Abstract

To suitably support registration of commodities by clerks and customers.SOLUTION: A sales data processing device includes: customer registration means that registers a commodity according to operation of a customer; clerk registration means that registers a commodity according to operation of a clerk; commodity display selection means that displays a region showing commodities and receives selection of a commodity; imaging means that images a target commodity including characteristics of the commodity or a symbol code attached to the commodity; first commodity identification means that identifies the commodity on the basis of the characteristics imaged by the imaging means; and second commodity identification means that identifies the commodity on the basis of the symbol code imaged by the imaging means. The customer registration means registers, when a commodity is not identified by the second commodity identification means, the commodity identified by the first commodity identification means. The clerk registration means registers, when a commodity is not identified by the second commodity identifying means, the commodity whose selection is received by the commodity display selection means.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 25
