Abstract

To provide a small-sized low-cost multilevel power converter in which a large number of unit converters are connected in series.SOLUTION: A multilevel power converter includes: a main circuit board 10; a capacitor board 13; a unit converter including a switching element S, a cell capacitor Ca, and a gate drive circuit 21; and a positive side converter arm and a negative side converter arm in which unit converters are connected in series. The main circuit board 10 includes the switching element S and the gate drive circuit 21 included in the unit converters. Claims

1. A multilevel power converter having a unit converter including a switching element and a cell capacitor, and a converter arm in which a plurality of the unit converters are connected in series, A main circuit board on which switching elements included in multiple unit converters are mounted, A capacitor board on which the cell capacitor is mounted for each of the unit converters, Equipped with, A multilevel power converter characterized in that the main circuit board and the capacitor board are connected in a stacked state.
