Abstract

An object detection device (100) comprises: light-emitting parts (31, 32, 33, 34) for emitting light; a light-receiving part (40) for receiving reflected light of light from the light-emitting parts (31, 32, 33, 34) reflected by an object; and a detecting part (51) for detecting, in a state in which a first period in which the light-receiving part (40) receives light from a light source other than the light-emitting parts (31, 32, 33, 34) and a second period in which the quantity of light received from a light source by the light-receiving part (40) is smaller than in the first period repeat alternately, an object in accordance with the quantity of light received by the light-receiving part (40) in the second period.
