In a storage system, a server, a storage device, and an encryption device are connected to ports of a fabric switch. Encryption management software of the server performs, on the basis of encryption setting information inputted to an encryption setting information storing unit from the outside and stored in the encryption setting information storing unit, connection setting for the ports of the fabric switch such that a path from the server to the storage on which encryption is performed passes through the encryption device and such that a path on which encryption is not performed does not pass through the encryption device. It is possible to freely switch a path on which encryption is performed simply by changing encryption setting information.

A gallium nitride-based light emitting device, and a method for manufacturing the same are provided. The light emitting device comprises a substrate; a main GaN-based LED including a first p-side electrode and a first n-side electrode, the main GaN-based LED formed in a first region on the substrate; and an ESD protecting GaN-based LED including a second p-side electrode and a second n-side electrode, the ESD protecting GaN-based LED formed in a second region on the substrate. The first region is separated from the second region by a device isolation region. The first p-side and n-side electrodes are electrically connected to the second n-side and p-side electrodes, respectively.

A combination writing pen and stylus is disclosed. The device has an internal ink cartridge deployable through a hole in the stylus tip. The stylus tip extends from a sleeve that is formed of a conductive elastomeric material. The sleeve extends up a rigid shaft of the device such that it contacts a sufficient ground. The stylus tip may be coated with a protective material that adjusts the coefficient of friction and prevents carbon deposits on the touch screen. A sufficient contact patch is achieved to simulate a human finger so as to overcome false positives from common touch screen logic. A mop assembly including a mop head and handle, and a supply of liquid connected to a valve assembly on the handle adjacent the mop head. The valve assembly includes a length of resiliently flexible tubing that has a portion extending transversely through the handle and first and second members on opposite sides of the length of tubing that are relatively movable between a closed position at which the first and second members pinch together opposite sides of the length of tubing to stop the flow of liquid through it, and an open position at which the first and second members are spaced apart to afford flow of liquid through it. An applicator with squeegee configurations is disclosed. The applicator has a removable cover. In accordance with the embodiments of the invention, the removable cover is sealed through a squeegee edge using a suitable adhesive. The removable cover can be formed from foil, plastic or any combination of suitable materials. In use, the removable cover is removed and the squeegee configuration is used to treat, clean and/or wipe a surface. In further embodiments of the invention, a medication, a cleaning agent or other surface treating substance is seal between the removable cover and the squeegee configuration. An eraser is placed on or near the end of the cover of a felt tip pen. The cover is inserted into the bottom of the pen or on the bottom of the pen itself. For a tapered cover type of pen, the eraser is placed on the flat upper end. For a raised or dimple type of cover, the eraser is placed concentrically around the end away from the dimple like a girdle or belt or flat on the bottom of the pen body. On a type of pen that resembles a fountain pen, the eraser is placed on the top cover on a flat area that may be slightly angled. The eraser can also be an annular ring on the base of the pen body. The present invention relates to an applicator for flowable materials to facilitate the repair of damaged metal coatings by allowing the user to quickly, safely, and accurately apply a metal coating solution to a specific portion of a metal surface, alleviating the need to re-immerse the entire metal item in a coating bath. This is particularly advantageous where the metal item is a portion of an automobile chassis or an aircraft which cannot be easily removed.
