Abstract

To provide a microfluidic device that can seed cells and construct a gel surface with excellent observability, and to provide a method of using the microfluidic device.SOLUTION: The microfluidic device comprises: a plate-shaped main body having a first main surface and a second main surface facing each other in a first direction; a first flow path formed inside the main body and extending along a plane between the first main surface and the second main surface; and a plurality of first channel ports extending in the first direction, and each having one end opening to an end of the first flow path and the other end opening to the second main surface. The first flow path has an enlarged portion in which a flow path width increases from the first main surface side to the second main surface side when viewed in an extending direction of the first flow path.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
