Abstract

To provide compositions and methods for treating diseases or conditions associated with insufficient opening of Cx43 hemichannels in osteocytes, preferably for treating cancer, cancer metastasis, osteosarcoma, osteoporosis, or osteopenia. [Solution] In one embodiment, an anti-Cx43 antibody or an antigen-binding fragment thereof is provided herein, comprising: first, second, and third heavy chain complementarity-determining region (CDR) sequences having the amino acid sequences of SEQ ID NOs. 1, 2, and 3, respectively; and first, second, and third light chain CDR sequences having the amino acid sequences of SEQ ID NOs. 4, 5, and 6, respectively.
