12. The method according to claim 11, wherein the potato content in the raw material is at least 70% by weight based on 100% by weight of the raw material for hash browns.

13. The method according to claim 11 or 12, wherein the potato content in the raw material is 70 to 95% by weight relative to 100% by weight of the raw material for hash brown potatoes.

14. 13. The method according to claim 11 or 12, wherein after the mixture has been shaped, the shaped body is frozen without heating.

15. 13. The method of claim 11 or 12, further comprising heating the formed body after forming the mixture and before freezing the formed body.

16. 13. The method of claim 11 or 12, further comprising, after shaping the mixture, applying a batter to the formed bodies before freezing them.

17. A method for suppressing crumbling of frozen hash browns during cooking, characterized by blending 0.03 to 3% by weight of glucomannan with 100% by weight of raw materials for hash browns.

18. The method of claim 17, wherein the potato content in the raw material is at least 70% by weight based on 100% by weight of the raw material for hash browns.

19. The method according to claim 17 or 18, wherein the potato content in the raw material is 70 to 95% by weight relative to 100% by weight of the raw material for hash brown potatoes.
