[0007] One type of handle grip for spinning reels is the so-called round handle, which has at least a portion that is roughly spherical. This part is particularly prone to scratches among all parts of the reel. Scratches in this area reduce the appearance and commercial value of the reel, which can be a significant problem for high-end reels. Scratches also adversely affect the feel of the handle in your hand, making fishing more uncomfortable, so it's important to prevent them from getting scratched.
[0008] Round handle grips (hereinafter referred to as handle grips) are often made of slippery materials such as metal or resin, which can cause your hand to slip when a fish is hooked, causing the fish to escape, so you want to prevent this. Because the handle is slippery, it is necessary to grip it with a certain amount of force, which can be tiring. We would like to reduce this fatigue.
[0009] It is also desirable to be able to choose different levels of slipperiness and feel when turning the handle depending on the fishing situation.
[0010] In addition, we would like to solve the problem of obtaining a spinning reel with a handle cover that is easily attached and detached, has the optimum size and is made of the optimum material, and is perfectly fitted, rather than having to select a round handle cover (hereinafter referred to as the handle cover) and insert and attach it yourself, by having a knowledgeable or experienced person select the handle cover of the present invention that is best suited to the reel in advance, i.e., during the production of the reel or before it is sold.
[0011] Furthermore, the handle grip cover, including the handle grip cover that has been attached to the reel in advance, should be inexpensive and easily replaceable if damaged or if you wish to replace it with one with a different surface property depending on the fishing conditions. [Means for solving the problem]
[0012] To create a freely replaceable spinning reel handle handle cover made of an elastic material, which has a hole at the center of each of the roughly hemispherical parts when the roughly spherical, thin-walled, hollow handle handle cover is assumed to be divided into two hemispherical parts, one on the handle lever side and the other on the handle handle protrusion side, and at least one of the holes is stretched and inserted into the handle handle, and is sized to allow the maximum diameter of the handle handle to pass through without breaking.
[0013] In addition, other holes may be added as appropriate in addition to the above holes. The holes are generally round, but other shapes are also acceptable. Thin means 1 mm or less to several mm. The thickness of the handle grip cover does not necessarily have to be uniform throughout, and it may be thickened locally, for example, around holes, etc. This will change the feel in your hand when using the handle with the front and back sides reversed.
[0014] The term "approximately spherical" includes those that are roughly spherical as a whole, as shown in Figures 4(A) and (B), those with flat ends and roughly spherical portions in other parts, as shown in Figure 2(A), and those with a roughly spherical central portion with a cylindrical shape, as shown in Figure 3(D). The term "approximately hemispherical portion" refers to the assumption that a thin, roughly spherical handle grip cover is divided into two hemispherical portions, and therefore the corresponding roughly hemispherical shape is used. The holes provided in the approximate centers of the hemispherical portions may be of the same size or may be of different sizes.
[0015] The term "stretchable material" refers to a highly elastic material such as rubber (hereinafter the same applies). Because handlebar grips come in a wide variety of sizes and shapes, and the same handlebar grip cover is attached to a variety of handlebar grips, the use of a stretchable material is an important requirement. Being replaceable means that if the handle grip cover is damaged or if you want to replace it with a handle grip cover having different surface properties depending on the fishing conditions, it can be easily removed and a different one can be attached.
[0016] Alternatively, spinning reels may be manufactured and sold with the handle grip covers already attached to the round handles. "Pre-attached" means that the spinning reels are sold with the handle grip covers already attached at the reel manufacturing factory or prior to sale. This allows for the insertion and installation of handle grip covers by a skilled worker who is familiar with the installation process, ensuring that the buyer receives a reel that is tightly fitted with the optimal elastic material, optimal surface texture, and optimal dimensions.
[0017] The elastic material is preferably silicone rubber.
[0018] The elastic material may be an elastic fiber. An elastic fiber is a fiber with excellent elasticity, also known as a stretch material. A typical example is polyurethane elastic fiber, but other examples include PTT fiber and side-by-side composite fiber, and are not limited thereto. [Effects of the Invention]
[0019] When a spinning reel is placed on the floor, the handle grip part comes into contact with the floor, and the floor applies force to the handle grip, making it easy for the surface to be scratched. Spinning reels are used when fishing from boats, but when left on the floor, for example, when a fishing boat or boat is traveling at sea, vibrations also add to the damage, making them more susceptible to scratches. As a result, the reel's appearance and commercial value decrease. This is particularly problematic for high-end reels. With this invention, the handle cover is the only part that comes into contact with the reel, preventing such damage. If the cover is damaged, it can be replaced with an inexpensive replacement.
[0020] Since the holes are provided in each of the hemispherical parts, when the handle handle cover is inserted and attached to the handle handle, air is not trapped between the handle handle cover and the handle handle, so there is no incomplete adhesion and the adhesion is improved, so that the handle handle cover does not slip off the handle handle during fishing.
[0021] Furthermore, since the holes are located on both sides of the handle grip cover, it stretches more uniformly and is attached to the handle grip with high adhesion, preventing it from coming off or slipping out of place. Also, since there are two or more holes, it is easier to attach and remove than with one hole. Also, the front and back of the handle cover can be reversed for use. By changing the size of the two holes, the number of round handle grips that can be attached increases, as you can choose which hole to insert and attach to the handle grip. As shown in Figure 4, by providing protrusions on one side or by changing the surface treatment on each side, it is possible to select the level of slip resistance and comfort for the hand depending on the fishing situation. One side may be made to be particularly slip-resistant.
[0022] When the handle grip is to be maintained, the cover is detachable, so that by removing it, maintenance such as application of grease or repainting can be performed.
[0023] The cover is made of a highly elastic and stretchable material like rubber, so it can be attached by stretching it through one of the holes on either side of the roughly spherical, thin cover and passing it through the largest diameter part of the handle, making it extremely easy to attach and remove.
[0024] In addition, the handle cover is made of a highly elastic and stretchable material like rubber, which provides cushioning and makes the handle soft to the touch when the angler holds it while fishing, allowing for comfortable fishing.
[0025] Using silicone rubber for the handle cover will result in high performance as it is durable, weather-resistant, water-resistant and corrosion-resistant. The use of elastic fabrics makes them easy to put on and take off because of their excellent elasticity, and they also feel good in the angler's hands, allowing for comfortable fishing.
[0026] If the reel is pre-inserted and fitted with the handle grip cover of the present invention, it can be inserted and fitted by someone skilled in the art at a reel production factory, etc., which allows for the selection of a stretchable material that is thicker and stronger, or that has greater cushioning and feels better in the hand, i.e., a material that feels better in the hand, and also allows for a material that fits better in terms of size to the handle grip. In other words, the range of stretchable material options is wider, as is the range of thickness options, which greatly improves the performance of the reel and handle grip cover.
[0027] Furthermore, for reel manufacturers and the like who are trying to technically realize a reel that will not scratch the handle cover, that also feels good to the angler when holding it and is non-slip, the use of the foot cover of the present invention does not affect the reel production process and is simply inserted and attached at the end, so there is no decrease in productivity in reel production and no need to change the reel design. [Brief explanation of the drawings]

[Figure 2] 1 is an embodiment illustrating a state in which a handle grip cover of the present invention is attached to a handle grip. [Figure 3] 10A and 10B are explanatory views of another embodiment of the handle grip cover of the present invention. [Figure 4] 10A and 10B are explanatory views of yet another embodiment of the handle grip cover of the present invention. [Figure 5] 10A and 10B are explanatory views of an embodiment of the handle grip cover of the present invention, in which holes of other shapes than round are provided. DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
[0029] Hereinafter, an embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings. The embodiment is not limited to this embodiment, and can be appropriately modified within the scope of the present invention.
[0030] Figure 1 is an explanatory diagram of one embodiment of a spinning reel equipped with a handle grip cover made of the stretchable material of the present invention. It is also an explanatory diagram of a spinning reel with the handle grip cover attached in advance. "In advance" means at the reel production stage at the factory or before the reel is sold.
[0031] Figure (A) is an explanatory diagram of a spinning reel viewed from the front, and Figure (B) is an explanatory diagram of the handle grip portion viewed from the side. A handle lever 6 is attached to the spinning reel 5, and a handle grip 2 is attached via a protruding portion 9 of the handle grip on the handle lever side. The end surface 2(A) of the handle grip 2 is flat. It does not have to be flat, but it can be slightly convex outward or have some other shape. A handle grip cover 1 is attached to the outer periphery of a handle grip 2 in close contact with the handle grip cover 1. To attach the handle cover 1, insert the handle 2 through the hole 4 on one side of the handle grip cover 1 from the end face 2(A) side. That is, extend the hole 4 and insert it through the maximum diameter 8 of the handle grip 2. As a result, the hole 4 comes to the side of the protruding part 9 on the handle lever side.
[0032] The holes are provided at approximately the center of each of the hemispheres of the roughly spherical handle grip cover 1. S is an imaginary line used to divide the hemisphere, S(A) is the hemisphere on one side, S(B) is the hemisphere on the other side, 3 is a hole in the hemisphere on one side, and 4 is a hole in the hemisphere on the other side, each located approximately in the center of the hemisphere. When attaching to the handle grip 2, it can be inserted through hole 3 or through hole 4. In this embodiment, it is inserted into the handle grip 2 through hole 4, and after insertion, hole 4 is located on the handle grip protruding portion 9 side of the handle lever.
[0033] FIG. 2 is an explanatory view of one embodiment of the handle grip cover 1. As shown in FIG. Figure (A) is an explanatory diagram viewed from the front, Figure (B) is an explanatory diagram viewed from the right side, Figure (C) is an explanatory diagram viewed from the left side, and Figure (C) is a diagram showing only the hole part of the handle grip cover. The hole 4 on one side of the handle handle cover 1 shown in Figure (C) is extended and inserted from the end face 2(A) side of the handle grip 2, allowing the largest diameter portion 8 of the round handle 2 to pass through. The hole then comes to the opposite side of the end face 2(A) as shown in Figure (C) as the hole 4, and the handle handle cover 1 is attached in close contact with the handle grip 2. Note that in Figure (C), the parts of the handle handle cover 1 other than the hole 4 are omitted, with the exception of the handle grip protruding portion 9 on the handle lever side.
[0034] In the specification, providing a hole in approximately the center of each hemisphere means, for example, as shown in Figure (2), assuming that the hemispheres are divided by an imaginary line S in the explanatory view (A) seen from the front, providing hole 3 in the center when viewed from above in the explanatory view (B) seen from the right side, and providing hole 4 in the center in the explanatory view (C) seen from the left side. The object of the present invention can be achieved even if the holes are not exactly in the center, as long as they are approximately in the center.
[0035] FIG. 3 is a view showing another embodiment of the handle grip cover 1. In FIG. The center of the handle grip 2 is spherical with a slight cylindrical shape. Figure (D) is an explanatory diagram seen from the front, Figure (E) is an explanatory diagram seen from the right side, and Figure (F) is an explanatory diagram seen from the left side. The periphery of the hole 4 of the handle grip cover 1 is stretched and passed through the end face 2(A) side of the handle grip 2 shown in Figures (D) and (E) to the maximum diameter 8 of the round handle 2, and attached in close contact with the handle grip 2. Note that in Figure (F), parts of the handle cover 1 other than the hole 4 are omitted, with the exception of the handle grip protruding portion 9 on the handle lever side.
[0036] In both the embodiment of Figure 2 and the embodiment of Figure 3, a hole 4 is provided approximately in the center of the hemisphere S(A) on one side of the imaginary line S that divides the handle grip cover into hemispheres, and a hole 3 is provided approximately in the center of the hemisphere S(B) on the other side.
[0037] FIG. 4 is an explanatory view of yet another embodiment of the handle grip cover of the present invention. A number of protrusions 10 are formed on the surface of one side of the handle handle cover 1, and Figure (A) shows an embodiment in which the handle handle cover is attached so that the protrusions 10 are on the outside of the handle handle cover 1, while Figure (B) shows an embodiment in which the handle handle cover is attached so that the protrusions 10 are on the inside of the handle handle cover 1. Both embodiments can be selected as appropriate by switching the front and back sides of the same handle grip cover 1. Whether the protrusion 10 is on the outside or inside can be selected as appropriate depending on the material of the handle grip 2, fishing conditions, etc. Even if there are no protrusions, by changing the surface treatment on the front and back of the handle grip cover 1 to change the slip resistance and feel in the hand, it is possible to select which side to face up or down depending on the fishing situation. As is the case with any of the embodiments shown in Figs. 1 to 5, the holes are provided in the approximate centres of the respective hemispheres, so that the handle grip cover 1 can be easily turned over and attached to the handle grip.
[0038] FIG. 5 shows yet another embodiment of the handle grip cover. Fig. (A) is an explanatory diagram showing the handle handle cover 1 attached to the handle handle 2 as seen from the front, Fig. (B) is an explanatory diagram showing only the handle handle cover 1 as seen from the front, and Fig. (C) is an explanatory diagram showing the same as seen from the right side. In this embodiment, the holes 11 provided on both sides of the thin, roughly spherical handle handle cover 1 are polygonal.
[0039] The holes 11 may be triangular, rectangular, elliptical or have any other hole shape. The shape of the hole may be appropriately selected from the viewpoint of ease of manufacturing the handle grip cover 1, etc. However, since the handle grip is roughly spherical, a round hole is better for the stability of the attachment of the handle grip cover 1 to the handle grip 2, as it allows the degree of elongation of each part of the handle grip cover 1 to be uniform.
[0040] Furthermore, the handle grip cover 1 is made of a highly elastic, stretchable material such as rubber. For example, when using silicone rubber, it is molded by compression molding, but it is not limited to this and injection molding or extrusion molding may also be used. Furthermore, when using other materials such as stretchable fibers, other manufacturing methods may also be used, and there are no limitations on the manufacturing method, including when using silicone rubber. [Industrial Applicability]
[0041] The handle grip cover of the present invention and the spinning reel with the handle grip cover pre-attached thereto can be produced and sold industrially, and have industrial applicability. [Explanation of symbols]
