Description

[Technical field]

[0001] The present invention relates to a writing instrument, and more particularly to a writing instrument such as a marking pen that includes at least a pen tip and a holder that holds the pen tip. [Background technology]

[0002] In conventional writing instruments of this type, for example, Patent Document 1 describes a writing instrument in which a pen body forming a writing part is arranged at the tip of a barrel, and the pen body is supported so that it can be tilted freely so that the entire writing part comes into contact with the writing surface due to the force applied to the barrel as writing is performed.

[0003] 11 and 12 show state 1 when writing on paper with a conventional writing implement, and Fig. 13 and 14 show state 2 when writing on paper with a conventional writing implement. State 1 refers to a state in which the writing angle θ (i.e., the angle between the axis of the writing implement and the paper surface) is approximately 90 degrees when the writing implement is viewed as a whole from a direction along the extension of the long side where the writing part contacts the paper surface, and state 2 refers to a state in which the axis of the writing implement is inclined with respect to the paper surface (for example, the writing angle θ is approximately 30 degrees to approximately 60 degrees) when the writing implement is viewed as a whole from a direction along the extension of the long side where the writing part contacts the paper surface. When actually writing, either state 1 or state 2 can occur.

[0004] Note that Figures 11 to 14 only show the posture of the writing instrument when writing (i.e., the writing angle θ and the direction D in which the writing instrument moves when writing, etc.), and omit the structure etc. described in Patent Document 1. [0005] [Patent Document 1] JP 2005-297540 A Summary of the Invention [Problem to be solved by the invention]

[0006] In Patent Document 1, in the case of State 1, the force F applied to the barrel in the direction perpendicular to the paper surface as writing occurs exists within the imaginary plane P along which the pen body tilts. In other words, the force F applied to the barrel in the direction perpendicular to the paper surface as writing occurs acts directly as a force for tilting the pen body. As a result, the pen body tilts so that the entire writing part comes into contact with the writing surface, making it easy to draw a line of a constant width.

[0007] However, in the case of the state 2, the force F applied to the barrel in the direction perpendicular to the paper surface during writing does not exist within the imaginary plane P along which the pen body tilts. In other words, only a portion of the force F applied to the barrel in the direction perpendicular to the paper surface during writing acts as a force for tilting the pen body. This makes it difficult for the pen body to tilt appropriately, and there is a risk that writing will be performed with only a portion of the writing part, rather than the entire writing part, in contact with the writing surface.

[0008] Furthermore, when the writing implement is moved in direction D in state 2, a force is applied to the pen body in the opposite direction to the barrel (i.e., a force in the direction in which the pen body is pulled). The force required to tilt the pen body is in the opposite direction to the force in the direction in which the pen body is pulled. This makes it difficult for the pen body to tilt properly, and there is a risk that writing will be done with only part of the writing part in contact with the writing surface (with the entire writing part not in contact with the paper).

[0009] As described above, in the case of state 2, the tilting mechanism does not operate properly and the pen body cannot be tilted so that the entire writing part comes into contact with the writing surface, which may make it difficult to draw a line of a consistent width.

[0010] In addition, since the ink absorbing body is formed with a tilt-permitting groove that allows tilting of the ink guide part of the pen body inserted therein, the contact condition between the ink guide part of the pen body and the ink absorbing body changes every time writing, making the contact condition unstable, and there is a risk that stable ink ejection from the pen body will not be obtained.

[0011] The present invention aims to solve the above-mentioned problems of the conventional art by providing a writing implement that allows the entire writing part to contact the paper surface and ensures a consistent line width regardless of the angle of the pen tip relative to the paper surface. In the present invention, "front" refers to the pen tip side, and "rear" refers to the opposite side. [Means for solving the problem]

[0012] The first invention of the present application is a writing instrument comprising at least a pen tip and a holding member for holding the pen tip, wherein the front part of the pen tip has a generally rectangular cross section and is provided with a writing part at its tip that contacts the paper surface, the tip part of the holding member is provided with a holding part having a generally rectangular cross section that surrounds the front part of the pen tip, the writing part protrudes forward from the tip of the holding member, and the side wall of the holding part on the long side of the generally rectangular cross section of the pen tip is provided with a notch-shaped opening whose front end is open forward and whose rear end is closed, and wherein the opening allows the pen tip to flex and deform towards the long side when writing.

[0013] In the writing instrument of the first invention, the front part of the tip of the pen tip has a writing part which has a roughly rectangular cross section and contacts the paper surface at its tip, the tip of the holding member has a holding part which has a roughly rectangular cross section and surrounds the front part of the pen tip, the writing part protrudes forward from the tip of the holding member, and the side wall of the holding part on the long side of the roughly rectangular cross section of the pen tip has a notch-shaped opening which is open at its front end and closed at its rear end, and the opening allows the pen tip to flex and deform towards the long side when writing, so that the entire writing part contacts the paper surface regardless of the angle of the pen tip relative to the paper surface, and a consistent line width can be reliably obtained.

[0014] A second aspect of the present invention is a writing instrument according to the first aspect of the present invention, wherein the width of the opening is greater than the width of the long side of the substantially rectangular cross section of the pen tip.

[0015] In the writing instrument of the second invention, the width of the opening is greater than the width of the long side of the approximately rectangular cross section of the pen tip, which allows the pen tip to flex and deform more reliably toward the long side when writing, so that the entire writing part comes into contact with the paper surface regardless of the angle of the pen tip relative to the paper surface, ensuring a consistent line width.

[0016] The third invention of the present application is a writing instrument according to the first or second invention, wherein the holding member is provided with a pair of support pieces that come into contact with the paper surface when writing, at the tip ends of both side walls of the holding portion on the short side of the approximately rectangular cross section of the pen tip.

[0017] The writing instrument of the third invention is The holding member is provided with a pair of support pieces that come into contact with the paper surface when writing, at the tips of both side walls of the holding part on the short side of the approximately rectangular cross section of the pen tip.The contact of the pair of support pieces with the paper surface prevents damage to the pen tip due to excessive bending, and the contact of the pair of support pieces with the paper surface can serve as a guide for the writing pressure when the entire writing part is in contact with the paper surface.

[0018] In addition, by having the pair of support pieces come into contact with the paper surface, when using a ruler or the like to draw a line on the paper, the support pieces come into contact with the ruler or the like, and the tip of the pen does not come into contact with the ruler or the like, preventing the ruler from being soiled by ink. It is also possible to prevent dirt on the ruler from transferring to the tip of the pen and smudging the handwriting when writing.

[0019] The fourth invention of the present application is a writing instrument according to any one of the first to third inventions, which comprises a barrel connected to the holding member, the rear of the holding member being attached to the front of the barrel, a first abutment wall portion being formed on the inner surface of the holding member, a second abutment wall portion being formed on the inner surface of the barrel, and the outer surface of the nib being clamped in the front-to-rear direction by the first abutment wall portion and the second abutment wall portion.

[0020] The writing instrument of the fourth invention comprises a barrel connected to the holding member, the rear of the holding member is attached to the front of the barrel, a first abutment wall portion is formed on the inner surface of the holding member, and a second abutment wall portion is formed on the inner surface of the barrel, and the outer surface of the nib is clamped in the front-to-rear direction by the first abutment wall portion and the second abutment wall portion, thereby preventing the nib from falling off the holding member or becoming embedded in the holding member (front barrel) and accurately maintaining the amount of protrusion of the nib from the holding member.

[0021] The fifth invention of the present application is a writing instrument according to any one of the first to fourth inventions, wherein the rear end edge of the opening is formed in a substantially straight line, the top of the writing part is formed in a substantially straight line, and the angle of the rear end edge with respect to the axis is substantially the same as the angle of the top of the writing part with respect to the axis. The requirements are as follows.

[0022] The writing instrument of the fifth invention is The rear edge of the opening is formed in an approximately straight line, the top of the writing part is formed in an approximately straight line, and the angle of the rear edge relative to the axis is approximately the same as the angle of the top of the writing part relative to the axis.As a result, the load on the pen tip caused by bending of the pen tip is applied evenly to the front part of the pen tip, better preventing damage to the pen tip.

[0023] The angle of the rear edge with respect to the axis refers to the angle of the portion of the angle between the rear edge and the axis that is 90 degrees or less, and the angle of the tip of the writing part with respect to the axis refers to the portion of the angle between the tip and the axis that is 90 degrees or less. In other words, the fact that these two angles are substantially the same indicates that the rear edge and the tip are substantially parallel. These angles are set to be 30 degrees or more and 90 degrees or less, and preferably 45 degrees or more and 90 degrees or less.

[0024] The sixth invention of the present application is a writing instrument according to any one of the first to fifth inventions, wherein the nib is any one of a fiber nib, a felt nib, a nib made of a porous material having open cells, and a plastic nib having an axial capillary passage.

[0025] In the writing instrument of the sixth invention, the nib is any one of a fiber nib, a felt nib, a nib made of a porous material with open bubbles, and a plastic nib with an axial capillary passage, so that the nib is flexible and can bend and deform toward the long side more reliably, and the entire writing part comes into contact with the paper surface regardless of the angle of the nib relative to the paper surface, ensuring a consistent line width.

[0026] A seventh aspect of the present invention is a writing instrument according to any one of the first to sixth aspects, wherein an outer surface of the barrel is provided with a direction identifying portion for identifying the orientation of the pen tip.

[0027] The writing instrument of the seventh invention is provided with a direction identification portion on the outer surface of the barrel that identifies the direction of the pen tip, so that there is no need to visually check the direction of the pen tip immediately before writing, and the pen tip can be exposed and used for writing immediately after.

[0028] The eighth invention of the present application is a writing instrument comprising a pen tip and a holding member for holding the pen tip, wherein the pen tip protrudes forward from the tip of the holding member, a notched opening is formed in the side wall of the tip of the holding member, and a full width direction of a certain longitudinal dimension portion of the pen tip located rearward of the tip of the holding member is exposed through the opening.

[0029] In the writing instrument of the eighth invention, the pen tip protrudes forward from the tip of the holding member, and a notch-shaped opening is formed in the side wall of the tip of the holding member, and the entire width direction of a certain longitudinal dimension portion of the pen tip located rearward of the tip of the holding member is exposed through the opening, so that the entire writing part comes into contact with the paper surface regardless of the angle of the pen tip relative to the paper surface, and a consistent line width is reliably obtained. Effect of the Invention

[0030] According to the writing implement of the present invention, the entire writing part comes into contact with the paper surface regardless of the angle of the pen tip relative to the paper surface, and a consistent line width can be reliably obtained. [Brief description of the drawings]

[Figure 14]FIG. 14 is a perspective view of FIG. DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

[0032] An embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings.

[0033] 1 to 10 show an embodiment of a writing instrument 1 according to the present invention.

[0034] The writing instrument 1 mainly comprises a pen tip 2, a holding member 3 that holds the pen tip 2, an ink occlusion body 6, and a front barrel 4 and a rear barrel 5 that house the ink occlusion body 6. The holding member 3 is press-fitted into a holding member fitting portion 44 of the front barrel 4.

[0035] Pen tip The pen tip 2 is made of a porous material having open cells, one end of which protrudes forward from the tip of the holding member 3 as the writing part 21, and the other end (rear part 25) is connected in a piercing manner to one end of the ink occlusion body 6. The writing part 21 is ground into a chisel shape. The writing part 21 is not limited to a chisel shape, and may be ground into a shape according to the purpose, such as a bullet shape, a rectangular shape, a square prism shape, or a plate shape. The form of the writing instrument 1 of the present invention is not limited to the illustrated example, and may be a double-ended writing instrument in which pen bodies of different shapes are attached to both ends of the ink occlusion body 6.

[0036] 8 and 9, when the writing instrument 1 is viewed as a whole from a direction along an extension of the long side where the writing part 21 contacts the paper surface 7, it is preferable that the writing part 21 of the pen tip 2 has a convex curved R shape at the top 22. In the present invention, the pen tip 2 flexes so that the entire writing part contacts the paper surface 7 regardless of the angle of the pen tip relative to the paper surface 7, and a constant line width can be reliably obtained, so that the top 22 is preferably R-shaped so that the top 22 reliably contacts the paper surface 7.

[0037] As shown in Figs. 4 and 6, the pen tip 2 is made up of a front portion 23 having a writing portion 21 at the tip, a cylindrical central portion 24 whose outer surface is sandwiched in the front-rear direction by the holding member 3 and the front shaft 4, and a cylindrical pen tip 25 connected to one end of the ink occlusion body 6 in a piercing manner. rear end The front portion 23 of the pen tip 2 has a generally rectangular cross section, and has flexibility that allows the front portion 23 of the pen tip 2 to bend and deform toward the long side of the generally rectangular cross section during writing.

[0038] The pen tip 2 is made of a porous synthetic resin having open bubbles. The pen tip 2 may be any other material as long as it is flexible and allows ink to flow through it, and specific examples of the material include fiber pen tips, felt pen tips, calligraphy pen tips, and plastic pen tips having a capillary passage in the axial direction.

[0039] Ink occlusion body The ink occlusion body 6 may be any material having continuous pores that can be impregnated with ink, and examples of such materials include a heat-sealed fiber bundle, a resin-processed fiber bundle, a resin-processed felt, a needle-punched felt, a porous body (for example, a synthetic resin open-cell body such as a sponge), etc. The ink occlusion body 6 may also be configured to have an outer skin made of a synthetic resin film or the like on its outer circumferential surface.

[0040] ·Front axis Front barrel 4 is a cylindrical body with both ends open, obtained by injection molding or extrusion molding of synthetic resin. As shown in FIG. 4, the inner surface of the front end of front barrel 4 is formed with a retaining member fitting portion 44 into which the outer surface of the rear end of retaining member 3 (fourth rib 37d) is press-fitted. Furthermore, a plurality of (eight in this example) vertical ribs 43 extending in the axial direction are formed integrally and at equal intervals on the rear inner circumferential surface of retaining member fitting portion 44 of front barrel 4. First abutment wall portion 36 of retaining member 3 and second abutment wall portion 41 at the front end of vertical rib 43 form a pen. destinationThe third abutment wall 42 at the rear end of the vertical rib 43 holds the central portion 24 of the ink occlusion body 6 in the front-rear direction. This makes it possible to prevent the pen tip 2 from falling off the holding member 3 or being buried in the holding member 3 (front barrel 4), and also makes it possible to accurately regulate the amount of protrusion of the pen tip 2 from the holding member 3. In addition, the third abutment wall 42 at the rear end of the vertical rib 43 holds the front end of the ink occlusion body 6 in the front-rear direction.

[0041] The rear axle 5 connected to the rear end of the front axle 4 is a cylindrical body with a bottom, an open front end and a closed rear end, and is made by injection molding of a synthetic resin (such as polypropylene). The front axle 4 is airtightly fitted to the rear axle 5 by screwing or press-fitting.

[0042] The front barrel 4 has on its outer surface a direction identifying portion 45 consisting of a protrusion extending in the axial direction that identifies the direction of the pen tip 2. This eliminates the need to visually check the direction of the pen tip 2 immediately before writing, and allows writing and use immediately after exposing the pen tip 2.

[0043] Holding material The holding member 3 is a cylindrical body obtained by injection molding of synthetic resin with both ends open. As shown in FIG. 5, a pair of first ribs 37a (two in this case) extending in the axial direction is formed on the inner surface of both side walls on the long side of the holding member 3, into which the front part 23 of the pen tip 2 is press-fitted. A pair of second ribs 37b (two in this case) extending in the axial direction is formed on the inner surface of both side walls on the short side of the holding member 3, which reinforces the support piece 35 described later. As shown in FIG. 7, the second ribs 37b are preferably not in contact with the front part 23 of the pen tip 2, but may be in contact with it. When the second ribs 37b are not in contact with the front part 23 of the pen tip 2, not only the support piece 35 is reinforced, but the flexibility of the writing part 21 of the pen tip 2 can be further increased.

[0044] When writing, when the pen tip 2 bends, the side surface of the front portion 23 of the pen tip 2 is supported by the front end of the first rib 37a before contacting the rear end edge portion 34. The front ends of the first rib 37a and the second rib 37b are provided with a chamfered or convex curved R shape. This makes it possible to prevent excessive load from being applied to the front portion 23 of the pen tip 2 by the front ends of the first rib 37a and the second rib 37b when the pen tip 2 bends. This also makes it possible to prevent the front portion 23 of the pen tip 2 from coming into contact with the rear end edge portion 34 described below when the pen tip 2 bends, and reliably prevents the pen tip 2 from breaking or being damaged.

[0045] A plurality of (four in this case) third ribs 37c extending in the axial direction are formed at equal intervals on the inner surface having a circular cross section at the rear end of the holding member 3, into which central portion 24 of nib 2 is press-fitted. A plurality of (six in this case) fourth ribs 37d extending in the axial direction are formed at equal intervals on the outer surface having a circular cross section at the rear end of the holding member 3, into which central portion 24 of nib 2 is press-fitted. A communication hole formed by fourth rib 37d and holding member fitting portion 44 of front barrel 4 functions as an air circulation hole, enabling smooth ink ejection from the nib 2.

[0046] As shown in Fig. 2 or 3, the holding member 3 has a holding portion 31 with a substantially rectangular cross section at its tip that surrounds the front portion 23 of the pen tip 2, and the writing portion 21 protrudes forward from the tip of the holding member 3. The holding member 3 also has a notch-shaped opening 33 on both side walls 32 of the holding portion 31 on the long side of the substantially rectangular cross section of the pen tip 2, the front end of which is open forward and the rear end of which is closed, and the width of which is greater than the width of the long side of the substantially rectangular cross section of the pen tip 2. This allows the front portion 23 of the pen tip 2 to bend and deform toward the long side during writing, and the entire writing portion comes into contact with the paper surface 7 regardless of the angle of the pen tip 2 with respect to the paper surface 7, ensuring that a constant line width is obtained.

[0047] The opening 33 may be provided on only one side wall 32 of the holding portion 31, but providing it on both side walls 32 allows the user to bend in the appropriate direction regardless of whether they are left-handed or right-handed, making it more convenient.

[0048] In addition, even if the user is right-handed, it is assumed that the user will draw a line horizontally from right to left, as well as from left to right using the long side of the writing part 21. In that case, by providing the openings 33 on both side surfaces 32 of the holding part 31, it becomes possible for the holding part 31 to bend in an appropriate direction, thereby improving convenience.

[0049] The holding member 3 is provided with a pair of support pieces 35 that protrude forward from the rear edge 34 of the opening 33, which contacts the paper surface 7 during writing, at the tip of both side walls of the holding part 31 on the short side of the approximately rectangular cross section of the pen tip 2. As shown in Figure 10, the pair of support pieces 35 contact the paper surface 7, preventing the pen tip 2 from bending too much and causing breakage or damage, and allowing the entire writing part to contact the paper surface. The support pieces 35 taper forward, and a convex curved surface is formed at the front end.

[0050] In addition, by bringing the pair of support pieces 35 into contact with the paper surface 7, when a ruler or the like is used to draw a line on the paper surface 7, the support pieces 35 come into contact with the ruler or the like, and the pen tip 2 does not come into contact with the ruler or the like, preventing the ruler from being soiled with ink. It is also possible to prevent dirt adhering to the ruler from being transferred to the writing part 21, resulting in smudges of the handwriting when writing.

[0051] Also, retention Because the member 3 has the pair of support pieces 35, when the pen tip 2 is inserted into the cap of the writing instrument 1 or the like, it is possible to prevent ink from adhering to the inner surface of the cap due to contact between the pen tip 2 and the inner surface of the cap. If ink adheres to the inner surface of the cap, when the cap is fitted onto the writing instrument 1, the ink adhering to the inner surface of the cap is transferred and adhered to the outer surface of the front barrel 4. This raises the risk of the user's hands becoming dirty with ink when removing the cap again and gripping the front barrel 4 of the writing instrument 1.

[0052] As shown in Fig. 8, when the writing instrument 1 is not writing, the writing part 21 and the support piece 35 are positioned approximately on the axis of the writing instrument 1. On the other hand, as shown in Fig. 9, when the writing instrument 1 is writing, if the writing instrument is viewed as a whole from the direction along the extension of the long side that contacts the paper surface 7, the writing part 21 (top part 22) is off the axis of the writing instrument 1. In other words, the writing part 21 of the pen tip 2 is bent and deformed toward the long side. As a result, regardless of the angle of the pen tip 2 relative to the paper surface 7, the entire writing part 21 contacts the paper surface 7, and a constant line width is reliably obtained.

[0053] 8, the top 22 of the pen tip 2 protrudes forward from the tip of the support piece 35, and it is effective that the amount of protrusion is more than 0.2 mm and less than 5.0 mm, and preferably more than 0.5 mm and less than 2.0 mm. The smaller the amount of protrusion within the preferred range, the more rigid and firm the writing feel will be, and the greater the amount of protrusion within the preferred range, the softer the writing feel will be.

[0054] The rear end edge 34 is chamfered or R-shaped. In particular, it is preferable to chamfer or R-shaped at least on the edge on the side of the pen tip 2 that may come into contact with the pen tip 2. As a result, if the pen tip 2 is excessively bent, it may come into contact with the rear end edge 34, but even in that case, the load on the front part 23 of the pen tip 2 can be minimized, and the pen tip 2 can be more reliably prevented from breaking or being damaged.

[0055] As shown in FIG. 2, rear edge 34 of opening 33 is formed in a substantially straight line, top 22 of writing portion 21 is also formed in a substantially straight line, and the angle of rear edge 34 relative to the axis is substantially the same as the angle of top 22 of writing portion 21 relative to the axis. As a result, the load on tip 2 from rear edge 34 caused by excessive bending of tip 2 is applied evenly to front portion 23 of tip 2, reliably preventing tip 2 from breaking or being damaged.

[0056] The angle of the rear edge 34 with respect to the axis refers to the angle of the portion of the angle between the rear edge 34 and the axis that is 90 degrees or less, and the angle of the top 22 of the writing part 21 with respect to the axis refers to the angle of the portion of the angle between the top 22 and the axis that is 90 degrees or less. In other words, the fact that these two angles are substantially the same indicates that the rear edge 34 and the top 22 are substantially parallel. These angles are set to be 30 degrees or more and 90 degrees or less, and preferably 45 degrees or more and 90 degrees or less.

[0057] 2, when the writing implement as a whole is viewed from a direction along the extension of the short side where writing part 21 contacts the paper surface, the shape of nib 2 exposed from holding member 3 is a substantial parallelogram or rectangle. As a result, the grinding direction of writing part 21 (i.e., the shape of the nib) can be ascertained from the shape of rear end edge 34, so there is no need to check the direction just by looking at the orientation of nib 2 immediately before writing, and writing can be started immediately after exposing nib 2.

[0058] Furthermore, it is more preferable that the color of the holding member 3 is different from the color of the nib 2 (i.e., the ink color). This makes the orientation of the rear end edge 34 more prominent, making it easier to confirm the grinding direction of the writing part 21 (i.e., the shape of the nib). If the nib 2 itself is colored a dark color such as black and the holding member 3 is colored a light color different from the nib 2, the orientation of the rear end edge 34 will be even more prominent, making it easier to confirm the grinding direction of the writing part 21 (i.e., the shape of the nib).
