Description

Technical Field

[0001] The present invention relates to a hinge cap comprising a cap body attached to the mouth of a container body and an upper lid connected to the cap body via a hinge. In particular, when pouring out the content liquid, the present invention relates to a hinge cap that can suppress the dripping of the content liquid outside the cap body.

Background Art

[0002] In a hinge cap attached to a container body, before use, it is provided with a plug-type partition wall for closing the pouring outlet. When in use, after unplugging and opening the partition wall and then tilting the container body to pour out the content liquid from the pouring outlet of the cap body, usually, the content liquid is guided in the pouring direction by a pouring cylinder erected around the pouring outlet. At this time, depending on the type of the content liquid and the pouring method, the liquid may flow around the outside of the pouring cylinder or drip, resulting in problems such as the inside of the hinge cap becoming dirty and unhygienic or looking bad.

[0003] For this reason, a plug-type hinge cap is conventionally known in which a liquid drip prevention fin protruding in an obliquely inward direction is formed over a predetermined arc range on the upper inner circumference on the side opposite to the hinge of the lid engagement portion, and the content liquid dripping in the pouring direction of the pouring cylinder during pouring is collected into the container body by the liquid drip prevention fin (see, for example, Patent Document 1).

Summary of the Invention

Problems to be Solved by the Invention

[0005] In the hinge cap described in the above Patent Document 1, when the container body is tilted to pour out the content liquid from the pouring cylinder after removing the stopper, even if the content liquid drips outside the pouring cylinder, it can be recovered into the container body by the drip prevention fins. However, depending on the viscosity of the content liquid, the content liquid from the pouring cylinder may drip along the outer circumference of the pouring cylinder and stain the outside of the cap body.

[0006] An object of the present invention is to solve the above problems and provide a hinge cap that can suppress the liquid dripping outside the pouring cylinder from dripping outside the cap body when pouring out the content liquid.

Means for Solving the Problems

[0007] In order to solve the above problems, the present invention provides a hinge cap comprising a cap body attached to the mouth of a container body and an upper lid connected to the cap body via a hinge. The cap body includes a mounting portion attached to the mouth of the container body, an upper wall extending inward from the mounting portion, and a pouring cylinder erected at the inner edge of the upper wall. The mounting portion includes a base wall that abuts against the upper surface of the mouth of the container body and a lid engaging portion erected on the upper part of the base wall and engaging with the upper lid. The lid engaging portion is formed on the side opposite to the hinge and includes a drip prevention rib protruding radially outward and a space formed downward from the tip of the drip prevention rib. The upper cover includes a top wall, a side peripheral wall vertically provided from the periphery of the top wall, and a seal cylinder vertically provided from the lower surface of the top wall to seal the pouring cylinder. The side peripheral wall is provided with an inner stepped portion recessed on the side opposite to the hinge so that the tip of the liquid leakage prevention rib does not contact when the lid is closed. It adopts a configuration characterized by the above.

[0008] As an embodiment of the hinge cap of the present invention, The base wall is it adopts a configuration characterized by including a top surface portion that forms a space between the lower surface of the drip prevention rib on the upper surface on the side opposite to the hinge.

[0009] As a specific embodiment of the hinge cap, the pouring cylinder is provided with a lip portion that curves outward at the upper end on the side opposite to the hinge, and the drip prevention rib is curved outward in the same shape as the lip portion. Also, the lid engaging portion adopts a configuration characterized by including a liquid stop protrusion formed toward the inner side in the radial direction of the drip prevention rib.

Effects of the Invention

[0010] By adopting the above configuration, the hinge cap of the present invention can suppress the content liquid from dripping along the outer periphery of the pouring cylinder and getting dirty on the outside of the cap body even when the container body is tilted during the use of the content liquid.

Modes for Carrying Out the Invention

[0012] Next, the hinge cap of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings by giving examples. In the following description, with reference to Fig. 1(a), the upward direction is defined as "up", the downward direction as "down", the left direction as the "pouring side", and the right direction as the "hinge side".

Embodiment

[0013] In Figs. 1 and 2, A is a cap body attached to the container body D, and B is an upper lid connected to the cap body A via a hinge C. The container body D has a mouth portion 1 at the upper part, and an engaging ridge 2 protruding annularly is provided on the outer periphery of the mouth portion 1 for attaching the cap body A.

[0014] As shown in Figs. 1 to 3, the cap body A includes a mounting portion 5 attached to the mouth portion 1 of the container body D, a ring-shaped upper wall 6 extending inward from the mounting portion 5, a pouring cylinder 7 erected on the inner edge of the upper wall 6, and a partition portion 8 connected to the lower end of the inner periphery of the pouring cylinder 7. The pouring cylinder 7 is formed such that the pouring side (opposite to the hinge C) is high and gradually becomes lower from both the left and right sides toward the hinge C side. In particular, at the upper end of the pouring side, a lip portion 7a is formed which curves outward to improve the flow and drainage of the liquid.

[0015] The mounting portion 5 includes an inner cylinder 9 fitted to the inner periphery of the mouth portion 1 of the container body D, a base wall 10 whose inner peripheral edge is connected to the upper end of the inner cylinder 9 and abuts against the upper surface of the mouth portion 1, and an outer peripheral wall portion 11 connected to the outer peripheral edge of the base wall 10 and fitted to the outer periphery of the mouth portion 1. An upper lid engaging portion 12 for engaging with the upper lid B to close the lid is erected on the upper part of the base wall 10. A fitting ridge 13 is provided at the lower end of the inner periphery of the outer peripheral wall portion 11. The mounting portion 5 is fitted to the mouth portion 1 of the container body D by capping, and the mouth portion 1 is clamped by the outer periphery of the inner cylinder 9, the base wall 10, and the inner periphery of the outer peripheral wall portion 11. At the same time, the engaging ridge 2 of the mouth portion 1 and the fitting ridge 13 of the outer peripheral wall portion 11 are engaged, and the cap body A is attached to the mouth portion 1 of the container body D.

[0016] On the outer peripheral wall portion 11, a hinge C is continuously provided at a predetermined position at the upper end of the outer periphery. In this embodiment, as shown in Fig. 3(a), in the vicinity of the left side of the hinge C when viewed from the hinge C side, an outer peripheral cutout portion 14 having a substantially V-shaped cross-section in plan view is cut into the outer peripheral surface from above, leaving a thin bottom wall 15 at the lower end portion. Although not shown, an inner peripheral cutout portion is engraved in the longitudinal direction at a position corresponding to the outer peripheral cutout portion 14 of the fitting protrusion 13, and a longitudinal tear line is formed. Further, on the hinge C side of the outer peripheral wall portion 11, starting from a position separated from the thin-walled portion at the upper part on the inner peripheral side of the outer peripheral cutout portion 14, it extends in an arc shape through the hinge C side, and a slit groove 16 is recessed from above up to the vicinity of the center on the right side when viewed from the hinge C of the outer peripheral wall portion 11. With the starting point of the slit groove 16 adjacent to the longitudinal tear line as the tear start point, it is possible to tear the inner side of the bottom surface of the slit groove 16 as a circumferential tear line. In this embodiment, by pulling the upper lid B, the longitudinal tear line and the circumferential tear line of the outer peripheral wall portion 11 are torn through the hinge C, the fitting of the fitting portion 5 of the cap body A attached to the mouth portion 1 of the container body D is removed, and it serves as a separation mechanism for separating the cap body A from the container body D. Note that the separation mechanism may be based on other methods or may not be provided.

[0017] On the outer peripheral upper end portion on the pouring side of the outer peripheral wall portion 11, as shown in Figs. 2(b) and 3(a), an arcuate lid closing step portion 17 is recessed from the upper end to a certain depth within a range of 180° connecting the left and right sides of the outer peripheral wall portion 11 in plan view. Further, in the vicinity of the central portion on the pouring side, a finger hook recess 18 extending downward from the lid closing step portion 17 is recessed in the outer periphery.

[0018] As shown in Fig. 3, the lid engaging portion 12 is parallel to the center lines on the left and right sides within a range of a predetermined angle θ1 (in this embodiment, θ1 is approximately 20°) on each side from the center on the pouring-out side in a plan view, and is formed in a cylindrical shape from a pouring-out side wall portion 20 that is separated from the outer edge of the base wall 10 by a length L (1.4 mm in this embodiment, but preferably 1 mm or more) and an engaging side wall portion 21 other than that. Further, at least within a range of a predetermined angle θ2 (in this embodiment, θ2 is approximately 55° (a part of the pouring-out side wall portion 20 and the engaging side wall portion 21)) on each side from the center on the pouring-out side, it is formed of a low wall portion 12a whose wall height is lower than that of the other high wall portions 12b. Note that, regarding the range excluding the angle θ1 in the angle θ2, the wall height may be the same as that of the high wall portion 12b. On the base wall 10, a top surface portion 10a that forms an arc shape with a radial length of L in a plan view is formed on the upper surface on the pouring-out side. In this embodiment, the top surface portion 10a is a flat surface, but a concave portion may be provided.

[0019] On the outer peripheral upper end portion of the pouring-out side wall portion 20 of the lid engaging portion 12, a liquid leakage prevention rib 22 is provided so that the tip portion at the center on the pouring-out side protrudes outward and upward at an inclination with a length substantially the same as the length L and higher than the high wall portion 12b, and is formed in an arc shape that covers the top surface portion 10a in a plan view. On the outer peripheral upper end of the engaging side wall portion 21 on the hinge C side, a lid engaging protrusion 23 that protrudes outward is provided. In the center on the pouring-out side of the mounting portion 5, a space α that opens outward is formed by the lower surface of the liquid leakage prevention rib 22, the outer side surface of the pouring-out side wall portion 20, and the top surface portion 10a of the base wall 10. Note that, in this embodiment, the liquid leakage prevention rib 22 is formed in an arc shape that protrudes outward and upward at an inclination and covers the top surface portion 10a in a plan view, but any shape may be used as long as it protrudes radially outward.

[0020] The partition portion 8 is provided with a breakable thin-wall weakening portion 25. The thin-wall weakening portion 25 defines a removal portion 26 that communicates with the inside of the container body D and forms a pouring outlet S when broken. On the hinge C side of the removal portion 26, a pull ring 28 is continuously provided via a support column 27.

[0021] As shown in FIGS. 1 to 3, the upper lid B includes a top wall 30, a side peripheral wall 31 vertically provided from the periphery of the top wall 30, and a seal cylinder 32 vertically provided from the lower surface of the top wall 30 and inserted into the inner periphery of the pouring cylinder 7 of the cap body A for sealing. The lower part of the side peripheral wall 31 is provided with a thick outer peripheral wall part 33 protruding outward, which is thick. A hinge C is connected to the outer peripheral lower end of the thick outer peripheral wall part 33 at a predetermined position, and a knob part 34 is formed on the pouring side.

[0022] As shown in FIG. 3, in the side peripheral wall 31 and the thick outer peripheral wall part 33, cut recesses 35 are recessed from the lower surface in a range of a predetermined angle θ3 (in this embodiment, θ3 is about 35°) to the left and right from the center on the pouring side in a plan view. The knob part 34 is formed so as to cover the cut recess 35 when viewed from the pouring side.

[0023] At the inner peripheral lower end of the side peripheral wall 31 other than the cut recess 35, when the lid is closed, the lower surface 36a abuts against the upper surface of the high wall part 12b of the engaging side wall part 21 of the lid engaging part 12 of the cap body A, and the inner surface 36b engages with the outer periphery of the engaging side wall part 21 and the lid engaging protrusion 23 to maintain the closed lid state, and a lid closing recess 36 is recessed. Inside the cut recess 35, an inner stepped part 37 is provided, which is recessed higher than the lower surface 36a of the lid closing recess 36 so that the tip of the liquid dripping prevention rib 22 does not abut when the lid is closed.

[0024] As shown in FIG. 2, in order to facilitate the deformation of the side peripheral wall 31 and the thick outer peripheral wall part 33 except for the knob part 34 and the hinge C, a plurality of V-grooves 38 having a V-shaped cross-sectional shape are formed in the longitudinal direction from the outer periphery. On the lower surface excluding the cut recess 35 on the pouring side from the center line connecting the left and right sides, arc-shaped lid closing protrusions 39 are provided on both sides, which cover the bottom surface and the side surface of both sides of the arc-shaped lid closing step part 17 of the outer peripheral wall part 11 of the cap body A when the lid is closed.

[0025] At the inner peripheral lower end of the seal cylinder 32, a liquid dripping prevention flap 40 protruding inward is provided over a predetermined arc range on the hinge C side.

[0026] The grip portion 34 includes an upper wall portion 34a formed in an arc shape from the upper edge of the notch recess 35 on the pouring-out side of the thick outer peripheral wall portion 33, and side wall portions 34b connecting the outer edges of the upper wall portion 34a from both side edges of the notch recess 35.

[0027] Next, the usage mode and working effects of this embodiment will be described. As shown in FIG. 3, the hinge cap of this embodiment integrally forms the cap body A and the upper lid B in an open lid state via the hinge C, and then covers the cap body A with the upper lid B using the hinge C as a fulcrum to make it in a closed lid state. At that time, the lower end outer periphery of the seal cylinder 32 of the upper lid B is inserted into the inner periphery of the pouring cylinder 7 of the cap body A to seal the inside, and the closing recess 36 of the side peripheral wall 31 of the upper lid B engages with the outside of the engaging side wall portion 21 and the engaging projection portion 23 of the lid engaging portion 12 of the cap body A, and the closed lid state is maintained.

[0028] The hinge cap in the closed lid state is plugged onto the mouth portion 1 of the container body D and is mounted as shown in FIG. 1. In the plugging process, when the annular groove portion formed between the inner cylinder 9, the base wall 10, and the outer peripheral wall portion 11 of the cap body A is applied to the mouth portion 1 of the container body D and a pressing force is applied from above the upper lid B, first, the fitting ridge 13 of the outer peripheral wall portion 11 gets over the engaging ridge 2 of the mouth portion 1 and fits, and the mouth portion 1 is clamped by the annular groove portion, and the hinge cap is mounted.

[0029] When using the container with the hinge cap of this embodiment mounted, hook a finger on the grip portion 34 and lift it up. After opening the upper lid B with the hinge C as a fulcrum, pull upward the pull ring 28 connected to the removal portion 26 defined by the partition wall portion 8 of the cap body A, lift up the removal portion 26 via the support column 27, break the thin-wall weakening portion 25, separate the removal portion 26 from the partition wall portion 8 to remove the plug, and open the pouring port S.

[0030] When opening the lid, the thickness of the thick-walled outer peripheral wall portion 33 at the lower part of the side peripheral wall 31 of the upper lid B is thick, which inhibits the deformation of the lower part of the side peripheral wall 31. However, due to the V-groove 38 formed in the thick-walled outer peripheral wall portion 33, the thickness of that part becomes thin. Therefore, the lower part of the side peripheral wall 31 is likely to expand outward to a certain extent, and even without applying much force, the engagement between the engaging side wall portion 21 of the lid engaging portion 12 of the cap body A and the outside of the lid engaging protrusion 23 and the engagement between the lid engaging recess 36 of the side peripheral wall 31 of the upper lid B can be disengaged easily, and the lid can be opened.

[0031] If the content liquid stored in the container body D is something like dressing that needs to be stirred by shaking the container body D before use, after separating the removal portion 26 from the partition wall portion 8 and opening the spout S, once the upper lid B is closed and the container body D is shaken, then the upper lid B is opened again, and the container body D is tilted to guide the content liquid along the inner surface of the pouring cylinder 7 of the cap body A for pouring.

[0032] When the container body D is shaken, the stirred content liquid comes out from the spout S and adheres to the upper surface of the partition wall portion 8, the inside of the pouring cylinder 7, the inside of the seal cylinder 32 that seals the pouring cylinder 7 of the upper lid B, and the inner surface of the top wall 30, but then it flows down and is recovered into the container body D from the spout S. Also, when opening the lid again, the upper lid B is rotated around the hinge C, and the liquid dripping prevention flap 40 of the seal cylinder 32 temporarily receives the liquid adhering to the inside of the seal cylinder 32 and acts to prevent liquid dripping.

[0033] When the container body D is tilted toward the pouring side to pour out the content liquid, the content liquid flowing out from the pouring outlet S is guided by the inner surface of the pouring cylinder 7 of the cap body A and rectified by the lip portion 7a before being poured out. However, when the content liquid is something with a certain viscosity such as oil, if the container body D is tilted slowly, in the case of a conventional hinge cap as shown in Fig. 5(a), the content liquid from the lip portion will cling to the outside of the pouring cylinder and try to flow down along the outside of the lid engaging portion and the outer peripheral wall portion of the cap body. In contrast, in the hinge cap of this embodiment, as shown in Figs. 4(a) and 5(b), the content liquid flowing along the outside of the pouring cylinder 7 hits the liquid dripping prevention rib 22 on the pouring side wall portion 20 of the lid engaging portion 12 and is guided, and then flows down with the tip of the liquid dripping prevention rib 22 at the lowest position, so that the content liquid does not flow onto the wall surface of the outer peripheral wall portion 11 below it.

[0034] After the content liquid is poured out, when the tilt of the container body D is returned to the upright position, the outflow of the content liquid from inside the pouring cylinder 7 is stopped, and it is returned into the pouring outlet S. At the same time, the residual liquid clinging to the outside of the pouring cylinder 7 flows down and is accumulated on the upper surface of the upper wall 6 and inside the lid engaging portion 12. In this embodiment, although the upper surface of the upper wall 6 is flat, it may be set to have a downward gradient from the pouring side toward the hinge C side so as to collect the content liquid accumulated on the upper surface of the upper wall 6 from the hinge C side.

[0035] Also, when the tilt of the container body D is returned to the upright position, the content liquid slightly clinging to the vicinity of the tip of the liquid dripping prevention rib 22 flows down along the lower surface of the liquid dripping prevention rib 22. However, due to the viscosity of the content liquid and the surface tension caused by a certain amount of liquid cohesion as shown in Fig. 4(b), it stays in the space α and does not flow out beyond the top surface portion 10a of the base wall 10, preventing the upper surface and the outer peripheral surface of the outer peripheral wall portion 11 on the pouring side, especially the closing lid step portion 17 and the finger hook recess 18, from being soiled. The content liquid remaining in the space α will, when the container body D is tilted again to pour out the content liquid, flow down from the space α along the lower surface of the liquid dripping prevention rib 22 and flow down together with the content liquid from the pouring cylinder 7 from the tip of the liquid dripping prevention rib 22.

[0036] After using the content liquid, when closing the upper lid B, since no residual liquid remains on the upper surface of the outer peripheral wall portion 11 of the cap body A on the pouring side, no residual liquid will splash due to the impact of contact with the lower surface of the side peripheral wall 31 of the upper lid B during lid closing. Also, an inner stepped portion 37 is provided on the pouring side of the cutout recess 35 of the side peripheral wall 31 of the upper lid B, so that the tip of the liquid leakage prevention rib 22 of the cap body A does not come into contact, and the residual liquid adhering to the tip of the liquid leakage prevention rib 22 does not splash by contacting the pouring side of the side peripheral wall 31 of the upper lid B during lid closing.

[0037] In the hinge cap of this embodiment, during or after pouring the content liquid, the content liquid dripping from the tip of the pouring cylinder 7 does not flow onto the upper surface and the outer peripheral surface of the outer peripheral wall portion 11 of the cap body A, nor does it splash due to the impact of lid closing, and it does not stain the outside of the cap body A.

Embodiment

[0038] Next, a second embodiment in which the configuration of the lid engaging portion 12 of the upper lid B of the cap body A is changed will be described. Hereinafter, the same components as those in the first embodiment are denoted by the same reference numerals, and the description will focus on the differences.

[0039] As shown in FIG. 6, on the upper surface of the pouring side wall portion 20 of the lid engaging portion 12 of the mounting portion 5 of the cap body Aa, a lip piece portion 45 as a liquid leakage prevention rib whose uppermost part is higher than the high wall portion 12b and is curved outward to improve the flow and cut-off of the liquid is formed in the same shape as the lip portion 7a of the pouring cylinder 7. A space β that opens outward is formed at the center of the pouring side of the mounting portion 5 by the lower surface of the lip piece portion 45, the outer surface of the pouring side wall portion 20, and the top surface portion 10a of the base wall 10. An inner stepped portion 37 is provided on the pouring side inside the cutout recess 35 of the side peripheral wall 31 of the upper lid B so that the tip and the uppermost part of the lip piece portion 45 do not come into contact during lid closing.

[0040] Next, the operation and effect of the hinge cap of this embodiment will be described. When the container body D is tilted to the pouring side to pour out the content liquid, the content liquid that travels outside the pouring cylinder 7 from the tip of the lip portion 7a of the pouring cylinder 7 hits the upper part of the pouring side wall portion 20 of the lid engaging portion 12, is guided, and flows downward along the curvature of the upper surface of the lip piece portion 45. Therefore, it is possible to prevent the outer peripheral wall portion 11 and the lower pouring side from being soiled. Also, the content liquid adhering to the outside of the lip piece portion 45 can be retained in the space β by the viscosity of the liquid and the surface tension due to a certain degree of cohesion of the liquid. No residual liquid remains on the upper surface of the pouring side of the outer peripheral wall portion 11 of the cap body Aa, and since the side peripheral wall 31 of the upper lid B does not contact the tip of the lip piece portion 45, no residual liquid scatters when closing the lid. Other functions and effects are the same as those of the first embodiment.

Embodiment

[0041] Next, a third embodiment in which the configuration of the lid engaging portion 12 of the upper lid B of the cap body A is changed will be described. Hereinafter, the same components as those in the first embodiment are denoted by the same reference numerals, and the description will focus on the differences.

[0042] As shown in FIG. 7, on the pouring side wall portion 20 of the lid engaging portion 12 of the mounting portion 5 of the cap body Ab, a drip prevention rib 22 protruding outward and upward is provided at the outer peripheral upper end portion, and a liquid stop protrusion 50 is formed at the inner peripheral upper end portion in the upward direction radially inside the drip prevention rib 22. In the center of the pouring side of the mounting portion 5, a space α that opens outward is formed by the lower surface of the drip prevention rib 22, the outer surface of the pouring side wall portion 20, and the top surface portion 10a of the base wall 10. Inside the cutout recess 35 of the side peripheral wall 31 of the upper lid B, an inner stepped portion 37 is provided on the pouring side so that the tip of the drip prevention rib 22 does not contact when the lid is closed.

[0043] Next, the functions and effects of the hinge cap of this embodiment will be described. When the container body D is tilted to the pouring side to pour out the content liquid, the content liquid that has traveled outside the pouring cylinder 7 from the tip of the lip portion 7a of the pouring cylinder 7 hits the tip of the liquid retaining projection 50 on the pouring side wall portion 20 of the lid engaging portion 12 and flows down along the upper surface of the liquid retaining projection 50, guided by the drip prevention rib 22. Also, since the content liquid hits the tip of the liquid retaining projection 50 and is guided along the upper surface of the liquid retaining projection 50, liquid does not flow into the space between the outer periphery of the pouring cylinder 7 and the inner periphery of the pouring side wall portion 20, and it is possible to prevent liquid from accumulating between the outer periphery of the pouring cylinder 7 and the inner periphery of the pouring side wall portion 20. Other operational effects are the same as those of the first embodiment.

Industrial Applicability

[0044] The hinge cap of the present invention can suppress the dripping of the content liquid to the outside of the cap body in the pouring direction when the container body is tilted during use of the content liquid, without soiling the outside of the cap body, and can be widely used as a hinge cap for containers that require a hygienic use environment. In particular, it is suitable as a hinge cap for containers filled with liquid foods such as edible oil and liquid seasonings.
