A protective jig for a wooden shaft member as described in claim 1, wherein the mounting member has two extension portions extending from the base portion and sandwiching the wooden shaft member in a direction intersecting both the axial direction of the wooden shaft member and the direction in which the hole extends.

4. The protective jig for a wooden shaft member according to claim 3, wherein the mounting member has a reinforcing portion connecting the base portion and the extension portion.

5. 2. The protective jig for a wooden shaft member according to claim 1, wherein the mounting member is made of metal.

6. A method for protecting a wooden shaft member, wherein the wooden shaft member is stored with the protective jig for the wooden shaft member according to any one of claims 1 to 5 attached thereto.
