Abstract

This invention relates to a short-process manufacturing method for ultra-thin high-silicon steel strips. The method includes a smelting process, a twin-roll strip continuous casting process, a hot rolling process, a stress relief annealing process, a pickling process, a cold rolling process, and a recrystallization annealing process. The method of this invention is environmentally friendly and, by using a twin-roll strip continuous casting machine for continuous casting, effectively suppresses the transformation of the ordered phase of high-silicon steel during the solidification process at an extremely fast cooling rate, thereby reducing the ordered phase content in the high-silicon steel casting strip, lowering the degree of order, and improving processing performance. Furthermore, this method eliminates the need for the hot rolling process, which involves excessive reduction in the amount of material removed, and prevents cracking of high-silicon steel sheets caused by excessive reduction during the rolling process. According to this method, ultra-thin high-silicon steel strips with excellent overall magnetic performance can be manufactured without edge cutting.
