[0002] Nowadays, it is not uncommon to change hair color using hair coloring agents such as oxidative hair dyes and bleaches, or to change hairstyles using perm agents such as permanent wave agents and hair straighteners at home using commercially available products rather than going to a beauty salon.

[0003] Commercially available hair coloring or perming products for home use are designed to have a consistent effect regardless of hair type, so depending on the individual's hair type, the amount of active ingredients (alkaline or oxidizing agents) may be slightly excessive. [0006] However, the oily pretreatment agent described in Patent Document 1 spreads poorly when applied to hair, potentially failing to penetrate the entire length of the hair, while the aqueous pretreatment agent described in Patent Document 2 raises concerns about dripping during application. In everyday life, hair is often damaged by UV rays and combing with a brush, and using a hair coloring agent or perm agent can further exacerbate the damage. Therefore, it was necessary to restore hair to a healthy condition before using a hair coloring agent or perm agent. Furthermore, the oily pretreatment agent forms a film on the hair, inhibiting the effects of the hair coloring agent or perm agent, resulting in issues such as dissatisfaction with the finished hair condition. Furthermore, its stability over time under low-temperature and high-temperature conditions was unclear, leaving room for improvement. [Means for solving the problem]

[0007] As a result of intensive research into solving the above problems, the present inventors have found that the above problems can be solved by providing a hair cosmetic composition to be used before the use of a hair coloring agent or a perm agent, the hair cosmetic composition comprising (A) a nonionic thickener, (B) a cationic thickener, (C) a polyhydric alcohol, (D) ethanol, and (E) an organic acid, and have thus completed the present invention. [0010] The hair cosmetic composition according to the present invention contains (A) a nonionic thickener from the viewpoint of ease of application.

[0011] The component (A) used in the present invention is not particularly limited, and examples thereof include hydroxyethyl cellulose, hydroxypropyl cellulose, hydroxypropylmethyl cellulose, polyvinyl alcohol, polyvinylpyrrolidone, dextrin, etc., and one or more selected from these may be contained. Among these, from the viewpoint of improving usability during application, hydroxyethyl cellulose and hydroxypropyl cellulose are preferred, and hydroxyethyl cellulose is more preferred.

[0012] The content of the component (A) used in the present invention is not particularly limited, but is preferably 0.2 to 1.5%, more preferably 0.5 to 1.2%. If the content of the nonionic thickener (A) is less than 0.2% or more than 1.5%, the usability during application may be impaired.

[0014] The component (B) used in the present invention is not particularly limited, and examples thereof include O-[2-hydroxy-3-(trimethylammonio)propyl]hydroxyethylcellulose chloride, O-[2-hydroxy-3-(trimethylammonio)propyl]guar gum chloride, locust bean hydroxypropyltrimonium chloride, polydimethyldimethylenepyrrolidinium chloride, dimethyldiallylammonium chloride-acrylamide copolymer, and dimethyldiallylammonium chloride-acrylic acid copolymer, and one or more selected from these may be contained. Among these, from the viewpoint of conditioning hair before and after the use of hair coloring agents or perms, preferred are O-[2-hydroxy-3-(trimethylammonio)propyl]hydroxyethylcellulose chloride and O-[2-hydroxy-3-(trimethylammonio)propyl]guar gum chloride, and more preferably O-[2-hydroxy-3-(trimethylammonio)propyl]hydroxyethylcellulose chloride.

Among these, from the viewpoint of conditioning the hair before and after the use of a hair coloring agent or a perm agent, preferred are glycerin and ethylene glycol, and more preferred are glycerin.

If the total amount of the components (B) and (C) is more than 7.6%, the hair condition may not be maintained before and after use of a hair coloring agent or perm, and the effectiveness of the hair coloring agent or perm may be impaired.

Claims

1. A hair cosmetic composition to be used before using a hair coloring agent or a perm agent, (A) one or more selected from hydroxyethyl cellulose and hydroxypropyl cellulose, (B) one or more selected from O-[2-hydroxy-3-(trimethylammonio)propyl]hydroxyethylcellulose chloride and O-[2-hydroxy-3-(trimethylammonio)propyl]guar gum chloride; (C) one or more selected from glycerin and ethylene glycol, (D) ethanol, (E) one or more selected from lactic acid and malic acid a content of the component (A) of 0.2 to 1.5% by mass, a total content of the components (B) and (C) of 2.1 to 7.6% by mass, a mass ratio of the contents (B) / (C) of 0.05 to 0.27, a content of the component (D) of 15 to 45% by mass, and a content of the component (E) of 0.01 to 0.1% by mass.

2. A method of applying the hair cosmetic composition described in claim 1 to the dry scalp and entire hair, and then using a hair colorant or perm agent immediately thereafter without rinsing off the hair cosmetic composition.
