Abstract
Description
[Technical Field]
[0001] The present invention relates to a furniture element, in particular a support or shelf according to the preamble of claim 1, and to furniture comprising such a furniture element. [Background technology]
[0002] Such furniture elements are usually used as individual pieces of furniture, for example in the form of shelves or supports, or as partial pieces of furniture consisting of several furniture elements, which are placed on the floor of a room, on a table, etc., and can be rotated around a vertical axis and at the same time moved in a given direction.
[0003] This makes it easy to move furniture elements out of the corners of a room or from pieces with two side walls diagonally aligned with each other.
[0004] To enable such a movement, the furniture element known, for example from DE 10 2019 109 866 A1, has at least one translation-rotation fitting in addition to the two side walls that close the interior or storage space in the starting position. Such furniture elements have proven themselves in practice. Summary of the Invention [Problem to be solved by the invention]
[0005] The object of the present invention is to further develop a furniture element, the end positions of which, i.e. the closed and open positions, are reached in a simple manner. [Means for solving the problem]
[0006] This object is solved by a furniture element having the features of claim 1 as well as by a piece of furniture having the features of claim 18.
[0007] The furniture element according to the invention has a framework with at least one support surface and at least one translation-rotation fitting, which allows translation-rotation movement of the framework relative to the carrier plate of the translation-rotation fitting from a start position to an open position and in the opposite direction.
[0008] The framework is movable relative to the carrier plate from a starting position to an intermediate position, further to an open position, and vice versa, where in the intermediate position the framework rotates relative to the carrier plate along a rotational direction and is displaced in a predetermined direction.
[0009] The carrier plate is provided with a guide channel for determining a direction, and a guide carriage is displaceably accommodated in the guide channel.
[0010] Furthermore, the furniture element has at least one self-retracting device, which is at least partially coupled to the guide carriage and arranged directly or indirectly on a side (top or bottom) of the carrier plate.
[0011] By coupling the guide carriage to such a self-retracting device, the respective end positions of the start position and the open position can be reached in a simple manner.
[0012] The presence of such translation-rotation fittings in the upper and lower regions can be advantageous, particularly for taller furniture elements, in which case at least one of the translation-rotation fittings is equipped with a self-retracting device.
[0013] Variations of advantageous embodiments of the invention are the subject matter of the dependent claims.
[0014] In an advantageous embodiment variant, the self-retracting device is attached directly to the side of the carrier plate facing away from the framework.
[0015] According to an advantageous further development, a coupling element with at least one first active body for activating the self-retraction device is arranged on the guide carriage.
[0016] The connecting element is preferably configured as a bracket integrally formed on or attached to the guide carriage, with the at least one first active body projecting from a web of the connecting element that projects laterally beyond the guide carriage.
[0017] According to a preferred embodiment variant, a self-retracting device connected to the guide carriage is arranged on the side of the carrier plate facing away from the framework.
[0018] This allows for uniform power transmission from the self-retracting device to the guide carriage.
[0019] According to an alternative embodiment variant, the guide carriage is connected to a running rail of at least one drawer guide, the guide rail of the drawer guide being fastened to a side of the carrier plate facing away from the framework, and the at least one self-retracting device is arranged on the guide rail of the drawer guide.
[0020] In a preferred further development of this embodiment variant, the at least one drawer guide is connected via a connecting element which is integrally formed on the guide carriage or attached to the guide carriage.
[0021] According to a further embodiment variant, the furniture element is further characterized by at least one opening mechanism connected to the guide carriage and arranged on the side of the carrier plate facing away from the framework for opening the framework.
[0022] The opening mechanism is preferably configured as an ejector or push-to-open mechanism, in particular allowing the furniture element to be configured without an actuation handle, and allowing the opening movement of the furniture element to be initiated by pushing against the intended opening direction.
[0023] Ejector mechanisms with mechanical force storage devices and clamping devices that are supplied with energy from electrical energy storage devices can also be used. Corresponding ejector mechanisms are described, for example, in EP 3532689. Purely electrical ejector mechanisms, such as those according to DE 102009025785 or EP 2153003, can also be used.
[0024] It is also conceivable to use an opening mechanism that can be actuated in a different way, and that can also be used to initiate the movement of the furniture element from the open position back to the starting position.
[0025] According to a variant of the preferred embodiment, a coupling element with at least a second active mass, separate from the guide carriage, is used to actuate the opening mechanism.
[0026] In a variation of the alternative embodiment, at least one second activity for activating the opening mechanism is arranged on the connecting element together with at least one first activity for activating the self-retracting device.
[0027] This allows both the self-retracting device and the opening mechanism to be actuated by a single connecting element, reducing assembly effort.
[0028] Preferably, the at least one second active body projects from a web of the connecting element that projects laterally beyond the guide carriage.
[0029] Furthermore, according to a variant of the preferred embodiment, the opening mechanism coupled to the guide carriage is arranged on the side of the carrier plate facing away from the framework.
[0030] The self-retracting device is preferably arranged between the guide channel and the opening mechanism, viewed perpendicularly to the longitudinal extension of the guide channel.
[0031] According to a further preferred embodiment variant, the opening mechanism is arranged on at least one drawer guide. According to a further alternative embodiment, at least one opening mechanism for opening the framework is arranged at a distance from the guide channel in or on the carrier plate.
[0032] In a variation of this embodiment, there is no connection of at least one opening mechanism to the guide carriage. For actuation, a surface of the framework or bearing plate of the translation-rotation fitting, or an active body located on the framework or bearing plate, is brought into engagement with the opening mechanism.
[0033] In one embodiment, the opening mechanism is configured as a mechanical opening mechanism having a plunger mounted by a spring within a housing, or in an alternative embodiment, as an electrically driven opening mechanism having a plunger mounted within a housing and drivable by an electric motor.
[0034] According to a further embodiment variant, the at least one self-retracting device comprises a toggle lever, which comprises a pendulum lever pivotally mounted on the guide carriage and a power lever pivotally connected to the pendulum lever and pivotally mounted on the carrier plate, and the at least one energy storage device held on the carrier plate is arranged on the power lever or the pendulum lever.
[0035] In a variant of the preferred embodiment, the self-retracting device is provided with a damper so that the furniture element is braked before it reaches the respective end positions, i.e. the start position and the open position. The furniture according to the invention is characterized by a furniture element as described above. [Brief explanation of the drawings]

[0037] In the following description of the figures, the terms top, bottom, left, right, front, rear etc. refer only to exemplary representations and positions of selected furniture elements in the respective figures, translation-rotation fittings, guide carriages, self-retracting devices, carrier plates etc. These terms are not to be understood in a limiting manner, i.e. different operating positions or mirror symmetrical configurations etc. may alter these references.
[0038] In Figures 1 to 3, the number 1 generally designates a variant of a furniture element according to the invention, which can be configured as an independent furniture element 1 or as part of a piece of furniture with a framework having other furniture elements, which furniture element 1 can be moved in a translational-rotational movement from a starting position shown in Figure 1, in which an internal space 23, shown in Figures 2 and 3, is hidden by side walls 21, 22, to an open position shown in Figure 3, in which the internal space 23 is accessible for the insertion or removal of objects from the internal space 23.
[0039] The furniture element 1 comprises a framework 2 having side walls 21, 22 and an interior space 23 defined by a frame 25. Furthermore, the furniture element 1 comprises at least one support surface 24, which in the illustrated exemplary embodiment forms the base of the interior space 23.
[0040] Below the base, the framework 2 rests on legs 11. These legs 11 are attached to the side of the carrier plate 32 of the translation-rotation fitting 3 that is positioned below the support surface 24 and faces away from the support surface 24.
[0041] An exemplary embodiment of such a translation-rotation fitting 3 is shown in exploded view in FIG.
[0042] The translation-rotation fitting 3 serves to enable translation-rotation movement of the framework 2 relative to the carrier plate 32 of the translation-rotation fitting 3 from the start position shown in FIG. 1, through the intermediate position shown in FIG. 2, to the open position shown in FIG. 3 and vice versa.
[0043] To enable the framework 2 of the furniture element 1 to be rotated out of space or from a corner of the furniture, the translation-rotation fitting 3 is configured such that the framework 2 is rotated in a rotational direction R1 relative to the carrier plate 32 and displaced in a predetermined direction in the intermediate position shown in FIG. 2.
[0044] To enable guided displacement, the carrier plate 32 is provided with a guide channel 323, as shown for example in Figures 4 and 6 to 13. In this guide channel 323, a guide carriage 4 fixed to the bearing plate 31 of the translation-rotation fitting 3 is accommodated in a receptacle 311 provided for this purpose so as to be displaceable in a predetermined direction A.
[0045] The guide carriage 4 preferably has a base body 41 with a plurality of wheels 42 attached to the sides of the base body 41 .
[0046] The guide pin 43 protrudes centrally from the base body 41 , and the free end of the guide pin 43 is rotatably fixed in the receiving portion 311 of the bearing plate 31 of the translation-rotation fitting 3 .
[0047] In this case, the bearing plate 31 is mounted on the framework 2 and, in the exemplary embodiment shown, on the underside of the support surface 24 of the framework 2 of the furniture element 1 .
[0048] The guided rotational movement of the bearing plate 31 relative to the carrier plate 32 of the translation-rotation fitting 3 is made possible by running grooves 12 in which the rolling elements 10 mounted in rolling element cages 33 are guided. A further running groove (not shown) is provided on the side of the bearing plate 31 facing the carrier plate 32.
[0049] Further, as shown in Figures 4 to 13, at least one self-retracting device 5 connected to the guide carriage 4 and arranged on the side 322 of the carrier plate 32 facing away from the framework 2 is provided on the side of the carrier plate 32 facing away from the bearing plate 31.
[0050] In the first exemplary embodiment shown in Figures 4 to 8, one such self-retracting device 5 is mounted directly on the side of the carrier plate 32 facing away from the bearing plate 31, on either side of the guide channel 323.
[0051] A coupling element 7 provided with two first active bodies 71 on the guide carriage 4 is used to drive two self-retracting devices 5 . A detailed view of the connecting element 7 is shown in Figure 5. The connecting element 7 is configured here as a bracket which can be attached to the guide carriage 4.
[0052] Two first active bodies 71 project from a web 74 of the connecting element 7 , which web 74 projects laterally beyond the guide carriage 4 . It is also conceivable to arrange only one such self-retracting device 5 on the carrier plate 32 .
[0053] The self-retracting device 5 itself serves to move the framework 2 of the furniture element 1 into end positions during movement, in this case one into the closed start position shown in FIG. 1 and the other into the open position shown in FIG. 3.
[0054] The design and function of such a self-retracting device 5 is known from the prior art, for example from DE 10 2011 053 840 A1, so that a more detailed description of the design and function of the self-retracting device 5 can be omitted here. The self-retracting device 5 can also have a damping element to ensure a gradual retraction into the end.
[0055] By means of the connecting element 7 with the first active body 71, the self-retracting device 5 is driven just before reaching the starting or open position, moving the guide carriage 4 connected via the first active body 71 of the connecting element 7, and with it the bearing plate 31 and therefore the framework 2 of the furniture element 1, into the starting or open position.
[0056] As shown in Figures 4 and 6 to 8, on the side of each self-retracting device 5 facing away from the guide channel 323, an opening mechanism 6 is further arranged on the side 322 of the carrier plate 32 facing away from the main body 2.
[0057] The opening mechanism 6 is also connected to the guide carriage 4 via connecting elements 7. For this purpose, as shown in FIG. 5 , the connecting elements 7 each have a second active body 72 in the region of a web 74, which second active body 72 protrudes from each web 74.
[0058] It is also conceivable to provide separate coupling elements on the guide carriage 4 with respective active bodies for actuating the opening mechanism 6 .
[0059] The opening mechanism 6 is preferably configured as a push-to-open mechanism, whereby the opening mechanism 6 can be activated by briefly pressing against the side wall 21 of the framework 2, causing the framework 2 to move from the start or open position in the direction of the pressing force. For this purpose, the framework 2 can be rotated from the starting position in the opening direction by a small amount, preferably by a few degrees, in particular by 1 to 2 degrees relative to the carrier plate. The same applies when driving the closing movement from the open position.
[0060] By doing so, the opening mechanism 6 pushes the guide carriage 4 connected to it along the guide channel 323, thereby initiating a translational-rotational movement of the bearing plate 31 and thus of the framework 2 of the furniture element 1 relative to the carrier plate 32.
[0061] The structure and function of such opening mechanisms are known, for example, from WO 2020 / 233911, EP 2272400 or EP 2654505, which are incorporated herein by reference. As shown in FIG. 5, the second active mass 72 is preferably formed as a tongue that curves vertically upward from the web 74 .
[0062] As further shown in FIG. 6, a carriage track 324 is preferably formed on the surface of the second side 322 of the carrier plate 32 for guiding the guide carriage 4 . The carriage track 324 , here formed as a recess, serves in particular to keep the vertical structure of the components below the carrier plate 32 as small as possible.
[0063] Figure 7 shows the furniture element 1 from below in the closed position shown in Figure 1. The opening mechanism 6 is activated by slightly pushing the side wall 21 in the area marked P towards the inside of the framework.
[0064] Figure 8 shows the furniture element 1 from below in the partially opened position shown in Figure 2. As can be seen, the guide carriage 4 is in this position disengaged from the opening mechanism 6 and the self-retracting device 5, and the framework 2 has rotated by approximately 45 degrees relative to the carrier plate 32 and can therefore be moved further in the opening direction R1 or closing direction R2 solely by the operator.
[0065] 9 to 11 show an alternative embodiment variant of the furniture element 1, in which the self-retracting devices 5 are not attached directly to the carrier plate 32 but to each drawer guide 9.
[0066] In the exemplary embodiment, two drawer guides 9 are provided, the guide rails 91 of which are attached to the sides 322 of the carrier plate 32 facing away from the framework 2 .
[0067] The running rail 92 of the drawer guide 9, which is displaceable relative to the guide rail 91, is connected to the guide carriage 4 and fixed, for example by screws or with a material bond. Here too, the connecting element 8 serves to connect the guide carriage 4 to the running rail 92 of the drawer guide 9 .
[0068] The connecting element 8 has a substantially U-shaped carriage connecting portion 81 from which web-like running rail connecting portions 82 extend on both sides and are fastened to the respective running rails 92 of the drawer guide 9 .
[0069] Furthermore, as shown in FIG. 9, the self-retracting device 5 is attached to a guide rail 91, and the self-retracting device 5 can be operated by moving the traveling rail 92 relative to the guide rail 91. Here, it is also conceivable that an opening mechanism 6 is further attached to the guide rails 91 in order to open the framework 2.
[0070] Also, combinations of the above configurations are conceivable, for example the drawer guide 9 is fitted with a self-retracting device 5, while the opening mechanism 6 is fitted directly to the carrier plate 32 and a corresponding active body is fitted to the guide carriage 4, so that when the guide carriage 4 is respectively in the appropriate position the self-retracting device 5 or the opening mechanism 6 is activated.
[0071] FIG. 10 shows the underside of the carrier plate 32 facing away from the framework 2, with the drawer guide 9 and guide carriage 4 mounted thereon, in the end positions shown in FIGS. 1 and 3, respectively. Figure 11 shows the carrier plate 32 with the drawer guide attached, with the running rail 92 pulled out, which corresponds to the state in which the running rail 92 is disconnected from the self-retracting device 5, as in Figure 8.
[0072] It is also conceivable that at least one self-retracting device 5 is provided with a damper for damping the closing movement of the framework 2 . Figure 12 shows a further exemplary embodiment of a furniture element according to the invention. The essential features correspond to the embodiment shown in Figure 4, so only the differences will be briefly described here.
[0073] In this exemplary embodiment, two opening mechanisms 6 are not used, but only one electrical or electromechanical opening mechanism 60 with a housing 61 and a movable plunger 62 .
[0074] 12, the guide carriage 4 has a further coupling element 75 with a third active body 76. Such an ejector mechanism for an opening mechanism 60 is described, for example, in EP 3532689, to which reference is made.
[0075] Similar to FIG. 7, FIG. 13 shows a view from below of the carrier plate 32 with the guide carriage 4, the self-retracting device 5 and the opening mechanism 60 arranged thereon in the starting closing position of the furniture element.
[0076] The opening mechanism 60 is arranged in the extension of the guide channel 323, between the two self-retracting devices 5. A further connecting element 75 is arranged above the connecting element 7 in the longitudinal direction of the guide carriage 4, and a third active body 76 rests against the plunger 62 of the opening mechanism.
[0077] When pressure is applied to the side wall 21 of the framework, the plunger 62 is forced towards the housing 61 and the opening mechanism 60 is activated. In this case, the plunger 62 is pulled with the aid of electrical energy.
[0078] In the exemplary embodiment, the lower translation-rotation fitting 3 is shown respectively. Alternatively, it can be arranged in mirror image on the upper side of the framework 2 of the furniture element 1. There may be a lower and an upper translation-rotation fitting 3, in which case both or only one of them may be equipped with at least one self-retracting device 5 according to the invention.
[0079] In a further embodiment variant shown in Figures 14 and 15, at least one opening mechanism 6 for opening the framework 2 is arranged away from the guide channel 323 in the side region of the carrier plate 32.
[0080] In a variant of this embodiment, there is no connection between the at least one opening mechanism 6 and the guide carriage 4. For actuation, in this variant of the embodiment, a surface of the framework 2 or the bearing plate 31 of the translation-rotation fitting 3 or an active body 13 arranged on the framework 2 or the bearing plate 31 is engaged with the opening mechanism 6.
[0081] 14 and 15, in a variant of this embodiment, the carrier plate 32 of the translation-rotation fitting 3 has a slider 327 that is displaceable under a spring load from a first position where it protrudes from the end face of the carrier plate 32 by a first dimension to a second position where it protrudes by a second dimension, the first dimension being greater than the second dimension, and in the extreme case, the second dimension assumes a value of zero.
[0082] This embodiment variant makes it possible to carry out the translation-rotation movements described above, such that in any rotation position of the furniture element 1 no part of the carrier plate 32 protrudes beyond the base surface of the furniture element 1, while the carrier plate 32 supports the furniture element over a wide area, and in particular over its entire surface in the area of the start position and the open position.
[0083] 14 and 15, two such opening mechanisms 6 preferably comprise, here in the form of a cartridge, a housing 61 fixed in a respective receptacle 326 of the carrier plate 32 and a spring-loaded plunger 62 linearly movable within the housing 61. This makes it possible to drive the opening mechanisms 6 in two opposite rotations.
[0084] The active mass 13 is attached to the side of the bearing plate 31 and extends across the side of the bearing plate 31 facing the carrier plate 32 within the range of movement of the plunger 62, where it serves as an abutment against which the plunger 62 is pressed to drive the opening mechanism 6. Fastening is preferably carried out by means of screws, but rivets or adhesive bonding are also conceivable, for example.
[0085] In an exemplary embodiment, two active bodies 13 are located at different positions on the bearing plate 31. Depending on the position of the opening mechanism 6, one active body 13 may be sufficient, or there may be two active bodies 13.
[0086] It is also conceivable that instead of the active mass 13 being attached to the bearing plate 31, the active mass 13 may be formed integrally with the bearing plate 31. It is also conceivable to fasten or form integrally with the active body 13 in the end region of one of the side walls 21, 22 of the framework 2 of the furniture element.
[0087] Also in this embodiment, when pressure is applied to the side wall 21 of the framework, the plunger 62 is forced further into the housing 61. This is done by moving the bearing plate 31 of the translation-rotation fitting 3, which is fixedly coupled to the framework 2, against the restoring force of the cartridge spring element.
[0088] By actuating the opening mechanism 6, the plunger 62 is pushed out of the housing 61 with the help of the spring force of the spring element of the cartridge, thus initiating a translational-rotational movement of the bearing plate 31 and therefore a movement of the framework 2 of the furniture element 1 relative to the carrier plate 32.
[0089] In a variant of the embodiment shown in Figures 16 to 19, the opening mechanism 6 is configured as an electrically driven opening mechanism and comprises a plunger 62 mounted in a housing 61 and drivable by an electric motor.
[0090] As shown in Figures 16 and 17, the housing 61 of the opening mechanism 6 is laterally mounted on the carrier plate 32. In a variant of the embodiment shown here, the active body 13 is inserted into a receiver provided in the bearing plate 31 specifically for this purpose, as shown in particular in Figure 17.
[0091] Figure 18 shows the translation-rotation fitting 3 placed on the framework 2 of the furniture element 1 before the opening mechanism 6 is activated, in which the plunger 62 is generally or completely housed within the housing 61. FIG. 19 shows a fixed furniture element 15 next to a furniture element 1 with a translation-rotation fitting 3, and the opening mechanism 6 is actuated.
[0092] As shown here, the plunger 62 protrudes significantly from the housing 61 of the opening mechanism 6 . The opening mechanism 6 is activated when the end face of the plunger 62 comes into contact with the active body 13 fixedly connected to the framework 2 via the bearing plate 31, causing the framework 2 of the furniture element 1 to move relative to the fixed furniture element 15.
[0093] In a variant of the embodiment shown in Figures 20-26, instead of the exemplary embodiment shown in Figures 4-8, the coupling element for activating the self-retracting device 5 is integrated into the guide carriage 4'.
[0094] 4, 9 and 12, the guide carriage 4' here has a base body 41' extending in the longitudinal direction of the guide channel 323 of the carrier plate 32.
[0095] Protruding from the base body 41', similar to the structure of the guide carriage 4 according to FIG. 4, but now in the region of the first end of the base body 41', is a guide pin 43', the free end of which is rotatably fixed in the receiving part 311 of the bearing plate 31 of the translation-rotation fitting 3.
[0096] A rotation bearing 14 is received in a receiving portion 311 of the bearing plate 31 for rotatably fixing the free end of the guide pin 43'. In the region of the end of the base body 41' of the guide carriage 4' away from the guide pin 43', first active bodies 71' protrude on both sides and are connected to the respective self-retracting devices 5 in a manner similar to the operation of the first active bodies 71 of the connecting element 7, as shown in Figures 22, 24 and 26.
[0097] Furthermore, in contrast to the variants of the embodiment shown in Figures 4, 9 and 12, the guide carriage 4' does not have wheels 42 attached to the sides of the base body 41, but has a sliding surface 42' that slides freely on the carriage track 324 of the carrier plate 32, as shown, for example, in Figures 21, 23 and 25.
[0098] Figure 21 shows the translation-rotation fitting 3 with the guide carriage 4' described above in the positional relationship of the bearing plate 31 to the carrier plate 32, which corresponds to the starting or open position of the framework 2 with the self-retracting device 5 not tensioned.
[0099] As shown in the detailed view of FIG. 22, the first active body 71 ′ is engaged with the driver 51 of the self-retracting device 5 . FIG. 23 shows the relative position of the carrier plate 32 with respect to the bearing plate 31, with the framework 2 in an intermediate position between the start position and the open position.
[0100] The self-retracting device 5 is now in a retracted state. The driver 51 of the self-retracting device 5 is now locked in the retracted position, as shown in the detailed view of Figure 24. The first active body 71 is released from the driver 51.
[0101] FIG. 25 shows the relative position of the carrier plate 32 to the bearing plate 31 of the translation-rotation fitting 3, in which the self-retraction device 5 is activated. In this position, as shown in Figure 22, the first active body 71' comes into contact with the driver 51 again and unlocks the driver 51, after which when the driver 51 returns to the position shown in Figures 21 and 22, the guide carriage 4' is pulled to the starting position by the connection between the first active body 71' and the driver 51, thereby moving the framework 2 of the furniture element 1 to the starting or open position.
[0102] 27 to 32 show alternative embodiment variations of such a self-retracting device 5. FIG. In a variant of this embodiment, the self-retracting device 5 comprises a toggle lever, which comprises a pendulum lever 51 pivotally mounted on the guide carriage 4 and a power lever 52 pivotally connected to the pendulum lever 51 and pivotally mounted on the carrier plate 32.
[0103] Furthermore, the self-retracting device 5 has at least one energy storage device 53 carried on the carrier plate 32, which is arranged on the power lever 52 or on the pendulum lever 51 as shown here. In this embodiment variant, the guide carriage 4 is basically constructed in the same manner as in the embodiment variants shown in FIGS.
[0104] In this embodiment variant of the guide carriage 4, instead of the wheels 42, the bearing surface is integrally formed on the side from which the guide pin 43 protrudes and rests on a rolling bearing 44 provided between the guide carriage 4 and the carriage track 324 of the carrier plate 32, allowing the guide carriage 4 to be displaced with low friction along the guide channel 323 of the carrier plate 32.
[0105] A first end of the pendulum lever 51 is pivotally attached to the rear side of the guide carriage 4 below the guide pin 43. A second end of the pendulum lever 51 is pivotally connected to a first end of the power lever 52. In a variant of the embodiment shown here, two energy storage devices 53 configured as tension springs are fixed to the power lever 52 at different distances from the bearing of the pendulum lever 51 .
[0106] The power lever 52 is pivotally mounted at its end to the carrier plate 32 by a pivot bearing 55 spaced from the bearing for the pendulum lever 51 . The pivot bearing 55 is securely fixed in a receptacle provided in the carrier plate 32 for this purpose.
[0107] The second end of the energy storage device 53 is also attached to the carrier plate 32 via a fastening bearing 56 . Further, as shown in Figures 27 and 28, a damper 54 is additionally arranged between the power lever 52 and the clamping bearing 56, which allows the self-retracting device 5 to dampen the movement of the framework 2 to the start or open position just before the start or open position is reached.
[0108] By utilizing such a toggle function of the self-retracting device 5, the self-retracting function can be enabled over a wide angle range of the rotational motion portion of the translation-rotation fitting 3. For example, a variation of the embodiment shown here allows the self-retracting device 5 to be actuated in the range of 30° to 40° before entering the start or open position.
[0109] Furthermore, damping of the entry movement with the aid of the damper 54 can begin much earlier in the movement of the framework 2, resulting in a uniform velocity curve when opening and closing the framework 2. Furthermore, the angular positions of the pendulum lever 51 and the power lever 52 allow that during the rotational movement of the framework 2, preferably in the angular rotation range of 45°-135°, no or only slight forces are introduced into the translation-rotation fitting 3 along the guide carriage 4, thereby allowing force-free rotation of the furniture element 1.
[0110] In order to keep the translation-rotation fitting 3 as flat as possible even when using such a self-retracting device 5, the carrier plate 32 has a power lever receiving portion 328 within which the power lever 52 can move. The guide groove 329 in the carrier plate 32 provides further guidance to the power lever 52 by extending the shaft that holds the damper 54 to the power lever 52 so that it protrudes into the guide groove 329 in the carrier plate 32 .
[0111] FIG. 29 shows the furniture element 1 rotated approximately 25 degrees relative to the fixed furniture element 15. FIG. 30 shows the furniture element 1 in a position rotated by approximately 45 degrees relative to the fixed furniture element 15. Figure 31 shows the furniture element 1 in the starting position (closed position), in which the toggle lever is fully released. FIG. 32 shows the furniture element 1 in the open position, with the toggle lever of the self-retracting device 5 also released. [Explanation of symbols]
