A water leakage checking method determines that water leakage occurs in a repair valve 3, when in a state where the repair valve 3 is closed, a hollow pin 22 with both ends open is inserted into the air valve hole 6 and its tip side pushes the float valve body 5 downward, and then water in the valve box 4 passes through the hollow pin 22 and is continuously discharged from its rear end side.
