Abstract

Provided is a water-absorbing resin which can absorb a water-based liquid such as an antifreeze to achieve a satisfactory level of swelling / gelation even under low-temperature environments. The water-absorbable resin has the following properties: (a) the value of Vortex at 0°C is 30 seconds or less; (b) the (Vortex at 0°C) / (Vortex at 30°C) ratio is 5 or less; (c) the GEX value is 17 or more; and (d) the value of CRC is greater than 25 g / g.
