Abstract

To suppress noise generation.SOLUTION: In a housing 11, a reinforcement part 50 which is extended so as to connect an outer peripheral surface of a peripheral wall 12b and a protrusion wall part 12e and suppresses vibration of the protrusion wall part 12e with respect to the peripheral wall 12b is formed. The reinforcement part 50 is connected to a shrink part A1, a passage part 12d, and a fitting leg. The shrink part A1, the passage part 12d, and the fitting leg have higher rigidity than parts excluding the shrink part A1, for example, from the peripheral wall 12b. The reinforcement part 50 is extended to connect the shrink part A1 with higher rigidity than parts excluding the shrink part A1 of the peripheral wall 12b, the passage part 12d, the fitting leg, and the protrusion wall part 12e. Thus, vibrations of the projection 120e of the protrusion wall part 12e with respect to the peripheral wall 12b are suppressed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

Description

[Technical field]

[0001] The present invention relates to an on-vehicle electric compressor. [Background technology]

[0002] For example, an on-vehicle electric compressor as described in Patent Document 1 includes a rotating shaft, a compression unit, an electric motor, an inverter unit, and a housing. The compression unit compresses a fluid by rotation of the rotating shaft. The electric motor has a cylindrical stator and a rotor that rotates synchronously with the rotating shaft. The inverter unit drives the electric motor. The housing has a compression chamber that houses the compression unit, a motor chamber that houses the electric motor, and an inverter chamber that houses the inverter unit.

[0003] The housing has a cylindrical peripheral wall, a protruding wall portion, a cylindrical passage portion, and a cylindrical mounting leg portion. The peripheral wall extends in the axial direction of the rotating shaft. The protruding wall portion protrudes from the outer peripheral surface of the peripheral wall radially outward of the rotating shaft and defines an inverter chamber. The passage portion has a passage therein for drawing fluid into the motor chamber or discharging fluid from the motor chamber, and protrudes from the outer peripheral surface of the peripheral wall. The mounting leg portion has a bolt insertion hole through which a bolt for fastening to a vehicle body is inserted, and protrudes from the outer peripheral surface of the peripheral wall. [0004] [Patent Document 1] International Publication No. 2020 / 090701 Summary of the Invention [Problem to be solved by the invention]

[0005] In the on-vehicle electric compressor, the protruding wall may vibrate relative to the peripheral wall due to, for example, vibration of the vehicle, which generates noise. [Means for solving the problem]

[0006] The in-vehicle electric compressor that solves the above-mentioned problems includes a rotating shaft, a compression section that compresses a fluid by rotation of the rotating shaft, an electric motor having a cylindrical stator and a rotor that rotates synchronously with the rotating shaft, an inverter section that drives the electric motor, and a housing having a compression chamber that accommodates the compression section, a motor chamber that accommodates the electric motor, and an inverter chamber that accommodates the inverter section, wherein the housing has a cylindrical peripheral wall extending in the axial direction of the rotating shaft, a protruding wall section that protrudes from an outer circumferential surface of the peripheral wall radially outward of the rotating shaft and defines the inverter chamber, and a compressor section that draws the fluid into the motor chamber, or an electric compressor for mounting on a vehicle, the electric compressor having a passage therein for discharging the fluid from the motor chamber, a cylindrical passage portion protruding from an outer peripheral surface of the peripheral wall, and a cylindrical mounting leg portion having a bolt insertion hole through which a bolt for fastening to a vehicle body is inserted and protruding from the outer peripheral surface of the peripheral wall, the peripheral wall having a cylindrical shrink-fit portion into which the stator is shrink-fitted on an inner peripheral surface thereof, the housing having a reinforcing portion extending to connect the outer peripheral surface of the peripheral wall and the protruding wall portion and suppressing vibration of the protruding wall portion relative to the peripheral wall, the reinforcing portion being connected to at least one of the shrink-fit portion, the passage portion, and the mounting leg portion.

[0007] The shrink-fitted portion, the passage portion, and the mounting leg portion are, for example, portions of the peripheral wall that are more rigid than the portion excluding the shrink-fitted portion. The reinforcing portion extends to connect at least one of the shrink-fitted portion, the passage portion, and the mounting leg portion, which are portions of the peripheral wall that are more rigid than the portion excluding the shrink-fitted portion, to the protruding wall portion. This suppresses the vibration of the protruding wall portion relative to the peripheral wall. This therefore suppresses the generation of noise.

[0008] In the above vehicle-mounted electric compressor, the reinforcing portion, the passage portion, and the mounting leg portion may be opposed to the protruding wall portion in the axial direction of the rotating shaft. For example, consider a case where the reinforcing portion, the passage portion, and the mounting leg portion are not opposed to the protruding wall portion in the axial direction of the rotating shaft, but are arranged in a state shifted from the protruding wall portion in the circumferential direction of the rotating shaft. In this case, the reinforcing portion is composed of a portion extending from the protruding wall portion in the axial direction of the rotating shaft, and a portion extending from the protruding wall portion in the circumferential direction of the rotating shaft. In contrast, since the reinforcing portion, the passage portion, and the mounting leg portion are opposed to the protruding wall portion in the axial direction of the rotating shaft, the reinforcing portion only needs to be a portion extending in the axial direction of the rotating shaft. Therefore, the reinforcing portion does not need to have a portion extending in the circumferential direction of the rotating shaft. Therefore, an increase in the weight of the reinforcing portion can be suppressed.

[0009] In the above-mentioned vehicle-mounted electric compressor, the reinforcing portion may be plate-shaped and extend obliquely with respect to the axial direction of the rotating shaft from an outer circumferential surface of the peripheral wall to the protruding wall portion. According to this, since the reinforcing portion is plate-shaped, a space exists between the reinforcing portion and the portion of the peripheral wall that faces the reinforcing portion in the radial direction of the rotating shaft, and therefore the vehicle-mounted electric compressor can be made lighter than in a configuration in which such space does not exist.

[0010] In the above-mentioned vehicle-mounted electric compressor, the protruding wall portion has a thick portion and a thin portion that is located radially inward of the rotating shaft relative to the thick portion of the protruding wall portion and is thinner than the thick portion, and the thin portion is mounted with a magnetic member provided in the inverter chamber, and the reinforcing portion is connected to the thin portion.

[0011] According to this, for example, the dimension in the axial direction of the rotating shaft of the vehicle-mounted electric compressor is less likely to become large compared to when the magnetic member is mounted on the thick portion. However, since the thin portion has lower rigidity than the thick portion, the protruding wall portion is likely to vibrate relative to the peripheral wall starting from the thin portion. Therefore, the reinforcing portion is connected to the thin portion. This makes it possible to suppress the vibration of the protruding wall portion relative to the peripheral wall starting from the thin portion. Therefore, it is possible to suppress the vibration of the protruding wall portion relative to the peripheral wall while suppressing the increase in size of the vehicle-mounted electric compressor.

[0012] In the above-mentioned vehicle-mounted electric compressor, a partition wall separating the motor chamber and the inverter chamber is provided with an airtight terminal that electrically connects the electric motor and the inverter unit and seals the motor chamber and the inverter chamber, and the airtight terminal may be positioned opposite the electric motor in the axial direction of the rotating shaft.

[0013] In this manner, the partition is provided with an airtight terminal, and the configuration in which the airtight terminal faces the electric motor in the axial direction of the rotating shaft is suitable as a configuration in which the reinforcing portion suppresses vibration of the protruding wall portion relative to the peripheral wall. Effect of the Invention

[0014] According to the present invention, the generation of noise can be suppressed. [Brief description of the drawings]

[Diagram 3] FIG. 2 is a cross-sectional view of an in-vehicle electric compressor. [Figure 4] FIG. 4 is a cross-sectional view showing an in-vehicle electric compressor according to another embodiment. DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

[0016] An embodiment of an on-vehicle electric compressor will now be described with reference to Figures 1 to 3. The on-vehicle electric compressor of this embodiment is used in, for example, a vehicle air conditioner. <Automotive Electric Compressor 10> As shown in FIG. 1, the vehicle-mounted electric compressor 10 includes a housing 11, a rotating shaft 15, a compression section 16, an electric motor 20, and an inverter section 30.

[0017] The housing 11 has a motor housing member 12, a discharge housing member 13, and a cover 14. The motor housing member 12, the discharge housing member 13, and the cover 14 are made of metal, for example, aluminum.

[0018] <Motor housing member 12> The motor housing member 12 has a plate-shaped end wall 12a and a peripheral wall 12b extending cylindrically from the outer periphery of the end wall 12a. The axial direction of the peripheral wall 12b coincides with the axial direction of the rotating shaft 15. Thus, the housing 11 has a cylindrical peripheral wall 12b extending in the axial direction of the rotating shaft 15.

[0019] A cylindrical boss portion 12c is provided at the center of the end wall 12a of the motor housing member 12. The axis of the boss portion 12c coincides with the axis of the peripheral wall 12b of the motor housing member 12. A through hole 17 is formed in the end wall 12a of the motor housing member 12. The through hole 17 penetrates the end wall 12a of the motor housing member 12 in the thickness direction. The through hole 17 is located closer to the peripheral wall 12b of the motor housing member 12 than the boss portion 12c.

[0020] <Discharge housing member 13> The discharge housing member 13 is cylindrical. The discharge housing member 13 is connected to a portion of the peripheral wall 12b of the motor housing member 12 opposite the end wall 12a. The discharge housing member 13 closes an opening of the motor housing member 12 opposite the end wall 12a. A discharge port 13h is formed in the discharge housing member 13. A first end of an external refrigerant circuit (not shown) is connected to the discharge port 13h.

[0021] <Rotation axis 15> The rotating shaft 15 is disposed inside the peripheral wall 12b of the motor housing member 12. A first end of the rotating shaft 15 is inserted into the boss portion 12c. A bearing 24 is provided between the inner peripheral surface of the boss portion 12c and the outer peripheral surface of the first end of the rotating shaft 15. The first end of the rotating shaft 15 is rotatably supported by the motor housing member 12 via the bearing 24.

[0022] <Compression section 16> The compression section 16 compresses the refrigerant as a fluid by the rotation of the rotating shaft 15. The compression section 16 is driven by the rotation of the rotating shaft 15. The compression section 16 is disposed inside the peripheral wall 12b of the motor housing member 12. The compression section 16 is, for example, a scroll type including a fixed scroll (not shown) fixed to the inner peripheral surface of the peripheral wall 12b of the motor housing member 12 and a movable scroll (not shown) disposed opposite the fixed scroll.

[0023] <Electric motor 20> The electric motor 20 is disposed inside the peripheral wall 12b of the motor housing member 12. The compression unit 16 and the electric motor 20 are disposed side by side in the axial direction, which is the direction in which the rotation axis of the rotating shaft 15 extends. The electric motor 20 is disposed closer to the end wall 12a of the motor housing member 12 than the compression unit 16. The electric motor 20 has a cylindrical stator 21 and a rotor 22. The rotor 22 is disposed inside the stator 21.

[0024] The stator 21 has a cylindrical stator core 23 and a coil 25 wound around the stator core 23. The stator 21 has annular coil ends 25e protruding from both end faces of the stator core 23 in the axial direction of the rotating shaft 15. The coil ends 25e are part of the coils 25. The stator core 23 is shrink-fitted to the inner circumferential surface of the peripheral wall 12b of the motor housing member 12. Therefore, the peripheral wall 12b of the motor housing member 12 has a shrink-fit portion A1 into which the stator 21 is shrink-fitted on its inner circumferential surface.

[0025] The rotor 22 has a cylindrical rotor core 26. The rotor core 26 is fixed to the rotary shaft 15. A plurality of permanent magnets (not shown) are embedded in the rotor core 26. The electric motor 20 rotates the rotary shaft 15 to drive the compression section 16. The rotor 22 rotates synchronously with the rotary shaft 15.

[0026] <Motor chamber S1 and compression chamber S3> The housing 11 has a compression chamber S3 and a motor chamber S1. The compression chamber S3 accommodates the compression section 16. The motor chamber S1 accommodates the electric motor 20. The compression chamber S3 and the motor chamber S1 are located inside the peripheral wall 12b of the motor housing member 12. The motor chamber S1 is located closer to the end wall 12a of the motor housing member 12 than the compression chamber S3. The compression chamber S3 and the motor chamber S1 are partitioned by a part of the housing 11 (not shown).

[0027] <Aisle section 12d> The motor housing member 12 has a passage portion 12d. The passage portion 12d is cylindrical. The passage portion 12d protrudes from the outer circumferential surface of the peripheral wall 12b. The passage portion 12d is formed in a portion of the peripheral wall 12b located on the end wall 12a side.

[0028] The passage portion 12d has a suction passage 12h therein. The suction passage 12h is connected to the motor chamber S1. A second end of the external refrigerant circuit is connected to the suction passage 12h. Refrigerant from the external refrigerant circuit is drawn into the motor chamber S1 via the suction passage 12h. Thus, the suction passage 12h draws the refrigerant into the motor chamber S1. Thus, the passage portion 12d has therein the suction passage 12h, which is a passage that draws the refrigerant into the motor chamber S1.

[0029] The refrigerant sucked into the motor chamber S1 from the external refrigerant circuit via the suction passage 12h is compressed in the compression section 16 by the drive of the compression section 16, and flows out into the external refrigerant circuit via the discharge port 13h. The refrigerant that has flowed out into the external refrigerant circuit then passes through a heat exchanger and an expansion valve of the external refrigerant circuit, and flows back into the motor chamber S1 via the suction passage 12h.

[0030] <Mounting leg 12f> 2 and 3, the housing 11 has two cylindrical mounting legs 12f. Each mounting leg 12f protrudes from the outer circumferential surface of the peripheral wall 12b of the motor housing member 12. Each mounting leg 12f has a bolt insertion hole 120f through which a bolt 71 for fastening to a vehicle body 70 is inserted. The vehicle-mounted electric compressor 10 is attached to the vehicle body 70 by screwing the vehicle body 70 with the bolt 71 inserted through the bolt insertion hole 120f of the mounting leg 12f.

[0031] <Protruding wall part 12e> As shown in Figs. 1 and 3, the motor housing member 12 has a protruding wall portion 12e. The protruding wall portion 12e protrudes from the outer circumferential surface of the peripheral wall 12b of the motor housing member 12 toward the outside in the radial direction of the rotating shaft 15. The protruding wall portion 12e is composed of a protruding portion 120e protruding from a part of the outer periphery of the peripheral wall 12b in the radial direction of the rotating shaft 15, and a flange portion 121e. The flange portion 121e protrudes slightly from the peripheral wall 12b toward the outside in the radial direction of the rotating shaft 15. The protruding portion 120e protrudes from the peripheral wall 12b farther than the flange portion 121e. A part of the protruding portion 120e faces the passage portion 12d in the axial direction of the rotating shaft 15. A part of the flange portion 121e faces each of the mounting legs 12f in the axial direction of the rotating shaft 15. Therefore, the passage portion 12d and each mounting leg portion 12f face the protruding wall portion 12e in the axial direction of the rotating shaft 15. The protruding portion 120e and the flange portion 121e are continuous with the end wall 12a. The end wall 12a does not protrude radially outward from the rotating shaft 15 with respect to the peripheral wall 12b.

[0032] <Extension wall 12g> 1, the motor housing member 12 has an extension wall 12g. The extension wall 12g extends in a cylindrical shape from the outer periphery of the protruding wall portion 12e toward the opposite side to the peripheral wall 12b. The extension wall 12g is continuous with the protruding portion 120e and the flange portion 121e.

[0033] <Cover 14> The cover 14 is plate-shaped. The cover 14 is connected to the extension wall 12g of the motor housing member 12. The thickness direction of the cover 14 coincides with the axial direction of the rotating shaft 15. The cover 14 closes the opening of the extension wall 12g. The inverter chamber S2 is defined by the end wall 12a of the motor housing member 12, the protruding wall portion 12e, the extension wall 12g, and the cover 14. Thus, the housing 11 has the inverter chamber S2. The housing 11 has the protruding wall portion 12e that defines the inverter chamber S2. The end wall 12a of the motor housing member 12 is a partition wall that separates the motor chamber S1 and the inverter chamber S2. The inverter chamber S2 accommodates the inverter unit 30. The compression unit 16, the electric motor 20, and the inverter unit 30 are arranged in this order in the axial direction of the rotating shaft 15.

[0034] <Thick portion 121 and thin portion 122> The protruding wall portion 12e has a thick portion 121 and a thin portion 122 that is thinner than the thick portion 121. The thin portion 122 is located radially inward of the rotating shaft 15 than the thick portion 121 of the protruding wall portion 12e.

[0035] <Inverter section 30> The inverter unit 30 has a magnetic member 31. The magnetic member 31 is mounted on the thin portion 122. Therefore, the magnetic member 31 provided in the inverter chamber S2 is mounted on the thin portion 122.

[0036] <Airtight terminal 40> An airtight terminal 40 is provided on the end wall 12a of the motor housing member 12 to seal the motor chamber S1 and the inverter chamber S2. The airtight terminal 40 faces the electric motor 20 in the axial direction of the rotating shaft 15. The airtight terminal 40 has three conductive members 41 corresponding to the U-phase, V-phase, and W-phase coils 25, and a support plate 42. Note that FIG. 1 illustrates only one conductive member 41. Each conductive member 41 is a cylindrical metal terminal extending linearly. A first end of the conductive member 41 is electrically connected to the inverter unit 30 in the inverter chamber S2. A second end of the conductive member 41 extends into the motor chamber S1.

[0037] Three motor wires 27 are drawn out from the coil end 25e. A cluster block 43 is provided in the motor chamber S1. Three connection terminals 44 corresponding to the U-phase, V-phase, and W-phase coils 25 are housed in the cluster block 43. The three motor wires 27 and the three conductive members 41 are electrically connected to each other via the connection terminals 44 in the cluster block 43. Thus, the conductive members 41 electrically connect the inverter unit 30 and the electric motor 20. Thus, the airtight terminal 40 electrically connects the inverter unit 30 and the electric motor 20.

[0038] The support plate 42 supports and insulates the three conductive members 41 from one another. The support plate 42 is fixed around the through hole 17 on the outer surface of the end wall 12a of the motor housing member 12 inside the inverter chamber S2.

[0039] The electric motor 20 is driven by power controlled by the inverter unit 30 being supplied to the electric motor 20 via the conductive members 41, the connection terminals 44, and the motor wiring 27. Thus, the inverter unit 30 drives the electric motor 20. When the electric motor 20 is driven, the rotor 22 rotates synchronously with the rotating shaft 15.

[0040] <Reinforcement part 50> As shown in FIG. 1, FIG. 2, and FIG. 3, the housing 11 is formed with a reinforcing portion 50. The reinforcing portion 50 is plate-shaped. The reinforcing portion 50 has a first plate portion 51 and a second plate portion 52. The first plate portion 51 protrudes from the center of the protruding portion 120e in the radial direction of the rotating shaft 15. The first plate portion 51 extends from the protruding portion 120e in the axial direction of the rotating shaft 15. The second plate portion 52 protrudes from the peripheral wall 12b of the motor housing member 12. The second plate portion 52 extends from the outer peripheral surface of the peripheral wall 12b obliquely with respect to the axial direction of the rotating shaft 15. The first plate portion 51 and the second plate portion 52 are connected to each other at a position spaced apart from the outer peripheral surface of the peripheral wall 12b in the radial direction of the rotating shaft 15. Therefore, the reinforcing portion 50 is extended so as to connect the outer peripheral surface of the peripheral wall 12b and the protruding wall portion 12e. The reinforcing portion 50 extends obliquely with respect to the axial direction of the rotating shaft 15 from the outer circumferential surface of the peripheral wall 12b to the protruding wall portion 12e. In the in-vehicle electric compressor 10 of this embodiment, there is a space X1 surrounded by the outer circumferential surface of the peripheral wall 12b, the first plate portion 51, the second plate portion 52, and the protruding portion 120e. Therefore, in the in-vehicle electric compressor 10, there is a space X1 between the reinforcing portion 50 and a portion of the peripheral wall 12b that faces the reinforcing portion 50 in the radial direction of the rotating shaft 15.

[0041] The reinforcing portion 50 faces the protruding wall portion 12e in the axial direction of the rotating shaft 15. Therefore, the reinforcing portion 50, the passage portion 12d, and the mounting leg portion 12f face the protruding wall portion 12e in the axial direction of the rotating shaft 15.

[0042] The second plate portion 52 protrudes from the shrink-fit portion A1 of the peripheral wall 12b. A side portion of the second plate portion 52 is connected to the outer peripheral surface of the passage portion 12d. The passage portion 12d closes one opening of the space X1. A part of the end portion of the second plate portion 52 on the peripheral wall 12b side is connected to the mounting leg portion 12f. Therefore, the reinforcing portion 50 is connected to each of the shrink-fit portion A1, the passage portion 12d, and the mounting leg portion 12f.

[0043] The reinforcing portion 50 is a part of the motor housing member 12. The reinforcing portion 50 is integrally formed with the protruding portion 120e. The reinforcing portion 50 is integrally formed with the peripheral wall 12b of the motor housing member 12. The shrink-fit portion A1, the passage portion 12d, and the mounting leg portion 12f are each a portion of the peripheral wall 12b that is more rigid than the portion excluding the shrink-fit portion A1.

[0044] <Operation of the embodiment> Next, the operation of this embodiment will be described. Vibrations of a vehicle on which the in-vehicle electric compressor 10 is mounted may be transmitted to the in-vehicle electric compressor 10. In this case, the protruding portion 120e of the protruding wall portion 12e protrudes in the radial direction of the rotating shaft 15 beyond the peripheral wall 12b of the motor housing member 12, and is therefore susceptible to the effects of the vibrations of the vehicle.

[0045] Here, a reinforcing portion 50 is provided to connect the outer peripheral surface of the peripheral wall 12b and the protruding wall portion 12e. The reinforcing portion 50 connects the outer peripheral surface of the peripheral wall 12b and the protruding wall portion 12e while connecting the shrink-fit portion A1, the passage portion 12d, and the mounting leg portion 12f. The shrink-fit portion A1, the passage portion 12d, and the mounting leg portion 12f are portions of the peripheral wall 12b that are more rigid than the portions excluding the shrink-fit portion A1. Therefore, the vibration of the protruding portion 120e of the protruding wall portion 12e relative to the peripheral wall 12b is suppressed.

[0046] <Effects of the embodiment> The above embodiment can provide the following effects. (1) The housing 11 is provided with a reinforcing portion 50 that extends to connect the outer circumferential surface of the peripheral wall 12b and the protruding wall portion 12e and suppresses the vibration of the protruding wall portion 12e relative to the peripheral wall 12b. The reinforcing portion 50 is connected to the shrink-fit portion A1, the passage portion 12d, and the mounting leg portion 12f. The shrink-fit portion A1, the passage portion 12d, and the mounting leg portion 12f are, for example, portions of the peripheral wall 12b that are more rigid than the portion excluding the shrink-fit portion A1. The reinforcing portion 50 extends to connect the shrink-fit portion A1, the passage portion 12d, and the mounting leg portion 12f, which are portions of the peripheral wall 12b that are more rigid than the portion excluding the shrink-fit portion A1, to the protruding wall portion 12e. Thus, the vibration of the protruding portion 120e of the protruding wall portion 12e relative to the peripheral wall 12b is suppressed. Therefore, the generation of noise can be suppressed.

[0047] (2) For example, consider a case where the reinforcing portion 50, the passage portion 12d, and the mounting leg portion 12f are not opposed to the protruding wall portion 12e in the axial direction of the rotating shaft 15, but are arranged in a state shifted from the protruding wall portion 12e in the circumferential direction of the rotating shaft 15. In this case, the reinforcing portion 50 is composed of a portion extending from the protruding wall portion 12e in the axial direction of the rotating shaft 15 and a portion extending from the protruding wall portion 12e in the circumferential direction of the rotating shaft 15. In contrast, since the reinforcing portion 50, the passage portion 12d, and the mounting leg portion 12f are opposed to the protruding wall portion 12e in the axial direction of the rotating shaft 15, the reinforcing portion 50 only needs to have a portion extending in the axial direction of the rotating shaft 15. Therefore, the reinforcing portion 50 does not need to have a portion extending in the circumferential direction of the rotating shaft 15. Therefore, an increase in the weight of the reinforcing portion 50 can be suppressed.

[0048] (3) The reinforcing portion 50 is plate-shaped and extends obliquely with respect to the axial direction of the rotating shaft 15 from the outer circumferential surface of the peripheral wall 12b to the protruding wall portion 12e. Therefore, a space X1 is present between the reinforcing portion 50 and a portion of the peripheral wall 12b that faces the reinforcing portion 50 in the radial direction of the rotating shaft 15. This makes it possible to reduce the weight of the in-vehicle electric compressor 10 compared to a configuration in which the space X1 does not exist.

[0049] (4) The magnetic member 31 is mounted on the thin portion 122. This makes it difficult for the axial dimension of the rotating shaft 15 in the vehicle-mounted electric compressor 10 to become large, compared with the case where the magnetic member 31 is mounted on the thick portion 121. However, since the thin portion 122 has a lower rigidity than the thick portion 121, the protruding portion 120e of the protruding wall portion 12e is likely to vibrate relative to the peripheral wall 12b starting from the thin portion 122. Therefore, the reinforcing portion 50 is connected to the thin portion 122. This makes it possible to suppress the vibration of the protruding portion 120e of the protruding wall portion 12e relative to the peripheral wall 12b starting from the thin portion 122. Therefore, it is possible to suppress the vibration of the protruding wall portion 12e relative to the peripheral wall 12b while suppressing the increase in size of the vehicle-mounted electric compressor 10.

[0050] (5) The end wall 12a, which is a partition wall, is provided with an airtight terminal 40, and the airtight terminal 40 faces the electric motor 20 in the axial direction of the rotating shaft 15. This configuration is preferable as a configuration in which the reinforcing portion 50 suppresses vibration of the protruding portion 120e of the protruding wall portion 12e relative to the peripheral wall 12b.

[0051] <Example of change> The above embodiment can be modified as follows: The above embodiment and the following modifications can be combined with each other to the extent that no technical contradiction occurs.

[0052] As shown in FIG. 4, the vehicle-mounted electric compressor 10 may have an inverter case 60 attached to the end wall 12a of the motor housing member 12. The inverter case 60 has a case body 61 and a cover 14. The case body 61 has a case end wall 61a including the protruding wall portion 12e, and an extending wall 61b extending in a cylindrical shape from the outer periphery of the case end wall 61a. The reinforcing portion 50 has a plate-shaped mounting portion 53. The mounting portion 53 extends from an end of the first plate portion 51 opposite to the second plate portion 52. The extending direction of the mounting portion 53 from the first plate portion 51 is perpendicular to the extending direction of the first plate portion 51. The mounting portion 53 extends from the first plate portion 51 toward the opposite side to the second plate portion 52. The mounting portion 53 has an insertion hole 55 formed in the mounting portion 53, through which a bolt 54 for fixing the reinforcing portion 50 to the protruding wall portion 12e is inserted. The mounting portion 53 extends along the outer surface of the protruding wall portion 12e. Then, a bolt 54 passing through an insertion hole 55 is screwed into the protruding wall portion 12e, whereby the mounting portion 53 is attached to the protruding wall portion 12e. In this manner, the reinforcing portion 50 may be a separate member from the protruding wall portion 12e.

[0053] 4, the reinforcing portion 50 may be integrally formed with the inverter case 60. The reinforcing portion 50 may be attached to the peripheral wall 12b of the motor housing member 12 by, for example, bolts.

[0054] In the embodiment, the end wall 12a, which is a partition wall, may not be provided with the airtight terminal 40. In this case, for example, the inverter unit 30 may be arranged radially outward of the rotating shaft 15 with respect to the housing 11. A through hole may be provided in the peripheral wall 12b, and the airtight terminal 40 may be provided in the through hole. Therefore, the compression unit 16, the electric motor 20, and the inverter unit 30 may not be arranged in this order in the axial direction of the rotating shaft 15.

[0055] In the above embodiment, the airtight terminal 40 may be provided at a portion of the end wall 12 a that does not face the electric motor 20 in the axial direction of the rotary shaft 15 . In the embodiment, the thickness of the protruding wall portion 12e may be constant.

[0056] In the above embodiment, the magnetic member 31 may be provided in the thick portion 121 . In the above embodiment, the reinforcing portion 50 may be connected to the thick portion 121 . In the embodiment, the reinforcing portion 50 does not have to be plate-shaped. For example, the reinforcing portion 50 may be block-shaped and may be formed so that the protruding portion 120e and the peripheral wall 12b are integrated without providing a gap between the peripheral wall 12b and the protruding portion 120e. In this case, the in-vehicle electric compressor 10 does not have a space X1 surrounded by the outer circumferential surface of the peripheral wall 12b, the first plate portion 51, the second plate portion 52, and the protruding portion 120e. In short, the in-vehicle electric compressor 10 may have a structure in which the space X1 does not exist between the reinforcing portion 50 and a portion of the peripheral wall 12b that faces the reinforcing portion 50 in the radial direction of the rotating shaft 15.

[0057] In the above embodiment, the reinforcing portion 50 does not necessarily have to have the first plate portion 51. The second plate portion 52 may be connected to the protruding wall portion 12e. In the embodiment, the second plate portion 52 does not have to extend obliquely with respect to the axial direction of the rotating shaft 15 from the outer circumferential surface of the peripheral wall 12b to the protruding wall portion 12e. In this case, for example, the second plate portion 52 may extend from the outer circumferential surface of the peripheral wall 12b in the radial direction of the rotating shaft 15. The second plate portion 52 may be connected to the first plate portion 51 extending in the axial direction of the rotating shaft 15 from the protruding portion 120e.

[0058] In the above embodiment, the reinforcing portion 50, the passage portion 12d, and the mounting leg portion 12f do not have to face the protruding wall portion 12e in the axial direction of the rotating shaft 15. In the embodiment, the reinforcing portion 50 does not need to be connected to all of the shrink-fit portion A1, the passage portion 12d, and the mounting leg portion 12f. In short, it is sufficient that the reinforcing portion 50 is connected to at least one of the shrink-fit portion A1, the passage portion 12d, and the mounting leg portion 12f.

[0059] In the above-mentioned embodiment, the housing 11 may have a passage portion that has an internal passage for discharging the refrigerant from the motor chamber S1. In the embodiment, the position of the suction passage 12h and the position of the discharge port 13h may be interchanged. In this case, the housing 11 has a passage therein for discharging the refrigerant from the motor chamber S1 and a cylindrical passage portion protruding from the outer circumferential surface of the peripheral wall 12b. The reinforcing portion 50 may be connected to the passage portion.

[0060] In the embodiment, the first plate portion 51 may protrude from a portion that is radially outer of the rotating shaft 15 than the center of the protruding portion 120e in the radial direction of the rotating shaft 15. The first plate portion 51 may protrude from a portion that is radially inner of the rotating shaft 15 than the center of the protruding portion 120e in the radial direction of the rotating shaft 15. In short, as long as the reinforcing portion 50 is configured to suppress vibration of the protruding wall portion 12e relative to the peripheral wall 12b, the protruding position of the reinforcing portion 50 from the protruding wall portion 12e may be changed as appropriate.

[0061] In the above-mentioned embodiment, the compression section 16 is not limited to a scroll type, and may be, for example, a piston type or a vane type. [Explanation of symbols]
