Method for fabricating composite pressure vessels and products fabricated by the method

A process, and the product thereof, for making a composite vessel having at least one closed end, the process including the steps of: fabricating a thermoplastic liner for the vessel; overlaying onto the liner a layer of commingled fiber and thermoplastic material to obtain a composite intermediate structure; pressing and heating the composite intermediate structure to effect at least partial consolidation in apparatus which includes upper and lower silicon rubber bags, the bags having dimensions such that, during operation, their facing peripheral regions abut to encompass the composite intermediate structure; then placing the composite intermediate structure in a mold; heating the composite intermediate structure in the mold while applying a force, such as internal gas pressure, tending to urge the composite intermediate structure against and into the shape of the interior walls of the mold until the thermoplastic liner and the overlaid layer fully consolidate; cooling the mold and composite vessel until the composite vessel is solidified; and removing the formed composite vessel from the mold. The commingled fiber and thermoplastic material may either be wound onto the liner or laid on the liner in the form of fabric woven from the fiber and threads of the thermoplastic material.

The invention discloses a polyurethane / silicon rubber thermoplastic elastomer and a preparation method thereof, and provides a polyurethane / silicon rubber thermoplastic elastomer which can be repeatedly processed and has good mechanical property and fine heat and oil resistance and a preparation method thereof. The elastomer is composed of polyurethane, silicon rubber, a cross-linking agent, a catalyst and a compatilizer. The preparation method comprises the following steps: adding the polyurethane into a blending device from an intermixing machine or a two-screw extruder at the blending temperature of 160-200 DEG C, then adding the silicon rubber and the compatilizer to blend for 3-4 minutes, then adding the cross-linking agent, and finally, adding the catalyst; and reacting and blending for 6-7 minutes so as to obtain the dynamically vulcanized polyurethane / silicon rubber thermoplastic elastomer with high performance. Compared with other types of thermoplastic elastomers, the polyurethane / silicon rubber thermoplastic elastomer has the advantages of fine heat resistance, wear resistance and mechanical property and good hand feel, and can be widely applied to the fields of automobiles, buildings, medical instruments, cables and the like.

The invention provides a multi-dimensional parameter assessment method of an aging degree of a running composite insulator. The method comprises the following steps: firstly measuring hardness, hydrophobicity, a surface defect area, an infrared absorption peak corresponding to a Si-O-Si group, a trap charge amount and a flashover voltage of a high-temperature vulcanized silicone rubber test sample of an umbrella skirt of a target composite insulator; then performing quantitative processing on the measured data, and scoring the aging degrees of the processed feature parameters; performing weighted summation on the scores of the feature parameters to obtain a comprehensive feature parameter characterizing the aging degree of the composite insulator; and finally determining the aging degree of the insulator according to a corresponding relation between the size of the comprehensive feature parameter and the grade of the aging degree. According to the multi-dimensional parameter assessment method provided by the invention, the microscopic electrical characteristics and microscopic physical and chemical characteristics of the umbrella skirt material of the composite insulator are combined with macroscopic characteristics to realize the comprehensive assessment of the aging degree of the composite insulator. By adoption of the method, the one-sidedness of the traditional assessment method is avoided, and thus the accuracy of an assessment result is guaranteed.

An acceleration sensor in which a regulation plate is fixed with adhesive onto a support frame of a sensor chip of the sensor to limit the movement of a mass portion of the sensor chip within a predetermined gap range. In the acceleration sensor, the adhesion area of the adhesive can be controlled to a predetermined value to prevent a variation of the sensitivity due to the variation of the adhesion area. The sensor chip comprises the mass portion, the frame surrounding the mass portion and having on an upper surface of the frame a plurality of the recesses to fill adhesive into, elastic support arms bridging the mass portion and the frame, and strain gauges formed on the elastic support arms. The regulation plate is fixed with paste onto the frame with the predetermined gap with an upper surface of the mass portion. The paste contains hard plastic balls, of a diameter larger than the predetermined gap, mixed with adhesive. The adhesive is preferably of silicon-rubber resin.

The present invention is a cell phone holder and transmitter that is compact in size and is small and light in weight whereby it is capable of being clipped onto a holder attachment in a vehicle by a mounting clip and a gooseneck with affixed clip at the end. The holder of the cell phone itself also acts as the transmitter thereby minimizing the size and dimensions of the present invention. The present invention is capable of transmitting from an MP3 device, I-Pod or other media player. The present invention is also compatible with other devices utilizing a standard 3.5 mm audio output source. The present invention utilizes mounting surfaces composed of silicon rubber embedded in fluoride. Said combination of materials allows the formation of a secure seal for a cell phone while resting within the present invention and said material additionally allows a user to place and remove a cell phone of varying dimensions with minimum effort. A co-axial microphone wire cable of the present invention serves as a Frequency Modulation (FM) transmitter antenna. Said speaker and microphone wire cable antenna is composed of a copper alloy material to further its utility as an antenna. Said Transmitter sends signals to the FM band. Said FM band transmission is of a frequency at or between 88.1 and 88.9. Said present invention operates on less than 1 watt of output.

An electrical surge arrester is manufactured by securing a stack of metal oxide varistor blocks between end terminations by passing a rod through through-holes in the varistor blocks and securing the ends of the rod to the end terminations. The through-holes are larger than the rod cross-section and a silicone rubber material is injected into the void which otherwise would exist between the rod and the interior surfaces of the through-holes in the varistor blocks. The silicone rubber material is also moulded around the exterior of the stacked varistor blocks and forms a shedded external housing for the arrester. The silicone rubber coatings on the varistor block internal and external surfaces effects a passivation function and means that the passivation coatings normally provided on the surfaces of varistor blocks by their manufacturers at significant cost can be omitted.
