[0026] Please refer to Figures 1, 2 and 3. Figure 1 is a perspective schematic view showing a fastening device 1000 according to a first embodiment of the present invention. Figure 2 is an exploded schematic view showing the fastening device 1000 according to the first embodiment of Figure 1. Figure 3 is another exploded schematic view showing the fastening device 1000 according to the first embodiment of Figure 1. The fastening device 1000 includes a case 1100, a spool 1200, a brake unit 1300, and a knob 1400.
[0027] The case 1100 includes an upper housing 1120 and a base 1110. The upper housing 1120 includes at least one protruding wing 1121 protruding upward, and the base 1110 is removably coupled to the upper housing 1120. The spool 1200 is housed in the case 1100 and has an axis X1 (shown in FIG. 4 ). The brake unit 1300 is located above the spool 1200 along the axis X1. The knob 1400 is provided to cover the upper housing 1120. At least a portion of the at least one protruding wing 1121 is higher than a bottom edge of the knob 1400.
[0028] With this, by making at least a portion of the protruding wing 1121 higher than the bottom edge of the knob 1400, it is possible to effectively prevent an external force from directly impacting the knob 1400 and loosening the string, thereby improving safety.
[0029] 2 and 3, the base 1110 may be an integral member and may include an annular wall 1111, a base flange 1112, four coupling holes 1113, and two mounting areas 1114. The annular wall 1111 is provided at the center of the base flange 1112 and connected to the upper housing 1120 to form a spool space capable of accommodating the spool 1200. The base flange 1112 has a substantially elliptical shape, and the two mounting areas 1114 may be located at both ends of the long axis of the base flange 1112, and may each include a radial mating groove. The four coupling holes 1113 may be provided at intervals in the annular wall 1111 and are used for coupling to the upper housing 1120.
[0030] The upper housing 1120 may include an inner ring assembly 1122 and an outer ring assembly 1123. The outer ring assembly 1123 surrounds the inner ring assembly 1122, and in this embodiment, the at least one protruding wing 1121 may be two, each connected to both sides of the outer ring assembly 1123. In addition, the upper housing 1120 may further include an upper opening, and each protruding wing 1121 may be higher than the upper opening.
[0031] Specifically, the inner ring assembly 1122 may be substantially annular, and the upper opening is located at the upper end of the inner ring assembly 1122. The upper housing 1120 may further include a plurality of meshing teeth 1124, a spacer 1125, four positioning legs 1126, and a plurality of inner teeth 1127. The spacer 1125 protrudes radially inward from the inner wall of the inner ring assembly 1122 to define an upper chamber, and the spacer 1125 may include a central through hole. The meshing teeth 1124 are located at the upper end of the inner ring assembly 1122 and face the upper chamber. The four positioning legs 1126 are located at the lower end of the inner ring assembly 1122 and protrude downward, and the four positioning legs 1126 are used to insert into the four coupling holes 1113, respectively, so that the inner ring assembly 1122 can be combined with the base 1110. The internal teeth 1127 are located on the inner wall of the inner ring assembly 1122, and are located below the spacer 1125, and can correspond to the spool space. The inner ring assembly 1122 may further include two engagement protrusions 1122a protruding outward along the radial direction and for engaging with the outer ring assembly 1123. In other embodiments, the number of engagement protrusions may be at least one and is not limited to the above disclosure.
[0032] The outer ring assembly 1123 may include two mounting flanges 1123b for assembly to the base 1110, and each of the protruding wings 1121 may protrude upward from each of the mounting flanges 1123b. Specifically, the outer ring assembly 1123 may include an annular portion 1123a, which may surround the inner ring assembly 1122, and the two protruding wings 1121 may extend upward and downward from both sides of the annular portion 1123a, respectively, to form a shield-like structure. Since the mounting flanges 1123b connect the bottom ends of the protruding wings 1121 and the annular portion 1123a, each of the protruding wings 1121 may be considered to extend upward from each of the mounting flanges 1123b. The mounting flanges 1123b may be used to accommodate the two mounting regions 1114. The outer ring assembly 1123 may further include two hook portions, which may protrude downward from a portion of the two protruding wings 1121 or protrude downward from the two mounting flanges 1123b, respectively, and each hook portion can be engaged with a joint groove of each mounting region 1114 so that the outer ring assembly 1123 is assembled to the base 1110. In this way, the base 1110 can provide a supporting force to the protruding wings 1121 and can help the protruding wings 1121 to withstand radial external forces.
[0033] Further, each protruding wing 1121 includes an upper portion 1121a (shown in FIG. 4) and a lower portion 1121b (shown in FIG. 4), the outer side of each upper portion 1121a includes an upper radially outermost edge (no symbol), the outer side of each lower portion 1121b includes a lower radially outermost edge (no symbol), and the distance D1 (shown in FIG. 4) between each upper radially outermost edge and the axis X1 is equal to or less than the distance D2 (shown in FIG. 4) between each lower radially outermost edge and the axis X1. Making the lower portion 1121b of the protruding wing 1121 wider than the upper portion 1121a or equal to the width of the upper portion 1121a can help to strengthen the structure and improve the stability of protection. Here, it is particularly described that although two protruding wings 1121 are exemplified in the first embodiment, in other embodiments, there may be only one protruding wing, and the present invention is not limited thereto.
[0034] The spool 1200 is housed in a spool space defined by the inner wheel assembly 1122 and the base 1110, and includes an upper wheel portion 1210, a lower wheel portion 1220, and four pivots (not numbered), forming a winding rail between the upper wheel portion 1210 and the lower wheel portion 1220, so that the string can be wound around the winding rail. The pivots may be provided on the upper surface of the upper wheel portion 1210.
[0035] The fastening device 1000 may further include a transmission group 1500 including a sun gear 1510, four planetary gears 1520, and a transmission gear 1530. The transmission group 1500 is also located in the spool space, and the four planetary gears 1520 are pivoted on four pivots, respectively, and can mesh with the internal teeth 1127, and the sun gear 1510 is located between the four planetary gears 1520 and meshes with the planetary gears 1520. The transmission gear 1530 can mesh with the sun gear 1510 at one end and with the brake unit 1300 at the other end.
[0036] The brake unit 1300 may include a brake ring (no reference number), three ratchet arms 1310, three elastic arms 1320, and three guides 1330. The brake ring includes teeth that mesh with a transmission gear 1530, and each ratchet arm 1310 is provided on the brake ring and extends along the circumferential direction of the brake ring, and each guide 1330 protrudes radially outward from the brake ring and is located at a proximal end of each ratchet arm 1310. Each elastic arm 1320 extends circumferentially from one side of each guide 1330 and protrudes radially outward from each ratchet arm 1310, and the length of each elastic arm 1320 in the circumferential direction is shorter than the length of each ratchet arm 1310 in the circumferential direction. Each ratchet arm 1310 may correspond to a mating tooth 1124 and disengage from the mating tooth 1124 in a clamping direction A1 and engage with the mating tooth 1124 in a release direction A2.
[0037] The knob 1400 may include a cover body 1410, a cover portion 1420, three guide rails 1430, and three pressing portions 1440. The cover body 1410 is used to cover the inner wheel assembly 1122 and includes an inner surface, the three guide rails 1430 are provided at intervals on the inner surface, and the three pressing portions 1440 are also provided at intervals on the inner surface, with each pressing portion 1440 adjacent to the upper apex of each guide rail 1430. Each guide portion 1330 is inserted so as to protrude corresponding to each guide rail 1430, and can be guided by each guide rail 1430. Each pressing portion 1440 is inserted so as to protrude into a gap between each guide portion 1330 and each elastic arm 1320, and may include a convex tooth corresponding to the convex tooth on the elastic arm 1320. The cover portion 1420 can cover the cover body 1410.
[0038] Please refer to Figures 4 and 5. Figure 4 is a schematic cross-sectional view showing the fastening device 1000 according to the first embodiment of Figure 1, and Figure 5 is another schematic cross-sectional view showing the fastening device 1000 according to the first embodiment of Figure 1. The fastening device 1000 may further include a connection unit 1600 that penetrates the spool 1200 and is connected to the knob 1400 and does not directly contact the base 1110. Specifically, the connection unit 1600 may include a central shaft 1620 and a screw member 1610, where the central shaft 1620 can penetrate upward into the spool 1200, and the screw member 1610 can penetrate downward into the knob 1400 and lock onto the central shaft 1620, thus connecting the knob 1400 and the spool 1200. More specifically, when the upper housing 1120 is not joined to the base 1110, the transmission group 1500 and the spool 1200 may be first inserted into the upper housing 1120, and the central shaft 1620 may be inserted into the spool 1200 and the transmission group 1500, and then passed through the central through-hole of the spacer 1125, and the central shaft 1620 may further include a position control segment to prevent the spool 1200 from falling. The brake unit 1300 may be inserted into the upper chamber, and then covered with the cover body 1410, and the screw member 1610 may be locked to the central shaft 1620, and thus the elements other than the base 1110 may be first assembled together, and then the base 1110 may be attached.
[0039] A user can tighten the lace by rotating the knob 1400 in a tightening direction A1. As shown in FIG. 4, at this time, the brake unit 1300 is in a first position, and the user can rotate the knob 1400 in the tightening direction A1, and the pressing part 1440 presses one side of the guide part 1330, and the ratchet arm 1310 can be separated from the meshing teeth 1124 in the tightening direction A1, so that the knob 1400 can drive the brake unit 1300 to rotate the transmission group 1500 and the spool 1200 in conjunction with each other to tighten the lace. When the user stops rotating the knob 1400, the ratchet arm 1310 meshes with the meshing teeth 1124 and prevents the spool 1200 from rotating in the releasing direction A2, thus tightening the lace and preventing the lace from being released.
[0040] 5, the user rotates the knob 1400 in the release direction A2, at this time, the pressing portion 1440 presses the elastic arm 1320, and when the force exceeds the threshold of the elastic arm 1320, it can distort the elastic arm 1320, thus allowing the knob 1400 to rotate relative to the brake unit 1300, and the guide portion 1330 is guided by the guide rail 1430 to raise the brake unit 1300 to the second position. At this time, the transmission gear 1530 is separated from the sun gear 1510, and the spool 1200 is not affected by the brake unit 1300 and can release the string.
[0041] Please refer to Figures 6 and 7. Figure 6 is a perspective schematic view showing an outer ring assembly 2123 and two protruding wings 2121 of a fastening device according to a second embodiment of the present invention, and Figure 7 is another perspective schematic view showing the outer ring assembly 2123 and two protruding wings 2121 of the fastening device according to the second embodiment of Figure 6. The fastening device of the second embodiment may be similar to the fastening device 1000 of the first embodiment, but since the structure of the outer ring assembly 2123 is slightly different, only the outer ring assembly 2123 and the protruding wings 2121 connected to the outer ring assembly 2123 are shown in the drawings.
[0042] In detail, the outer ring assembly 2123 may include two mating parts 2123c that are detachably connected to each other, and each protruding wing 2121 is connected to each mating part 2123c. The outer ring assembly 2123 may further include at least one bump 2129 that protrudes inward from a lower edge of at least one of the two mating parts 2123c, and the at least one bump 2129 is used to couple to an inner ring assembly (not shown in the second embodiment) or a base (not shown in the second embodiment).
[0043] Each of the combination parts 2123c may have a substantially semicircular shape, and the outer ring assembly 2123 may further include two assembly parts 2123d, each assembly part 2123d being connected to one end of each of the combination parts 2123c, and each protruding wing 2121 being connected to the other end of each of the combination parts 2123c and including a groove. There may be two bumps 2129, each located at the central segment of each of the combination parts 2123c. During assembly, the two combination parts 2123c may surround the inner ring assembly, and the two bumps 2129 may be engaged with the inner ring assembly, and each of the assembly parts 2123d may be inserted into each groove so as to protrude, and thus the two combination parts 2123c may be assembled using a screw member and a nut.

[0045] The case includes a base 3110 and an upper housing 3120, and the upper housing 3120 includes two protruding wings 3121 and an inner ring assembly 3122. The inner ring assembly 3122 includes an annular body and a convex ring 3122a, and the convex ring 3122a is connected to the annular body and is used to connect to the protruding wings 3121, and the convex ring 3122a can abut against the annular wall of the base 3110. Furthermore, a gap may be formed between the inner surface of the convex ring 3122a and the outer surface of the annular body, and when the knob 3400 is provided to cover the inner ring assembly 3122, a part of the knob 3400 may be inserted into the gap. In the third embodiment, the distance D1 (shown in FIG. 11) between each upper radially outermost edge and the axis X1 is equal to the distance D2 (shown in FIG. 11) between each lower radially outermost edge and the axis X1.
[0046] The inner ring assembly 3122 may further include four position limiting arms 3128, which are located on a partition wall (not numbered) and arranged at intervals around the central through hole. The brake unit 3300 can be positionally limited by the position limiting arms 3128 when placed in the upper chamber.
[0047] The brake unit 3300 may include a brake ring, three ratchet arms 3310, and a plurality of drive teeth 3340, the drive teeth 3340 being located at the upper end of the brake ring. The knob 3400 may include an inner cover body 3410, an outer cover body 3420, a plurality of knob teeth 3450, and a boss 3460. The inner cover body 3410 covers the inner ring assembly 3122, a part of which is inserted into the gap between the convex ring 3122a and the annular body, and the outer cover body 3420 covers the outside of the inner cover body 3410. The knob teeth 3450 are located on the inner top surface of the inner cover body 3410, and the boss 3460 protrudes downward from the inner top surface to be coupled with the drive hole 3230 of the spool 3200, and the brake unit 3300 and the spool 3200 can be interlocked by rotating the knob 3400 in the tightening direction A1.
[0048] The connection unit 3600 may include a positioning shaft 3610, a screw member 3620, and a nut 3630.
