AI Technical Summary
Technical Problem
Conventional microwave reactors suffer from microwave absorption by cooling media, leading to reduced efficiency and uneven microwave distribution, which affects reaction temperature control.
Method used
A vertical microwave reaction apparatus with a polygonal housing design, fan antennas, and a heat exchanger to efficiently distribute microwaves and control temperature, minimizing absorption losses and promoting uniform microwave propagation.
Benefits of technology
The apparatus effectively adjusts reaction temperature and ensures efficient microwave absorption without energy loss, allowing for uniform treatment of objects within the housing.

Abstract
To appropriately adjust the reaction temperature of an object to be processed while causing the object to be processed to efficiently absorb microwaves introduced into a casing without causing loss.SOLUTION: A housing 2 of a microwave reaction device 1 is composed of a top surface body 3, a circumferential side surface body 4, and a bottom surface body 5. The circumferential side surface body 4 has a plurality of side bodies formed on a bottom surface body 5 in a polygonal shape in a plan view, and introduces microwaves into the housing 2 from a waveguide 7 connected to at least one side surface body 41 of the respective side surface bodies, and diffuses the microwaves by a fan antenna 8 provided on the side surface body 44 at a position not facing the side surface body 41. A heat exchanger 12 is installed below the bottom surface body 5, and, through the bottom surface body 5, heat is radiated into the casing 2 or lowered to control internal temperature of the casing 2.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
