It is proved that demethylfolin hydrochloride can significantly improve the pathological state of hepatic fibrosis: the content of hydroxyproline in liver type I collagen molecules is reduced, the liver tissue hardness is reduced, and the area of a fibrosis region is reduced. Toxicity experiments show that the compound has no obvious toxic or side effect on the liver in an effective dose and is good in safety. Therefore, the invention provides a new drug choice and theoretical basis for the treatment of hepatic fibrosis.
