Description

Technical Field

[0001] The present invention relates to a chair, and particularly to a backrest reclining structure.

Background Art

[0002] In a conventional backrest reclining structure, it is common to provide a reclining adjustment mechanism at the bottom end of the backrest and the rear side of the seat. The reclining adjustment mechanism pulls the bottom end of the backrest by a spring, generates an elastic reclining action on the backrest by the elastic force of the spring, drives a sliding member or a swinging member by a screw shaft, and adjusts the reclining width of the backrest by the spring.

[0003] However, since the conventional reclining adjustment mechanism includes many members such as a spring, a screw shaft, and a sliding member or a swinging member, its structure is not only complicated and the manufacturing cost is high, but also it takes a lot of time for assembly. Further, when the reclining operation of the backrest is repeated many times, the screw shaft may become loose, which may adversely affect the elasticity of the adjusted backrest and impair the comfort when sitting on the chair.

Summary of the Invention

Problems to be Solved by the Invention

[0004] The main object of the present invention is to provide a backrest reclining structure that can appropriately bend the backrest and recline it backward, has a simple structure, can reduce the manufacturing cost, and can shorten the assembly time.

Effects of the Invention

[0005] In the backrest reclining structure of the present invention, an elastic body is disposed in an elongated hole of a backrest support, a notch is formed on the rear side of the backrest support, a bump provided on the elastic body is positioned in the notch, and a position restricting structure is provided above the notch on the rear side of the backrest support. With such a structure, when the user leans against the backrest board of the chair, a pressing force is generated to press the backrest support, causing the backrest support to bend at the notch. At the same time, due to the position restricting structure of the backrest support, the bending angle of the backrest support is restricted to an appropriate angle. When the user raises the body and the pressing force on the backrest support disappears, the backrest support returns to its original state due to the elastic force of the elastic body. In this way, the present invention can improve the sitting comfort of the chair, reduce the manufacturing cost of the backrest reclining structure, and shorten the assembly time with a simple backrest reclining structure.

Modes for Carrying Out the Invention

[0007] First, refer to FIGS. 1 and 2. As shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, the backrest reclining structure according to an embodiment of the present invention is composed of two backrest supports 1, two elastic bodies 2, two fixing pieces 3, and a plurality of locking members 4.

[0008] The two backrest supports 1 are made of plastic such as polypropylene. Referring also to FIG. 3, the backrest support 1 has elongated holes 11 formed longitudinally and penetrating horizontally on both the left and right sides of the backrest support 1. A notch 12 is formed on the rear side of the backrest support 1. The notch 12 is located at the central portion of the elongated hole 11 and communicates with the elongated hole 11. A position regulating hole 13 is formed above the notch 12 formed on the rear side of the backrest support 1, and a fixing hole 14 is formed below. Referring also to FIGS. 4 and 5, the position regulating hole 13 is a longitudinally extending groove hole. The position regulating hole 13 and the fixing hole 14 communicate with the elongated hole 11. An inclined angle (θ) inclined 12 degrees obliquely forward upward is formed on the upper end hole wall of the position regulating hole 13, and a backrest plate assembling portion 15 is provided above the elongated hole 11 of the backrest support 1. A backrest plate 5 is attached between the backrest plate assembling portions 15 of the two backrest supports 1. A seat assembling portion 16 is provided at the bottom end of the backrest support 1. An armrest 17 extending forward is connected to the upper end of the backrest support 1.

[0009] The two elastic bodies 2 are thermoplastic elastomers (TPE). The two elastic bodies 2 are respectively combined corresponding to the elongated holes 11 of the two backrest supports 1. On the rear side of the elastic body 2, bumps 21 corresponding to the notches 12 on the rear side of the backrest support 1 are formed. A chamber 22 is formed in the elastic body 2. The chamber port 221 of the chamber 22 is located at the bottom end of the elastic body 2. Perforations 23 are respectively formed above and below the bump 21 on the rear side of the elastic body 2. The perforations 23 communicate with the chamber 22. The two perforations 23 of the elastic body 2 are respectively located corresponding to the position regulating hole 13 and the fixing hole 14 of the backrest support 1.

[0010] The two fixing pieces 3 are metal plates and are accommodated in the chambers 22 of the two elastic bodies through the chamber ports 221 formed at the bottom ends of the two elastic bodies 2. Two locking holes 31 are formed on the fixing piece 3. The positions of the two locking holes 31 respectively correspond to the positions of the two perforations 23 of the elastic body 2.

[0011] The plurality of locking members 4 are bolts. The plurality of locking members 4 are respectively inserted through the position regulating holes 13 and the fixing holes 14 of the two backrest supports 1, and are inserted through the two perforations 23 of the elastic body 2 corresponding to the positions of the position regulating holes 13 and the fixing holes 14, and are screwed and fixed to the two locking holes 31 of the fixing pieces 3 corresponding to the positions of the two perforations 23 of the elastic body 2.

[0012] When actually assembling, the backrest plate 5 is installed between the two backrest supports 1, both sides of the backrest plate 5 are combined with the back plate assembling parts 15 of the two backrest supports 1, and the seat assembling parts 16 provided at the bottom ends of the two backrest supports 1 are connected to the seat to form a chair structure.

[0013] When a user sits on the chair of the present invention and leans on the backrest plate 5 with the user's back, as shown in FIGS. 6 and 7, a pressing acting force is generated to press the backrest plate 5 backward, and the combined backrest support 1 is interlocked and bent backward. Since the notch 12 is provided on the rear side of the backrest support 1, when the backrest support 1 receives a force, it easily bends at the notch 12. At this time, the elastic body 2 and the bump 21 of the elastic body 2 provided in the elongated hole 11 and the notch 12 of the backrest support 1 are compressed, and accordingly, the backrest support 1 continues to bend, and the locking member 4 inserted into the position regulating hole 13 is locked by the upper end hole wall of the position regulating hole 13 of the backrest support 1. When the inclination angle of the upper end hole wall of the position regulating hole 13 is 12 degrees, the maximum reclining angle of the backrest support 1 can be limited to 12 degrees. In this way, the backrest support 1 can be set to an appropriate reclining angle, so that the comfort level when sitting on the chair can be improved.

[0014] When the user raises their body and their back leaves the backrest plate 5, the acting force that was pressing the backrest plate 5 backward disappears. The compressed elastic body 2 and the bumps 21 of the elastic body 2 return to their original states due to the restoring force, generating an acting force that pushes the backrest support 1 in the opposite direction, and the backrest support 1 returns to its original state due to the restoring force. In this way, with a simple structure, the present invention can generate an elastic force on the backrest to obtain a reclining effect, reduce manufacturing costs, and shorten the assembly time. Also, it can improve the problem that the screw shaft loosens in the conventional backrest reclining structure, which adversely affects the elastic force of the backrest.

[0015] When the user sitting on the chair raises their body, they place both hands on the armrests 17 connected to the two backrest supports 1 and apply force to push down the armrests 17. However, since the metal fixing piece 3 and the plurality of locking members 4 are arranged inside the elastic body 2, the structural strength of the backrest support 1 is high. With such a structure, the backrest support 1 can be prevented from being pushed down by the force received from the armrests 17 and accidentally bending forward, thus enhancing the comfort and safety when sitting on the chair.

[0016] As can be seen from the above, the backrest reclining structure of the present invention has the following advantages (1) to (3). (1) The backrest support has an elongated hole. A notch is formed at the position of the elongated hole on the rear side of the backrest support, and an elastic body is installed in the elongated hole and the notch. When the user leans on the backrest and applies force to the backrest support, it bends at the notch. When the user raises their body and no force is applied to the backrest support, the backrest support returns to its original state due to the biasing force of the elastic body. (2) Above the notch formed on the rear side of the backrest support, a vertically grooved position regulating hole is formed, and a locking member is inserted through the position regulating hole. Therefore, when the backrest support is bent until the locking member is locked up to the upper hole wall of the position regulating hole, the backrest support is positioned at an appropriate bending angle, thus enhancing the sitting comfort of the chair. (3) Since the metal fixing piece is disposed within the elastic body, even if a user applies force to push down the armrest, the structural strength of the backrest support is high due to the fixing piece and the plurality of locking members. Therefore, it can prevent the backrest support from bending forward inadvertently, and enhance the comfort and safety when sitting on the chair.
