To provide a method for manufacturing a secondary battery with a uniform good coating film formed therein while suppressing the increase in manufacturing cost.SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing a secondary battery comprises: an electrode body-preparation step of preparing an electrode body 20 including a positive electrode containing a positive electrode active material 32 and having an organic acid added thereto, and a negative electrode containing a negative electrode active material 42; an electrode body-housing step of housing the electrode body 20 in an outer packaging body; a first injection step of injecting a first nonaqueous electrolyte solution of which the content of a B element-containing oxalate compound is below a predetermined amount into the outer packaging body with the electrode body 20 housed therein; and a second injection step of injecting a second nonaqueous electrolyte solution of which the content of a B element-containing oxalate compound is a predetermined amount into the outer packaging body with the first nonaqueous electrolyte solution injected thereinto.
