Description

[Technical Field]

[0001] The present invention relates to a packaging container. [Background technology]

[0002] 2. Description of the Related Art Liquids such as liquid detergents and beverages are often distributed in bottle containers. Some bottle containers are provided with a handle for holding the container by hand. For example, the present applicant has previously proposed a container in which the opposite side edges of a pair of side sections are connected to each other to form a body section with an elliptical cross section, and in which a grip section and a pouring section that opens upward are formed at the top of the body section (Patent Document 1).

[0003] Patent document 2 discloses a synthetic resin container having a pair of gripping recesses formed in the body that are recessed inward and extend in the height direction of the container, and having reinforcing ribs provided inside the gripping recesses. Patent document 3 discloses a labeled container in which a handle is formed that is recessed into the container and extends in a direction perpendicular to the height direction of the container, and a shrink label is attached to an area that includes the handle, and the upper and lower edges of the cutout formed in the shrink label intersect at both circumferential ends of the container to form an angle. [0004] [Patent Document 1] Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 2001-31085 [Patent Document 2] Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 2012-171661 [Patent Document 3] Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 2013-1416 Summary of the Invention [Problem to be solved by the invention]

[0005] When a bottle container has a grip portion formed by a grip through-hole, the outer surface of the bottle container is generally covered with a label except for the grip through-hole. When using a packaging container equipped with such a label and a bottle container, a user holds the grip portion with their hand to support the packaging container and rotates the cap attached to the neck of the bottle container to attach or detach the cap. However, when attaching or detaching the cap while holding the grip portion, the label on the packaging container may be turned up or the edge of the label may come into contact with the hand, resulting in a poor usability. The containers of Patent Documents 1 to 3 do not consider the possibility of the label turning over or the edge of the label abutting during such attachment and detachment operations.

[0006] The present invention relates to a packaging container that provides an excellent feeling when gripped and that can prevent a label attached to the container body from being turned over. [Means for solving the problem]

[0007] The present invention relates to a packaging container comprising a bottle container having a nozzle portion, a lower body portion having a bottom portion, an upper body portion located between the lower body portion and the nozzle portion, and a grip portion having a gripping through-hole between the upper body portion and the upper body portion, and a label covering the outer surfaces of the upper body portion and the grip portion. [0013] The present invention will be described below based on preferred embodiments with reference to the drawings. Figures 1 to 5 show one embodiment of a packaging container 1 of the present invention. As shown in Figure 1, the packaging container 1 of this embodiment includes a bottle container 10 that contains a liquid, a cap 6 that is detachably attached to a nozzle portion 2 of the bottle container 10, and a label 7 that partially covers the outer surface of the bottle container 10.

[0014] The type of liquid contained in the packaging container 1 (bottle container 10) of this embodiment is not particularly limited. Examples of such liquids include liquid hair care agents such as shampoo, hair conditioner, and hair rinse; liquid soaps such as body soap and hand soap; liquid detergents for clothes and dishes; fabric softeners and bleaches; liquid cleaners for bathrooms, toilets, and floors; liquid cosmetics; liquid beverages; foods; medicines; and engine oil. High-viscosity liquids such as creams are also acceptable. The liquid is contained in the storage space S inside the bottle container 10.

[0015] As shown in FIG. 1, the packaging container 1 of this embodiment includes a bottle container 10. The bottle container 10 includes a nozzle portion 2 for dispensing the liquid content, a lower body portion 3, an upper body portion 4 located between the lower body portion 3 and the nozzle portion 2, and a grip portion 5 having a gripping through-hole 42 between the lower body portion 3 and the upper body portion 4. The lower body portion 3 has a bottom portion 32, and by placing the bottom portion 32 on a horizontal surface, the packaging container 1 (bottle container 10) can be made to stand upright. In the standing upright state, the height direction Z (central axis direction) of the bottle container 10 coincides with the vertical direction, and the nozzle portion 2 is positioned above the vertical direction and faces the bottom portion 32 in the same direction. Hereinafter, unless otherwise specified, the packaging container 1 (bottle container 10) of the embodiment shown in FIGS. 1 to 5 will be described in a standing upright state.

[0016] The bottle container 10 of this embodiment is a blow-molded product. Thermoplastic resin can be used as the constituent resin of this bottle container 10. Examples of thermoplastic resins include polyolefin resins such as polyethylene (PE) and polypropylene (PP), polyester resins such as polyethylene terephthalate (PET), and polyvinyl resins such as polyvinyl chloride (PVC). The constituent resins of the bottle container 10 and the cap 6 described below may be the same or different.

[0017] In the bottle container 10 of this embodiment, a parting line PL is formed during blow molding. The parting line PL is formed at a position that divides the bottle container 10 into two equal parts, approximately line-symmetrical along a predetermined direction. When the bottle container 10 is divided into a front portion F and a rear portion R along the parting line PL, the bottle container 10 of this embodiment has a depth direction X in which the front portion F and the rear portion R are aligned, and a width direction Y that is perpendicular to the depth direction X. The width direction Y coincides with the extension direction of the parting line PL in a plan view, for example, the extension direction of the parting line PL in the bottom portion 32 (see FIG. 3). The width direction Y is the direction in which the upper body portion 4, the grip through-hole 42, and the grip portion 5 are aligned (see FIGS. 1 and 2).

[0018] In the bottle container 10 of this embodiment, the nozzle portion 2, upper body portion 4, and lower body portion 3 are integrally molded, and these portions 2, 4, and 3 are continuous. As shown in Figure 2, in the bottle container 10, the interiors of the lower body portion 3 and the upper body portion 4 are connected to each other, and the internal spaces of these bodies 3, 4 form the main storage space S for liquid. In the bottle container 10, the nozzle portion 2 and the upper body portion 4 are adjacent to each other in the height direction Z, and furthermore, the upper body portion 4 and the lower body portion 3 are adjacent to each other in the height direction Z (see FIG. 1). The lower body 3 has a cylindrical peripheral wall 30, and the opening of the peripheral wall 30 on the lower side in the height direction Z is closed by a bottom 32. The peripheral wall 30 of the lower body 3 will hereinafter also be referred to as the "lower body peripheral wall 30." The lower body peripheral wall 30 has an elliptical cross-sectional shape in a plan view. The cross-section is a cross-section along the horizontal direction (horizontal cross-section).

[0019] When the packaging container 1 is viewed from the depth direction X (hereinafter also simply referred to as "front view"), the upper body 4 is located on one side of the bottle container 10 in the width direction Y, and is connected to the upper side of the lower body 3. In the front view, the upper body 4 has a shorter overall width (length in the width direction Y) than the lower body 3. The upper body 4 has a substantially cylindrical peripheral wall 40, and an upper opening 45 that communicates with the interior of the nozzle 2 upward in the height direction Z is formed at the upper end of the upper body 4. The upper body 4 has a through-hole-side inner surface 41a located on the grip through-hole 42 side of the outer peripheral surface of the upper body 4, with the grip through-hole 42 sandwiched between them (see FIG. 3). In this embodiment, the through-hole-side inner surface 41a is a convex curved surface that gently protrudes toward the grip through-hole 42 side (outward in the width direction Y). Because the through-hole-side inner surface 41a is a convex curved surface that gently protrudes toward the grip through-hole 42 side (outward in the width direction Y), it is possible to improve the fit of the palm when inserting the palm into the grip through-hole 42 to grip the bottle container 10.

[0020] The upper body 4 has, among its outer peripheral surfaces, an upper body outer surface 41b that forms the front portion F and rear portion R of the upper body 4 in addition to the through-hole side inner surface 41a (see FIG. 3). The upper body outer surface 41b has a convex curved surface that protrudes from both ends of the through-hole side inner surface 41a in the depth direction X to the side opposite the grip portion 5. In a cross section of the peripheral wall 40 of the upper body 4, the portion that forms the upper body outer surface 41b is substantially C-shaped.

[0021] The bottle container 10 of this embodiment has a shoulder 46 on the other side in the width direction Y, the shoulder 46 having an inclined surface on its upper surface that extends horizontally and descends from the periphery of the upper opening 45 (see Figs. 1 and 2), and the shoulder 46 is continuous with the upper end of the grip 5. The shoulder 46 is located above the grip through-hole 42, and is located between the upper body 4 and the grip 5 in the width direction Y. In the bottle container 10 of this embodiment, the internal space of the shoulder 46 is in communication with the interiors of the upper body 4 and the grip 5 (see Fig. 2).

[0022] The nozzle portion 2 of this embodiment is a cylindrical portion that protrudes upward from the upper end of the upper body portion 4, and the interior of the nozzle portion 2 communicates with the interior of the upper body portion 4 via an upper opening 45 (see FIG. 2). The nozzle portion 2 of this embodiment has a male thread ridge 22 formed on its outer circumferential surface, which can be threadedly engaged with a female thread ridge (not shown) formed on the inner circumferential surface of the cap 6. This allows the cap 6 to be attached to the nozzle portion 2 in a detachable manner. The cap 6 is a molded product made of synthetic resin such as polypropylene or polyethylene, or biomass-derived resin such as polylactic acid, and is preferably formed by injection molding.

[0023] The bottle container 10 of this embodiment is formed with a grip through-hole 42 extending in the height direction Z. This grip through-hole 42 penetrates the bottle container 10 in the depth direction X and has openings 42a in both the front portion F and the back portion R (see FIG. 3). The inner peripheral surface of the grip through-hole 42 is formed by the outer surface 41a (the through-hole-side inner surface 41a) of the upper body portion 4, the inner surface 54 of the grip portion 5, the lower surface of the shoulder portion 46, and the upper surface of the lower body portion 3, and the inner peripheral surface of the grip through-hole 42 forms a substantially flush, curved surface. The grip through-hole 42 of this embodiment has an inner diameter that gradually decreases inward in the depth direction X. In other words, the inner diameter of the grip through-hole 42 is smallest at the parting line PL and gradually increases toward the opening 42a located outward in the depth direction X (see FIGS. 2 and 3).

[0024] The bottle container 10 of this embodiment has a grip portion 5 on the opposite side to the nozzle portion 2 in the width direction Y, and the upper body portion 4 and the grip portion 5 face each other in the width direction Y with a grip through-hole 42 in between. In other words, the grip portion 5 is located on the opposite side to the upper body portion 4 with the grip through-hole 42 in between (see FIG. 2). 2, the grip portion 5 of this embodiment is located outward in the width direction Y from the grip through-hole 42, hangs down from the shoulder portion 46, and is connected to the lower body portion 3. The grip portion 5 functions as a handle when gripping the packaging container 1 (bottle container 10). The grip portion 5 of this embodiment has a cylindrical shape that is long in the height direction Z, and the interior of the grip portion 5 is in communication with the interior of the shoulder portion 46 and the interior of the lower body portion 3. This allows liquid to be contained inside the grip portion 5 as well. Hereinafter, the internal space of the grip portion 5 will also be referred to as the "grip internal space 5S."

[0025] The grip portion 5 has a grip inner surface 54 located on the grip through-hole 42 side, and a grip outer surface 51 located on the opposite side to the grip inner surface 54 (see FIG. 2). The grip inner surface 54 and the grip outer surface 51 form the outer peripheral surface of the grip portion 5 and serve as a contact portion when gripping the grip portion 5. The grip inner surface 54 faces the through-hole side inner surface 41a of the upper body portion 4 across the grip through-hole 42. The grip inner surface 54 of this embodiment is a convexly curved surface that gently protrudes toward the grip through-hole 42 (inward in the width direction Y), and the position of the parting line PL of the grip inner surface 54 forms the apex of the convexly curved surface. On the other hand, the grip outer surface 51 of this embodiment is a convexly curved surface that gently protrudes outward in the width direction Y, and the position of the parting line PL of the outer surface 51 forms the apex of the convexly curved surface. The grip portion 5 of this embodiment has a substantially elliptical cross-sectional shape with a major axis along the depth direction X (see FIG. 3).

[0026] The grip portion 5 has a step portion 52 along part of the periphery of the grip through-hole 42 at the boundary between the grip inner surface 54 and the grip outer surface 51 (see FIG. 4). In this embodiment, the boundary between the grip inner surface 54 and the grip outer surface 51 is located near the outer end in the depth direction X in a cross section of the grip portion 5 (see FIG. 5(a)). In this embodiment, the step portion 52 is formed by providing a protrusion 5P that protrudes from the grip outer surface 51. In other words, the step portion 52 is a portion where a difference in height occurs between the protrusion 5P and the grip outer surface 51 (see FIG. 4). The step portion 52 forms a ridge that forms the outer edge of the protrusion 5P in the width direction Y. The protrusions 5P of this embodiment are formed on the side edge of the periphery of the grip through-hole 42 on the grip portion 5 side (see FIG. 4). As a result, the step portions 52 are also formed along the side edge of the periphery of the grip through-hole 42 on the grip portion 5 side. The protrusions 5P of this embodiment have gradually reduced height differences with the grip outer surface 51 at both ends in the height direction Z (see FIG. 4). Furthermore, the protrusions 5P of this embodiment have upper edge portions 53 that protrude most from the grip outer surface 51 that are continuous with the grip inner surface 54 in the circumferential direction of the grip portion 5 so as to be substantially flush with each other.

[0027] The packaging container 1 is provided with a label 7 that covers the outer surfaces of the upper body 4, the grip portion 5, and the lower body 3 of the bottle container 10 (see FIG. 1). Various known labels can be used for the label 7. Examples of labels include those made of synthetic resin film, such as tack labels, wrap-around labels, shrink labels, and stretch labels. From the viewpoint of further improving production efficiency, it is preferable to use a shrink label for the label 7. Furthermore, it is preferable to use a synthetic resin film such as oriented polystyrene (OPS), oriented polyethylene terephthalate (OPET), polylactic acid (PLA), or polyethylene, or a laminate film made of laminated layers of synthetic resin. Examples of laminate films include those made of layers of different types of synthetic resin. From the viewpoint of further improving adhesion to the outer surface of the bottle container 10, it is preferable that the laminate film used for the label 7 is HOP [polyethylene terephthalate / polystyrene / polyethylene terephthalate (PET / PS / PET)].

[0028] The label 7 has a label opening 71 that surrounds the periphery of the grip through-hole 42 (see FIGS. 1 and 4). The label 7 covers the outer surfaces of the front portion F and back portion R of the upper body portion 4, the lower body portion 3, and the grip portion 5, and the grip through-hole 42 is exposed at the label opening 71. The label opening 71 surrounds the periphery of the opening end of the grip through-hole 42 on each of the front portion F side and the back portion R side, and the edge of the label opening 71 does not reach the inner circumferential surface of the grip through-hole 42 (the through-hole-side inner surface 41a and the grip inner surface 54).

[0029] The label 7 has a label gripping portion 73 located closer to the gripping portion 5 than the label opening 71. The label gripping portion 73 is disposed between both openings 42a of the gripping through-hole 42 in the depth direction X of the gripping portion 5. 5(a) and (b) show the edge 71e of the label opening 71 in the gripping portion 5 (hereinafter also simply referred to as the "opening edge 71e"), i.e., the position of the side edge of the label gripping portion 73. In the packaging container 1 of this embodiment, the opening edge 71e is located closer to the gripping outer surface 51 than the stepped portion 52 in the circumferential direction of the gripping portion 5. In other words, the opening edge 71e does not extend beyond the stepped portion 52 in the circumferential direction of the gripping portion 5, and is disposed on the gripping outer surface 51.

[0030] The packaging container 1 of this embodiment is used in a gripped state in which the grip portion 5 is gripped by hand with fingers passing through the grip through-hole 42. For example, opening and closing operations are performed by attaching and detaching the cap 6 while gripping the container, and a dispensing operation is performed by tilting the packaging container 1 (bottle container 10) while gripping the container, thereby dispensing the contents from the nozzle portion 2. When performing opening and closing operations while gripping the container, the grip portion 5 is gripped with one hand and the cap 6 is rotated around the nozzle portion 2 with the other hand, and as a result of this rotation, a force may be applied to the hand gripping the grip portion 5, causing it to rotate around the grip portion 5. The packaging container 1 of this embodiment has a step 52 at the boundary between the grip inner surface 54 and the grip outer surface 51, and the opening edge 71e is positioned closer to the grip outer surface 51 than the step 52. This makes it easier for the part of one hand gripping the grip portion 5 (such as the base of the thumb) to come into contact with the step 52, while making it less likely for the part of the other hand gripping the grip portion 5 to come into contact with the opening edge 71e. This reduces the discomfort caused by contact with the opening edge, providing a good grip (feel) and effectively preventing the label grip portion 73 from turning over from the opening edge 71e even when the hand gripping the grip portion 5 turns around the grip portion 5. This latter effect is hereinafter also referred to as the "turning-over prevention effect." Furthermore, because the opening edge 71e is less likely to come into contact with the hand, abrasion by the opening edge 71e can be reduced.

[0031] The bottle container 10 of this embodiment has openings 42a of grip through-holes 42 on both sides of the parting line PL, that is, on both the front face F and the back face R. From the viewpoint of further improving the feel in use and the roll-up prevention effect, it is preferable that the grip portion 5 has a step portion 52 at the boundary between the grip inner surface 54 and the grip outer surface 51 on both sides of the parting line PL. Such a configuration can also be applied when the step portion 52 is formed by a recess 5D. By having the step portion 52 on both sides of the parting line PL of the bottle container 10, the grip feeling when holding the grip portion 5 can be further improved.

[0032] As described above, the step portion 52 of this embodiment is formed by the height difference between the convex portion 5P and the grip outer surface 51. From the viewpoint of further improving the feel in use and the roll-up suppression effect, the height of the step portion 52 is preferably 0.5 mm to 5 mm, more preferably 1 mm to 3 mm. The height of the step portion 52 is the maximum height difference (mm) between the convex portion 5P and the grip outer surface 51. As will be described later, when the step portion 52 is formed by the height difference between the convex portion 5P and the grip inner surface 54 (see FIG. 6), the height of the step portion 52 is the maximum height difference (mm) between the convex portion 5P and the grip inner surface 54. Furthermore, as will be described later, when the step portion 52 is formed by the height difference between the concave portion 5D and the grip outer surface 51 and the grip inner surface 54 (see FIG. 7), the height of the step portion 52 is the maximum depth of the concave portion 5D.

[0033] In this embodiment, the opening edge 71e does not reach the lower end of the stepped portion 52, but is spaced from the lower end of the stepped portion 52 toward the grip outer surface 51 in the circumferential direction of the grip portion 5. In other words, the grip outer surface 51 is exposed between the opening edge 71e and the stepped portion 52 in the circumferential direction of the grip portion 5 (see FIGS. 5(a) and 5(b)). The opening edge 71e may be located closer to the grip outer surface 51 than the upper edge 53 of the stepped portion 52. For example, the opening edge 71e may reach the lower end of the stepped portion 52.

[0034] From the viewpoint of further improving the effect of preventing the label from turning over, the thickness of the label 7 is preferably 20 μm or more and 80 μm or less, and more preferably 40 μm or more and 60 μm or less.

[0035] Anti-slip projections may be formed on the grip inner surface 54. For example, a plurality of ribs extending in the depth direction X may be arranged intermittently in the height direction Z on the grip inner surface 54. Such a configuration can further improve the grip feeling of the grip portion 5.

[0036] Figures 6 to 8 show other embodiments of the grip portion of the packaging container according to the present invention. In these embodiments, components that differ from the embodiment shown in Figures 1 to 5 will be mainly described, and similar components will be given the same reference numerals and will not be described again. For components that are not specifically described, the description of the embodiment shown in Figures 1 to 5 will be applied as appropriate.

[0037] 6(a) and 6(b), the grip portion 5a has a stepped portion 52 formed by providing a convex portion 5P that protrudes from the grip inner surface 54. In this embodiment, the convex portion 5P is continuous with the grip outer surface 51 such that the upper edge 53 that protrudes most from the grip inner surface 54 is substantially flush with the grip outer surface 51 in the circumferential direction of the grip portion 5. In this embodiment, the opening edge 71e does not reach the upper edge 53 of the stepped portion 52 in the circumferential direction of the grip portion 5, and is positioned closer to the grip outer surface 51 than the upper edge 53.

[0038] Fig. 7 is a lateral end view of a gripping portion showing yet another embodiment of the gripping portion. In the gripping portion 5b shown in Fig. 7, a step portion 52 is formed by providing a recess 5D that is lower than the gripping outer surface 51 and the gripping inner surface 54. Such a step portion 52 is a portion where a difference in height occurs between the recess 5D and the gripping outer surface 51 and the gripping inner surface 54. The recess 5D is recessed toward the gripping internal space 5S and is formed along part of the periphery of the gripping through-hole 42 in the gripping portion 5. 7, the opening edge 71e of the label 7 is recessed into the recess 5D in the circumferential direction of the grip portion 5. That is, the opening edge 71e is located within the recess 5D. This makes it difficult for the part of the grip portion 5 that is gripped in one hand to come into contact with the opening edge 71e, resulting in excellent gripping (feel) and curling-up prevention. In this embodiment, the opening edge 71e is located closer to the grip inner surface 54 than the step portion 52 on the grip outer surface 51 side within the recess 5D.

[0039] The packaging container can also be used by holding the upper body 4 with one hand instead of the gripping portion 5. For example, the packaging container can be held with one hand with four fingers other than the thumb inserted into the gripping through-hole 42 and the thumb positioned along the peripheral wall 40 of the upper body 4. In this case, the upper body 4 of the bottle container 10 may have a step 52 along part of the periphery of the gripping through-hole 42 in addition to or instead of the gripping portion 5. In the upper body 4, the step 52 is provided at the boundary between the upper body outer surface 41b and the through-hole-side inner surface 41a. Such a boundary is located near the outer end in the depth direction X in the cross section of the upper body 4, for example, at the portion indicated by B in FIG. 3 . An embodiment in which the upper body 4 has a step 52 at the boundary between the upper body outer surface 41b and the through-hole side inner surface 41a is shown in FIGS. 8(a) and (b).

[0040] 8(a), the stepped portion 52 is formed by providing a convex portion 4P that protrudes from the through-hole-side inner surface 41a. This convex portion 4P is formed along part of the periphery of the grip through-hole 42 in the upper body portion 4. The convex portion 4P in this embodiment is continuous so that the upper edge portion 43 that protrudes most from the through-hole-side inner surface 41a is substantially flush with the upper body portion outer surface 41b in the circumferential direction of the upper body portion 4. When the upper body portion 4 has the stepped portion 52 formed by the convex portion 4P, the opening edge 71e (not shown) located on the upper body portion 4 side of the label opening 71 is located closer to the upper body portion outer surface 41b than the stepped portion 52 in the circumferential direction of the upper body portion 4. The convex portion 4P of the upper body portion 4 of this embodiment can have the same configuration as the convex portion 5P of the grip portion 5 described above.

[0041] 8(a), when the upper body portion 4 is held with one hand as described above, the part of the hand that holds the upper body portion 4 (such as the base of the thumb) is likely to come into contact with the step portion 52, while the part of the hand that holds the upper body portion 4 is unlikely to come into contact with the opening edge 71e. This reduces the discomfort caused by contact with the opening edge, providing a good grip (feeling of use), and effectively prevents the label 7 from being turned up from the opening edge 71e even if the hand holding the upper body portion 4 moves around the upper body portion 4.

[0042] 8(b), the stepped portion 52 is formed by providing a recess 4D that is lower than the upper body outer surface 41b and the through-hole-side inner surface 41a. This recess 4D is recessed toward the internal space S of the upper body 4 and is formed along part of the periphery of the gripping through-hole 42 in the upper body 4. When the upper body 4 has the stepped portion 52 formed by the recess 4D, the opening edge 71e (not shown) located on the upper body 4 side of the label opening 71 is located within the recess 4D in the circumferential direction of the upper body 4. This makes it less likely that the part of the upper body 4 gripped by one hand will come into contact with the opening edge 71e, resulting in excellent gripping (feel) of the upper body 4 and excellent roll-up prevention. The recess 4D in the upper body 4 of this embodiment can have the same configuration as the recess 5D in the grip portion 5 described above.

[0043] Next, a method for manufacturing the packaging container of the present invention will be described using as an example a method for manufacturing the packaging container 1 of the embodiment shown in FIG. 1 described above. The manufacturing method of this embodiment includes a molding process for forming the bottle container 10, a covering process for covering the outer surfaces of the upper body portion 4 and the grip portion 5 with a label 7 while the bottle is empty before filling it with contents, and a cutting process for forming a label opening 71 in the label 7 by laser cutting.

[0044] The molding process of this embodiment is performed using a known blow molding method. For example, a cylindrical parison formed by extruding molten resin is sandwiched between a pair of molds, and air is blown into the parison to form the bottle container 10. During this process, the nozzle portion 2, upper body portion 4, lower body portion 3, shoulder portion 46, and grip portion 5 are molded integrally, and the grip through-hole 42 is also formed (see FIG. 9(a)). In addition, a protrusion 5P that forms the step portion 52 is molded along part of the periphery of the grip through-hole 42.

[0045] In the covering step of this embodiment, the outer surface of an empty bottle container 10 is covered with a label 7 to obtain a labeled bottle container 10a. More specifically, the label 7 is wrapped around the molded bottle container 10, and both ends of the label 7 are attached with an adhesive or the like to form a cylindrical shape, and then the cylindrical label 7 is thermally shrunk by heating so that the label 7 is in close contact with the outer surface of the bottle container 10. That is, in this embodiment, the label 7 is attached to the bottle container 10 by shrinking it along the outer surface of the bottle container 10 without using an adhesive. Heating means for shrinking the label 7 can be, for example, steam or hot air. By this covering process, the outer surface of the lower body portion 3 as well as the upper body portion 4 and the grip portion 5 are covered with the label 7, and the opening 42a of the grip through-hole 42 is also covered with the label 7 (see FIG. 9(b)). In other words, the grip through-hole 42 is not exposed during the covering process.

[0046] In the cutting step of this embodiment, the labeled bottle container 10a obtained in the covering step is laser-cut around the opening 42a of the grip through-hole 42 to form a label opening 71 in the label 7 (see Figure 9(c)). The type of laser is not particularly limited as long as it can cut the label 7, and a carbon dioxide laser, YAG laser, YVO4 laser, etc. can be used.

[0047] The bottle container 10 (labeled bottle container) is also empty during the cutting process. The heating temperature of the label 7 due to laser irradiation is more likely to rise in an empty labeled bottle container than in a labeled bottle container filled with contents (liquid), so the opening edge 71e tends to float above the surface of the gripping portion 5. This makes it easier for the label gripping portion 73 to peel off from the opening edge 71e, but the packaging container 1 of this embodiment is provided with the aforementioned step portion 52, which effectively prevents the label gripping portion 73 from peeling off. In other words, the configuration of the packaging container 1 of this embodiment is suitable for performing laser cutting on empty labeled bottle containers.

[0048] The present invention is not limited to the above-described embodiments and can be modified as appropriate. The above-described embodiments may also be combined. For example, the packaging container 1 in the above-described embodiment has a step portion 52 at the boundary between the gripping inner surface 54 and the gripping outer surface 51 on each side of the parting line PL, but it may also have a step portion 52 at the boundary on only one side of the parting line PL. Furthermore, in the above-described embodiment, the gripping through-hole 42 has an inner diameter that is smallest at the position of the parting line PL and gradually increases in diameter toward the opening 42a located outward in the depth direction X. However, the gripping through-hole 42 may have a constant inner diameter in the depth direction X. [Explanation of symbols]
