AI Technical Summary
In existing positioning structures for vehicle members, the narrow clearance between the knock pin and the knock hole can cause interference when the timing chain cover is removed, leading to potential damage and increased load on the knock pin.
A positioning structure featuring a plurality of positioning pins on the vehicle member and corresponding elongated positioning holes on the cover member, where the major axis of the elongated holes aligns with the peeling direction of the cover member, preventing interference during removal.
This configuration ensures smooth exit of the positioning pin from the hole during cover member removal, preventing interference and potential damage, and allowing for efficient detachment without excessive load on the positioning pins.

Summary of the Invention
Problems to be Solved by the Invention
[0004] In the positioning structure of Patent Document 1, since the clearance between the knock pin and the knock hole is narrow, when the timing chain cover is removed so as to be peeled off from the cylinder block, the timing chain cover may get caught on the knock pin, and a large load may act on the knock pin. This specification provides a technology capable of suppressing interference of the positioning pin with the cover member when the cover member is removed from the vehicle member.
Means for Solving the Problems
[0005] In a first aspect of the present technology, a positioning structure for a cover member attached to a vehicle member may include a plurality of positioning pins provided on the vehicle member and a plurality of positioning holes provided on the cover member, the plurality of positioning holes being into which the plurality of positioning pins are respectively inserted. Each of the plurality of positioning holes may be an elongated hole whose major axis extends in a direction in which the cover member peels off when the cover member is removed from the vehicle member. The major axis of at least one of the plurality of elongated holes may not be parallel to the major axis of the other elongated holes.
[0006] According to this configuration, when the cover member is removed so as to be peeled off from the vehicle member, the positioning pin smoothly exits from the positioning hole, so that it is possible to prevent the cover member from being caught by the positioning pin. Therefore, when the cover member is removed from the vehicle member, it is possible to prevent the positioning pin from interfering with the cover member.
[0007] In a second aspect, in the first aspect, the height of the positioning pin inserted into the positioning hole may be higher than the height of the positioning hole in the thickness direction of the cover member.
[0008] In a third aspect, in the first or second aspect, the cover member may include a gripping portion provided at a position overlapping the major axis of the elongated hole.

Modes for Carrying Out the Invention
[0010] As shown in FIGS. 1 to 4, the positioning structure 2 of the embodiment is a structure for positioning the cover member 6 with respect to the vehicle member 4. The vehicle member 4 and the cover member 6 are mounted on, for example, an electric vehicle (e.g., a hybrid vehicle or an electric vehicle).
[0011] The vehicle member 4 is, for example, a case for housing a housing (e.g., vehicle parts such as a battery). The type of the vehicle member 4 is not particularly limited. The vehicle member 4 includes a main body 10 and a plurality of positioning pins 12 provided on the main body 10. The positioning pins 12 are provided at the upper end portion of the main body 10 and project upward from the upper end portion of the main body 10. Further, the positioning pins 12 are provided, for example, in the vicinity of the outer peripheral edge portion of the main body 10. The plurality of positioning pins 12 are arranged at intervals along the outer peripheral edge portion of the main body 10.
[0012] The cover member 6 is configured to be detachable with respect to the vehicle member 4. When the cover member 6 is attached to the vehicle member 4, it covers the upper end portion of the main body 10 of the vehicle member 4. The cover member 6 includes a main body 30 and a plurality of positioning holes 32 provided on the main body 30.
[0013] The positioning holes 32 penetrate the main body 30 in the thickness direction of the cover member 6. The positioning holes 32 are provided at positions corresponding to the positioning pins 12 of the vehicle member 4. The positioning holes 32 are provided, for example, in the vicinity of the outer peripheral edge portion of the main body 30. The plurality of positioning holes 32 are arranged at intervals along the outer peripheral edge portion of the main body 30. When the cover member 6 is attached to the vehicle member 4, each of the plurality of positioning pins 12 of the vehicle member 4 is inserted into each of the plurality of positioning holes 32 of the cover member 6. The positioning structure 2 includes a plurality of positioning pins 12 provided on the vehicle member 4 and a plurality of positioning holes 32 provided on the cover member 6.
[0014] The height h12 of the positioning pin 12 inserted into the positioning hole 32 is higher than the height h32 of the positioning hole 32 in the thickness direction of the cover member 6 (see Fig. 3). When the cover member 6 is attached to the vehicle member 4, the upper end portion of the positioning pin 12 protrudes above the upper end portion of the positioning hole 32.
[0015] The positioning hole 32 of the cover member 6 is configured as an elongated hole having a major axis X and a minor axis Y (see Fig. 2). The elongated hole (positioning hole 32) is a hole that extends longer in the direction of the major axis X than in the direction of the minor axis Y. The elongated hole (positioning hole 32) is configured such that the width in the direction of the major axis X is wider than the width in the direction of the minor axis Y.
[0016] The positioning hole 32 of the cover member 6 is configured as an elongated hole in which the major axis X extends in the direction in which the cover member 6 peels off when the cover member 6 is removed from the vehicle member 4. For example, focusing on any one of the plurality of positioning holes 32a shown in Fig. 2, the major axis Xa of the positioning hole 32a (elongated hole) extends along the peeling direction Pa when the cover member 6 is removed. Also, the major axis Xa of at least one of the plurality of elongated holes (positioning holes 32) of the cover member 6 (for example, the positioning hole 32a) is not parallel to the major axis X of the other elongated holes (positioning holes 32). For example, the major axis Xa of the positioning hole 32a (elongated hole) extends so as to intersect the major axis X of the other positioning hole 32 closest to the positioning hole 32a.
[0017] The cover member 6 further includes a plurality of gripping portions 34 provided on the outer peripheral edge portion of the main body 30. The plurality of gripping portions 34 are arranged at intervals along the outer peripheral edge portion of the main body 30. The cover member 6 is removed, for example, so as to be peeled off from the vehicle member 4 while one of the gripping portions 34 is gripped by a user (see Fig. 4).
[0018] The plurality of gripping portions 34 are each provided in the vicinity of the plurality of positioning holes 32. Each gripping portion 34 is provided at a position overlapping the major axis X of the positioning hole 32 (elongated hole) in its vicinity. For example, focusing on any one of the plurality of gripping portions 34a shown in FIG. 2, the gripping portion 34a is provided at a position overlapping the major axis Xa of the positioning hole 32a (elongated hole) closest to the gripping portion 34a.
[0019] According to the positioning structure 2 having the above configuration, when the cover member 6 is removed so as to be peeled off from the vehicle member 4, the positioning pin 12 smoothly exits from the positioning hole 32, so that it is possible to suppress the cover member 6 from being caught by the positioning pin 12. Therefore, when the cover member 6 is removed from the vehicle member 4, it is possible to suppress the positioning pin 12 from interfering with the cover member 6. This configuration is particularly effective when the height h12 of the positioning pin 12 inserted into the positioning hole 32 is higher than the height h32 of the positioning hole 32 in the thickness direction of the cover member 6.
[0020] Also, in the configuration where the gripping portion 34 is provided at a position overlapping the major axis X of the positioning hole 32 (elongated hole), when the user grips the gripping portion 34 and removes the cover member 6 from the vehicle member 4, the cover member 6 is peeled off in the direction along the major axis X of the positioning hole 32 (elongated hole), so the above configuration is particularly effective.
