, the direction around the rotation axis A as the circumferential direction, and the direction perpendicular to the rotation axis A as the radial direction. The directions in the description of each part of the planetary gear unit 100 are based on the assembled state.
[0016] The shaft member 10 is supported by a bearing portion (not shown) and rotates around a rotation axis A that is set coaxially with the central axis. The carrier 70 rotates together with the shaft member 10 around the rotation axis A. The multiple pinion shafts 30 are supported by the carrier 70. The multiple pinion gears 20 are rotatably supported by each of the multiple pinion shafts 30. The receiver 80 supplies oil to the pinion gears 20.
[0017] The shaft member 10 is formed by forming by forging and then machining. The shaft member 10 has a cylindrical shape with the direction of the central axis as the longitudinal direction. As shown in FIG. 1 and FIG. 2, an oil passage 11 through which oil flows is formed in the center of the shaft member 10 along the axial direction. The oil passage 11 has a branch passage 11A that opens on the outer circumferential surface of the shaft member 10. In the case of this embodiment, a plurality of branch passages 11A are formed corresponding to a plurality of pinion gears 20. The plurality of branch passages 11A are formed radially at equal intervals around the rotation axis A. A plate-shaped flange portion 12 is integrally formed on the outer circumferential surface of one end side of the shaft member 10. The flange portion 12 protrudes radially from the one end side of the shaft member 10. The flange portion 12 is joined to a cover 50 of the carrier 70, which will be described later.
[0018] As shown in FIG. 2, the pinion gears 20 are arranged in groups of three, equidistantly spaced at 120° around the rotation axis A. The pinion gears 20 are helical gears. The pinion shafts 30 are arranged with their central axes parallel to the rotation axis A. An oil passage 31 is formed in each pinion shaft 30. The oil passage 31 opens at one end of the axial direction of each pinion shaft 30 and extends along the axial direction. The oil passage 31 is bent at the axial center of the pinion shaft 30 and opens on the outer circumferential surface of the pinion shaft 30. A needle bearing 32 is arranged between the outer circumferential surface of the pinion shaft 30 and the inner circumferential surface of the pinion gear 20. The pinion shaft 30 supports the pinion gear 20 via the needle bearing 32.
[0019] Each pinion gear 20 meshes with a sun gear 60 on the inner periphery side and with a ring gear (not shown) on the outer periphery side. The sun gear 60 and the ring gear (not shown) rotate around a rotation axis A so as to be rotatable relative to the shaft member 10. In the planetary gear device 100, the pinion gear 20 is drivingly connected to, for example, an internal combustion engine via a carrier 70 and the shaft member 10. The sun gear 60 and the ring gear (not shown) are drivingly connected to, for example, a rotating electric machine and wheels, respectively. When torque is input from the internal combustion engine to the shaft member 10, for example, the planetary gear device 100 distributes a part of the torque to the rotating electric machine via the sun gear 60 and distributes the remaining torque to the wheels via the ring gear (not shown).
[0020] The carrier 70 rotates integrally with the shaft member 10 while supporting a plurality of pinion shafts 30. The carrier 70 has a carrier body 40 and a cover 50. The carrier body 40 and the cover 50 are examples of a pair of wall portions according to the present disclosure. The carrier body 40 and the cover 50 are each formed by forging. The carrier body 40 and the cover 50 are each formed in an annular shape. The central axes of the carrier body 40 and the cover 50 are arranged coaxially with the rotation axis A. As shown in Figs. 1 and 3, the carrier body 40 and the cover 50 are arranged at a predetermined interval from each other in the plate thickness direction. Each pinion gear 20 is arranged between the carrier body 40 and the cover 50.
[0021] The carrier body 40 and the cover 50 form a plurality of insertion holes 41, 51 into which the ends of the pinion shafts 30 are inserted. The insertion holes 41 on the carrier body 40 side and the insertion holes 51 on the cover 50 side are each formed at the same circumferential position about the rotation axis A. The insertion holes 41, 51 are formed at the same circumferential position about the rotation axis A by machining after the carrier body 40 and the cover 50 are joined. Side washers 33 are disposed between both end faces of each pinion gear 20 and the cover 50. The side washers 33 have functions such as reducing friction between the pinion gears 20 and the cover 50 and maintaining the position of the needle bearings 32.
[0022] As shown in FIG. 3, the cover 50 faces the flange portion 12 in the radial direction. The cover 50 is joined to the outer peripheral surface 12A of the flange portion 12 at an inner peripheral surface 52. The joint between the cover 50 and the flange portion 12 is welded by electron beam welding or the like. The carrier body 40 and the cover 50 are joined by a protrusion 42. The protrusion 42 protrudes from the outer peripheral edge of the carrier body 40 toward the cover 50. A plurality of protrusions 42 are provided. The plurality of protrusions 42 are disposed at equal intervals between the pinion gears 20 in the circumferential direction of the carrier body 40. Each protrusion 42 is fitted onto the outer peripheral surface of the cover 50. In other words, the cover 50 is joined to the protrusion 42 at the outer peripheral surface. The joint between the cover 50 and the protrusion 42 is welded by electron beam welding or the like.
[0023] The receiver 80 is formed by punching out a metal spring plate material such as stainless spring steel into a predetermined shape and then bending the same. A plurality of receivers 80 are provided corresponding to the plurality of pinion shafts 30. Each receiver 80 covers an end face of each pinion shaft 30. As shown in Figs. 4 to 6, the receiver 80 has a partition portion 81 and a holding portion 82. The partition portion 81 and the holding portion 82 are integrally formed from a single plate material.
[0024] The holding portion 82 is in the form of a clip that clamps the carrier body 40 as a wall portion in the plate thickness direction. As shown in Figs. 4 to 6, the holding portion 82 is composed of a washer portion 82A and a frame portion 82B that face each other, and a connecting portion 82C that connects the washer portion 82A and the frame portion 82B at one end on the outer periphery side. One end on the inner periphery side of the washer portion 82A and the frame portion 82B is a free end. The carrier body 40 is inserted into the holding portion 82 from this free end side, and the carrier body 40 is clamped in the plate thickness direction by the washer portion 82A and the frame portion 82B. In a free state in which the holding portion 82 does not clamp the carrier body 40 and is not elastically deformed, the interval between the washer portion 82A and the frame portion 82B is gradually narrowed from the end connected by the connecting portion 82C toward the free end side. In other words, in the holding portion 82, in a free state, the distance between the washer portion 82A and the frame-shaped portion 82B on the free end side is narrower than the plate thickness of the carrier body 40.
[0025] The washer portion 82A is disposed on the inner surface 40A side of the carrier body 40, which is the surface facing the cover 50 side. A through hole 82D through which the pinion shaft 30 passes is formed in the washer portion 82A in the plate thickness direction. When the receiver 80 is assembled to the carrier body 40, the washer portion 82A is disposed between the pinion gear 20 and the carrier body 40 as shown in Fig. 3, and functions in the same manner as the side washer 33. The surface of the washer portion 82A facing the pinion gear 20 side is subjected to a surface treatment such as a coating to reduce friction.
[0026] The frame-shaped portion 82B is disposed on the outer surface 40B side, which is the surface of the carrier body 40 facing the opposite side to the cover 50 side. As shown in FIG. 4 and FIG. 5, the frame-shaped portion 82B is formed in a rectangular frame shape having a pair of arms 82E extending from the connecting portion 82C toward the free end side and a connecting portion 82F connecting each tip of the pair of arms 82E. An arc-shaped portion 82G is provided at the middle portion in the extension direction of each arm 82E. When the receiver 80 is assembled to the carrier body 40, the arc-shaped portion 82G has an arc shape that is convex in a direction away from the surface of the carrier body 40. By forming the arc-shaped portion 82G, the frame-shaped portion 82B can suitably apply the elastic force in the direction in which the holding portion 82 sandwiches the carrier body 40 to the connecting portion 82F on the tip side of the arm 82E.
[0027] As shown in FIG. 3 to FIG. 6, the partition portion 81 is bent and extends in a hook shape as a whole in a side view. The partition portion 81 has a base end portion 81A, an intermediate portion 81B, and a tip end portion 81C. The base end portion 81A is connected to the connecting portion 82C of the holding portion 82 at one end side. The tip side of the base end portion 81A is bent in a direction away from the outer surface 40B of the carrier body 40 at the connecting portion with the connecting portion 82C. The base end portion 81A extends obliquely from the connecting portion with the connecting portion 82C toward the center side in the radial direction. An oil supply hole 81D penetrating in the plate thickness direction is formed in the base end portion 81A. The oil supply hole 81D introduces oil other than oil supplied from the center side in the radial direction, such as oil mist or dripping oil in the atmosphere in a casing (not shown) in which the planetary gear device 100 is arranged, into the oil passage 31 of the pinion shaft 30.
[0028] The intermediate portion 81B is bent from the tip of the base end portion 81A and extends along the outer surface 40B of the carrier body 40. The tip of the intermediate portion 81B extends toward the center in the radial direction. The tip of the intermediate portion 81B extends to a position closer to the rotation axis A than the end face of the pinion shaft 30. The width of the intermediate portion 81B is narrower than the width of the base end portion 81A. The tip portion 81C is an example of an oil guide portion according to the present disclosure. The tip portion 81C is folded back from the tip of the intermediate portion 81B and extends obliquely in the radially outward direction toward the opening of the oil passage 31. As shown in FIG. 5 and FIG. 6, the tip of the tip portion 81C is tapered and enters the inside of the oil passage 31.
[0029] The tip portion 81C has a center-facing plate surface 81E facing the center side in the radial direction of the carrier body 40, and an outward-facing plate surface 81F facing outward. Each plate surface 81E, 81F functions as an oil receiving surface. The center-facing plate surface 81E receives oil supplied mainly from the center side in the radial direction, such as oil ejected from the opening of the branch passage 11A in the oil passage 11 formed in the shaft member 10. The outward-facing plate surface 81F receives oil supplied mainly from the outside in the radial direction, such as oil dripping through the oil supply hole 81D. The oil received by each plate surface 81E, 81F travels along the surface by centrifugal force to reach the tip and is introduced into the oil passage 31.
[0030] When assembling the receiver 80 to the carrier body 40, the gap between the washer portion 82A and the frame-shaped portion 82B in the holding portion 82 is opened slightly while resisting the elastic force. Then, the carrier body 40 is inserted between the washer portion 82A and the frame-shaped portion 82B from the radially outer side. When the force resisting the elastic force is released from the washer portion 82A and the frame-shaped portion 82B in this state, the holding portion 82 contacts the outer surface of the carrier body 40 with the elastic force by the washer portion 82A and the frame-shaped portion 82B. This allows the holding portion 82 to favorably hold the carrier body 40 in a state in which the carrier body 40 is sandwiched between the washer portion 82A and the frame-shaped portion 82B. In addition, an arc-shaped portion 82G is formed on the arm portion 82E of the frame-shaped portion 82B, and the elastic force generated in the frame-shaped portion 82B can be favorably applied to the connection portion 82F at the tip of the frame-shaped portion 82B.
[0031] Thereafter, the pinion gear 20 with the needle bearing 32 and side washer 33 attached thereto is disposed between the carrier body 40 and the cover 50, and the pinion shaft 30 is inserted from the insertion hole 51 on the cover 50 side to the insertion hole 41 on the carrier body 40 side. The pinion shaft 30 penetrates the washer portion 82A together with the pinion gear 20. This allows the receiver 80 to be held in position relative to the carrier body 40, and prevents it from falling off from the carrier body 40 even when a force such as a centrifugal force or an inertial force acts on the receiver 80.
[0032] The operation of the planetary gear device 100 configured as described above will be described. Oil flowing through the oil passage 11 formed in the shaft member 10 enters each branch passage 11A and spurts out from the openings on the outer circumferential surface of the shaft member 10. The spurted out oil adheres to the plate surface facing the radial center of the partition section 81 in the receiver 80. In particular, the oil adhering to the center-facing plate surface 81E of the tip section 81C of the partition section 81 travels along the surface due to the action of centrifugal force caused by rotation around the rotation axis A to reach the tip of the tip section 81C, and is introduced into the oil passage 31 of the pinion shaft 30.
[0033] In addition, oil also adheres to the plate surface of the partition part 81 that faces other than the radial inside. Specifically, oil such as oil dripping from above in a casing (not shown) in which the planetary gear device 100 is housed and oil mist in the atmosphere adheres to the plate surface of the partition part 81. In particular, when the receiver 80, which rotates around the rotation axis A, rotates and moves directly above the rotation axis A, the dripping oil via the oil supply hole 81D formed in the base end part 81A can be suitably adhered to the outward plate surface 81F at the tip end part 81C of the partition part 81. The centrifugal force caused by the rotation around the rotation axis A acts on the oil adhered to the outward plate surface 81F, as with the oil adhered to the center-facing plate surface 81E, and the oil is introduced into the oil passage 31 from the tip end of the tip part 81C. In this way, the receiver 80 can introduce not only oil supplied from the radial center side, but also oil from the radial outside into the oil passage 31.
[0034] The oil introduced into the oil passage 31 is supplied between the outer peripheral surface of the pinion shaft 30 and the inner peripheral surface of the pinion gear 20 from the opening on the outer peripheral surface of the pinion shaft 30. This ensures lubrication between the pinion shaft 30 and the pinion gear 20. A side washer 33 that reduces friction and prevents the needle bearing 32 from falling off is disposed between the cover 50 and the end surface of the pinion gear 20 on the cover 50 side among both end surfaces of the pinion gear 20. On the other hand, a washer portion 82A of the holding portion 82 in the receiver 80 is disposed between the pinion gear 20 and the carrier body 40. This washer portion 82A functions in the same way as the side washer 33. In this way, the receiver 80 has a washer function in addition to the function of supplying oil to the pinion shaft 30. Furthermore, a through hole 82D is formed in the washer portion 82A, and the pinion shaft 30 passes through this through hole 82D. This prevents the receiver 80 from coming loose, and ensures that the receiver 80 is held in place even when centrifugal force due to rotation about the rotation axis A is applied.
[0035] As described above, the planetary gear device 100 according to this embodiment supplies oil to the oil passage 31 of the pinion shaft 30 by the partition portion 81 of the receiver 80. The receiver 80 is held against the carrier body 40, which is one of a pair of walls of the carrier 70, by the holding portion 82. The holding portion 82 has a washer portion 82A. The washer portion 82A is disposed between the pinion gear 20 and the carrier body 40. By having such a washer portion 82A, the receiver 80 can perform a washer function in addition to an oil supply function. Furthermore, the pinion shaft 30 penetrates the through hole 82D in the washer portion 82A, so that the receiver 80 can easily suppress misalignment with respect to the carrier body 40.
[0036] In this embodiment, a plurality of receivers 80 are provided corresponding to the plurality of pinion shafts 30. In this manner, the planetary gear device 100 is configured such that the receivers 80 are disposed only where the pinion shafts 30 are located, and therefore, compared to, for example, a conventional configuration in which the receiver is disk-shaped and covers the entirety of the plurality of pinion shafts, it is easy to reduce the weight and size of the device.
[0037] In this embodiment, the receiver 80 is formed by bending a flat plate material. Therefore, the receiver 80 can be easily manufactured and still perform adequately. In addition, since the receiver 80 is formed by bending a plate material, it is easier to reduce the weight and size compared to conventional receivers.
[0038] In this embodiment, the partition portion 81 has a tip portion 81C as an oil guide portion according to the present disclosure. The tip portion 81C extends from a position spaced from the opening of the oil passage 31 of the pinion shaft 30 toward the opening of the oil passage 31, inclining radially outward, that is, in a direction away from the shaft member 10. In this manner, the partition portion 81 has the tip portion 81C inclined radially outward toward the opening of the oil passage 31, and thus can utilize the centrifugal force generated by the rotation about the rotation axis A to suitably introduce oil into the oil passage 31.
[0039] In this embodiment, the partition portion 81 has an oil supply hole 81D opening at a position facing the outside of an outward plate surface 81F of the tip portion 81C serving as an oil guide, the outward plate surface 81F facing the opposite side to the shaft member 10. This allows the receiver 80 to receive oil from the radially outside. In detail, the receiver 80 can receive oil dripping from the radially outside to the center side via the oil supply hole 81D on the outward plate surface 81F of the tip portion 81C. As a result, the receiver 80 can introduce oil supplied from the radially outside into the oil passage 31 of the pinion shaft 30.
[0040] In this embodiment, the holding portion 82 has a frame-shaped portion 82B that surrounds the outer periphery of the partition portion 81 and elastically contacts the outer surface 40B of the carrier body 40, which is a wall portion. Therefore, the receiver 80 can maintain a state where it is attached to the carrier body 40 by elastic force. In addition, since the receiver 80 is configured to surround the partition portion 81 with the frame-shaped portion 82B, the yield of plate material after sheet metal forming is also good.
[0041] <Embodiment 2> A planetary gear device according to a second embodiment of the present disclosure differs from the first embodiment only in that the receiver has a locking portion, as shown in Fig. 7. The other configurations are the same as those of the first embodiment, so a duplicated description will be omitted.
[0042] The receiver 280 of the second embodiment is attached to the carrier body 40, which serves as a wall portion of the carrier 70, as in the first embodiment. As shown in Fig. 7, the receiver 280 has a locking portion 283. The locking portion 283 is provided at the tip of the connection portion 82F of the frame-shaped portion 82B. The tip side of the locking portion 283 is bent radially outward to form a hook shape.
[0043] In the receiver 280 configured as described above, the locking portion 283 can be locked to the inner peripheral edge of the carrier body 40 when the receiver 280 is attached to the carrier body 40. By locking the locking portion 283 to the inner peripheral edge of the carrier body, the frame-shaped portion 82B of the receiver 280 is prevented from opening even if a force acts on the frame-shaped portion 82B in a direction away from the outer surface 40B of the carrier body 40 due to the action of centrifugal force or the like. Therefore, the receiver 280 is attached to the carrier body 40 more stably.
[0044] <Embodiment 3> A planetary gear device according to a third embodiment of the present disclosure differs from the first embodiment only in the configuration of the washer portion in the holding portion of the receiver, as shown in Fig. 8. The other configurations are the same as those of the first embodiment, so a duplicated description will be omitted.
[0045] The receiver 380 of the third embodiment is attached to the carrier body 40, which serves as a wall portion of the carrier 70, in the same manner as in the first embodiment. As shown in Fig. 8, the holding portion 82 of the receiver 380 has a washer portion 382A. As shown in Fig. 8, the washer portion 382A is formed in a corrugated plate shape.
[0046] In the receiver 380 configured as described above, when the receiver 380 is attached to the carrier body 40, the washer portion 382A is disposed between the carrier body 40 as a wall portion and the pinion gear 20. Since the washer portion 382A is formed in a corrugated plate shape, it can maintain a state of contact with both the carrier body 40 and the pinion gear 20, and can suppress rattling of the pinion gear 20 in the axial direction.
[0047] [Another embodiment of the present disclosure] The embodiments disclosed herein should be considered in all respects as illustrative and not restrictive. In the above embodiment, the washer portion is subjected to a surface treatment such as a coating. In contrast, in another embodiment, the washer portion may not be subjected to a surface treatment. When the washer portion is subjected to a surface treatment, the type of the surface treatment is not particularly important, but it is preferable that the surface treatment has a friction reducing function from the viewpoint of improving the washer function. In the case of the above-mentioned embodiment 3, the washer portion is formed in a corrugated plate shape. In contrast to this, in other embodiments, the washer portion may be configured to protrude in a convex shape in the plate thickness direction, such as an arc shape or a V shape. Even in such a configuration, the washer portion can perform functions such as adjusting the clearance between the pinion gear and the wall portion and absorbing the thrust load received from the pinion gear. In the above embodiment, three pinion gears are provided. In contrast to this, in another embodiment, the number of pinion gears may be four or more. In this case, the number of receivers provided may correspond to the number of pinion gears. In this case, the branch passages of the oil passage in the shaft member may also be formed according to the number of pinion gears. In the above embodiment, the number of receivers provided corresponds to the number of pinion gears (pinion shafts). In contrast, in another embodiment, one receiver may be provided corresponding to a plurality of pinion gears. In the above embodiment, the partition portion has a base end portion, an intermediate portion, and a tip end portion serving as an oil guide portion. In contrast, in another embodiment, the partition portion may be formed, for example, in a linear shape or a series of curved shapes in a side view from the base end portion on the radial outer side to the intermediate portion on the radial center side. In the above embodiment, the oil supply hole is formed in the base end of the partition. In contrast, in another embodiment, the oil supply hole may not be formed in the partition. The receiver may be configured to receive oil supplied mainly from the radially inner side. In the above-described embodiments, the arms of the frame-shaped portion are provided with arc-shaped portions. In contrast, the arms may be formed, for example, in a flat plate shape without being provided with arc-shaped portions.
