Abstract
Description
Technical Field
[0006]
[0001] The present invention relates to an improvement in an apparatus for displaying product samples in a vending machine.
Background Art
[0002] For example, in a vending machine that sells products contained in containers such as bottles, cans, and plastic bottles, a display chamber is provided on the front surface of the equipment housing. The display chamber promotes the sale of products by displaying product samples. As product samples, those made of resin having the same outer shape as the products for sale are often used, and in particular, those that are composed of only the front half when divided into two parts front and back and have an open back are often applied. A mounting portion is provided on the lower end surface of the product sample. The mounting portion is configured in a substantially semi-cylindrical shape with an outer diameter slightly smaller than the lower end portion of the product sample and the lower end opening covered by a bottom plate portion.
[0003] On the other hand, a display stand is provided in the display chamber for displaying product samples. The display stand holds the product sample through the mounting portion and has a mounting hole and a locking piece. The mounting hole is a portion where the mounting portion of the product sample is mounted and is configured to have an inner diameter slightly larger than the outer diameter of the mounting portion. The locking piece is a plate-like portion with a small width protruding forward from the peripheral portion located on the rear side of the mounting hole, and the front end portion is inclined so as to gradually rise upward.
[0004] With respect to this display stand, if the mounting portion is inserted into the mounting hole with the bottom plate portion of the product sample positioned below the locking piece, the product sample will be held upright on the upper surface of the display stand. Usually, a plurality of mounting holes are provided in a horizontal row on the display stand, and it is possible to display a plurality of product samples aligned in the display chamber.
[0005] By the way, in recent years, instead of such product samples, the use of a sheet-like product sample in which products are displayed on a flat and flexible sheet has been demanded.
[0006] In the aforementioned vending machine, when a sheet-like product sample is to be held on the display stand, the sheet-like product sample is held by a dedicated attachment member, and the attachment member is inserted into the corresponding mounting hole and engaged with the opening edge of the mounting hole (see, for example, Patent Document 1). [Prior art documents] [Patent Documents]
[0007] [Patent Document 1] Japanese Patent Publication No. 2021-135751 [Overview of the project] [Problems that the invention aims to solve]
[0008] In the aforementioned vending machine, while it is possible to selectively select and hold either a product sample or a sheet-type product sample, the attachment member for holding the sheet-type product sample is inserted into the corresponding mounting hole and engaged with the opening edge of the mounting hole. Therefore, adjustments such as rotating the attachment member are necessary to position the sheet-type product sample in the desired holding position, i.e., with the front facing forward, resulting in a complicated installation process for the sheet-type product sample.
[0009] In view of the above circumstances, the present invention aims to provide a product sample display device for an automatic vending machine that can hold selected sheet-shaped product samples and allows for easy attachment of said sheet-shaped product samples. [Means for solving the problem]
[0010] To achieve the above objective, the present invention provides a product sample display device for an automatic vending machine, comprising a display stand for holding product samples, the display stand having an open rear surface and a contact surface and mounting portion at its lower end, wherein the lower end of the mounting portion is covered by a bottom plate, the display stand comprising: a mounting hole into which the mounting portion is inserted, and a product sample mounting portion on which the product sample is placed by the upper surface contacting the contact surface when the mounting portion is inserted into the mounting hole; a locking portion formed in such a manner that it protrudes forward from the lower front end of its bottom; and a portion formed in such a manner that it protrudes downward from the bottom in the rear area of the bottom. A holder is provided which a part of the bottom of the product sample holder is placed on the upper surface of the product sample holder and the locking parts engage with the opening edge of the mounting hole, and the locking pieces engage with the opening edges of a pair of left and right locking holes formed behind the mounting hole in the product sample holder, thereby enabling the holder to be detachably attached to the product sample holder, wherein the holder holds the sheet-like product sample, on which at least a part of the product is displayed, on the bottom of the product sample holder by inserting both sides of the sheet-like product sample into a pair of left and right lateral support grooves formed thereon, thereby causing the sheet-like product sample to be placed on the bottom of the product sample holder in a curved state that is convex forward.
[0011] Furthermore, the present invention is characterized in that, in the above-mentioned vending machine product sample display device, the holder is provided with a connecting portion that connects the left and right pair of locking pieces.
[0012] Furthermore, the present invention relates to a product sample display device for the above-mentioned vending machine, wherein the display stand extends downward from the rear edge of the opening of the mounting hole, then bends, extends forward along the radial direction of the mounting hole, then bends upward so that its extended end is positioned above the mounting hole, and has an engaging piece that presses the contact surface against the upper surface of the product sample placement portion via the bottom plate when the mounting portion of the product sample enters the mounting hole, and the holder is formed in such a manner that it protrudes upward from the bottom and has a guide projection that clamps the lower end of the sheet-like product sample between itself and the extended end of the engaging piece.
[0013] Furthermore, the present invention is characterized in that, in the above-mentioned vending machine product sample display device, the display stand is equipped with a colored translucent sheet attached to the lower surface of the product sample placement section in a manner that closes the mounting holes.
[0014] Furthermore, the present invention relates to a product sample display device for the above-mentioned vending machine, characterized in that the display stand is integrally formed at the rear end portion of the product sample placement section in such a manner that it extends upward and downward, and is provided with a mounting wall portion on its rear surface that has locking claws protruding downward toward the rear.
[0015] Furthermore, the present invention is characterized in that, in the above-mentioned vending machine product sample display device, the mounting wall portion is provided with a mounting piece portion to which a holder capable of holding an actual product placed on the product sample placement portion as a new product sample in place of the product sample is detachably attached.
[0016] Furthermore, the present invention is characterized in that, in the above-mentioned vending machine product sample display device, the display stand is molded from a light-transmitting resin material. [Effects of the Invention]
[0017] According to the present invention, a holder capable of holding a sheet-like product sample, on which at least a portion of the product is displayed, on its bottom in a curved state that is convex forward, by inserting both sides of the sheet-like product sample into a pair of left and right lateral support grooves formed thereon, has a locking portion formed to protrude forward from the lower front end of the bottom, and a pair of left and right locking pieces formed in the rear area of the bottom to protrude downward from the bottom, and when a portion of the bottom is placed on the upper surface of the product sample mounting section, the locking portion locks onto the front edge of the opening of the mounting hole, and the locking pieces lock onto the rear edges of the opening of a pair of left and right locking holes formed behind the mounting hole in the product sample mounting section, thereby enabling the holder to detachably attach to the product sample mounting section, and thus capable of holding a selected sheet-like product sample. Moreover, since the direction of the holder is determined by the locking pieces locking onto the opening edges of the locking holes, there is no need to adjust the sheet-like product sample to a desired holding position, thus providing the effect of easily attaching the sheet-like product sample. Embodiments for Carrying Out the Invention
[0019] Hereinafter, a preferred embodiment of a product sample display device for a vending machine according to the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings.
[0020] Figure 1 is a perspective view showing the external configuration of a vending machine to which a product sample display device, which is an embodiment of the present invention, is applied. The vending machine illustrated here sells beverages in containers such as bottles, cans, and PET bottles as products, and has a front door 2 on the front of the equipment housing 1 that stores the products.
[0021] The front door 2 is supported by the equipment housing 1 via one side edge and can open and close the front opening (not shown) of the equipment housing 1. A display room 3 is provided behind this front door 2.
[0022] The display room 3 is designed to display multiple product samples 11 (see Figure 3), etc., as described later, and is configured as a rectangle with an open front. The front opening of the display room 3 is covered with a transparent resin panel 4, which prevents foreign objects from entering from the outside, while allowing the interior to be seen through the resin panel 4. The resin panel 4 is also equipped with push-button switches 5 corresponding to each of the product samples 11. In this vending machine, the customer can select a product to purchase from the product samples 11, and purchase the selected product by pressing the corresponding push-button switch 5.
[0023] As shown in Figure 2, display stands 7 are provided on the front of the back panel 6 in the display room 3. In the illustrated example, two display stands 7 are arranged side by side to form each tier, and the display rooms are arranged in three tiers vertically on the front of the back panel 6. Each display stand 7 holds, for example, six product samples 11, and each tier is designed to hold 12 product samples 11. However, the number of display stands 7 provided in the display room 3 and the number of product samples 11 held on each display stand 7 are not necessarily limited to those described above.
[0024] Here, we will describe the product samples 11 that the display stand 7 is intended to hold. As shown in Figure 3, the display stand 7 is intended to hold both the product samples 11 and the sheet-shaped product samples 12.
[0025] Product sample 11 is made of resin and has the same external shape as the product to be sold. In this embodiment, as shown in Figures 4 and 5, it consists only of the front half when divided into two halves, and has an opening 11a on the rear surface. As is clear from the figures, product sample 11 is mostly composed of a product-shaped part 11b, and a mounting part 11c is provided at its lower end. The mounting part 11c is a substantially semi-cylindrical portion that protrudes downward from the lower surface of the product-shaped part 11b, and its lower end is covered by a bottom plate part 11d. The lower end portion of the product-shaped part 11b has an external dimension larger than the outer diameter of the mounting part 11c, and has a contact surface 11e on its lower surface around the mounting part 11c, excluding the rear edge.
[0026] As shown in Figure 3, the sheet-like product sample 12 is a flat, flexible sheet on which the external shape of the product is displayed, and the sheet is made of a translucent resin material. This sheet-like product sample 12 is held in a holder 40, which will be described later.
[0027] Figures 6 to 8 are perspective views showing the external configuration of one display stand 7 as shown in Figure 2. In the following description, the configuration of the display stand 7 will be explained according to the directions indicated in Figures 6 to 8, that is, the directions when it is attached to the back panel 6 as shown in Figure 2.
[0028] As shown in Figures 6 to 8, the display stand 7 has a product sample placement section 20 and a mounting wall section 30, and these product sample placement section 20 and mounting wall section 30 are integrally molded from a translucent resin material such as polycarbonate.
[0029] The product sample placement section 20 is a flat plate-shaped portion with a front-to-back width on which product samples 11 can be placed. This product sample placement section 20 is provided with mounting holes 21 and locking holes 22. The mounting holes 21 are provided in a manner corresponding to the number of product samples 11 that can be held. The mounting holes 21 have an inner diameter slightly larger than the outer diameter of the mounting section 11c of the product sample 11 and are formed at approximately equal intervals along the left-to-right direction.
[0030] The locking holes 22 are formed in pairs on the left and right sides behind the mounting holes 21 in the product sample placement section 20. In other words, two locking holes 22 are formed in pairs on the left and right sides behind each mounting hole 21, and 12 locking holes are formed in one product sample placement section 20.
[0031] Furthermore, the product sample placement section 20 is provided with engaging pieces 23 on the opening periphery of each mounting hole 21. The engaging piece 23 is a narrow, plate-like portion that extends radially forward from the rear edge of the opening in the mounting hole 21, with its front end located beyond the center of the mounting hole 21. The rear end of the engaging piece 23 extends along the product sample placement section 20. The front end of the engaging piece 23 gradually extends downward toward the front, then curves upward, and is inclined to gradually rise toward the front, with its extended end 23a positioned above the mounting hole 21.
[0032] As shown in Figure 9, when the mounting portion 11c is inserted into the mounting hole 21 from the front with the bottom plate portion 11d inserted between itself and the upper surface 20a of the product sample mounting portion 20, the mounting portion 11c biases the bottom plate portion 11d downward by its own elastic restoring force while the mounting portion 11c is fitted into the mounting hole 21. As a result, the product sample mounting portion 20 can place the product sample 11 on it by the upper surface 20a coming into contact with the contact surface 11e.
[0033] A mounting notch 211 is formed in a part of the peripheral edge of the mounting hole 21, and a positioning projection 212 that protrudes inward is formed on the edge of the mounting notch 211. As shown in Figure 5, when a bulge 11f is formed in a part of the mounting portion 11c that bulges outward (radially outward) from the mounting portion 11c, the mounting notch 211 allows the bulge 11f to enter when the mounting portion 11c is inserted into the mounting hole 21.
[0034] The mounting wall portion 30 is a flat plate-like portion that extends upward and downward from the rear end portion of the product sample placement portion 20, and is formed over the entire left-right area of the product sample placement portion 20. The mounting wall portion 30 is provided with locking claws 31 and a forward-tilting prevention piece 32.
[0035] As shown in Figure 10, the locking claws 31 are used to lock the display stand 7 to the back panel 6 by inserting them into the rear locking holes 6a provided in the back panel 6, and are provided at both the left and right ends of the rear surface of the mounting wall portion 30. These locking claws 31 are formed in such a manner that they protrude downward toward the rear from the rear surface of the mounting wall portion 30. More specifically, the locking claws 31 are formed in an inclined manner that they protrude downward toward the rear from the rear surface of the mounting wall portion 30, and gradually move away from the rear surface as they extend downward.
[0036] Multiple anti-tipping pieces 32 are provided on the rear surfaces of both the left and right ends of the mounting wall portion 30, and on the rear surface between the two locking claws 31 of the mounting wall portion 30 (four in the illustrated example). These anti-tipping pieces 32 are provided in a manner that they protrude backward from the rear surface, and extend along the vertical direction in a manner that gradually moves away from the rear surface of the mounting wall portion 30 as they extend downward.
[0037] A mounting piece 33 is provided on such a mounting wall 30. The mounting piece 33 is provided by forming mounting slits 33a on the left and right sides at the upper end portion of the mounting wall 30, more specifically at the upper end portion of the area behind the mounting hole 21.
[0038] As shown in Figure 11, a metal holder 9 is detachably attached to such a mounting piece 33. As shown in Figure 12, the holder 9 is attached to the mounting piece 33 in such a manner that it passes through the mounting slit 33a. The holder 9 uses its own elastic restoring force to grip a product sample (hereinafter also referred to as an actual product sample) 13, which is made of an actual product different from the product sample 11, and places it on the product sample mounting section 20.
[0039] Figures 13 and 14 are perspective views showing the external configuration of the holder 40 shown in Figure 3. The holder 40 illustrated here is made of, for example, a resin material, and is constructed by integrally molding a bottom portion 41, a lateral support guide portion 42, a guide projection 43, a locking portion 44, and a locking piece 45.
[0040] The bottom portion 41 is a horizontally extending portion whose maximum width in the left-right direction is greater than the inner diameter of the mounting hole 21. The lateral support guide portions 42 are provided on the bottom portion 41 in a pair, extending upward.
[0041] Of these lateral support guide portions 42, the left lateral support guide portion (hereinafter also referred to as the left lateral support guide portion) 421 has a left guide base portion 421a and a left support piece portion 421b.
[0042] The left-side guide base 421a is a flat plate-shaped portion erected at the left end of the bottom portion 41 with its front facing forward. The left-side support piece 421b is a portion that gradually inclines to the right as it extends forward from the left end portion of the left-side guide base 421a. A left-side support groove 421c is formed between the left-side guide base 421a and the left-side support piece 421b.
[0043] Of the lateral support guide sections 42, the right lateral support guide section (hereinafter also referred to as the right lateral support guide section) 422 has a right guide base 422a and a right support piece 422b.
[0044] The right-side guide base 422a is a flat plate-like portion erected at the right end of the bottom portion 41, with its front facing forward. The lower end of this right-side guide base 422a is connected to the left-side guide base 421a. The right-side support piece 422b is a portion that gradually inclines to the left as it extends forward from the right end of the right-side guide base 422a. A right-side support groove 422c is formed between the right-side guide base 422a and the right-side support piece 422b.
[0045] The guide projection 43 is formed on the bottom portion 41. More specifically, the guide projection 43 is formed on the front edge of the rectangular notch 411 formed on the bottom portion 41, projecting upward, and is formed so that its left-right dimension is greater than its vertical dimension.
[0046] The locking portion 44 is a flat plate-like portion formed in such a manner that it protrudes forward from the lower front end of the bottom portion 41, that is, from the central part of the bottom portion 41 in the left-right direction, and from the lower front end that is in front of the rectangular cutout 411.
[0047] The locking pieces 45 are a pair of left and right pieces formed in the rear area of the bottom portion 41, projecting downward from the bottom portion 41. Of these locking pieces 45, the left locking piece (hereinafter also referred to as the left locking piece) 451 is formed to extend rearward from the rear surface of the left guide base portion 421a and then extend downward, with a hook portion 451b projecting rearward from its extended lower end 451a. Here, the extended lower end 451a of the left locking piece 451 is sized to enter the locking hole 22.
[0048] Of the locking pieces 45 described above, the right locking piece (hereinafter also referred to as the right locking piece) 452 is formed in such a manner that it extends rearward from the rear surface of the right guide base 422a and then extends downward, and a hook portion 452b that protrudes rearward is formed at its extended lower end 452a. Here, the extended lower end 452a of the right locking piece 452 is sized to enter the locking hole 22. The distance between these locking pieces 45 (left locking piece 451 and right locking piece 452) is approximately equal to the distance between the pair of left and right locking holes 22, and the locking pieces 45 are connected to each other by a connecting portion 46 that extends along the left-right direction.
[0049] As shown in Figures 15 to 17, such a holder 40 is attached to the product sample placement section 20 by having a portion of its bottom 41 rest on the upper surface 20a of the product sample placement section 20, with the locking portion 44 entering the mounting hole 21 from above and locking onto the front edge of the opening of the mounting hole 21, and the locking piece 45 entering the locking hole 22 from above and locking onto the rear edge of the opening of the locking hole 22.
[0050] Then, the holder 40 inserts both sides of the sheet-like product sample 12 into the left support groove 421c and the right support groove 422c, and inserts the lower end of the sheet-like product sample 12 between the guide projection 43 and the extended end 23a of the engaging piece 23 to clamp it, thereby placing and holding the sheet-like product sample 12 on the bottom 41 in a state where it is bent forward in a convex manner, as shown in Figure 18.
[0051] Incidentally, the holder 40 can be removed from the display stand 7 when the locking piece 45 and the rear edge of the locking hole 22 are released due to the connecting portion 46 being pressed from the rear. In other words, the holder 40 is detachably attached to the product sample placement section 20.
[0052] As described above, in the product sample display device according to the embodiment of the present invention, a product sample 11 can be held on the display stand 7, a real product sample 13 can be held by attaching the holder 9, and a sheet-like product sample 12 can be held by attaching the holder 40. The holder 40 is attached to the display stand 7 by having a part of the bottom portion 41 placed on the upper surface 20a of the product sample placement portion 20, with the locking portion 44 entering the mounting hole 21 from above and locking onto the front edge of the opening of the mounting hole 21, and the locking pieces 45 entering from above into a pair of left and right locking holes 22 formed behind the mounting hole 21 and locking onto the rear edges of the openings of the locking holes 22, thereby eliminating the need to adjust the sheet-like product sample 12 to a desired holding position, as in the conventional method.
[0053] Therefore, the above-described product sample display device can hold the selected sheet-shaped product sample 12 and allows for easy attachment of the sheet-shaped product sample 12.
[0054] According to the above-described product sample display device, the connecting portion 46 that constitutes the holder 40 connects a pair of left and right locking pieces 45. Therefore, by simply pressing the connecting portion 46 from the rear, the locking state between the locking pieces 45 and the rear edge of the opening of the locking hole 22 can be easily released, and the holder 40 can be easily removed from the product sample placement portion 20 of the display stand 7.
[0055] Although preferred embodiments of the present invention have been described above, the present invention is not limited thereto, and various modifications can be made.
[0056] Figure 19 is a perspective view showing a modified example of a product sample display device according to an embodiment of the present invention. Note that components similar to those in the product sample display device described above are denoted by the same reference numerals, and redundant explanations are omitted.
[0057] As shown in Figure 19, a colored translucent sheet 50 may be attached to the underside of the display stand 7 in a manner that closes each mounting hole 21. This colored translucent sheet 50 is a translucent resin sheet that has been given a predetermined color, and its edge is attached to a mounting piece 25 formed on the underside of the display stand 7. The colored translucent sheet 50 has slits 51 formed at positions corresponding to each mounting hole 21, and is configured to be attached to the underside of the display stand 7 even when pressed by an engaging piece 23. Here, the colored translucent sheet 50 shown in Figure 19 is formed over the entire width of the display stand 7, but in the present invention, it may be formed to a size that can be attached to each mounting hole 21 of the display stand 7, or it may be formed to a size that can be attached to multiple mounting holes 21. This makes it possible, for example, to apply colors such as blue or orange to multiple colored translucent sheets and attach them individually according to the temperature of the products being sold.
[0058] In a product sample display device in which such a colored translucent sheet 50 is attached to a display stand 7, as shown in Figure 20, light from a lighting device 60, such as an LED, installed below passes through the colored translucent sheet 50, illuminating the background of the sheet-shaped product sample 12, etc., in a predetermined color. This eliminates the need to attach colored sheets, etc., to the background of the product sample, which was previously required, and promotes sales by highlighting the products being sold.
