Abstract
Description
[Technical Field]
[0001] The present invention relates to a non-aqueous composition suitable for use as a cosmetic, such as for hair applications, and a hair treatment method using the composition. [Background technology]
[0002] Treatment using a non-aqueous composition suitable as a leave-in treatment can impart a different feel to hair than aqueous treatments. Volatile cyclic silicones such as decamethylcyclopentasiloxane are known as commonly used ingredients in non-aqueous compositions, but due to the increasing global demand for cosmetics, there are concerns about their supply. Under these circumstances, there is a need to reduce the amount of volatile cyclic silicones used.
[0003] Volatile hydrocarbons and volatile acyclic silicones are considered to be candidates for alternative ingredients to volatile cyclic silicones. As an example of a non-aqueous composition containing these candidate alternative ingredients, Patent Document 1 discloses an oily hair cosmetic composition containing a volatile hydrocarbon oil, a vegetable oil, and dimethiconol with a viscosity of 10,000 mPa·s or more and 5,000,000 mPa·s or less at 25°C (see claim 1 of Patent Document 1). [Prior art documents] [Patent documents]
[0004] [Patent Document 1] Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 2008-273902 Summary of the Invention [Problem to be solved by the invention]
[0005] However, when a non-aqueous composition is exposed to light, the composition may develop or develop turbidity. [0045] (viscosity) When the viscosity of the non-aqueous composition of this embodiment is measured using a Brookfield viscometer (temperature: 25°C, rotor: set appropriately according to viscosity, rotor rotation speed: set appropriately according to viscosity), the value measured 60 seconds after the start of viscosity measurement is preferably 1000 mPa·s to 20,000 mPa·s, more preferably 3000 mPa·s to 15,000 mPa·s, more preferably 4000 mPa·s to 12,000 mPa·s, and even more preferably 5000 mPa·s to 10,000 mPa·s. A viscosity of 1000 mPa·s or higher can prevent dripping when applied to the hand, and a viscosity of 20,000 mPa·s or lower can easily be spread on the hair surface. When used by spraying, the viscosity is preferably less than 10,000 mPa·s to facilitate spraying.
[0046] (Application) The non-aqueous composition of this embodiment is preferably used as a hair treatment composition. The hair treatment method in this use is, for example, use as a leave-in treatment. When used in this manner, the target is hair that has been chemically treated (by oxidation hair dyeing, bleaching, straightening, or the like) or hair that has not been chemically treated. For example, the non-aqueous composition of this embodiment is sprayed or applied by hand to dry hair or to wet hair that has been towel-dried after washing, and then dried with warm air as needed.
[0047] When the non-aqueous composition of the present embodiment is used as a product, the product may include, for example, the non-aqueous composition of the present embodiment and a container for containing the composition. In addition, in Table 3, <1> By comparing Comparative Example 3a with Comparative Example 3b in which component (B) was added to Comparative Example 3a, it was found that the incorporation of component (B) promoted the progression of cloudiness; <2> By comparing Examples 3a to 3b with Comparative Example 3b, it can be confirmed that component (D) was excellent at suppressing the progression of cloudiness, even when component (B), which promotes the progression of cloudiness, was blended.
[0058] [Table 3]
[0059] The following Table 4 shows the components and blend amounts of the compositions according to Comparative Examples 4a to 4c, as well as the evaluation results of their ability to inhibit the progression of cloudiness. <1> By comparing Comparative Example 4a with Comparative Example 4b, in which component (B) was further blended into Comparative Example 4a, it was confirmed that the blending of component (B) promoted the progression of cloudiness. <2> In Comparative Example 4c, unlike Examples 3a and 3b, it can be confirmed that the component (D) was unable to suppress the progress of clouding, which was promoted by the addition of component (B).
[0060] [Table 4]
[0061] The following Table 5 shows the components and blend amounts of the compositions according to Examples 5a to 5b and Reference Examples 1 to 3, as well as the evaluation results of their ability to inhibit the progression of cloudiness. <1> Comparative Examples 5a and 5b, in which component (C) was blended, resulted in more advanced clouding than Reference Example 1, in which component (C) was not blended; <2> On the other hand, it can be confirmed that Reference Examples 2 and 3, which contained an oily component other than component (C), such as isostearyl isostearate, had evaluation results equivalent to those of Reference Example 1.
