AI Technical Summary

Technical Problem

The existing magnetic levitation pumps have a long axial length due to the need for separate axial lengths for screwing the impeller and inserting the lid portion, leading to a risk of tilting and contact between the rotating body and the housing.

Method used

The magnetic levitation pump design includes a lid portion with a mounting portion on its outer circumference that is inserted into and attached to the cylindrical portion, and an impeller with a screw hole formed radially inward, allowing the lid to be shortened axially, and the impeller to be detachably attached, thereby reducing the overall axial length.

Benefits of technology

The design results in a more compact rotating body, reducing the risk of tilting and contact with the housing, while enabling easy replacement of components like the rotor and rotating magnetic parts.

Abstract

The present invention provides a magnetic levitation pump that allows for a compact configuration of the rotating body in the axial direction. [Solution] The magnetic levitation pump of the present disclosure comprises a housing having an inlet and an outlet for a fluid to be transferred; a rotating body disposed within the housing, having a cylindrical portion rotatable around an axis and a lid portion that closes an opening on one axial side of the cylindrical portion; a magnetic bearing having a fixed magnetic portion provided in the housing and a rotating magnetic portion provided on the rotating body opposite the fixed magnetic portion, which supports the rotating body in a non-contact manner by magnetic repulsion force generated between the fixed magnetic portion and the rotating magnetic portion; and an impeller provided on the lid portion within the housing, wherein the lid portion has a mounting portion on its outer circumference that is inserted into and attached to the cylindrical portion, and a screw hole opening on one axial side is formed radially inward from the outer circumference of the lid portion, and the impeller has a first male screw that is screwed into the screw hole of the lid portion.
