Summary of the Invention
Problems to be Solved by the Invention
[0004] However, in the conventional waterproof structure, the packing may be twisted when the packing is installed. And if the packing is twisted in this way, the packing will not deform sufficiently when the front case and the rear case are assembled. Therefore, a situation may occur in which the waterproof performance of the case body deteriorates.
[0005] Therefore, the present invention has been made in view of the above problems, and aims to provide a waterproof structure in a case body that can surely exhibit high waterproof performance without twisting the packing when the packing is installed.
Means for Solving the Problems
[0006] To achieve the above object, the present invention provides a waterproof structure in a case body formed by assembling a front case opening rearward and a rear case opening forward. Along the outer peripheral portion of either one of the front case and the rear case, a concave groove is provided around the circumference, and a packing formed in a frame shape is installed in the concave groove. On the other hand, along the outer peripheral portion of the other case, a pressing rib is provided that protrudes toward one case side and crushes the packing as it is assembled to one case. Further, along either the inner peripheral edge or the outer peripheral edge of the packing, a twist prevention wall protruding toward the other case side is provided, and the packing is installed in a state where the twist prevention wall abuts against the inner surface of the concave groove.
Effect of the Invention
[0007] According to the present invention, regarding the packing installed in the concave groove provided along the outer peripheral portion of either one of the front case and the rear case, a twist prevention wall protruding toward the other case side is provided along either the inner peripheral edge or the outer peripheral edge of the packing, and the packing is installed in a state where the twist prevention wall abuts against the inner surface of the concave groove. Therefore, when installing the packing, the packing is not twisted, and high waterproof performance can be surely exhibited.

[0011] The surveillance camera 1 includes a camera device 2 having a camera unit 4 and a microphone unit 5, and a communication device 3 for transmitting and receiving the video imaged by the camera unit 4 between the camera device 2 and other devices. The communication device 3 is connected to the rear side of the camera device 2 via an angle adjustment mechanism unit 6. And the posture of the camera device 2 with respect to the communication device 3 can be adjusted by rotation about the vertical direction axis and rotation about the horizontal direction axis in the angle adjustment mechanism unit 6. Incidentally, such a surveillance camera 1 is used by installing the rear surface of the communication device 3 on an installation surface such as a wall surface.
[0012] Here, the waterproof structure in the main body case 10 of the camera device 2 which is the main part of the present invention will be described. The camera device 2 includes a main body case 10 formed by assembling a front case 11 and a rear case 21. Inside the main body case 10, a camera (not shown), a speaker (not shown), a control board (not shown) for controlling their operations, etc. are installed. The front case 11 is formed in a box shape that opens rearward, and has a front plate 12 that is a plate body substantially rectangular in front view, and an outer peripheral wall 13 that stands upright rearward along the upper, lower, left, and right edges of the front plate 12. Also, on the rear surface of the front plate 12, at a location that is separated inward by a predetermined width from the outer peripheral wall 13, an inner peripheral wall 14 that stands upright rearward so as to face the outer peripheral wall 13 is provided all around. That is, the upper inner peripheral portion 14a of the inner peripheral wall 14 is provided at a location that is separated downward by a predetermined width from the upper outer peripheral portion 13a of the outer peripheral wall 13, and the left inner peripheral portion 14b of the inner peripheral wall 14 is provided at a location that is separated rightward by a predetermined width from the left outer peripheral portion 13b of the outer peripheral wall 13. Also, the lower inner peripheral portion 14c of the inner peripheral wall 14 is provided at a location that is separated upward by a predetermined width from the lower outer peripheral portion 13c of the outer peripheral wall 13, and the right inner peripheral portion 14d of the inner peripheral wall 14 is provided at a location that is separated leftward by a predetermined width from the right outer peripheral portion 13d of the outer peripheral wall 13.
[0013] Note that the inner peripheral wall 14 protrudes rearward more than the outer peripheral wall 13. Also, positioning portions 16, 16 into which positioning protrusions 34, 34 of a packing 31 described later can be fitted are provided on the upper inner peripheral portion 14a and the lower inner peripheral portion 14c of the inner peripheral wall 14, respectively. On the other hand, on the lower outer peripheral portion 13c of the outer peripheral wall 13, notches 17, 17 that are cut out forward to form drain holes for discharging water droplets that have entered the concave groove 15 are provided.
[0014] Also, the location between the outer peripheral wall 13 and the inner peripheral wall 14 is a concave groove 15 surrounded by the inner surface of the outer peripheral wall 13, the outer surface of the inner peripheral wall 14, and the rear surface of the front plate 12. This concave groove 15 having a concave shape forward is formed continuously along the outer periphery of the front plate 12. And in the concave groove 15, a packing 31 for preventing water from entering the main body case 10 from the gap between the front case 11 and the rear case 21, particularly inside the inner peripheral wall 14, is installed.
[0015] The packing 31 is formed in a rectangular frame shape that can be fitted over the entire concave groove 15, and includes a packing body 32 that connects the upper side portion, both left and right side portions, and the lower side portion in series, and an anti-twist wall 33 that stands upright rearward and is provided along the inner peripheral edge of the packing body 32. The cross-section in the direction orthogonal to the extending direction of the packing body 32 is substantially rectangular and can be accommodated in the concave groove 15 as shown in FIGS. 7 and 8, and the width from the outer peripheral edge to the inner peripheral edge is slightly shorter than the width of the concave groove 15. Further, positioning projections 34, 34 that can be fitted into the positioning portions 16, 16 are provided on the upper side portion and the lower side portion of the packing body 32, respectively. Furthermore, cut portions 35, 35... are provided at positions corresponding to the reinforcing ribs 24, 24... described later in the anti-twist wall 33 to avoid interference with the reinforcing ribs 24, 24... when the rear case 21 is assembled.
[0016] The rear case 21 is formed in a box shape that opens forward, and has a back plate 22 and an outer peripheral wall 23 that stands upright forward along the outer periphery of the back plate. A plurality of reinforcing ribs 24, 24... that project inward of the rear case 21 are extended in the front-rear direction on the inner surface of the outer peripheral wall 23, suppressing deformation of the rear case 21 such as warping of the outer peripheral wall 23. Further, a pressing rib 25 that projects further forward is provided at the tip of the outer peripheral wall 23, and the pressing rib 25 is a rib that can enter into the concave groove 15 when assembled to the front case 11, and is provided continuously along the outer peripheral wall 23 without interruption.
[0017] To assemble the waterproof structure in the main body case 10 as described above, first, while fitting the positioning protrusions 34, 34 into the corresponding positioning portions 16, 16, the anti-twist wall 33 is placed along the outer surface of the inner peripheral wall 14 of the front case 11, and the packing main body 32 is stored in the groove 15 from the rear of the front case 11, thereby installing the packing 31 in the front case 11. Next, with respect to the front case 11 in which the packing 31 is installed in this way, the rear case 21 is assembled while inserting the pressing rib 25 into the groove 15, and the assembly of the waterproof structure is completed. And in such an assembled state, the packing main body 32 is crushed and deformed in the groove 15 by the pressing rib 25, and the outer peripheral edge of the packing main body 32 and the inner surface of the outer peripheral wall 13 are in close contact (FIGS. 7 and 8), etc., so that the gap between the front case 11 and the rear case 21 in the groove 15 is filled. Also, the tips of the reinforcing ribs 24, 24... enter into the cut portion 35, and interference between the reinforcing ribs 24, 24... and the packing 31 is avoided (FIG. 8).
[0018] According to the waterproof structure in the main body case 10 having the above configuration, with respect to the packing 31 installed in the groove 15 provided along the outer peripheral portion of the front case 11, an anti-twist wall 33 protruding rearward along the inner peripheral edge of the packing 31 is provided, and the anti-twist wall 33 is installed in a state of being in contact with the outer surface of the inner peripheral wall 14 constituting the inner surface of the groove 15. Therefore, when the packing 31 is installed, the packing 31 is not twisted, and high waterproof performance can be surely exhibited.
[0019] Also, since the positioning protrusions 34, 34 are provided on the upper side portion and the lower side portion of the packing 31, and the positioning portions 16, 16 into which the positioning protrusions 34, 34 can be fitted are provided on the upper inner peripheral portion 14a and the lower inner peripheral portion 14c of the inner peripheral wall 14, respectively, the installation work of the packing 31 can be performed very simply, and the packing 31 does not shift in position after installation, and extremely high waterproof performance can be surely exhibited.
[0020] Furthermore, the cross-section in the direction orthogonal to the stretching direction of the packing body 32 is made into a substantially rectangular shape that can be accommodated in the concave groove 15, and the width from the outer peripheral edge to the inner peripheral edge is slightly shorter than the width of the concave groove 15. By crushing such a packing body 32 in the concave groove 15 by the pressing rib 25, the outer peripheral edge of the packing body 32 and the inner surface of the outer peripheral wall 13 can be brought into close contact, and higher waterproof performance can be exhibited.
[0021] Note that the waterproof structure in the case body according to the present invention is not limited to the aspects of the above-described embodiment at all. Not only the overall configuration of the case body but also the configuration related to the packing and the like can be appropriately changed as necessary without departing from the gist of the present invention.
[0022] For example, in the above-described embodiment, the anti-twist wall is provided along the inner peripheral edge of the packing, but it is also possible to provide the anti-twist wall along the outer peripheral edge of the packing. Also, in the above-described embodiment, the concave groove is provided around the outer peripheral portion of the front case. However, there is no problem even if the concave groove is provided around the outer peripheral portion of the rear case. In that case, the packing will be provided with an anti-twist wall that protrudes forward.
[0023] Furthermore, in the above-described embodiment, a series of anti-twist walls are provided along the inner peripheral edge of the packing, but there is no problem even if the anti-twist walls are provided intermittently. In addition, in the above-described embodiment, the waterproof structure in the main body case of the camera device has been described. However, the present invention can be suitably adopted as the waterproof structure in the case body of communication devices such as intercom devices and electrical devices such as power outlet devices as long as it is the waterproof structure in the case body formed by assembling a front case that opens rearward and a rear case that opens forward.
