Abstract

To detect a remaining amount of ink stored in a storage container.SOLUTION: A liquid remaining amount detection apparatus includes: an irradiation unit that radiates, toward a storage container storing a liquid, vibration waves that transmit through the storage container and are partially reflected by the liquid; a receiving unit that receives, among the vibration waves, a reflected wave reflected at a liquid level end portion of the liquid stored in the storage container; and a determination unit that determines whether an amount of the liquid stored in the storage container is a predetermined amount based on a reception result of the reflected wave by the receiving unit.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
