Abstract

To provide a manufacturing method for an electric wire with a terminal capable of suppressing spread of an element wire during crimping.SOLUTION: In a cross section parallel to an axial direction of a crimping portion, a crimping surface of a conductive wire crimping blade 23 is formed such that an inner diameter gradually decreases from a coated crimping blade 25 side toward the opposite side of the coated crimping blade 25. In a case in which such a mold 21b is used, when a conductive wire crimping portion 7 and a conductive wire 13 are crimped, the crimping of a part of the conductive wire crimping portion 7 on the side of a coating portion 15 can be started in a longitudinal direction of a coated conductive wire 11 earlier than the crimping of a part of the conductive wire crimping portion 7 on a tip side of the conductive wire 13. At this time, a portion (coating portion 15 side) where the crimping is started first is pressed more strongly than another portion (the tip side of the conductive wire 13), and therefore, elongation (movement) of the conductive wire 13 is restricted as compared with other portions. Therefore, the conductive wire 13 preferentially extends from a central portion of the conductive wire crimping portion 7 toward the tip side, and the extension toward the coating portion 15 side is suppressed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
