Description

[Technical field]

[0001] The present invention relates to a vehicle display control device, a vehicle display control method, and a vehicle display control program. [Background technology]

[0002] Patent Document 1 below discloses an invention related to a display device for vehicles. In this display device for vehicles, when an autonomous vehicle is about to overtake an obstacle, a mark indicating the overtaking direction is displayed on a head-up display device (hereinafter referred to as "HUD device") that is projected and displayed on the front windshield glass (hereinafter referred to as "windshield") before the overtaking takes place. This allows the occupants to know in advance the planned actions of the autonomous vehicle, thereby reducing the anxiety felt by the occupants when the autonomous vehicle behaves differently from previous movements. [Prior art documents] [Patent documents]

[0003] [Patent Document 1] JP 2017-091115 A Summary of the Invention [Problem to be solved by the invention]

[0004] However, in the case of the configuration disclosed in Patent Document 1, although the next planned action of the autonomously driving vehicle can be grasped, the plan of action beyond that cannot be grasped, and the occupants cannot intuitively understand whether the vehicle is heading in the direction or to the place that they intend, which may cause anxiety. Therefore, the above-mentioned prior art has room for improvement in this respect.

[0005] In consideration of the above, an object of the present invention is to provide a vehicle display control device, a vehicle display control method, and a vehicle display control program that can reduce the anxiety felt by occupants. [Means for solving the problem]

[0006] A first aspect of the vehicle display control device includes a projection device that is provided on the interior side of the front windshield glass of a vehicle capable of autonomous driving, and projects projection light for displaying information onto the front windshield glass to display information superimposed on the scenery in front of the vehicle; a display device that is provided on the instrument panel of the vehicle and displays information toward the passenger seat; and display control means that causes the projection device to display, as a primary action schedule, an action schedule to be performed after a current vehicle action among action schedules obtained from an autonomous driving control unit that controls the autonomous driving of the vehicle during autonomous driving, and displays, as secondary action schedules, action plans to be performed after the primary action schedule on the display device in order of actions starting from a position closest to the projection device.

[0007] According to a first aspect, a display control device for a vehicle includes a projection device, a display device, and a display control means. The projection device is provided on the interior side of the windshield, and can display information superimposed on a view in front of the vehicle by projecting projection light for displaying information onto the windshield. The display device is provided on an instrument panel of the vehicle (hereinafter referred to as "instrument panel"), and displays information toward the passenger seat side. The display control means acquires an action schedule of the vehicle from an automatic driving control unit that controls automatic driving of the vehicle during automatic driving. In addition, the display control means causes the projection device to display an action schedule to be performed after the current vehicle action as a primary action schedule among the acquired action schedules. Furthermore, the display control means causes the display device to display an action schedule to be performed after the primary action schedule among the acquired action schedules as a secondary action schedule. In other words, several action schedules after the current vehicle action are displayed consecutively on the projection device and the display device, and the primary action schedule, which is the action schedule to be performed immediately before, and the secondary action schedule, which is the action schedule to be performed thereafter, are displayed at different positions. Therefore, the occupant can immediately grasp the multiple scheduled actions, and can intuitively understand the next scheduled action and the subsequent scheduled actions. In addition, since the secondary scheduled actions are displayed in the order of actions from the position closest to the projection device on the display device, the scheduled actions are displayed in a connected order of execution from the projection device to the display device. Therefore, the occupant can intuitively understand the flow of a series of scheduled actions.

[0008] Here, "planned actions" includes not only various vehicle operations such as driving and stopping, but also various actions that occur or are necessary when the vehicle travels to a destination, such as taking a break, passing through a toll gate, traveling to an intermediate destination, etc.

[0009] In the vehicle display control device of the second aspect, in the first aspect, the secondary action schedule is displayed on a meter panel.

[0010] According to the second aspect, the secondary action schedule is displayed on the meter panel. In general, the meter panel is disposed in a position close to the windshield in the instrument panel, so the primary action schedule displayed by the projection device and the secondary action schedule displayed on the meter panel can be displayed in relatively close positions. Therefore, the occupant can more intuitively understand the flow from the primary action schedule to the secondary action schedule.

[0011] In the third aspect of the vehicle display control device, in the first or second aspect, when the primary action schedule displayed by the projection device is completed, the action schedule that is to be performed earliest among the secondary action schedules displayed on the display device is brought forward as the primary action schedule and displayed by the projection device.

[0012] According to the third aspect, when the primary action schedule displayed by the projection device is completed, the action schedule that is executed earliest among the secondary action schedules displayed on the display device is brought forward as the primary action schedule and displayed by the projection device, thereby enabling the occupant to more intuitively understand the sequence of the action schedule.

[0013] A fourth aspect of the vehicular display control device is any one of the first to third aspects, in which the primary action schedule and the secondary action schedule are displayed side by side in an approximately straight line when viewed from the passenger seat side.

[0014] According to the fourth aspect, the primary action schedule and the secondary action schedule are displayed in a substantially straight line when viewed from the passenger seat, allowing the passenger to more intuitively understand that the primary action schedule and the secondary action schedule are a continuous series of events.

[0015] A fifth aspect of the vehicle display control device is any one of the first to fourth aspects, in which the secondary action schedule is displayed next to the primary action schedule, outboard in the vehicle width direction and toward the bottom of the vehicle, when viewed from the passenger seat side.

[0016] According to the fifth aspect, the secondary action schedule is displayed next to the primary action schedule toward the outside in the vehicle width direction and toward the vehicle lower side when viewed from the passenger seat side, so that the secondary action schedule is displayed in a perspective manner with the primary action schedule displayed superimposed on the scenery in front of the vehicle at the center. Therefore, the flow from the primary action schedule to the secondary action schedule can be understood more intuitively.

[0017] The sixth aspect of the vehicle display control device is, in any one of the first to fifth aspects, capable of displaying an arbitrary action schedule by interrupting either the primary action schedule or the secondary action schedule when an occupant performs an operation to interrupt an arbitrary action schedule during autonomous driving of the vehicle.

[0018] According to the sixth aspect, when an occupant performs an operation to insert an arbitrary action plan while the vehicle is being driven autonomously, this arbitrary action plan is displayed by inserting it into either the primary action plan or the secondary action plan, allowing the occupant to intuitively understand whether or not the vehicle is aware of the occupant's operation. Effect of the Invention

[0019] The vehicle display control device of the first aspect has an excellent effect of reducing anxiety felt by occupants.

[0020] The vehicle display control devices according to the second to sixth aspects have the excellent effect of further reducing the anxiety felt by the occupants. [Brief description of the drawings]

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

[0022] Hereinafter, an embodiment of a display device for a vehicle according to the present invention will be described with reference to FIGS.

[0023] (Overall composition) As shown in FIG. 1, the vehicle display device 10 of the present embodiment is provided in a vehicle capable of automatic driving, and includes a meter panel 12 as a display device that is a second display unit, a HUD device 13 as a projection device that is a first display unit, and a display control device 16 as a vehicle display control device. The meter panel 12 is provided in a meter cluster 20 (described later) in an instrument panel 18. The instrument panel 18 is provided on the vehicle front side in a vehicle interior 22. Specifically, the instrument panel 18 is disposed on the vehicle rear side of an upper side of a dash panel (not shown) that separates the vehicle interior 22 from the front part of the vehicle. The lower end of the dash panel is joined to the front end of a floor panel (not shown), and the floor panel constitutes the lower surface of the vehicle interior 22. In addition, a cowl (not shown) is joined to the upper end of the dash panel, and the cowl supports the lower end of a windshield 24. The windshield 24 constitutes the front surface of the upper side of the vehicle interior 22, and its lower end side is disposed on the upper end side of the instrument panel 18.

[0024] A front seat (not shown) serving as a passenger seat is provided on the vehicle rear side of the instrument panel 18. In this embodiment, the front seat is a passenger seat on the left side at the front of the passenger compartment 22, and a driver seat on the right side at the front of the passenger compartment 22.

[0025] The instrument panel 18 is configured as an interior material extending along the vehicle width direction. An instrument panel reinforcement (not shown) that is elongated along the vehicle width direction is disposed in the upper part of the interior (vehicle front side) of the instrument panel 18, and the instrument panel 18 is attached to this instrument panel reinforcement at multiple points. The instrument panel reinforcement is a metal pipe material, and both ends in the longitudinal direction are fixed to the vehicle lower side of a pair of front pillars 19 (only one side is shown in FIG. 1) erected on the left and right vehicle body sides.

[0026] (Display panel) The above-mentioned meter cluster 20 is provided on the driver's seat side of the instrument panel 18. The meter cluster 20 is provided on the upper part of the instrument panel 18 so as to protrude upward of the vehicle, and is provided therein with a meter panel 12 whose display surface faces the front seat (driver's seat) side of the passenger compartment 22. The meter panel 12 is, for example, configured with a liquid crystal panel, and displays, for example, a host vehicle display 28, a caution direction display 30, a surrounding situation display 34, a caution object display 38, and a secondary action schedule 26 by a display control device 16 connected by wiring (not shown). The details of each display will be described later.

[0027] (HUD device) Inside the driver's seat side of the instrument panel 18, the HUD device 13 is provided as a projection device. Specifically, the HUD device 13 is provided inside an opening (not shown) formed on the upper surface of the driver's seat side of the instrument panel 18 and opening toward the upper side of the vehicle. Inside the HUD device 13, there are provided a display device that emits an illuminating image as outgoing light for displaying information, which is connected to the display control device 16 by wiring (not shown), and a reflector that reflects the illuminating image from the display device (both not shown). The display device is disposed on the rear side in the vehicle front-rear direction inside the HUD device 13, and emits the illuminating image toward the front side of the vehicle. The display device has a light source formed of a light emitting diode or the like.

[0028] The reflector is disposed on the front side in the vehicle longitudinal direction facing the display in the HUD device 13, and is, for example, a concave mirror disposed so as to be recessed with respect to the display. When viewed from the side of the vehicle, the reflector is disposed at an angle so that the upper part is toward the front of the vehicle and the lower part is toward the rear of the vehicle. This causes the reflected image from the display to be reflected by the reflector toward the upper rear of the vehicle, enlarging the emitted image.

[0029] The illuminated image reflected by the reflector is projected onto the windshield 24 through an opening formed on the upper surface of the instrument panel 18. As a result, the illuminated image from the display is guided to the reflector, and the illuminated image reflected and enlarged by the reflector is projected onto the windshield 24 within a display range bounded by a two-dot chain line in the drawing.

[0030] In addition, the opening formed on the upper surface of the instrument panel 18, the display of the HUD device 13, and the reflector, for example, have dimensions in the vehicle width direction that are approximately the same as those of the meter panel 12, and as a result, the dimensions in the vehicle width direction of the display range projected and displayed on the windshield 24 are approximately the same as those of the meter panel 12 (see the dashed double-dashed line in the figure).

[0031] The display control device 16 causes the HUD device 13 to display, on the windshield 24, for example, the vehicle speed and a primary action plan 25. The display of the primary action plan 25 will be described in detail later.

[0032] (Control device) The display control device 16 includes a control ECU (Electronic Control Unit) and a navigation system (both not shown). The control ECU and the navigation system are each connected to an in-vehicle network (not shown) such as a CAN (Controller Area Network). The display control device 16 is also connected to an automatic driving control unit (not shown) via the in-vehicle network.

[0033] The navigation system shows a route to a destination set by the driver of the vehicle. The navigation system calculates a route for the vehicle to travel based on the position information of the vehicle measured by a GPS receiver (not shown) and map information in a map database. The route may specify a suitable lane in a multi-lane section. The navigation system, for example, calculates a target route from the vehicle's position to the destination, and notifies the occupants of the target route by displaying it on the meter panel 12 and outputting the sound from a speaker (not shown). The navigation system is capable of transmitting information on the target route of the vehicle to a control ECU connected to an in-vehicle network. The functions of the navigation system may be stored in a computer in a facility such as an information processing center that can communicate with the vehicle.

[0034] The automatic driving control unit is connected to, for example, a surrounding condition acquisition unit, a vehicle driving state acquisition unit, a map information storage unit, and an input unit (none of which are shown). In order to automatically drive the vehicle, the automatic driving control unit performs automatic driving control by determining the conditions of the vehicle and its surroundings based on route information in a map information storage unit that stores information obtained from a navigation system and information obtained from various sensors, and controlling the amount of acceleration, the amount of braking, the steering angle, and the like to the destination. That is, the automatic driving control unit performs automatic driving of the vehicle by controlling the vehicle based on the conditions of the surroundings of the vehicle detected by the surrounding condition acquisition unit. Note that the automatic driving control by the automatic driving control unit is publicly known, for example, in JP 2008-123197 A, and therefore a detailed description thereof will be omitted.

[0035] The autonomous driving control unit calculates a series of action plans from the current location to the destination when an autonomous driving execution command is received from a passenger or the like and a destination is set in the navigation system. Then, the autonomous driving control unit performs autonomous driving control according to the calculated action plans together with the above-mentioned route information and information from various sensors.

[0036] The control ECU of the display control device 16 is configured with a microcomputer including a CPU (Central Processing Unit), a ROM (Read Only Memory), a RAM (Random Access Memory), etc. The meter panel 12 and the HUD device 13 are connected to the control ECU via lines (not shown).

[0037] The display control device 16 acquires the action schedule from the automatic driving control unit, and distinguishes, among the acquired action schedules, an action schedule to be performed after the current vehicle action (hereinafter referred to as "action schedule A") from an action schedule to be performed after the current vehicle action. In other words, among a series of multiple action schedules, it distinguishes between action schedule A and other action schedules. Then, the display control device 16 causes the HUD device 13 to display the action schedule A as the primary action schedule 25. In addition, the action schedule to be performed after the current vehicle action, i.e., the action schedule to be performed after action schedule A, is displayed on the meter panel 12 as a secondary action schedule.

[0038] (First action plan) As shown in Fig. 2, the primary action plan 25 is projected (displayed) by the HUD device 13 at a position on the windshield 24 corresponding to the upper side of the meter panel 12 of the vehicle. The primary action plan 25 is displayed including an icon 27 that illustrates the content of the action plan A, and text information 29 that indicates the distance to the point where the action plan A is to be performed, the estimated time of arrival at the point, the name of the point, etc. In Fig. 2, as an example, the action plan A of taking a break at a parking area is displayed in the primary action plan 25. In this primary action plan 25, a coffee cup icon 27 that illustrates a break, and text information 29 that indicates the distance from the current point to the parking area, the estimated time of arrival at the parking area, and the name of the parking area are displayed.

[0039] (Second action planned) The secondary action schedule 26 is displayed on the meter panel 12, and, like the primary action schedule 25, is configured to include icons 27 and text information 29. The secondary action schedule 26 can display multiple action schedules (two in this figure), and as an example, the number of displayed schedules can be changed appropriately depending on the relationship with other display contents.

[0040] An icon 27 and text information 29 representing an action schedule to be performed next to action schedule A (hereinafter referred to as "action schedule B") are displayed in a position on the meter panel 12 near the HUD device 13 in the secondary action schedule 26, i.e., on the upper side of the vehicle on the meter panel 12. Also, the icon 27 and text information 29 representing an action schedule to be performed next to action schedule B (hereinafter referred to as "action schedule C") are displayed in a position on the lower side of the vehicle and outside in the vehicle width direction with respect to the icon 27 and text information 29 representing action schedule B. In other words, the secondary action schedule 26 is displayed away from the HUD device 13 side on the meter panel 12 in the order in which the multiple action schedules are executed.

[0041] In the secondary action schedule 26, the icons 27 and text information 29 are displayed side by side toward the outside in the vehicle width direction and toward the lower side of the vehicle with respect to the primary action schedule 25. From another perspective, they are displayed side by side approximately parallel to the extension direction of the straight road 40 in front of the vehicle as viewed from the front seat side facing the front of the vehicle. That is, in the case of a right-hand drive vehicle as in this embodiment, the secondary action schedule 26 is displayed diagonally side by side below the vehicle and outside in the vehicle width direction (right side) with the primary action schedule 25 at the center.

[0042] When the driver performs an operation to insert (add) an arbitrary action plan (hereinafter, referred to as "action plan D") into the action plan calculated by the automatic driving control unit during automatic driving, the automatic driving control unit judges whether the action plan D corresponds to the action plan to be performed next to the current vehicle action (i.e., action plan A) or corresponds to the action plan to be performed after the action plan A. Based on this judgment result, the display control device 16 is capable of displaying the action plan D by inserting it into the primary action plan 25 or the secondary action plan 26. As an example, as shown in FIG. 3, when the driver performs an operation to instruct the vehicle to overtake a vehicle (not shown) ahead during automatic driving, the automatic driving control unit judges that the overtaking action (action plan D) corresponds to the action plan A since the overtaking action (action plan D) is an action plan to be performed before the break, which is the original action plan A, and is an action plan to be performed next to the current vehicle action (driving along the road 40). The display control device 16 causes the HUD device 13 to display an icon 27 representing an overtaking operation on the windshield 24 based on the determination of the automatic driving control unit.

[0043] Meanwhile, the icon 27 and text information 29 representing "rest" that were displayed on the HUD device 13 as the initial action plan A are displayed on the HUD device 13 side of the meter panel 12 as the secondary action plan 26 in response to the interruption of the overtaking action. When the overtaking action is completed, the icon 27 and text information 29 of "rest" that were displayed as the secondary action plan 26 are displayed on the windshield 24 by the HUD device 13 (see FIG. 2).

[0044] (Display on vehicle) The host vehicle display 28 is displayed in the approximate center in the vehicle up-down direction on the meter panel 12, and as one example, the host vehicle is roughly displayed in a dark color in an elliptical shape with its longitudinal direction approximately in the vehicle width direction. The host vehicle display 28 is basically set not to move within the meter panel 12.

[0045] (Caution direction display) The attention direction display 30 is displayed in a ring shape outside the host vehicle display 28 and along the outer edge of the host vehicle display 28, and is displayed with a higher brightness than the host vehicle display 28, for example. As shown in FIG. 2, the attention direction display 30 has an emphasis display section 32 whose circumferential portion extends radially outward from the host vehicle display 28 as a center. The emphasis display section 32 is movable along the outer edge of the host vehicle display 28 in response to the detection result of the surrounding condition acquisition section. Depending on the detection result of the surrounding condition acquisition section, the emphasis display section 32 may not be displayed.

[0046] (Ambient conditions display) The surrounding situation display 34 is displayed outside the attention direction display 30, and as an example, it is displayed in a single color centered on the attention direction display 30, and the color tone gradually becomes lighter as it moves away from the attention direction display 30, so-called gradation. The color of the surrounding situation display 34 is set to change according to the surrounding situation of the vehicle determined by the display control device 16. As an example, when there are few objects requiring attention such as other vehicles around the vehicle, the surroundings of the vehicle are in good condition and the surrounding situation display 34 is displayed in blue. On the other hand, when there are many objects requiring attention around the vehicle, the surroundings of the vehicle are in a state requiring attention and the surrounding situation display 34 is displayed in yellow. Note that when there are an extremely large number of objects requiring attention around the vehicle, the surrounding situation display 34 is displayed in red and without gradation, as the driver's judgment is required.

[0047] Additionally, a plurality of dots 36 are displayed on the surrounding conditions display 34. The dots 36 are set to a higher brightness than the other portions, and are displayed distributed on a plurality of concentric circles with the host vehicle display 28 at the center.

[0048] (Caution Sign) When there is an object to be watched around the vehicle and the surrounding situation acquisition unit detects the object to be watched, the surrounding situation display 34 displays an object to be watched display 38. The object to be watched display 38 is set to a lower brightness than the surrounding situation display 34, and is displayed like a shadow spreading from the apex Z displayed near the vehicle display 28 toward the portion of the meter panel 12 corresponding to the direction of the object to be watched with respect to the vehicle. Therefore, when the object to be watched display 38 is displayed, the surrounding situation display 34 has a shape that is like a missing portion. That is, the shape of the surrounding situation display 34 changes depending on the object to be watched display 38. The vehicle front-rear direction of the vehicle is indicated by the vehicle up-down direction on the meter panel 12, and the vehicle width direction of the vehicle is indicated by the vehicle width direction on the meter panel 12. As an example, when there is an object to be watched on the front side of the vehicle, the upper side of the vehicle with respect to the vehicle display 28 of the meter panel 12 corresponds to the above-mentioned "portion of the meter panel 12 corresponding to the direction of the object to be watched with respect to the vehicle". Similarly, when there is an object to pay attention to on the rear side of the host vehicle, the lower side of the vehicle with respect to the host vehicle display 28 on the meter panel 12 corresponds to "the part on the meter panel 12 corresponding to the direction in which the object to pay attention to is located with respect to the host vehicle". Similarly, for the vehicle width direction, when there is an object to pay attention to on the right side of the host vehicle, the right side with respect to the host vehicle display 28 on the meter panel 12 corresponds to "the part on the meter panel 12 corresponding to the direction in which the object to pay attention to is located with respect to the host vehicle", and when there is an object to pay attention to on the left side of the host vehicle, the left side with respect to the host vehicle display 28 on the meter panel 12 corresponds to "the part on the meter panel 12 corresponding to the direction in which the object to pay attention to is located with respect to the host vehicle".

[0049] The vertex Z near the vehicle display 28 in the attention object display 38 is set to change in shape depending on the degree of influence of the attention object on the vehicle. As an example, in the case of the attention object display 38 corresponding to the attention object whose relative speed with respect to the vehicle is high and whose influence on the vehicle is large, the vertex Z is displayed in a shape with a small angle, i.e., a sharp shape. On the other hand, in the case of the attention object display 38 corresponding to the attention object whose relative speed with respect to the vehicle is low and whose influence on the vehicle is small, the vertex Z is displayed in a shape with a large angle, i.e., a gentle shape. In this embodiment, the angle of the vertex Z is set to change depending on the relative speed of the attention object with respect to the vehicle, but the present invention is not limited to this, and the angle of the vertex Z may be set to change depending on other parameters such as the angle between the traveling direction of the vehicle and the traveling direction of the attention object.

[0050] (Control Flow) The display control device 16 expands a program stored in advance in the ROM into the RAM and executes the program with the CPU, thereby controlling the operations of the HUD device 13 and the meter panel 12. Specifically, as shown in Fig. 4, in step S100, the display control device 16 acquires a series of action plans from the automatic driving control unit.

[0051] In step S102, the display control device 16 causes the HUD device 13 to display the action plan A, among the action plans acquired from the automatic driving control unit, on the windshield 24 (see FIG. 1) as the primary action plan 25. Next, in step S104, the display control device 16 causes the HUD device 13 to display the action plans B and C as the secondary action plan 26 on the meter panel 12 (see FIG. 2).

[0052] In step S106, the autonomous driving control unit determines whether the action schedule A has been executed, and if so, in step S108, the action schedule B is brought forward to the action schedule A. Similarly, the action schedule C and the action schedule following the action schedule C are brought forward to the action schedule B and C, respectively. Then, the action schedule A brought forward from the action schedule B is displayed on the windshield 24 by the HUD device 13 as the primary action schedule 25 in step S102. Similarly, the action schedules B and C brought forward from the action schedule C and the action schedule following the action schedule C in step S108 are displayed on the meter panel 12 as the secondary action schedule 26 in step S104. That is, the display of the primary action schedule 25 and the secondary action schedule 26 are switched.

[0053] On the other hand, if it is determined in step S106 that the action schedule A has not been executed, the HUD device 13 displays the action schedule A up to that point as the primary action schedule 25 in step S102. Also, the action schedules B and C up to that point are displayed on the meter panel 12 as the secondary action schedule 26 in step S104.

[0054] In step S110, the display control device 16 determines whether the autonomous driving has ended, and if the result shows that the autonomous driving has not ended, the process returns to step S102 again. On the other hand, if it is determined in step S110 that the autonomous driving has ended, the process by the display control device 16 ends.

[0055] (Actions and Effects of the Embodiments) Next, the operation and effects of this embodiment will be described.

[0056] In this embodiment, as shown in FIG. 1, the vehicle display device 10 includes a HUD device 13, a meter panel 12, and a display control device 16. The HUD device 13 is provided on the vehicle interior side of a windshield 24, and can display information superimposed on the scenery in front of the vehicle by projecting projection light for displaying information onto the windshield 24. The meter panel 12 is provided on an instrument panel 18 of the vehicle, and displays information toward the passenger seat side. The display control device 16 acquires an action schedule of the vehicle from an automatic driving control unit that performs automatic driving control of the vehicle during automatic driving. In addition, the display control device 16 causes the HUD device 13 to display an action schedule to be performed after the current vehicle action as a primary action schedule 25. In addition, the display control device 16 causes the meter panel 12 to display an action schedule to be performed after the primary action schedule 25 as a secondary action schedule 26 among the acquired action schedules. That is, several action plans after the current vehicle action are displayed consecutively on the HUD device 13 and the meter panel 12, and a primary action plan 25, which is an action plan to be performed immediately, and a secondary action plan 26, which is an action plan to be performed thereafter, are displayed at different positions. Therefore, the occupant can immediately grasp the multiple action plans, and can intuitively understand the next action plan and the action plans to be performed thereafter. In addition, since the secondary action plan 26 is displayed in the order of actions from a position on the meter panel 12 close to the HUD device 13, the action plans are displayed in a connected order of execution from the HUD device 13 to the meter panel 12. Therefore, the occupant can intuitively understand the flow of a series of action plans. This can reduce the anxiety felt by the occupant during automatic driving of a vehicle capable of automatic driving.

[0057] Moreover, the secondary action schedule 26 is displayed on the meter panel 12. In general, the meter panel 12 is disposed in a position close to the windshield 24 of the instrument panel 18, so that the primary action schedule 25 displayed by the HUD device 13 and the secondary action schedule 26 displayed on the meter panel 12 can be displayed in relatively close positions. Therefore, the occupant can more intuitively understand the flow from the primary action schedule 25 to the secondary action schedule 26.

[0058] Furthermore, when the primary action schedule 25 displayed by the HUD device 13 is completed, the action schedule that is executed earliest among the secondary action schedules 26 displayed on the meter panel 12 is brought forward as the primary action schedule 25 and displayed by the HUD device 13. Therefore, the occupant can intuitively understand the sequence of the action schedule.

[0059] Furthermore, since the primary action plan 25 and the secondary action plan 26 are displayed side by side in a substantially straight line when viewed from the passenger seat, the passenger can more intuitively understand that the primary action plan 25 and the secondary action plan 26 are a continuous series of events.

[0060] In addition, the secondary action schedule 26 is displayed next to the primary action schedule 25, outward in the vehicle width direction and toward the vehicle lower side, as viewed from the passenger seat, so that the secondary action schedule 26 is displayed in a perspective manner with the primary action schedule 25 displayed superimposed on the scenery in front of the vehicle at the center. Therefore, the flow from the primary action schedule 25 to the secondary action schedule 26 can be understood more intuitively.

[0061] Furthermore, if the occupant performs an operation to insert an arbitrary action plan D while the vehicle is being driven automatically, this arbitrary action plan D is displayed by inserting it into either the primary action plan 25 or the secondary action plan 26, allowing the occupant to intuitively understand whether or not the vehicle is aware of the occupant's operation.

[0062] Furthermore, by limiting what is displayed by the HUD device 13 to the primary action plan 25, the information display is simplified and placed in a position that is easily visible to the occupants, i.e., on the windshield 24, thereby preventing the occupants from becoming confused due to an excessive amount of information.

[0063] In this embodiment, the meter panel 12 is a liquid crystal panel provided in the meter cluster 20, but is not limited to this and may be another display panel provided in the instrument panel 18.

[0064] Further, the vehicular display device 10 is applied to a vehicle capable of automatic driving, but is not limited thereto and may be applied to other vehicles.

[0065] Furthermore, the primary action schedule 25 and the secondary action schedule 26 are each displayed by at least one of the icon 27 and the text information 29, but this is not limiting and other displays such as images may also be used.

[0066] Furthermore, the primary action plan 25 and the secondary action plan 26 are configured to switch display when the action plan is brought forward, but this is not limited to the above, and the action plan of the secondary action plan 26 may be represented by an animation in which the action plan of the secondary action plan 26 moves towards the primary action plan 25 when the action plan is brought forward, or by other display methods.

[0067] Further, although two or three scheduled actions are displayed as the secondary scheduled action 26 (see FIGS. 2 and 3), the present invention is not limited to this, and may be configured to display four or more scheduled actions or all scheduled actions.

[0068] Furthermore, the secondary action plan 26 has each icon 27 and text information 29 displayed in a line outward in the width direction of the vehicle and toward the bottom of the vehicle relative to the primary action plan 25, but this is not limited to this and the icons 27 and text information 29 may be displayed in a horizontal line, a vertical line, or along a curve, or in other display methods.

[0069] Although an embodiment of the present invention has been described above, the present invention is not limited to the above, and it is of course possible to implement the present invention in various other modified forms without departing from the spirit and scope of the present invention.
