This application specifically discloses a method for preparing
carboxymethyl chitosan with a wide molecular
weight distribution and its application in
hemostasis and repair, comprising the following steps: dispersing
chitosan in
anhydrous ethanol, adding glacial
acetic acid, stirring, adding
benzaldehyde, stirring, then adding
sodium hydroxide solution and stirring, separating the
solid and liquid, washing, and obtaining a wet material; adding the wet material to an
ethanol-water solution under cold water bath conditions, adding a strong alkali solution, adding
chloroacetic acid solution to react, adding
carboxymethyl chitosan to the
ethanol-water solution, then adding
hydrochloric acid to obtain a
powder; dividing the
powder into three equal parts, adding
hydrogen peroxide solution to
anhydrous ethanol, adding the first part of the
powder, stirring for 1-1.5 h, then adding the second part of the powder, continuing the reaction for 2-2.5 h, separating the
solid and liquid, mixing with the third part of the powder, adding pure water, adding
manganese dioxide, stirring, filtering, and
drying to obtain the final product. The
carboxymethyl chitosan of this application has a wide molecular
weight distribution and excellent hemostatic and repair properties.
