[0058] The pack cosmetics of Examples 1 to 22 all had a thick coating feeling when used at a high temperature, and were easy to spread even when used at a low temperature. They did not leave the skin feeling tight after rinsing, and the lotion used after rinsing was easily absorbed into the skin.

[0059] In contrast, in Comparative Examples 1 to 4, sufficient performance was not obtained. In Comparative Example 1, the amount of component (A) was small, so that the product felt thick when used at high temperatures and the lotion applied after rinsing did not blend well with the skin. Comparative Example 2 did not contain component (B), and therefore had a thick coating feel when used at high temperatures and was insufficient in ease of spreading when used at low temperatures. A pack cosmetic containing the following components (A) to (D): (A) Kaolin: 30 to 90% by mass (B) Water-swellable clay mineral: 0.1 to 20% by mass (C) One or more thickening polysaccharides selected from the group consisting of xanthan gum, guar gum, locust bean gum, tamarind seed gum, and gellan gum: 0.05 to 1% by mass (D) Acidic mucopolysaccharides: 0.0001 to 0.1% by mass
