Portable urine collection systems and methods

Abstract

To provide inconspicuous and portable urine collection systems.SOLUTION: A portable urine collection system 300 comprises a urine collection device 212, a first conduit 217a, a urine collection pouch 314, and a container support. The urine collection pouch 314 includes a port secured to the first conduit 217a and positioned along an axis of the urine collection pouch 314. The system comprises a nanofiber membrane positioned or positionable within the urine collection pouch. The nanofiber membrane is formed into a shape having two opposing generally flat or planar surfaces, and positioned on the axis of the urine collection pouch 314. The container support is detachably secured to a wheelchair and supports the urine collection pouch 314.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3B
