Summary of the Invention
Problems to be Solved by the Invention
[0004] By the way, in a vehicle seat, a seat cover may be put on a substantially rectangular parallelepiped-shaped component.
[0005] However, when forming a corner portion composed of three sides by sewing a plurality of skin pieces, if a large deflection occurs in the sewing margin portion near the corner portion, it becomes difficult to form the corner portion well.
[0006] In consideration of the above facts, an object of the present invention is to obtain a seat skin structure, a vehicle seat, and a method for manufacturing a seat skin that can improve the appearance quality of a corner portion composed of three sides of the seat skin.
Means for Solving the Problems
[0007] The seat skin structure of the first aspect is a structure of a seat skin that covers a padding material of a vehicle seat. A first plane forming portion and a second plane forming portion are formed with a folding line therebetween. A first hemming margin continuous with the first plane forming portion and a second hemming margin continuous with the second plane forming portion are provided on an end side in a direction parallel to the folding line, and a first skin piece is formed. A third plane forming portion is provided such that one end side is disposed along an end portion on the first hemming margin side in the first plane forming portion and the other end side is disposed along an end portion on the second hemming margin side in the second plane forming portion. A third hemming margin disposed along the first hemming margin and a fourth hemming margin disposed along the second hemming margin are provided continuously with the third plane forming portion, and a second skin piece is formed. A first stitching portion that stitches the first hemming margin and the third hemming margin, and a second stitching portion that stitches the second hemming margin and the fourth hemming margin are provided. In the first skin piece, the first hemming margin and the second hemming margin are notched at an end side in the extending direction of the folding line, and a V-shaped notch is formed in a state before folding. In the second skin piece, cut portions that are continuously cut so as to correspond to the notch are formed in the third hemming margin and the fourth hemming margin.
[0008] In the seat skin structure of the first aspect, in the first skin piece, a first plane forming portion and a second plane forming portion are formed with a folding line therebetween. A first hemming margin continuous with the first plane forming portion and a second hemming margin continuous with the second plane forming portion are provided on an end side in a direction parallel to the folding line in the first skin piece. Further, one end side of the third plane forming portion of the second skin piece is disposed along an end portion on the first hemming margin side in the first plane forming portion, and the other end side is disposed along an end portion on the second hemming margin side in the second plane forming portion. A third hemming margin and a fourth hemming margin are provided continuously with the third plane forming portion in the second skin piece. The third hemming margin is disposed along the first hemming margin, and the fourth hemming margin is disposed along the second hemming margin. Then, the first stitching portion stitches the first hemming margin and the third hemming margin, and the second stitching portion stitches the second hemming margin and the fourth hemming margin.
[0009] Here, at the end side in the extending direction of the folding line in the first skin piece, a first sewing margin and a second sewing margin are notched, and a V-shaped notch is formed in the state before folding. In the second skin piece, cut portions that are continuously cut so as to correspond to the notches are formed in the third sewing margin and the fourth sewing margin. By forming the notches and the cut portions in this way, it is possible to suppress the occurrence of bending in the first sewing margin, the second sewing margin, the third sewing margin, and the fourth sewing margin in the vicinity of the corner formed by the three surfaces of the first plane forming portion, the second plane forming portion, and the third plane forming portion.
[0010] The vehicle seat according to the second aspect includes a seat cushion that supports the buttocks and thighs of a seated occupant. At the front portion of the seat cushion, a substantially rectangular parallelepiped slide portion is provided that includes a part of the seat surface and changes the front end position of the seat cushion by sliding along the front-rear direction of the seat. The slide portion has the seat skin structure of the first aspect.
[0011] In the vehicle seat according to the second aspect, the buttocks and thighs of the seated occupant are supported by the seat cushion. The substantially rectangular parallelepiped slide portion provided at the front portion of the seat cushion includes a part of the seat surface and changes the front end position of the seat cushion by sliding along the front-rear direction of the seat. Since the seat skin structure of the substantially rectangular parallelepiped slide portion is that of the first aspect, the above-described effects can be obtained.
[0012] The manufacturing method of the seat skin of the third aspect is such that a notch notched in a V shape is formed in the longitudinal middle part of a predetermined end extending linearly, and a first hemming allowance is provided on one side in the longitudinal direction of the end portion from the tip position of the notch, and a second hemming allowance is provided on the other side in the longitudinal direction of the end portion from the tip position of the notch. A first skin piece is provided, and a third hemming allowance is provided along one of the two sides sandwiching the corner portion, and a fourth hemming allowance is provided along the other side. Further, a cut portion is formed in the corner portion, in which a part of each of the third hemming allowance and the fourth hemming allowance is continuously cut obliquely. A second skin piece is used, and a first stitching step of stitching the first hemming allowance and the third hemming allowance in a state where a part of the edge of the cut portion is along one side of the edge of the notch and the first hemming allowance and the third hemming allowance are overlapped, and after the first stitching step, a second stitching step of stitching the second hemming allowance and the fourth hemming allowance in a state where the other part of the edge of the cut portion is along the other side of the edge of the notch and the second hemming allowance and the fourth hemming allowance are overlapped.
[0013] In the manufacturing method of the seat skin of the third aspect, a first skin piece and a second skin piece are used. In the first skin piece, a notch notched in a V shape is formed in the longitudinal middle part of a predetermined end extending linearly, and a first hemming allowance is provided on one side in the longitudinal direction of the end portion from the tip position of the notch, and a second hemming allowance is provided on the other side in the longitudinal direction of the end portion from the tip position of the notch. In the second skin piece, a third hemming allowance is provided along one of the two sides sandwiching the corner portion, and a fourth hemming allowance is provided along the other side. Further, a cut portion is formed in the corner portion, in which a part of each of the third hemming allowance and the fourth hemming allowance is cut.
[0014] In the method for manufacturing the seat skin of this third aspect, a first sewing step and a second sewing step are included. In the first sewing step, with a part of the edge of the cut portion along one side of the edge of the notch and the first seam allowance and the third seam allowance being overlapped, the first seam allowance and the third seam allowance are sewn together. In the second sewing step after the first sewing step, with a part of the other edge of the cut portion along the other side of the edge of the notch and the second seam allowance and the fourth seam allowance being overlapped, the second seam allowance and the fourth seam allowance are sewn together. Here, since the notch is formed in the first skin piece and the cut portion is formed in the second skin piece, it is possible to suppress the occurrence of bending in the first seam allowance, the second seam allowance, the third seam allowance, and the fourth seam allowance in the vicinity of the corner formed by three sides.
Advantages of the Invention
[0015] As described above, according to the present invention, there is an excellent effect that it becomes possible to improve the appearance quality of the corner formed by three sides of the seat skin.

[0023] The above - mentioned pad body 23 and front - side pad 27 are pad materials made of a foam such as urethane foam, for example. Note that the pad body 23 and the front - side pad 27 constitute a seat cushion pad (reference numeral omitted). Also, the skin body 24 and the front - side skin 28 constitute a seat cushion skin (reference numeral omitted).
[0024] The skin body 24 and the front - side skin 28 are formed by sewing a plurality of skin pieces made of, for example, a cloth material, leather, synthetic leather, or the like. The seat - skin structure of the present invention is applied to the front - side skin 28 of the present embodiment. In other words, the vehicle seat 10 of the present embodiment has the seat - skin structure of the present invention at the slide portion 26. Hereinafter, the front - side skin 28 to which the seat - skin structure of the present invention is applied will be described in detail.
[0025] Figure 2 schematically shows the upper part on the right rear side of the sheet of the front skin 28 in FIG. 1. Note that the upper part on the left rear side of the sheet of the front skin 28 in FIG. 1 has a configuration obtained by reversing FIG. 2 left and right. As shown in FIG. 2, the front skin 28 has a main skin piece 30 as a first skin piece and a gusset skin piece 40 as a second skin piece.
[0026] In the main skin piece 30, a first plane forming portion 32 and a second plane forming portion 36 are formed with a folding line 30L interposed therebetween. The first plane forming portion 32 forms a planar upper surface, and the second plane forming portion 36 forms a planar rear surface. The surface direction of the second plane forming portion 36 is set in a direction orthogonal to the surface direction of the first plane forming portion 32. At the end side in the direction parallel to the folding line 30L in the main skin piece 30, a first sewing margin 34 continuous with the first plane forming portion 32 and a second sewing margin 38 continuous with the second plane forming portion 36 are provided. The first sewing margin 34 and the second sewing margin 38 each extend linearly.
[0027] On the other hand, the gusset skin piece 40 includes a third plane forming portion 42. The third plane forming portion 42 forms a planar side surface. One end portion 42A side of the third plane forming portion 42 is arranged along the end portion on the first sewing margin 34 side in the first plane forming portion 32 of the main skin piece 30, and the other end portion 42B side is arranged along the end portion on the second sewing margin 38 side in the second plane forming portion 36. The surface direction of the third plane forming portion 42 is set in a direction orthogonal to each of the surface direction of the first plane forming portion 32 and the surface direction of the second plane forming portion 36. In the gusset skin piece 40, a third sewing margin 44 arranged along the first sewing margin 34 and a fourth sewing margin 46 arranged along the second sewing margin 38 are provided continuously with the third plane forming portion 42. The third sewing margin 44 and the fourth sewing margin 46 each extend linearly.
[0028] The first seam allowance 34 and the third seam allowance 44 are stitched together at a first stitching portion 50 shown broken in the figure. The first stitching portion 50 stitches together the end on the side continuous with the first planar formation portion 32 in the first seam allowance 34 and the end on the side continuous with the third planar formation portion 42 in the third seam allowance 44, and extends along the longitudinal directions of the first seam allowance 34 and the third seam allowance 44. Also, the second seam allowance 38 and the fourth seam allowance 46 are stitched together at a second stitching portion 52 shown broken in the figure. The second stitching portion 52 stitches together the end on the side continuous with the second planar formation portion 36 in the second seam allowance 38 and the end on the side continuous with the third planar formation portion 42 in the fourth seam allowance 46, and extends along the longitudinal directions of the second seam allowance 38 and the fourth seam allowance 46.
[0029] FIG. 3 shows a simplified perspective view of a part of the front skin 28 in a state before the first seam allowance 34, the second seam allowance 38, the third seam allowance 44, and the fourth seam allowance 46 are turned inside out so as to be on the inside. From the state shown in FIG. 3, when the first planar formation portion 32 is turned in the direction of arrow R1 and the second planar formation portion 36 is turned in the direction of arrow R2, the first seam allowance 34, the second seam allowance 38, the third seam allowance 44, and the fourth seam allowance 46 are in a state of being arranged on the inside.
[0030] As shown in FIG. 3, at the end side in the extending direction of the folding line 30L in the main skin piece 30, a notch 30N for notching the first seam allowance 34 and the second seam allowance 38 is formed. The notch 30N is formed in a V shape in the state before folding (see FIG. 4). Also, in the gusset skin piece 40, cut portions 40K that are continuously cut so as to correspond to the notch 30N are formed in the third seam allowance 44 and the fourth seam allowance 46.
[0031] Next, a method for manufacturing the front skin 28 as the sheet skin, as well as the operation and effects of the present embodiment will be described.
[0032] Figure 4 shows in plan view the main skin piece 30 and the gusset skin piece 40 in the state before sewing, which are used in the manufacturing method of the front skin 28 (see FIG. 2). For the main skin piece 30 and the gusset skin piece 40, for convenience, the same reference numerals are given before and after manufacturing. Also, in FIGS. 4 to 7B, the outer shape and the like of the main skin piece 30 and the gusset skin piece 40 are shown in a simplified manner as appropriate.
[0033] As shown in FIG. 4, in the main skin piece 30 in the state before sewing, a notch 30N is formed which is cut out in a V shape at the longitudinal middle portion of a predetermined end 30S extending linearly. The notch 30N is formed in a V shape that is line-symmetric with respect to a predetermined line in a direction orthogonal to the longitudinal direction of the predetermined end 30S and has an apex angle of 90°. In the main skin piece 30 in the state before sewing, a first sewing allowance 34 is provided on one side in the longitudinal direction of the predetermined end 30S from the tip position of the notch 30N, and a second sewing allowance 38 is provided on the other side in the longitudinal direction of the predetermined end 30S from the tip position of the notch 30N.
[0034] Also, in the gusset skin piece 40 in the state before sewing, a third sewing allowance 44 is provided along one side 40A of the two sides sandwiching the corner portion 40C, and a fourth sewing allowance 46 is provided along the other side 40B. The third sewing allowance 44 and the fourth sewing allowance 46 extend in directions orthogonal to each other. Further, a cut portion 40K is formed at the corner portion 40C of the gusset skin piece 40, in which a part of each of the third sewing allowance 44 and the fourth sewing allowance 46 is continuously cut obliquely. The cut portion 40K is cut in a direction of 45° with respect to both the longitudinal direction of the third sewing allowance 44 and the longitudinal direction of the fourth sewing allowance 46.
[0035] In the manufacturing method of the front skin 28 (see FIG. 2), first, as shown in FIG. 5, with one side 30N1 of the edge of the notch 30N of the main skin piece 30 along a part 40K1 of the edge of the cut portion 40K of the gusset skin piece 40 and with the first sewing allowance 34 of the main skin piece 30 and the third sewing allowance 44 of the gusset skin piece 40 being overlapped, the first sewing allowance 34 and the third sewing allowance 44 are sewn together at a first sewing portion 50 (first sewing step).
[0036] Thereafter, as shown in FIG. 6, the fourth seam allowance 46 of the machine skin piece 40 is rotated by a predetermined angle around the notch 30N by the hand Ha of the manufacturer (or the manufacturing robot) (see the direction of arrow R3), and as shown in FIG. 7A, the other part 40K2 of the edge of the cut portion 40K is made to follow the other side 30N2 of the edge of the notch 30N, and the second seam allowance 38 and the fourth seam allowance 46 are overlapped, and in that state, as shown in FIG. 7B, the second seam allowance 38 and the fourth seam allowance 46 are sewn at the second sewing portion 52 (second sewing step).
[0037] When the left end side in the figure of the machine skin piece 40 in the state of FIG. 7B is raised to the front side of the figure so as to bend the machine skin piece 40 at a right angle along the second sewing portion 52, the state shown in FIG. 3 can be obtained. FIG. 8 schematically shows a view of FIG. 3 as viewed in the direction of arrow 8. Further, FIG. 9 shows a simplified perspective view of the notch 30N and the cut portion 40K shown in FIG. 8 and the peripheral portions thereof, and FIG. 10 shows a simplified perspective view of a proportional example 100 in which the notch 30N and the cut portion 40K shown in FIG. 9 are not formed, as viewed in the same direction as FIG. 9.
[0038] In the proportional example 100 shown in FIG. 10, in the vicinity of the corner portion 100C in the figure, in the outer seam allowance 104 in the figure and the inner seam allowance 108 in the figure, there are portions (extra portions) that exceed the length necessary for the formation of the corner portion 100C in the figure. Therefore, the seam allowances 104 and 108 are bent (meander) and protrude outward in the direction of the corner portion 100C. For this reason, when the skin piece 102 having the seam allowance 104 and the skin piece 106 having the seam allowance 108 are turned over so that the seam allowances 104 and 108 are on the inner side, the corner portion will be recessed. As a result, in the proportional example 100, the gap with the adjacent peripheral member (for example, the skin body 24 (see FIG. 1)) becomes large.
[0039] In contrast, in the present embodiment, as shown in FIGS. 8 and 9, since the notch 30N and the cut portion 40K are formed, the bending in the first seam allowance 34, the second seam allowance 38, the third seam allowance 44, and the fourth seam allowance 46 is suppressed in the vicinity of the corner 28C of the front skin 28 in the state shown in FIG. 9. Therefore, when the main skin piece 30 and the gusset skin piece 40 are turned over so that the first seam allowance 34, the second seam allowance 38, the third seam allowance 44, and the fourth seam allowance 46 face inward, as shown in FIG. 2, the appearance quality of the corner 28D formed by the three sides on the rear side of the front skin 28 can be improved. As a result, it is possible to suppress an increase in the gap between the corner 28D of the front skin 28 shown in FIG. 1 and the skin main body 24.
[0040] As described above, in the present embodiment, it becomes possible to improve the appearance quality of the corner 28D formed by the three sides of the front skin 28.
[0041] In the above embodiment, the front skin 28 covering the front pad 27 shown in FIG. 1 is arranged such that the first seam allowance 34, the second seam allowance 38, the third seam allowance 44, and the fourth seam allowance 46 all extend along the inner surface side of the third plane forming portion 42 as shown in FIG. 2. However, other configurations may be adopted. For example, both the first seam allowance 34 and the third seam allowance 44 may be arranged along the inner surface (lower surface) side of the first plane forming portion 32, or the first seam allowance 34 may be arranged along the inner surface (lower surface) side of the first plane forming portion 32 while the third seam allowance 44 is arranged along the inner surface side of the third plane forming portion 42. Also, both the second seam allowance 38 and the fourth seam allowance 46 may be arranged along the inner surface side of the second plane forming portion 36, or the second seam allowance 38 may be arranged along the inner surface side of the second plane forming portion 36 while the fourth seam allowance 46 is arranged along the inner surface side of the third plane forming portion 42.
[0042] In the above embodiment, the seat skin structure and the method for manufacturing the seat skin of the present invention are applied to the front skin 28. However, the seat skin structure and the method for manufacturing the seat skin of the present invention may be applied to other parts than the front skin 28, such as the seat skin on the armrest.
[0043] Further, the seat skin structure and the method for manufacturing the seat skin of the present invention may be applied, for example, to the seat skin in the concave armrest storage portion formed in the seat back of the rear seat. Supplementary explanation is as follows. Since the above-described embodiment is a configuration for improving the appearance quality of the convex corner portion 28D formed on the front side of the front skin 28 (seat skin), after sewing, the main skin piece 30 (first skin piece) and the gusset skin piece 40 (second skin piece) are turned over so as to change from the state shown in FIG. 3 to the state shown in FIG. 2 (so that the first sewing margin 34, the second sewing margin 38, the third sewing margin 44, and the fourth sewing margin 46 are on the inside). However, for example, in a configuration for improving the appearance quality of the concave corner portion formed on the front side of the seat skin in the concave armrest storage portion formed in the seat back of the rear seat, the first skin piece and the second skin piece are not turned over after sewing.
[0044] As described above, an example of the present invention has been described. However, the present invention is not limited to the above, and it goes without saying that various modifications can be made without departing from the gist thereof.
