Abstract
Claims
1. A cutting tool comprising a cemented carbide base material, wherein the cemented carbide comprises WC particles, η-phase particles, and a metal binder, the metal binder comprises Co and Cr, the Co content in the cemented carbide is 6 to 18% by weight, the Cr / Co weight ratio in the cemented carbide is 2% to 12%, the η-phase content in the cemented carbide is 1 to 10% by volume, the average particle size of the η-phase particles is 0.5 to 5 μm, and the cemented carbide further comprises one or more of Ti, Ta, Nb, and V such that the Ti / Co weight ratio is ≤0.3%, the Ta / Co weight ratio is ≤1.0%, the Nb / Co weight ratio is ≤0.5%, and the V / Co weight ratio is ≤5.0%, and the weight ratio (Ti + Ta + Nb + V) / Co is ≥0.04%.
2. The cutting tool according to claim 1, wherein the Co content in the cemented carbide is 10 to 15% by weight.
