[0011] In describing embodiments of the present invention, the term "comprising" and similar terms are intended to be open-ended inclusions, including, but not limited to, the term "based on" should be understood to mean "based at least in part on." The term "an embodiment" or "the embodiment" should be understood to mean "at least one embodiment." The term "some embodiments" should be understood to mean "at least some embodiments." The following specification may contain explicit and implicit definitions:

[0012] FIG. 1 is a schematic diagram of an exemplary environment 100 in which an embodiment of the present invention may be implemented. In the exemplary environment 100, a terminal device 110 has an application 120 installed thereon. A user 140 may interact with the application 120 via the terminal device 110 and / or an accessory device of the terminal device 110. The application 120 may be a content-sharing application and may provide the user 140 with services related to multimedia content consumption, including viewing, commenting, retweeting, creating (e.g., capturing and / or editing), publishing, etc., of multimedia content. As used herein, "multimedia content" may refer to various forms of content, including video, audio, images, image sets, text, etc.

[0013] 1, when active in application 120, terminal device 110 may present user 140 with pages 150 of application 120. Pages 150 may include various types of pages that application 120 may provide, including multimedia content presentation pages, content creation pages, content editing pages, message pages, personal pages, mall pages, etc.

[0014] In some embodiments, terminal device 110 communicates with server 130 to provide services to application 120. Terminal device 110 may be any type of mobile, fixed, or portable terminal, including a mobile phone, desktop computer, laptop computer, notebook computer, netbook computer, tablet computer, media computer, multimedia tablet, personal communication system (PCS) device, personal navigation device, personal digital assistant (PDA), audio / video player, digital camera / camcorder, positioning device, television receiver, radio broadcast receiver, e-book device, gaming device, or any combination thereof, including accessories and peripherals of these devices, or any combination thereof. In some embodiments, terminal device 110 may also support any type of user interface (e.g., “wearable” circuitry, etc.). Server 130 may be any type of computing system / server capable of providing computing capabilities, including, but not limited to, a mainframe, an edge computing node, a computing device in a cloud environment, etc.

[0015] It should be understood that the structure and functionality of environment 100 is described for illustrative purposes only and is not intended to imply any limitation on the scope of the present invention.

[0016] In a page interaction process, it is expected that pages that provide specific functions can be accessed relatively conveniently and quickly. An embodiment of the present invention proposes a solution for page interaction, in which a non-click posture is used to conveniently switch to a specific page. Because a non-click posture can also be used for other page interaction operations, an embodiment of the present invention proposes using a specific interaction posture type and supporting switching to a specific page using a non-click posture on a specific page. This not only supports convenient and quick switching and access to a specific page, but also minimizes the impact on other interaction operations.

[0017] In the following, several exemplary embodiments of the present invention will be described with continued reference to the drawings.

[0018] 2 shows a flowchart of a process 200 for page interaction in some embodiments according to the present invention. Process 200 may be implemented in terminal device 110. For ease of discussion, process 200 will be described with reference to environment 100 of FIG. 1.

[0019] In box 210, the terminal device 110 presents a predetermined icon for accessing the second page at a predetermined location within the first page.

[0020] In some embodiments, the page may be a page of an application, such as a page of application 120. In other embodiments, the page may also be a non-application page, such as a netpage page.

[0021] In a page layout, navigation tabs can be used to quickly locate and access a specific page or several specific pages. Navigation tabs usually occupy a certain size, so considering the constraints of page size and the convenience of user selection, it is often not possible to arrange too many navigation tabs for accessing each page. Compared with navigation tabs, the arrangement of icons requires a smaller size, so icons can be selected as access portals for some pages.

[0022] In an embodiment of the present invention, a predetermined icon is placed on a particular page, and the predetermined icon is used to access another page. For ease of discussion, the page presenting the predetermined icon will be referred to as a "first page," which may be any suitable page, and the page corresponding to the predetermined icon will be referred to as a "second page," which may also be any suitable page. The second page is different from the first page.

[0023] In some examples, the first page and the second page may comprise pages in a multimedia sharing application. In some examples, the first page and the second page may comprise pages in a video sharing application. In some examples, the first page may comprise a video presenting page. In some examples, the second page may comprise a non-video presenting page or another video presenting page.

[0024] The presentation position of the predetermined icon within the first page (i.e., the "predetermined position") can be set according to layout needs. The presentation position of the predetermined icon within different pages may be the same or different, and the present invention is not limited in this respect. The predetermined icon may be an icon for accessing any other page. As an example, the predetermined icon may be a message icon corresponding to a message page that can provide a message interaction function. In another example, the predetermined icon may be used to access any other page, such as a multimedia content presentation page (e.g., a video presentation page), a content creation page, a content editing page, a personal page, a mall page, etc. In the following specification and examples of drawings, for purposes of discussion, a message icon in a video sharing application will be described as an example. However, it should be understood that embodiments of the present invention are applicable to other applications and other types of icons.

[0025] 3A illustrates an example page 300 having a predefined icon presentation in application 120. In the example, application 120 is illustrated as a video sharing application, and page 300 illustrates a video presentation page. A predefined message icon 310 is presented in an upper left position, such as in the upper left corner, of page 300.

[0026] In other examples, the predetermined icon may also be located in other positions, such as the top right position (e.g., top right corner), the bottom left position (e.g., bottom left corner), or the bottom right position (e.g., bottom right corner) of the page.

[0027] In addition to the predetermined icons, the first page may also have one or more navigation tabs. Navigation tabs are typically used to facilitate quicker user switching and access to specific pages. In some implementations, the application 120 arranges pages corresponding to the navigation tabs according to a certain page navigation structure. The page navigation structure may have a hierarchical structure including multiple levels, each level having one or more navigation tabs, and one or more navigation tabs in one level may further be connected to one or more navigation tabs in the next level.

[0028] In the example of FIG. 3A, the page navigation structure has two levels: a first level includes navigation tabs presented in navigation tab bar 320, and a second level includes navigation tabs presented in navigation tab bar 330.

[0029] 3A , navigation tab bar 320 of page 300 is located at the bottom of page 300 and is also referred to as the “bottom navigation tab bar.” A set of navigation tabs is presented in navigation tab bar 320, including navigation tabs 322-1, 322-2, 322-3, and 322-4 (collectively or individually referred to herein as navigation tabs 322 for ease of discussion). Navigation tab 322-1 has the text “Home” indicating that the navigation tab corresponds to the home page of application 120, navigation tab 322-2 has the text “Friends” indicating that the navigation tab corresponds to the friend content page of application 120, navigation tab 322-3 has the text “Mall” indicating that the navigation tab corresponds to the shopping page of application 120, and navigation tab 322-4 has the text “Me” indicating that the navigation tab corresponds to the user's personal page.

[0030] After a particular navigation tab in navigation tab bar 320 is selected, if one or more navigation tabs in a second hierarchy are further connected to that navigation tab, the navigation tabs in the second hierarchy are presented in navigation tab bar 330. In the example shown in FIG. 3A , assume that navigation tab 322-1 "Home Page" in the first hierarchy is selected, and in response, multiple navigation tabs in the second hierarchy connected to navigation tab 332-1 are presented in navigation tab bar 330. Of course, in some implementations, a particular or specific navigation tab in the first hierarchy may not be connected to one or more navigation tabs in the second hierarchy.

[0031] Navigation tab bar 330 is located at the top of page 300 and is also referred to as the “top navigation tab bar.” Navigation tabs 332-1, 332-2, and 332-3 (collectively or individually referred to herein as navigation tabs 332 for ease of discussion) are presented in the navigation tab bar. These navigation tabs correspond to navigation tab 332-1 at a higher level. Navigation tab 332-1 has the word “Recommended” to indicate that the content page is recommended and may present recommended content from application 120. Navigation tab 332-2 has the word “Follow” to indicate that the content page is followed and may present content from followed users. Navigation tab 332-3 has the word “Same City” to indicate content pages in a specific region (e.g., a specific city). In some embodiments, although not shown in the drawings, navigation tab bar 330 may additionally or alternatively include navigation tabs corresponding to friend content pages. For example, the first-level navigation tab 322-2 "Friends" in the navigation tab bar 320 may be placed as a second-level navigation tab below "Top Page."

[0032] It should be understood that navigation tab bar 330 may include more navigation tabs, but these navigation tabs are not explicitly shown on page 300. For example, more navigation tabs in navigation tab bar 330 can be displayed by sliding left and right. In some embodiments, the presentation positions of the first-level navigation tab bar (e.g., navigation tab bar 320) and the second-level navigation tab bar (e.g., navigation tab bar 330) within a page may be switched, or may be presented on the left and right sides of the page, respectively. These are not limitations of embodiments of the present invention.

[0033] A user can access the corresponding pages by selecting these navigation tabs in navigation tab bars 320 and 330. For example, when first-level navigation tab 322-1 "Top Page" is selected and second-level navigation tab 332-1 "Recommended" is selected, currently displayed page 300 is displayed, presenting the contents of the "Recommended" page below "Top Page" of application 120. In some implementations, in the absence of a user selection, for example, when a user launches application 120, default navigation tabs (e.g., navigation tabs "Top Page" and "Recommended") may be selected to display a default page (e.g., Top Page Recommendation Page).

[0034] It should be understood that page 300 of FIG. 3A and the pages in the other figures described herein are merely example pages, and that a variety of actual page designs may exist. Graphical elements within a page may have different arrangements and different visual representations, one or more of the elements may be omitted or substituted, and one or more other elements may be present. Embodiments of the present invention are not limited in this respect.

[0035] In box 220, the terminal device 110 detects a non-click pose on the first page.

[0036] When a predetermined icon is presented on the first page, the user may access the second page corresponding to the predetermined icon. In some cases, the navigation tab may be located at a relatively convenient position for the user to click or select within the first page, and the predetermined icon may be located at a relative edge position. Note that the size of the predetermined icon is usually smaller, making it relatively difficult to select by clicking. Therefore, to facilitate quick access to the second page, the present invention proposes a method for entering the second page in a non-click position, because the non-click position is usually convenient for the user to operate in various areas of the screen according to various situations.

[0037] When a non-click posture is detected, the terminal device 110 determines whether the non-click posture corresponds to the selection of a predetermined icon based on the type of the non-click posture and the position corresponding to the first page in the page navigation structure in box 240. If it is determined that the non-click posture corresponds to the selection of the predetermined icon, the terminal device 110 switches from the first page to the second page in box 250.

[0038] The non-click posture includes various interaction postures for controlling page interaction other than the click posture. One example of the non-click posture may include a slide gesture. The non-click posture may further include interaction operations other than gestures, such as eye movement interaction operations and face pose interaction operations. The non-click posture is typically more convenient to operate because it does not require accurate and quick positioning and clicking on a specific icon or location.

[0039] Due to its convenience, the non-click posture is usually used in many page interaction situations. To better distinguish between access to the first page and the second page, an embodiment of the present invention proposes determining whether the currently detected non-click posture corresponds to the selection of a predetermined icon based on the type of non-click posture and the position corresponding to the first page in the page navigation structure. In particular, when a certain type of non-click posture is detected on a specific page, it is determined that the current non-click posture corresponds to the selection of a predetermined icon.

[0040] Different types of non-click postures are used to indicate different interaction operations. In examples where the non-click posture includes a slide gesture, the types of non-click postures can be distinguished by the slide direction. In some embodiments, the types of slide gestures may include a leftward slide gesture, a rightward slide gesture, an upward slide gesture, a downward slide gesture, or a slide gesture with another specific trajectory. In some embodiments, one or more types of slide gestures are used to indicate selection of a predetermined icon. When the non-click posture includes other postures of the non-slide gesture, a specific type of non-click posture may be set to indicate selection of a predetermined icon.

[0041] Specifically, when a non-click posture is detected on the first page, the terminal device 110 can determine whether the first page is positioned by a target navigation tab at the first level of the page navigation structure (for ease of discussion, may be referred to as the "first target navigation tab") and another target navigation tab at the second level (for ease of discussion, may be referred to as the "second target navigation tab"), and further determines whether the slide gesture is a predetermined type of non-click posture.

[0042] In some embodiments, a slide gesture in a predetermined direction on a specific page can be set to correspond to the selection of a specific icon. In one example, a right slide gesture can be set to correspond to the selection of a specific icon. Thus, the slide gesture in the predetermined direction is a right slide gesture. In some embodiments, a left slide gesture on a specific page can be set to correspond to the selection of a specific icon. Thus, the slide gesture in the predetermined direction is a left slide gesture. Of course, an up slide gesture and / or a down slide gesture, or other types of non-click gestures on a specific page, can also be set to correspond to the selection of a specific icon. In the following specification and examples in the drawings, for the purpose of discussion, a right slide gesture is set as an exemplary interaction posture for the selection of a specific icon, but it should be understood that embodiments of the present invention also apply to other types of interaction postures.

[0043] In some embodiments, considering that there are more interaction postures that a user may trigger in the process of use, the types of non-click postures that are more convenient for user operation are limited, so when a specific type of non-click posture is detected on a specific page, it is determined that the non-click posture corresponds to the selection of a predetermined icon. Considering the hierarchical relationship of the page navigation structure, such a page may be located by a specific navigation tab (called a "target navigation tab") in each hierarchy of the page navigation structure.

[0044] In some embodiments, a first target navigation tab for positioning a first page in the first hierarchy may be used to position multiple navigation tabs in the second hierarchy, i.e., the second hierarchy includes multiple navigation tabs, and these navigation tabs may be arranged in parallel in a single row, for example, presented side by side in the navigation tab bar of the first page. A second target navigation tab for positioning a first page in the second hierarchy may include the leftmost or rightmost navigation tab in the multiple navigation tab bar. In some embodiments, the leftmost and rightmost navigation tabs may simultaneously be set as navigation tabs for positioning the first page in the second hierarchy. In other words, there may be two navigation tabs in the second hierarchy for positioning different pages, and a predetermined type of non-click posture on these pages both corresponds to the selection of a predetermined icon.

[0045] In some examples, the first target navigation tab for positioning the first page in the first hierarchy may include navigation tabs for positioning a set of pages corresponding to the top page. For example, in the example of FIG. 3A , navigation tab 322-1 "Top Page" may be set as the target navigation tab in the first hierarchy, positioning multiple navigation tabs in the second hierarchy corresponding to the top page, i.e., positioning multiple navigation tabs 332 presented in a parallel arrangement in navigation tab bar 330. In some examples, in pages positioned in rightmost navigation tab 332-1 "Recommended" and / or leftmost navigation tab 332-3, a predetermined type of non-click gesture corresponds to selection of message icon 310.

[0046] In some embodiments, if it is determined in box 240 that the non-click posture does not correspond to the selection of a predetermined icon, the terminal device 110 can further determine whether the non-click posture corresponds to another predefined interaction and perform a corresponding operation. If the non-click posture does not correspond to any predefined interaction, no response can be made.

[0047] In the following description, the selection of a predetermined icon and the switching of the second page will be explained in conjunction with examples in the drawings.

[0048] 3B shows that a slide gesture 340 is detected on page 300. After the slide gesture 340 is detected, it is determined that the type of the slide gesture 340 is a right slide gesture, and that page 300 is a page positioned by navigation tab 322-1 "Top Page" in the first hierarchy and rightmost navigation tab 332-1 "Recommended" in the second hierarchy (sometimes referred to as a "Top Page Recommendation" page). Therefore, it can be determined that the slide gesture 340 corresponds to the selection of message icon 310. In response, application 120 switches from the current page 300 to message page 301 shown in FIG. 3C. That is, on the rightmost "Top Page Recommendation" page, it is possible to quickly switch to the message page via a right slide gesture.

[0049] The message page 301 provides a message interaction function. In the example of FIG. 3C , the message page 301 may include a message conversation area 350, in which message conversations with one or more users and / or other message notifications are presented. The message page 301 further provides a search box 352 that provides a search function. Note that the message page 301 further provides an exit icon 354, and selecting or clicking on the exit icon 354 can close the message page 301. It should be understood that FIG. 3C only shows an example layout of the message page. Any layout may be designed for the message page according to actual needs.

[0050] In some embodiments, alternatively or additionally, as shown in Fig. 3D, when a rightward sliding gesture 342 is detected on page 302 (sometimes referred to as the "Top Page Same City" page) located by leftmost navigation tab 332-3 "Same City" among multiple navigation tabs in a second layer located by first layer navigation tab 322-1 "Top Page," it may be determined that the sliding gesture 342 corresponds to selection of message icon 310. In response, the current page 302 is switched to message page 301 shown in Fig. 3C.

[0051] In some embodiments, when a predetermined type of non-click gesture is detected in a specific region of a specific page, the non-click gesture can be determined to correspond to the selection of a specific icon. For example, if a rightward sliding gesture is used to indicate the selection of a specific icon, when a rightward sliding gesture is detected in the left region of the first page, for example, in the left half region or the left one-third region, the sliding gesture can be determined to correspond to the selection of the specific icon. Of course, a sliding gesture in a specific direction detected in any other region or the entire page can be determined to correspond to the selection of the specific icon.

[0052] In some embodiments, in addition to using a non-click gesture, a click gesture on a given icon can also be used to enter a corresponding second page. As shown in Figure 3E, when a click gesture on a message icon 310 in the upper left corner of page 300 is detected, application 120 can switch from current page 300 to message page 301 shown in Figure 3C. In addition to page 300, on any other page where message icon 310 is presented, a click gesture on message icon 310 can be used to enter the corresponding message page.

[0053] In some embodiments, when a predetermined type of non-click gesture (e.g., a right sliding gesture) is detected on a particular page among the plurality of pages positioned by a first target navigation tab in the first hierarchical level, but the page is not a page positioned by the leftmost or rightmost navigation tab in the second hierarchical level, the non-click gesture may correspond to switching between pages corresponding to the plurality of navigation tabs in the second hierarchical level. For example, when a right sliding gesture is detected on a page corresponding to navigation tab 322-1 "Home Page" and navigation tab 332-2 "Follow," the page may be switched to a page corresponding to navigation tab 332-3 "Same City."

[0054] In some situations, some interactive functions may be provided after a user logs in to application 120. Thus, in some embodiments, if a predetermined icon is a non-login icon, presentation of the predetermined icon and a method for page switching in a non-click position on a specific page may be provided when the user is logged in. Specifically, terminal device 110 may determine whether the user is logged in to application 120, and if it is determined that the user is logged in to application 120, presents a predetermined icon (i.e., a non-login icon) at a predetermined position on the first page. In some embodiments, the non-login icon may be used to access a page other than the login page.

[0055] In some implementations, if it is determined that the user is not logged in to application 120, a login icon can be presented in a similar location on the first page. As shown in Figure 4A, page 300 presents a login icon 410 in the upper left corner rather than the message icon 310 shown in the example of Figure 3A. Selection of the login icon can enter the user's login page.

[0056] In some embodiments, a selection for the login icon can be provided in a manner similar to the interaction posture of the non-login icon. Specifically, a specific type of non-click posture on a specific page can be used to indicate a selection for the login icon and support entering the login page. In this way, when the user is not logged in to the application, when the terminal device 110 detects a non-click posture on the first page, it can determine whether the non-click posture corresponds to selection of the login icon based on the type of non-click posture and the position corresponding to the first page in the page navigation structure. When the user is not logged in to the application, the same type of non-click posture on the same page can be used to indicate selection of the login icon. When it is determined that the non-click posture corresponds to selection of the login icon, the terminal device 110 can switch from the current first page to the login page.

[0057] As shown in Fig. 4A, when a rightward slide gesture 420 is detected on page 300 positioned by first-level navigation tab 322-1 "Top Page" and second-level rightmost navigation tab 332-1 "Recommended," application 120 can switch from page 300 to login page 401 shown in Fig. 4B. A user can enter login information such as a username and password on login page 401 to log in to application 120.

[0058] In another example shown in FIG. 4C, when a right slide gesture 422 is detected on page 300 positioned by first-level navigation tab 322-1 "Home Page" and second-level left-most navigation tab 332-3 "Recommended," application 120 may switch from page 300 to login page 401 shown in FIG. 4B.

[0059] In some embodiments, in addition to the non-click behavior, the user can also click the login icon to enter the login page. As shown in FIG. 4D, when a user click behavior on the login icon 410 on page 300 is detected, application 120 may switch from page 300 to login page 401 shown in FIG. 4B.

[0060] In some embodiments, after user login is completed on the login page, the first page can continue to be presented and a predetermined non-login icon can be presented at a predetermined position within the first page, thereby making it convenient for the user to access the corresponding second page.

[0061] In some implementations, when switching from page 1 to page 2, the presentation of the content of page 2 can be achieved using a sliding content container, which is used to house the content to be displayed.

[0062] In a hierarchical page navigation structure, when a page is positioned by navigation tabs in two levels, content containers corresponding to each level can be placed. The content container corresponding to the first level (called the "outer-level content container") can slide between the pages that are slidably switched in the first level. When multiple pages are positioned by a specific navigation tab in the first level, the content container corresponding to the second level (called the "inner-level content container") can slide within the multiple pages corresponding to the navigation tab.

[0063] In some implementations, a right slide gesture on a first page can support entering a second page, and a different left slide gesture on the first page (e.g., a "Top Page Recommendations" page) can support entering another page, such as a personal page. In this way, the content container on the outer layer can slide between the second page, the first page, and the personal page, thereby accommodating the content of different pages.

[0064] 5 shows a flowchart of a process 500 for presenting a page according to some embodiments of the present invention. The process 500 may be implemented in the terminal device 110.

[0065] In box 510, the terminal device 110 determines whether a predetermined type of non-click posture is detected on the first page located by the first target navigation tab and the second target navigation tab. For example, the terminal device 110 determines whether a right sliding gesture is detected on the “Top Page Recommendations” page 300.

[0066] 6A shows a schematic diagram of a structure for presenting a page in application 120 using an inner layer content container and an outer layer content container. In the example of FIG. 6A, the outer layer content container is slid to a page positioned by the navigation tab "Top Page" in the first layer, and the inner layer content container is slid to page 611 positioned by the navigation tab "Recommended" in the second layer. Application 120 presents the content presented by these two content containers, i.e., presents the content of page 611.

[0067] If a predetermined type of non-click posture is not detected on the first page, the terminal device 110 can periodically or continuously perform detection for a particular page and non-click posture.

[0068] In some embodiments, a particular version or mode of the application 120 supports entering a second page via a particular type of non-click gesture on a particular page, and in other versions or modes, the same type of non-click gesture corresponds to switching between multiple pages located on each of multiple navigation tabs arranged side by side in a second hierarchy. In such a case, when a predetermined type of non-click gesture is detected on the first page, in box 520, the terminal device 110 determines whether the application 120 supports entering a second page via a non-click gesture.

[0069] If entry to the second page is supported in a non-click position, the terminal device 110 prevents the inner-layer content container from sliding to prevent the inner-layer content container from moving between navigation tabs in the second hierarchy in box 530. Then, in box 540, the terminal device 110 accommodates the content of the second page by sliding the outer-layer content container from the first page to the second page. In box 550, the terminal device 110 presents the content accommodated in the outer-layer content container.

[0070] Figure 6B shows an example of the sliding process of the outer layer content container. In this example, assume that a predetermined type of non-click posture corresponding to the selection of a message icon is detected on page 611. In response, the outer layer content container slides leftward from page 611 to reach the center of message page 620 corresponding to the message icon. Figure 6C shows an example after the outer layer content container has slid and reached message page 620. In this case, the content of message page 620 contained in the outer layer content container can be presented.

[0071] In some embodiments, when a different type of non-click posture, such as a slide left gesture, is detected on a particular first page, the outer layer content container slides rightward to reach a page in another direction, such as personal page 630 in the first tier, and accommodates the content of that page. The first page that supports entry to personal page 630 via a slide left gesture may include the rightmost navigation tab in the second tier, for example, the navigation tab "Recommended," which is arranged to the rightmost of the multiple second-tier navigation tabs in FIG. 6A.

[0072] In some embodiments, if it is determined in box 520 that entry to the second page corresponding to a particular icon in a non-click position is not supported, then in box 560 the terminal device 110 slides the inner layer content container from the first page to the page positioned by the next navigation tab.

[0073] For example, FIG. 6D shows that message page 620 does not exist in the outer-layer content container sliding architecture if entry to the message page via a non-click pose is not supported. The current first page is page 611, which is located in the first-level navigation tab "Home" and the second-level navigation tab "Recommended." If a specific type of non-click pose (e.g., a rightward slide gesture) is detected, the inner-layer content container slides leftward to reach page 612, which is located by the navigation tab "Follow," as shown in FIG. 6E. In response, the content of page 612 can be presented. If a further specific type of non-click pose (e.g., a rightward slide gesture) is detected in page 612, the inner-layer content container continues to slide leftward to reach page 613, which is located by the navigation tab "Same City," as shown in FIG. 6F.

[0074] In some message interaction scenarios, a new / unread message alert can be provided on the current page. In some embodiments, a message icon can be presented on the first page, and when an incoming message is detected, a message alert can be presented on the first page. The message alert can take a variety of forms. In some embodiments, the form of the message alert can be related to the source of the message, particularly the source of the most recent message.

[0075] In particular, it may be determined whether the message is a friend message from a logged-in user of application 120. If the message is determined to be a friend message from a logged-in user of application 120, the message icon may be transformed into a first message alert flag, and if the message is a non-friend message, a second message alert flag may be presented in association with the message icon. The second message alert flag may be different from the first message alert flag, thereby enabling friend messages to be distinguished from non-friend messages.

[0076] The first message alert flag may be associated with the user who sent the friend message. For example, it may be transformed into an avatar icon of the user who sent the friend message, or it may be associated with another identifier. FIG. 7A illustrates such a message alert. As shown in FIG. 7A, because there is an unread message, the message icon 310 originally displayed in the upper left corner of page 300 is transformed into a first message alert flag 712, which corresponds to the friend avatar icon who sent the friend message. In this way, the user can quickly become aware of a new message from a friend and can know which specific friend the message is from without having to enter the message details page. This facilitates the user's message inquiry and improves the interactive experience.

[0077] In some embodiments, if the message is a non-friend message, a second message alert flag may be superimposed on the message icon. The second message alert flag may include a small red dot or a numeric red dot (i.e., a number plus a small red dot) indicating the number of messages to alert. For example, FIG. 7B shows a message alert flag of a small red dot 714 superimposed on a message icon 310 of a page 300, and FIG. 7C shows a message alert flag of a numeric red dot 716 superimposed on a message icon 310 of a page 300, which may indicate the number of unread messages.

[0078] In some embodiments, if a user has already viewed a message, the message alert flag is not presented. In some embodiments, the message alert can be downgraded to reduce interference to the user when the user is viewing content or page interactions. For example, a first message alert flag associated with a friend has a significantly stronger message alert effect and causes relatively more interference to the user than a regular small red dot and a number red dot. A number red dot causes more interference to the user than a regular small red dot. In some embodiments, if it is determined that the currently presented message alert flag satisfies the alert downgrade policy, the currently presented message alert flag can be downgraded to another message alert flag that causes less interference. For example, the transformed first message alert flag can be downgraded to a number red dot or a small red dot, or a number red dot can be downgraded to a small red dot.

[0079] In some embodiments, the alert downgrade policy may be related to the presentation time of the message alert flag, related to the number of unread messages, or related to the interaction state of the user, although embodiments of the present invention are not limited in this respect.

[0080] In some embodiments, after entering a second page corresponding to a predetermined icon, one or more interaction forms are further provided to allow the user to exit from the second page. When an interaction posture on the second page is detected to correspond to the exit of the second page (e.g., corresponding to a selection of an exit icon in the second page), the second page can be switched to the first page, i.e., the page preceding the second page can be entered.

[0081] In some embodiments, the interaction posture corresponding to exiting the second page may include a click posture on an exit icon within the second page. In some embodiments, alternatively or additionally, the interaction posture corresponding to exiting the second page may include another predetermined type of non-click posture, such as a slide gesture in a predetermined direction. In some embodiments, the predetermined type of non-click posture for exiting from the second page may be different from the predetermined type of non-click posture for entering the second page. In some embodiments, when the non-click posture includes a slide gesture, the direction of the slide gesture for exiting from the second page may be different from the direction of the slide gesture for entering the second page. For example, if the slide gesture for entering the second page is a right slide gesture, the slide gesture for exiting from the second page may be a left slide gesture or another slide gesture, such as an upward slide gesture or a downward slide gesture. Setting different types of non-click postures can make user operation more convenient and help users quickly become familiar with how to enter and exit the second page, thereby further improving the user's usage experience.

[0082] In some embodiments, according to actual needs, the type of non-click gesture for exiting from the second page may be set to be the same as the non-click gesture for entering the second page, for example, both may be a right slide gesture.

[0083] As some examples, when a user clicks on the exit icon 354 on the message page 301 as shown in Figure 8A, or when a left slide gesture 822 is detected on the message page 301 as shown in Figure 8B, the message page 301 can be switched to the first page 300 as shown in Figure 8C. In a content container implementation, for example, in the example of Figure 6C, the outer layer content container is slid from the message page 620 to the previous page 611. In some embodiments, when a predetermined type of non-click posture is detected in a predetermined region of the second page, it can be determined that the non-click posture corresponds to the end of the second page. For example, if a left slide gesture is used to end the second page, when a left slide gesture is detected in the right region of the first page, for example, the right half region or the right one-third region, it can be determined that the slide gesture corresponds to the end of the second page. Of course, it can also be set that when a predetermined type of non-click posture is detected in any other region or in the entire second page, it can be determined that the non-click posture corresponds to the end of the second page.

[0084] To help the user quickly understand and grasp how to end the second page, in some embodiments, when it is determined that the second page has been initially presented in application 120, a guide mask layer may be superimposed on the second page, and end guide information may be presented in the guide mask layer, where the end guide information indicates an interaction posture for ending from the second page. In some examples, the end guide information may include an end guide animation, which can better demonstrate the end method. In other examples, additionally or alternatively, the end guide information may further include text, images, and / or any other form of guide.

[0085] 8D, a guide mask layer 840 including exit guide information 842 is superimposed on the message page 301 to indicate that sliding left will allow the user to exit the message page. In some examples, the exit guide information 842 may also indicate that clicking an exit icon in the upper right corner will allow the user to exit the message page.

[0086] In some embodiments, when a message is received for application 120, a message reminder pop-up window may also be presented within application 120 or outside application 120 (e.g., application 120 is not currently launched).

[0087] In some embodiments, a message alert pop-up window is presented on the first page, and when a user selection on the message alert pop-up window is detected, the first page can be directly switched to a message conversation page corresponding to the message. Figure 9A shows a message alert pop-up window 910 presented on the first page 300 of application 120. When the user clicks, for example, on the attitude selection message pop-up window, the page is directly switched to the message conversation page 901 shown in Figure 9B, and the user can conveniently interact in the message conversation page 901.

[0088] In some embodiments, when a dialogue posture indicating an end of a message conversation page is detected, e.g., when a user's selection of back icon 920 is detected in message conversation page 901 of Figure 9B, a switch can be made from the message conversation page to a message page, e.g., from message conversation page 901 to message page 301 shown in Figure 9C. In some embodiments, in such a case, continuing to exit from the message page can result in a switch to the first page where the previous message reminder pop-up window was presented.

[0089] In some embodiments, a message alert pop-up window may be presented on a page other than the application, and a message conversation page corresponding to the message may be presented even if a selection on the message alert pop-up window is detected. For example, as shown in FIG. 9D , if a message for application 120 is received but the page for application 120 is not currently presented, a message alert pop-up window 912 may be presented on a page 903 other than application 120 of terminal device 110. When a selection on message alert pop-up window 912 is detected, the page may be switched to message conversation page 901 shown in FIG. 9B . Furthermore, if a dialogue attitude indicating an exit from the message conversation page is continuously detected on the message conversation page, a switch from the message conversation page to a message page may be made. In some embodiments, in such a case, continuing to exit from the message page may switch to a default page of application 120, such as a “Top Page Recommendations” page. Of course, the scope of the present invention is not limited in this respect.
