Description

[Technical field]

[0001] The present invention relates to a wall structure, and more particularly to a wall structure provided with a deformed stud having a weak portion in a vertical direction. [Background technology]

[0002] Braces (diagonal members) are sometimes installed inside the exterior walls and parting walls of buildings to increase the strength of the walls. Braces are usually positioned so that they do not interfere with the studs (partition posts) to which the wall materials are fixed, but depending on the arrangement of the studs inside the wall, they may be placed in a position that interferes with the studs. In this case, measures are taken such as cutting out only a portion of the stud in the vertical direction (the part that interferes with the brace) on the back side of the stud (rear end).

[0003] JP 2014-234646 A (Patent Document 1) discloses a load-bearing wall that includes studs and braces (diagonal members) that are lip-channel steel. In this load-bearing wall, the rear panels of the studs are abutted against each other with a spacer between them and bolted to form columns, and the braces are arranged to penetrate the rear panels of the studs. That is, the studs are provided with insertion holes for inserting the braces. Since the strength of the studs decreases in the areas where the insertion holes are provided, a technology has been proposed to provide reinforcing parts near the insertion holes in order to suppress the decrease in strength. [0004] [Patent Document 1] JP 2014-234646 A Summary of the Invention [Problem to be solved by the invention]

[0005] When a stud has a defect such as a notch in part of its length (up and down), that part (hereafter referred to as the "weak part") has lower strength than the other part without the defect (hereafter referred to as the "basic part"). Therefore, there is a concern that a stud with a weak part (hereafter referred to as an "irregular stud") will deform more than a normal stud when subjected to an out-of-plane load.

[0006] The reinforcing portion of Patent Document 1 includes a flat reinforcing plate welded and fixed so as to span between the lips of the studs at the same height as the insertion holes penetrating the back plate of the studs. In this way, the reinforcing portion of Patent Document 1 is configured on the premise that the weak portion of the deformed stud has a pair of lips, and cannot be applied to weak portions that do not have a pair of lips. Therefore, there has been a demand for a technology that can reinforce weak portions with a simple configuration without being limited by the shape or arrangement of the studs themselves.

[0007] The present invention has been made to solve the above problems, and an object of the present invention is to provide a wall structure in which the weak parts of a deformed stud are reinforced with a simple structure. Another object of the present invention is to provide a deformed stud whose weak parts are reinforced. [Means for solving the problem]

[0008] A wall structure according to one aspect of the present invention includes a deformed stud, the deformed stud including a front portion to which a wall material is fixed, and a pair of side portions extending rearward from both widthwise ends of the front portion, and a weak portion in which at least a part of the side portion is missing in a part in the vertical direction. The wall structure is characterized in that a reinforcing plate is fixed to the front portion of the deformed stud at a position overlapping the weak portion. The reinforcing plate may be fixed to the front surface or the back surface of the front portion.

[0009] Preferably, the vertical dimension of the reinforcing plate is longer than the vertical length of the weak portion.

[0010] Preferably, the thickness dimension of the reinforcing plate is equal to or less than the plate thickness of the deformed stud.

[0011] Preferably, the reinforcing plate has a main body portion disposed along the entire width of the front surface portion, and a pair of flange portions extending rearward from both widthwise ends of the main body portion.

[0012] The flange may have a folded piece whose tip portion is folded back towards the main body.

[0013] It is desirable for the flange portion to come into surface contact with the side portion of the deformed stud.

[0014] Preferably, the reinforcing plate is disposed across the deformed stud and an adjacent stud adjacent to the deformed stud in the width direction. The adjacent stud may be either a deformed stud or a normal stud having no weak portion.

[0015] In a configuration in which the weakened portion includes a notch provided at the rear end of the side portion, it is also preferable that the special stud includes a bent portion in which the unnecessary portion constituting the notch is bent at a predetermined angle relative to the front end of the side portion. This makes it possible to improve the strength of the special stud by itself.

[0016] A deformed stud according to another aspect of the present invention includes a front portion to which a wall material is fixed, and a pair of side portions extending rearward from both widthwise ends of the front portion, and has a weak portion in a vertical portion of the side portion, the weak portion including a notch portion provided at the rear end portion of the side portion. The deformed stud is characterized in that the unnecessary portion constituting the notch portion includes a bent portion bent at a predetermined angle with respect to the front end portion of the side portion, and the weak portion is reinforced by this bent portion. Effect of the Invention

[0017] According to the present invention, weak portions of deformed studs can be reinforced with a simple structure. [Brief description of the drawings]

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

[0019] DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS An embodiment of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the drawings. In the drawings, the same or corresponding parts are designated by the same reference characters and their description will not be repeated.

[0020] <Outline of wall structure> 1 is a cross-sectional view showing a schematic configuration of a wall 1 according to the present embodiment. The width direction (left-right direction) of the wall 1 is indicated by an arrow A1. In describing the wall 1, the side of the living space S1 is referred to as the front (indicated by an arrow A2), and the opposite side is referred to as the rear. The front-to-rear direction of the wall 1 is also referred to as the depth direction. The wall 1 is, for example, a partition wall in an apartment building, and is disposed in a position that separates two living spaces S1 and S2.

[0021] The wall 1 includes a wall material 11 such as gypsum board arranged on the front living space S1 side, a number of studs 2 that secure the wall material 11, and a brace 4 arranged to interfere with the studs 2. The multiple studs 2 are aligned at a constant pitch (spaced apart from each other) along the width direction of the wall 1. The studs 2 are arranged away from the wall material 12 arranged on the rear living space S2 side. The wall material 12 is fixed to a number of studs 3. The space sandwiched between the front and rear wall materials 11, 12 is called an air layer S3.

[0022] The studs 2 are, for example, C-shaped steel studs, and are made of channel steel with lips. The studs 2 can be arranged in two ways: with the opening between the lips facing rearward (hereinafter referred to as the "weak axis arrangement"), and with the opening facing sideways (hereinafter referred to as the "strong axis arrangement"). In this embodiment, the former arrangement, i.e., the weak axis arrangement, is illustrated, but the strong axis arrangement may also be adopted. In this embodiment, the studs 2 on the front side and the studs 3 on the rear side are arranged in a staggered pattern, but they may be arranged so as to overlap in the front-to-rear direction (back to back). Alternatively, only the studs 2 may be arranged in a row inside the wall 1 (there may be no rear studs 3).

[0023] Based on the arrangement in this embodiment, the stud 2 includes a front portion 22 to which the wall material 11 is fixed, a pair of side portions 23, 23 extending rearward from both widthwise ends of the front portion 22, and lip portions 24, 24 formed by bending the tips of the pair of side portions 23, 23 inwardly.

[0024] As shown in Fig. 1, braces (diagonal members) 4 are provided in the air space S3 within the wall 1. The arrangement of the braces 4 is not particularly limited, but the upper and lower ends of the braces 4 are connected and fixed to structures including body columns 13 and beams (not shown). The braces 4 may be arranged in a V-shape between a pair of body columns 13, for example, as shown in Fig. 8 described below. In this case, the lower end of the brace 4 may be fixed to a beam, a base portion on the foundation, or the like.

[0025] As shown in Fig. 1, the position of the brace 4 in the front-to-rear direction of the wall 1 partially overlaps with the position of the stud 2, so as shown in Fig. 13, a notch 20 is provided in part of the stud 2 in the vertical direction to avoid interference with the brace 4. The notch 20 is a cut-out portion of the rear end of the stud 2. The stud 2 is an "irregular shaped stud" that has the notch 20 in part of the vertical direction.

[0026] The deformed stud 2 has, along the longitudinal direction (vertical direction), a basic portion 21a without a cutout portion 20, and a portion 21b where the cutout portion 20 is provided (hereinafter referred to as the "weak portion"). The majority of the deformed stud 2 is the basic portion 21a. The deformed stud 2 includes at least one weak portion 21b. The shape of the cutout portion 20 is, for example, rectangular when viewed from the side.

[0027] FIG. 14(A) shows a cross section of the basic portion 21a of the deformed stud 2, and FIG. 14(B) shows a cross section of the weak portion 21b of the deformed stud 2. The weak portion 21b is composed of a front portion 22 to which the wall material 11 is fixed, and a pair of short side portions 25, 25 extending rearward from both ends of the width direction of the front portion 22. The front-rear length of the short side portion 25 is shorter than the front-rear length of the side portion 23 of the basic portion 21a. Compared to the basic portion 21a, the weak portion 21b does not have a missing portion (a part of the side portion 23 and the lip portion 24) cut out as the cutout portion 20. The front-rear length of the short side portion 25 of the weak portion 21b is determined so that the clearance with the brace 4 is within a predetermined range (for example, 3 mm or more and 10 mm or less).

[0028] In the illustrated example, the front-rear lengths of the pair of short side portions 25, 25 are equal to each other, but they may be slightly different. In addition, when the deformed stud 2 is arranged in the strong axis, one of the pair of short side portions may be a lip portion.

[0029] When a load is applied to the deformed stud 2 in the out-of-plane direction, the weak portion 21b may not be able to withstand the load, and deformation such as bending may occur. In FIG. 13, the position of the front portion 22 after displacement due to deformation of the deformed stud 2 is shown by imaginary lines. In order to suppress such deformation of the deformed stud 2, it is possible to increase the plate thickness of the deformed stud 2 itself, but this is undesirable because it reduces the sound insulation performance of the wall 1. Therefore, in this embodiment, a reinforcing method for reinforcing the deformed stud 2 without changing the plate thickness of the deformed stud 2 will be described below.

[0030] <Method of reinforcing irregular shaped studs> (Embodiment 1) The method of reinforcing the deformed stud 2 in the first embodiment will be described with reference to Figures 2 and 3. Figures 2 and 3 are a side view and a cross-sectional view, respectively, of the deformed stud 2 in which the weak portion 21b has been reinforced.

[0031] In this embodiment, the deformed stud 2 is reinforced by fixing a reinforcing plate 5 to the weak portion 21b of the deformed stud 2. The reinforcing plate 5 is a flat metal plate (typically an iron plate) and is fixed in surface contact with the surface of the front portion 22. The planar shape of the reinforcing plate 5 is typically a vertically long rectangle. The reinforcing plate 5 can be fixed by an adhesive means such as double-sided tape or adhesive. It is desirable that the adhesive means be applied to substantially the entire range of the reinforcing plate 5 from the upper end to the lower end.

[0032] 2, the reinforcing plate 5 is disposed so as to cover the weak portion 21b from its upper end to its lower end. It is desirable that the vertical dimension L2 of the reinforcing plate 5 is longer than the vertical length L1 of the weak portion 21b, and that at least one of the upper end and the lower end of the reinforcing plate 5 is disposed so as to overlap the base portion 21a. This makes it possible to reinforce the entire weak portion 21b in the vertical direction.

[0033] As shown in Fig. 3, the reinforcing plate 5 is preferably disposed so as to cover the entire width of the weak portion 21b. This allows the entire weak portion 21b to be reinforced in the left-right direction. The left-right ends of the reinforcing plate 5 may extend laterally beyond the front surface portion 22. Alternatively, the width of the reinforcing plate 5 may be slightly shorter than the width of the weak portion 21b.

[0034] The thickness dimension T2 of the reinforcing plate 5 shown in Fig. 3 is sufficiently shorter than the front-rear length of the short side portion 25, and is desirably equal to or less than the plate thickness T1 of the deformed stud 2. The plate thickness T1 of the deformed stud 2 is, for example, 0.5 mm to 1 mm. Specifically, the thickness dimension T2 of the reinforcing plate 5 is 1 mm or less, and desirably 0.5 mm or less. This allows the front portion 22 of the deformed stud 2 to be fixed to the wall material 11 without any problems.

[0035] The wall 1 in this embodiment is provided with the deformed studs 2 whose weak parts 21b are reinforced by the reinforcing plate 5, and thus the strength of the wall 1 in the out-of-plane direction can be increased while having a simple structure (the reinforcing plate 5 is not shown in FIG. 1). The reinforcing plate 5 may be fixed to the back surface of the front part 22.

[0036] The cross-sectional shape of the reinforcing plate 5 is not limited to the linear shape (I-shape) as shown in Fig. 3. Other examples of the shape of the reinforcing plate 5 will be described below.

[0037] (Other examples of reinforcing plate shapes) 4 and 5 are diagrams showing another example shape of the reinforcing plate 5, and correspond to the above-mentioned FIGS. 2 and 3, respectively.

[0038] The reinforcing plate 5A shown in Figures 4 and 5 has a main body 51 disposed along the entire width of the front surface 22, and a pair of flanges 52, 52 extending rearward from both widthwise ends of the main body 51. The reinforcing plate 5A is formed by bending a single thin plate into a substantial U-shape (a U-shape in katakana) in the width direction. The reinforcing plate 5A has the flanges 52 perpendicular to the main body 51, thereby increasing the strength of the reinforcing plate 5A itself. Therefore, the weak portion 21b of the deformed stud 2 can be effectively reinforced.

[0039] As shown in FIG. 5, the flanges 52, 52 of the reinforcing plate 5A are preferably in surface contact with the pair of short side portions 25, 25 of the deformed stud 2. In this case, the front surface 22 of the weak portion 21b of the deformed stud 2 and the pair of short side portions 25, 25 are covered from three sides by the reinforcing plate 5A. The protruding length (front-rear length) of the flanges 52 is preferably equal to or greater than the front-rear length of the short side portion 25 (not shown). This restrains the entire weak portion 21b by the reinforcing plate 5A, thereby preventing or suppressing deformation of the weak portion 21b. As a result, the strength of the wall 1 equipped with the deformed stud 2 can be effectively improved.

[0040] At least one of the flange portions 52, 52 of the reinforcing plate 5A may be separated from the short side portions 25, 25 of the deformed stud 2. In addition, the reinforcing plate 5A having a substantially U-shaped cross section may be fixed to the inside of the weak portion 21b of the deformed stud 2.

[0041] Regardless of whether or not the flange portions 52, 52 contact the short side portions 25, 25 of the shaped stud 2, the flange portion 52 may have a folded piece 52a with the tip portion folded back toward the main body portion 51, as in the reinforcing plate 5B shown in Fig. 6. Fig. 6 is a cross-sectional view showing another example shape 2 of the reinforcing plate 5. The strength of the reinforcing plate 5B itself can be further improved by the reinforcing plate 5B having the folded piece 52a.

[0042] (Embodiment 2) A method of reinforcing the deformed stud 2 in the second embodiment will be described with reference to Figures 7 and 8. Figures 7 and 8 are a cross-sectional view and a front view, respectively, that show a schematic arrangement of a reinforcing plate 5C.

[0043] 7 and 8, the reinforcing plate 5C in this embodiment is disposed across the width of adjacent deformed studs 2, 2. The reinforcing plate 5C is made of a flat, thin plate with a width dimension greater than the distance between the deformed studs 2, 2 adjacent to each other in the width direction.

[0044] Since the brace 4 is a diagonal member, the notch position of one deformed stud 2 and the notch position of the other deformed stud 2 adjacent thereto are offset in the vertical direction. Therefore, when one end in the width direction of the reinforcing plate 5C (the end on the left side of the paper) is abutted against the weak portion 21b of one deformed stud 2, the other end in the width direction of the reinforcing plate 5C (the end on the right side of the paper) abuts (at least a part in the vertical direction) against the base portion 21a of the other deformed stud 2. In this case, the load on the weak portion 21b of one deformed stud 2 can be borne by the base portion 21a of the other deformed stud 2, so that the multiple deformed studs 2 aligned and arranged in the wall 1 can be effectively reinforced.

[0045] As shown in Fig. 8, two reinforcing plates 5C, 5C, which are vertically offset from each other, may be applied to the weak portion 21b (front surface portion 22) of a single deformed stud 2. In this case, it is preferable that the two reinforcing plates 5C, 5C are arranged with a gap between them. This can prevent a decrease in the sound insulation performance of the wall 1.

[0046] In addition, in a form not shown, a single reinforcing plate 5C may be in contact with the entire front surface portion 22 of the weak portion 21b of the deformed stud 2 on one side in the width direction and the entire front surface portion 22 of the basic portion 21a of the deformed stud 2 on the other side in the width direction.

[0047] In this case, similar to the reinforcing plates 5A, 5B shown in Figs. 5 and 6, the cross-sectional shape of the reinforcing plate 5C may be substantially U-shaped so as to surround the two deformed studs 2 from three sides.

[0048] (Embodiment 3) In the above-mentioned first and second embodiments, a method for reinforcing the weak portion 21b of the deformed stud 2 with a reinforcing plate has been described. In the present embodiment, a method for reinforcing the deformed stud 2 without using a reinforcing plate will be described.

[0049] A method of reinforcing the deformed stud 2 in the third embodiment will be described with reference to Fig. 9. Fig. 9 is a cross-sectional view showing a deformed stud 2A in which the weak portion 21b is reinforced, and shows the reinforcement structure of the deformed stud 2.

[0050] 9, the profile stud 2A includes a pair of bent portions 26, 26 bent inwardly with respect to the front ends of a pair of short side portions 25, 25. The bent portions 26 are formed from the portion that is cut off to form the cutout portion 20, i.e., the unnecessary portion. The unnecessary portion is formed from a portion (rear portion) of the side portion 23 and a portion corresponding to the lip portion 24, as explained in the description of the basic portion 21a.

[0051] The bent portion 26 is bent at a right angle to the short side portion 25. It is desirable that the bent portion 26 be provided over the entire height range of the cutout portion 20. In other words, it is desirable that the vertical length of the bent portion 26 be approximately equal to the vertical length of the short side portion 25.

[0052] In this way, the deformed stud 2A can increase the rigidity of the weak portion 21b by utilizing the unnecessary portion. The bent portion 26 may be provided only in a part of the height range of the cutout portion 20.

[0053] The pair of bent portions 26, 26 may overlap each other at their tip portions 26a, as in the profiled stud 2B in Fig. 10. In this case, the weak portion 21b of the profiled stud 2B has a rectangular closed cross-sectional shape formed by the front portion 22, the pair of short side portions 25, 25, and the pair of bent portions 26, 26, so that the rigidity of the weak portion 21b can be effectively increased. Also, in this case, as shown in Fig. 11, the tip portions 26a of the pair of bent portions 26, 26 may be engaged with each other by folding back or seaming.

[0054] In Fig. 9, an example is shown in which the bending angle of the pair of bent portions 26, 26 in the deformed stud 2A is approximately 90 degrees, but as shown in Fig. 12, it may be an acute angle less than 90 degrees. The deformed stud 2C shown in Fig. 12 has a pair of bent portions 26, 26 bent at an acute angle (for example, about 45 degrees) with respect to a pair of short side portions 25, 25. The tip of the bent portion 26 may contact the back surface of the front portion 22. In this case, the bent portion 26 functions as a rib that intersects the front portion 22 and the short side portion 25. This makes it possible to increase the section modulus of the weak portion 21b, and therefore to easily improve the strength of the weak portion 21b.

[0055] The deformed studs 2A (2B, 2C) in this embodiment may be combined with the reinforcing plates 5 (5A, 5B, 5C) shown in embodiment 1. This can sufficiently reduce the risk of the weak portions 21b buckling.

[0056] (Other embodiments) In the above embodiments, a method for reinforcing (reinforcing structure) for a stud 2 having a cutout portion 20 has been described, but the above-mentioned reinforcing method can be applied to a stud having a missing portion in a portion other than the front portion 22. Such a missing portion includes, for example, a through hole that passes through the normal-length side portion 23 in the plate thickness direction. Also, while the example has been shown in which the member interfering with the stud 2 is the brace 4, it may be a member other than the brace 4 (for example, a pipe, etc.).

[0057] In each of the above-described embodiments, the wall 1 is a partition wall, but the wall 1 is not limited to such an example and may be, for example, an exterior wall. Moreover, the wall 1 is not limited to a wall of a house and may be, for example, a wall of a nursing home.

[0058] The embodiments disclosed herein should be considered to be illustrative and not restrictive in all respects. The scope of the present invention is defined by the claims, not the above description, and is intended to include all modifications within the meaning and scope of the claims.
