AI Technical Summary

Technical Problem

In bidirectional search using Rapidly-exploring Random Trees, the generation of trees with higher constraints is hindered while those with lower constraints progress unnecessarily, leading to excessive calculations.

Method used

A trajectory search device that preferentially extends the tree with fewer nodes or lower successful node generation when the difference exceeds a preset value, using a Rapidly-exploring Random Tree to optimize the search process.

Benefits of technology

This approach reduces unnecessary calculations and speeds up the trajectory search by minimizing the generation of nodes in trees with fewer constraints.

Abstract

To realize a trajectory search device that can contribute to speeding up a trajectory search.SOLUTION: A trajectory search device (1) according to an embodiment of the present disclosure comprises: a spatial information acquisition unit (2) that acquires information indicating a state space; a state information acquisition unit (3) that acquires information indicating a start point and a goal point of a robot in the state space; and a trajectory search unit (4) that searches for a trajectory of the robot from both the start point and the goal point using a Rapidly-exploring Random Tree based on the information indicating the state space and information indicating the start point and the goal point of the robot in the state space. The trajectory search unit (4) preferentially grows a tree with fewer nodes in the case where a difference between the number of nodes in the tree rooted at the start point and the number of nodes in the tree rooted at the goal point is greater than a preset value.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 13
