Abstract
The endovascular prosthesis includes a scaffold having multiple radially expandable circumferential rings aligned along a longitudinal axis, with circumferential gaps between them. At least a portion of the expandable rings include cells containing struts joined by a crown, the midpoint in the struts of the cells having a radius R measured from the longitudinal axis of the scaffold, and the midpoint in the gaps between circumferentially adjacent cells having a radius r measured from the longitudinal axis of the scaffold. The outer surface of the scaffold maintains at least 97% roundness, measured as r / R × 100, after the scaffold has been radially expanded up to 200% from the delivery radius, and the scaffold is configured to expand radially in situ in the target vessel from the delivery configuration to the deployed configuration.
